I rarely write reviews; I am part of that population that reads them though. I am a college student with meager means. I bought myself a BMW for graduating and getting into law school. When my car broke down, I was incredibly stressed out about it, anyone who owns a BMW unless it’s under warranty, it’s like okay how much is this going to cost me. The amazing guy I bought my BMW from gave me a card with JP Automotive and said if anything goes wrong call them. I was weary at first, the prices I was getting for the work I needed done over $2,000.00 almost $3,000 on the high end. Side note: What ended up being the problem was a sprocket connected to the timing chain had broken. My serpentine belt needed to be replaced, I had them change the pulley and idler, they also changed the manifold gasket and did an oil change and air filter change and some other work for around $1800.00 total‼! Now ladies and gentleman, when I tell you that was low from what I was getting priced on I MEAN LOW‼! The whole process from start to finish went smoothly Ivonne and her husband JP are a true gem‼ The entire team at JP automotive where GREAT‼! I was so nervous about certain things, meaning, when fixing the original issue some other stuff came up. Now not having a lot of extra money, I was scared when Ivonne told me, but she reassured me no work would be done without consulting me. She stood true to that I was able to get the other work done for a fair price that didn’t add to much to the original bill. I did bring in some of my OEM and OE parts I had gotten the other parts where replaced by JP Automotive with OE and OEM parts as well. That is definitely a plus for me. All in all, I’m glad I went to JP automotive and will continue to take my BMW to them. Again, THANK YOU IVONNE AND JP FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART THANK YOU.

This place is a scam! I would NEVER recommend this place to any friend .They did air-conditioning repair that led to lights popping up on the dash. I had to return my vehicle and then Javier took the lights off the dash. The shop was closing and he did everything quickly and on the way home another light pops up and had to take the vehicle back the following day and he charged $120 just to check and another $120 because he said a light burned-out and he repaired it. The lights were brand new and one simple issue led to an almost $800 bill. Once I questioned all of this him and his wife were upset and returned my vehicle scratched up and I'm guessing from all the mess they have there.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. If you want to get ripped off and keep returning for issues they tweak in your vehicle good luck! These people act nice and will make money off of you. ***In response to your reply ma'am you are a complete scam. WOW". Can't believe you responded with such lies defending yourself. Hope God helps you and you learn some work ethics and honesty because people like you should be shut down. I feel sorry for the people who truly trust they are getting honest diagnostics. Be a little more professional for your sake.

This shop is unique. I don't have experience with their work but they are my go-to shop from now on. I was referred to them by a local parts shop that read my Check Engine light. Truth be told I had a checked a couple other places prior to calling them. Yvonne promptly returned by call. She took my info (diagnosis code, VIN#) What follows is unbelievable. I had received quotes from $400-$700. I was not sure what I was going to do, budget was tight due to extreme medical expenses this year. Within 24 hrs Yvonne called, she said when she researched code with my VIN# she found an Extended Warranty that covered that particular issue. She suggested I go to a dealer so the warranty could cover. Who does that anymore? It does not end there. I went to Gunn Nissan, they claimed not to know about any extended warranty but they could charge me to diagnose it because not all shops know what they are doing. When I advised Yvonne, she asked me if SHE could call around for me. Who does that anymore? She made calls and connected with an Advisor at Ancira Nissan who confirmed warranty and took care of it for me. I HIGHLY recommend this shop for the best in customer service and honest treatment. Don't leave your vehicle here!! The staff here have the worst customer service ever! Twice they have caused me great inconvenience and didn't even do any repairs. The first time I left my suv to have the a.c. looked at and they kept it for a whole week without any communication with me. I contacted them numerous times while i had a rental car. At the end of the week i was given a million excuses to why nothing had been said or done. To avoid another week of renting a car I had to just pick up my suv w/o repairs. The 2nd time I dropped my suv off to have it looked at bc it was not driving like normal. The timing was good bc i was going out of town for a week. When i returned they hadn't even looked at my car or contacted me at all. They completely forgot!! I had to pick it up bc i had no other transportation and when a family member went in to get the key, she wasn't even questioned about who she was! So they will just give your car to anyone, no questions asked!! This place sucks! They are incompetent and a complete waste of your time!!

