This was by far and away the most egregiously inept and unprofessional salon that I have ever used for my fiance. (Her own personal review will be following) She went in to have her hair colored platinum blonde from the light blonde she currently had. Apparently no problem! She didn't instruct them to do anything outside of the color choice, so before Jackie O's husband comes on here trying to say she insisted on this, or insisted on that, and that is what caused the problem - like he is trying to say to all the others on here that also had their hair butchered and unprofessionally dyed - it is most assuredly not. She sat there and allowed what she thought were "professionally" trained colorists ply their trade. It is remarkable to me how awful this work was! Literally worse then if she bought a bottle/box job for $20 at Walgreens and let a 5 year old play with her hair! She walked out of that place looking like a bright nuclear banana. Let's get get this straight, as her husband tries to defend the horrific work in the other reviews below by saying that "they kept warning the customer not to do what she was asking, but she INSISTED" - no professional colorist will EVER complete dye and process work on hair if it "shouldn't be done", not if they value their brand and business. True professional grade, quality colorists take immense pride in their trade and will not over-process, fry out, or otherwise attempt an undertaking that can't be done, or will destroy the hair. Legitimately educated and trained colorists will never allow a customer to leave their salon the way these hack jobs sent my fiance out the door, particularly when she informed them we were going to a very posh event and gathering that evening. Good lord, what a disaster! The night was ruined, and she literally cried at how horrendous it was. I called Jackie and demanded a refund and said I was not willing to pay over $220.00 for the mind-numbingly awful fukishima wasteland she created on her head. She admitted that it was "very bad" and how sorry she was, how she made a mistake, and she would fix it for free and so on and so forth. Fix it for free? As if we would ever let that woman near her head again! I mean, are you serious??! The other reviews are spot on, this woman can NOT color hair. She then agrees to giving a full refund, to which I stated fine, but can you please txt me that you have agreed to fully refund us as I can not get back over there that night any more, it was already late. Of course, she refused to text me and started changing her offer saying that we should come back in so she can try and fix it. Unbelievable! Then her husband get's on the phone with me and starts trying to say the same song and dance about how her hair needed to be this and that before they can do that and this and it takes multiple phases to reach the end desired objective. Thanks Captain Obvious, but your wife told her what she was going to do BEFORE starting the process and explained what she was SUPPOSED to do, but clearly didn't know HOW to do. Again, no self-respecting colorist would ever let somebody out their door looking the way she did, and true customer service would be to follow through on your acknowledgement of shoddy work and grant the refund you agreed to give so we can get her hair fixed by an actual quality colorist. When she went the next day to another salon downtown for a consultation on how to proceed in repairing this travesty, the colorists were absolutely appalled at what was done to her hair, saying, and this is a quote, "this woman should not even have a license, she's not ready yet". Do yourselves a favor, good things are never cheap, and cheap things are never good, this salon is neither cheap nor good. Just horrible.

I never leave reviews, however this time I must. I went with my friend today, spent 2.5 hours for a haircut and glaze. No price description anywhere. 5 ladies were doing different stuff on my hair. The main one did my haircut, I told her how much to cut, it was little bit longer then I expected so I told her to cut it little bit more. Once we did the glaze, and then the blowout, i noticed how the layer under is at least 1-2 inches shorter then my upper layer, not to mention that they dont do ANY product on your hair, shampoo only not even conditioner, so dont even think about getting any treatment, masque or pre-heat product. However I figured this place is cheap, so I shouldnt be expecting much. The lady tried to blame me how she made a mistake with haircut because I told her to cut it little shorter, which doesnt make any sense, cause the layer was shorter than the upper one. She said I am not gonna charge you for haircut, and then she charged 80 dollars for a GLAZE, not to mention that the product is God knows which one. And she charged my friend 170 only and only for highlights. Shameful and disrespectful. I didnt expect much, but common, this is ridiculous! Trust me dont go there. Oh and they dont do a real blow out, they dry your hair and than they do it a little bit with a brush, and your hair is freezy ofcourse, no products!!!

Friendly staff but I will not be back. I wish I knew before coming here that they had little to no experience with curly hair. I asked for a haircut with bangs and they didn’t do it because “it won’t look good” - a haircut I’ve had before so I know it would’ve looked good! Although what they ended up doing was okay, I asked for a simple haircut yet they did what THEY wanted. When it came time for the blow dry.. it wasn’t a blow out at all! They used a flat brush to dry my hair… basically air dry. My roots were still frizzy and a bit curly! To fix it they had to flat iron it because it was not good and that didn’t help the roots anyway. They also used no products at all to protect my hair from the heat. I honestly wish I could get my money BACK for at least the “blow dry”.. Very very disappointed and also upset that I had to pay so much for something I didn’t like. What can you do to improve your service? Gain more knowledge on different types of hair and do as the customer asks because they know what they want.

