Bangunan museum bercirikan istana Melayu tradisional negara bagian Terengganu. Desain gedung dipilih sendiri oleh Tunku Abdul Rahman. Namun, setelah saya telusuri lebih lanjut dan saya perhatikan baik-baik ternyata arsitektur bangunan museum ini meniru struktur rumah adat Minangkabau. Pada bagian depan museum dipasang dinding mosaik yang menceritakan kegiatan ekonomi, adat istiadat, dan budaya setempat. Museum menempati bangunan bertingkat tiga. Sebagian besar koleksi museum menceritakan mengenai sejarah Malaysia. Di dalamnya terdapat empat galeri utama yang memamerkan kebudayaan Cina, kebudayaan India, tembikar, flora dan fauna Malaysia, serta cara hidup orang Malaysia, seperti bangsawan Melayu.

This place is small but "packs a punch". Explanations in Malay and English. It was definitely worth a visit to learn about Malaysia but also the other countries where the Malay people lived and traded and how other countries influenced Malaysia eg chinese pottery with decoration from the Quoran and muslim scientists. There is a little bit about the pre history peoples and the indiginous peoples but not too much on the latter., which I found sad. However, lots about the European colonisation and Malaysia Post colonisation and achievements.

They have 4 main section. Lower ground cover prehistory artifacts on one wing and the other covers Melaka Sultanate. First floor covers Colonial era to Japanese occupation on one wing and Independence on the other wing. My wife is a Secondary School History teacher... She commented that the exhibits have information that she could not find online... She ended up taking photos left right and center. Worth a visit. The best thing is that the MRT stop is located just outside the Museum. No need to even cross the road.

Overall, it is a beautiful muzium in the city. Surprising now, with convenient by MRT Muzium Negara thru KL Sentral and well connected with all the tourist attractions nearby, won't go wrong 'll be a great place for family outing. For me, I can't find any country that had so many attractions combined each other nearby in the city; muzium, planetarium,police muzium, botanical garden, deer park, bird park, memorials, Nation Mosque etc....all into 1 except need to walk a lot.

Muzium Negara is the National museum of Malaysia. The information ranges right from the founding of Malaysia to current politics of the country. The insides have been well maintained and there are lots of specimens to see. There is so much knowledge to be gained from visiting this place. If you love world history and want to know more about Malaysia, this place will answer all your questions.

Great historical artifacts on display. It's information well presented. The museum management did a great job. School kids should be watched during their visit to the museum to prevent them running and shouting in the gallery causing nuisance to the general public.

Best place to know Malaysia history. Ticket only cost Rm3-5 per head. This place is good to everyone who need to know about the history of our country. Especially for young people. Good place to visit. Good artifacts of all antiques of Malaysia. Good for knowledge of history of Malaysia. The Museum with culture, history also. A highly recommended place to visit!!!

How rude are your ticket counter operators, 13:15 09/07/23? Refused accept a 50 note even though they had change (could see the stack of 5s 10s and 20s) and then stopped acknowledging us when we asked why they wouldn't let us purchase a ticket. Thankfully a security guard took us around to the shop to get change, but shouldn't of had to.

You can walk from KL sentral staion. Exit near the starbucks coffee shop, then you go up stairs, and walk along skywalk. You can arrive Q center. You down two floors and reach Muzium negara station. And then you can see the museum. Please Enjoy.

Been 3 years since my last visit and they still haven't fixed the air conditioning in the upper floors. All the information tablets don't seem to be working. They should consider having more temporary exhibitions to keep things interesting.

A good place to hangout with family and friends.... create your memory and gain knowledge in museums. It is worth it to come.

I really wanted to visit here. It's very convenient to go here. Instead of driving, we can take MRT and stop and Muzium Negara station. The information were very informative. Great place !