Needed work done on my 2000 4Runner, I figured it would have taken a few days to complete what needed to be done. I was pleasantly surprised when the owner himself began the repairs (walking me through what needed to be done and explaining in great detail why it was important) and completed the work much quicker than I expected. Customer service was excellent and knowledgeable. I will definitely be recommending this shop to my friends and family. If I need any work done on my vehicle, this is the place I know I can trust and rely on. Could not be happier with how I was treated/taken care of at this shop. The negative review that is listed seems very out of place. The staff was superb and didn''t make me feel like an idiot when I asked what would could be seen as "dumb questions" anywhere else. I will be taking any vehicle I have here, very professional and trustworthy staff.

Excellent service/repairs done by the shop,, over coming all kinds of difficulties including numerous wrong parts delivered by the dealer through no fault of the shop. Owner had to personally go down to the dealer, matching the required parts. Very frustrating, and time consuming.. Having once owned a repair shop, i can appreciate the quality of work performed. They ran into numerous difficulties that would deter most shops. They will not put out inferior work for the sake of time. They wont release the vehicle till they are satisfied the work was done correctly, not cutting any corners. Very professional in all aspects, can't say enough for the quality and trouble shooting skills of the shop! Will definitely do business with them again should the need arise.

JP Automotive Repair Shop is a great place in San Antonio for repairing any kind of cars. I met first time with Javier and his wife Yvonne in 2009 through a friend that recommended me and I've been going to them for my auto (Lexus, BMW, Prius and Cayenne Porsche) repairs ever since. Specially Javier is technically very expert in any kind of cars. His other staffs are also very expert and polite.They are honest, very friendly and always accommodating. My husband was stranded on highway we had our vehicle towed here. Right when the vehicle arrived we received a call letting us know the truck was received they would be doing a diagnostic evaluation on car. Shortly after we received an email with repair cost. Once we agreed and approved they got to work on our truck. The radiator was repaired and a few hose were replaced. They more fluids and the truck is running smooth according to my husband this morning. Very professional and prompt. Yvonne and Javier run a professional business and even went above and beyond for me and my family. God bless them and this company. Would recommend over and over again.

My daughter bought a car from a car dealership and a week later she started to have problems. They had their own mechanic on their property who tried finding and fixing the problem several times but couldn’t. They took it to JP automotive repair shop. This was the best thing that they did. After they did several repairs and couldn’t fix it, jp automotives got it right. The people are so honest and care about their customers safety. This is an excellent place for all your automotive repair needs! Yvonne and Xavier are very nice and welcoming. They provide valuable assessment and solution to customers. I bought an used car from a dealership nearby that they did a complete pre-purchase inspection of it which helped me make the purchasing decision. I have also done some minor maintenance work that Xavier did very well and my car so far has been running great. Yvonne is very friendly and an excellent businesswoman! Overall, my experience with JP Automotive has been wonderful and I encourage others to check them out for their auto care.

JP Automotive has been my go-to place for all our vehicles (BMW, Kia, Mercedes, Nissan, Toyota) for over ten years and I highly recommend them without any reservations. Their professionalism, honesty and attention to detail meets and exceeds expectations every single time --whether it's a quick oil change or a major repair. The owners are very dedicated, knowledgeable and kind. And although Mr. Pineda is the chief mechanic, I suspect it's really Mrs. Pineda who runs the shop and makes your experience absolutely wonderful.

Our truck got broken into while staying at a hotel in San Antonio. They messed with the ignition system as the thieves were trying to steal the truck. Not knowing anyone in town. we looked up auto repair places on Google and gave these guys a try. They were fast, friendly, Professional and had our truck fixed in no time. They even worked on Saturday just so that we could have our truck ready to go back home. I will recommend to anyone who is looking for great service at a reasonable price.

I was very pleased with my experience here, my dad referred me because my car was having trouble starting up I went to multiple mechanics with no luck and finally they towed my car to their shop and within a day they fixed the car and left my car detailed spotless. Our car was scheduled for the AC work & the work was done in a timely manner. We then decided we wanted a couples of other things checked & fixed. Just got back from New Orleans with my vehicle repaired at JP automotive . The car runs great. Originally took it Mazda dealership and was told the motor was no good? On a Mazda3 2016? Really?