First, I have hard to work with hair and its hard to find someone who knows how to handle it. And no, I didnt let them wash it first but that's bc my hair is thinning so I dont wash it every day. The stylist cut it TOO short even tho I kept saying she was cutting too much. Second, I have super curly hair and the stylist used a narrow tooth comb and aggressively combed it out after it dried. This also pulled out my hair and I looked like a ball of frizz by the time i left. They took me 20 mins late which caused the stylist to rush towards the end, since everyone was standing around in their coats. I also think she got nervous bc the owner sat right in front of us watching. She was trying to be helpful but her comment, 'it's only hair, it'll grow out' didnt sit well with me. BOTTOM LINE: From what I could tell, they do a great job on straight hair, as evidenced by the other clients I saw, and when they arent in a rush. Also, I did get the cut I wanted, it was just too short. A wash doesnt help that.

This was a horrible experience. I paid $160 for highlights root touch up, and they didn’t bring the highlights close enough to the root that it looked like I still had a root! Also they left very harsh lines where you could see the highlights and didn’t blend it at all! When I asked them to fix it, they said to come back in 3 weeks to fix it, which of course I wasn’t going to do because I can’t walk around for three weeks looking the way I did! It was important to have my hair perfect for the holidays and my boyfriend was going to propose to me in January and they left me looking horrible so I had to go to a more expensive salon to fix it! I wouldn’t recommend coming here, if you’re trying to save money by coming here you’ll actually spend more money because a better salon will have to correct the color!

I want to give Jackie O's a big THANK YOU for helping me fix my hair! I attempted to bleach my hair at home and it did not turn out as expected. I had the pleasure of Jackie fixing, coloring, and styling my hair. She graciously let me in earlier than the salon opened and got to work without an appointment. I am so happy with the way my hair turned out and I will definitely visit again for all my hair needs. I highly recommend her salon to everyone and will be telling all my family and friends! I love my haircut! I have very long and thick hair. The stylist was very efficient and meticulous at ridding my locks of all the split ends, my hair feels good and looks healthy. I did a Google search for “best salon for Asian hair near me” and this salon was 1st on the list. I chose this place because the pictures of previous clients had amazing hair color treatments! There was free parking in front. My haircut without a wash cost $15! I’ll be cutting my hair here from now on. Thank you Jackie O’s Salon!

I brought my 7 year old daughter here to donate her hair for Wigs for Kids. It was easy to get an appointment, and all of the staff were kind, patient, and made my daughter feel so comfortable with the process. When they finished cutting the hair for the donation, they gave her a beautiful haircut and she left with a big smile!!! I was very impressed with all of the salon staff, and highly recommend this salon!

Lady in charge never told me they don't accept credit she waited for me to get my service to then try to put the blame on so wrong on top service was not good especially the eye braw i still have hair and alot ! Jackie cut my hair and did balayage. I went around other salons to find a hair stylist who can do what I wanted. Jackie really studied my inspiration picture and asked me my preferences and what I am trying to achieve. I had such a great experience and this place is very affordable! I definitely left feeling like I got the best bang for my buck!

Stopped at Jackie O's salon to get a haircut for a summit I am attending. They did a spectacular job! Not only the staff is professional, but the atmosphere is relaxing and price is really reasonable. Been having my hair done there for about 2 years now. Jackie is great, knowledgeable and works out with you in suggesting new hair styles. I keep my hair short, pixie and not everyone knows how to cut it for me to be able to maintain it between visits but Jackie does. Happy with her and the salon.

I went in to get my edges trimmed and walked out with my hair being over 3 inches shorter after I explicitly told them multiple times I only wanted it trimmed. I have never been so disappointed with a haircut in my life. Next time just tell me you can’t do it before ruining my hair.

Took my five-year-old to get her haircut and asked for a straight blunt cut. I forgot the name of the woman who cut her hair but she did a great job, the staff was very nice very quick and we were able to get a same day appointment, the salon was also very clean.

Jackie is skilled, flexible, and attentive. When I was there, plenty of men, women, and children from the neighborhood came in for a cut. Busy but not too crowded. I got a funky cut and highlights for $150 and am very pleased. They accept cash or Zelle payments.

Cheap price for men and really quick cut. I don't think they can do much about men style. I think this place for women style and colors. Avoid weekend if you don't want to wait long time even with reservation.

I've been to Jackie O's a number of times. They do good work at a fair price. I love the shampoo with the hair cut. I travel a bit to get there l, but it's worth it.

I like the way they chop my hair. If you want your hair colored it's a guessing game less you have had it done there before. They dont have samples of colors.They only take cash.
