I was recommended to Jackie’s for a crank problem. I dropped my car off Thursday night in hopes that Friday it would be fixed. Unfortunately, they were not able to repair or diagnose my car which is understandable. The mechanics are amazing however, the owner is irritating. I had to call a few times to get an update from him, and was told when I came in to pick up my vehicle (which should have been ready around 530) we would discuss the issue. I got there at 5-510 and the office was closed and the owner was no where to be found. The mechanics on site told me that Bruce (owner) was supposed to call me to let me know my car would not be ready, he was also supposed to call with any updated regarding my car which did not happen; I had to reach out to him. Again the mechanics, except the owner, amazing.

I took my 97 Ford Windstar to them in March of 2014 because the engine blew. They convinced me to swap the engine for a running used engine. They claimed they could trust their supplier. Total cost for the engine and their work was $2549.50. Now it is just over two years and the heads are leaking water into the oil. I contacted another shop with great reviews. Their service writer quoted me a price and went onto say that it was not worth it because the Windstars are notorious for this problem and it could happen again in another one to two years. It would have been great for Jackies to have been upfront with me in the beginning.

Bruce not only fixed my AC, - he fixed the absolute s*** out of it. I've never had colder air in a vehicle in my life. I drive an 05 saab, and it can be hard to track down parts for. Some places won't even bother, and those that do charge you for it. Bruce happily and confidently took it on and I got to say, I couldn't be more pleased with the results. One of the other reviews here says something to the effect of, "Bruce's demeanor is both vulnerable and tough as nails" and I couldn't have put it better myself. Definitely earned a lifetime customer, I'll tell everyone I know about Jackie's Auto Clinic.

Bruce is a down- to- earth guy. I had never heard of his shop before, I just happened to be passing by after my car had stalled at the grocery store. We stopped to talk to him about our car and he promptly helped us take our car out of there and brought it back to his shop at a reasonable price. His guys always kept me up to date with everything and despite the holidays my car was up and going sooner than I thought. It was a blessing to find him. I highly recommend him if you are looking for an honest, knowledgeable mechanic. You will not disappointed. Thank you Bruce❤

I read alot of positive reviews off of Angies List so I decided to take my 09 Eclipse GT in to get the dreaded timing belt job done. Everyone I called including the dealership were trying to get me to pay $500-$1000 just for the labor!! I talked to Bruce and he said for the labor on a job like that would be $385...I couldn't pass up on an offer like that. A day and a half later the car was ready and its been 2 months since and I haven't had any problems. I highly recommend this place, very professional, quick service and very affordable.

Bruce is honest & friendly. He took my son’s car, tested for two days for a bleed on the battery. Arranged for the battery to be warrantee replaced, which was purchased elsewhere. He charged me nothing. Has charged me fairly for the last two years of work on my car & truck. I miss Jackie, his mom, but Bruce has a way about him that is both vulnerable & tough. I simply like him a lot. But more importantly, his team’s work on my car is professional & excellent & everybody is friendly & helpful. They clearly like being there.

I always recommend them to my friends and family. They are probably the most honest mechanic team in Texas . We had a family friend that brought her car in for a battery replacement and she had just left something on. They recharged it for free and sent her on her way. My wife was told she had a bad alternator by an Autozone employee and was directed across the street to a mechanic to get it replaced there. I suggested we go to Jackie,s and we did. It was just the battery. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

You never feel good about spending money on a car problem, but it sure helps when you get the type of customer service offered by Bruce and his team. He came in with a significantly lower quote than the competitor. The mechanics are all respectful, cool folks, and Bruce takes time to thoroughly explain his process. He'll also take a look at bids from other mechanic's and explain his work and his pricing. Honest work, kind people, and a charming little shop. Wish I would have known about them sooner.

Bruce is the man! He is straight up and no bull. I am not only great full I found a mechanic that's not out to cheat you but I also love in walking distance too. Bruce and his crew have fix my lemon where I was near in buying a new car. He worked on my car 21 months ago and it's been purring like a happy kitty. The ONLY place I will EVER go now to get work done on my vehicle. They had to fix a break job done elsewhere. THANK GOODNESS I went to Jackie's Auto to get a second opinion on the break job that was done at another place. Jackie's Auto Clinic had to redo the 1st job. The best mechanic in San Antonio hands down! This shop has consistently helped me and my friends and family at a fair market price unlike other mechanic shops and all dealerships! They might be one of only shops that’s not out to trick you into unnecessary repairs! Came across them after I was quote $3700 by Ford of Boerne, Jackie’s resolved the real issue for $60!

This is an awesome garage. BMW wanted to charge me $2,400 to repair an electrical problem. They fixed the same problem with the same parts for $500. I also have a lifetime warranty on the parts. They could have overcharged me but did the work to use the parts under warranty so i would pay less. I recommend this shop to anyone who wants a good and fair mechanic.

This is by far one of the best auto mechanics I have ever had. Bruce and his crew will make sure things are done right, and will be diligent in finding your car problems. If anything needs rechecked they will make it right. They have went above and beyond for me many times. If your looking for good prices and a mechanic with solid integrity, this is your shop.

Bruce is always conscientious and honest. He gives a 6 month warranty on their work and that is almost unheard of any more. He will schedule the work and they get it back to you when they say. He provides a quote before the work is done and the price does not change when you go in to pick up your vehicle. I will refer all of my family and friends.

These people are amazing! Honest, communicative, and they truly work with you. I found them by chance because my daughter's car happened to break down less than a mile from them. They are a bit far from where I live, maybe 30 miles or so, but I will drive that far from now on, whenever I need my vehicles repaired! I highly recommend.

Do not go to this garage. I took my car to Angel to replace a timing belt. He sat on it for over a YEAR and didn't touch the car or return ONE phone call. In the meantime, my engine has rusted out. I do not recommend going to Angel or this shop at all for that matter. No one took responsibility for neglecting my vehicle.

As a retired business owner l see the good work the people do at Jackie's Auto Clinic. They have steady stream of work, all by word of mouth. I did not give them a all 5 stars because I live directly across from them and they clog amy esidential street with cats belonging to their customers. And they are noisy.

I have recommended them to many friends and after their first repair, they are “hooked” and have become regular return customers.
