I highly recommend Jimmy's Athletic Club to anyone who looking for a great workout and a welcoming community. I had a fantastic experience at this gym gor the past month. I absolutely loved it there! Jimmy himself was an exceptional instructor, and I can't thank him enough for introducing me to the world of boxing. I attended the Beginner's Boxing class on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat and Kickboxing on Tue and Thu. Every class was unique and challenging, which kept me engaged and motivated throughout my time there. I didn't miss a day - I went for 16 days straight, except for Sundays when the gym was closed, and all the classes were a blast. Jimmy is an amazing trainer who knows how to push you to your limits while making it fun. The atomosphere was welcoming and friendly, and the people were amazing. Even as a newcomer to boxing, I felt comfortable and supported. Unfortunately, I had to quit because I moved out of Toronto. If I hadn't moved, I would have definitely continued going to Jimmy's athletic Club. Thank you, Jimmy, and the entire team, for making my time at the gym an unforgettable one!!

For someone who has always disliked working out I somehow find myself coming here consistently every week for the past 8 months! I started out with semi personal private training (usually with 2-3 other ppl or sometime by myself!) and jimmy curates a workout regime catered to what you want to achieve. After that i joined his boxing classes and have been coming 1-2 times every week, Jimmy incorporates learning boxing techniques with yourself & partners, and some cardio/strength training mixed in for a great overall workout. The classes are so much fun with everyone there also there to enjoy a fun workout with all of us dying in the end, so you dont feel self conscious about working out with other people, you definitely start looking forward to seeing everyone again for another work out. Much recommend coming here if youre starting your workout journey or looking for a chill place to train and no bro vibes!

My husband and I have been attending Jimmy's Athletics for private sessions since May 2023. Trying to find a workout that would motivate the both of us at the same time was a struggle. Luckily, I happened to see a social media interview with Jimmy which piqued my interest for a visit. Don't be fooled by the size of the gym. Everything needed to get you into shape can be found here. You'd be surprised with how much sweat drips off your face just by using a rubber band! Jimmy knows what each individual person needs and caters to strengthening their areas of weakness. Muscle definition is definitely showing up in these middle aged bodies:) If we are willing to travel on the TTC to Jimmy's gym when we prefer to stay within our west end neighbourhood, then you know we have found a gem.

I have been taking boxing and semi-private personal training classes at Jimmy’s for several months now and have had a great experience with both. Jimmy and his trainers are all friendly and knowledgeable and make the gym a very comfortable environment, even for out of shape people like me! The semi-private personal training classes are tailored specifically to each person and you still get lots of support with other clients in the class. Boxing classes are super fun and different every week. You don’t need to know anything about boxing to get started in the classes, but people with some experience will still have a good workout. Overall, it is a positive atmosphere with great classes and staff, and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend it to anyone!

Oh boy, let me tell you something.... joining Jimmy's has been the highlight of my year! Just finished my twelfth week and signed up for another 6 weeks. Feeling stronger and healthier than ever. Jimmy's gym is incredibly inclusive, unlike any other I've been to. The sense of community is fantastic, and I genuinely look forward to every session and walk out always feeling great. The structured 6-week sessions keep me committed, and Jimmy, is not only kind and hilarious but also very knowledgeable. He takes the time to get to know you, is fair, and pushes you to your limits when you need to be. If you're looking to get back into a fitness routine and build strength, I wholeheartedly recommend it! P.S. Jimmy, can we skip the bike now? Ha.

Jimmy's Athletic Club sets itself apart from other gyms through the community building it has. Open, inclusive and respectful, no one is ever made to feel that they aren't good enough to train there. The Muay Thai classes are absolutely fantastic for a beginner to get started in, with experienced training programs provided by Jimmy and Coach Troy. You will learn conditioning and technique at the beginning, before moving on to controlled sparring environment (the best part of the classes). Everyone is fun to be around while respecting each other's skill level as well. With an easy to reach location right at Bloor and Bathurst, Jimmy's is a fantastic choice if you're looking to start something new or get back into athletics!

I had an amazing experience training with Jimmy. I’ve always made an effort to be active throughout the years but struggled with consistency and structure. I started this program as a newbie in lifting and with that came with a lot of some gym anxiety. Jimmy pays close attention to your personal goals and does so with so much care and effort. He educates and guides me and other clients with positive and encouraging attitude, i always felt safe and comfortable. I finished my 6 week program feeling like a new person, feeling confident enough to lift on my own, gained lots of general fitness and health knowledge, learned many techniques, forms and and lastly with results that encourage me to keep going on my fitness journey.

I dropped by Jimmy's fitness after seeing a BlogTO post and I honestly haven't left since. I took a long break from boxing classes and was anxious about coming back after so many years. But I'm glad I did! With the help of the trainers, I got my technique back and now I'm stronger than I have been in YEARS. This is not your typical boxing gym. The atmosphere is inviting and there is no toxic gym culture. You will feel the positive and friendly vibes as soon as you walk in (usually in the form of Jimmy's smiling face and a fist bump). The trainers will push you to your limit but in the most positive way. This gym is suitable for both beginners and fitness freaks. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I've been attending this gym since June 2022 and I couldn't be happier with my experience. I go to the 6 am classes and train with Jimmy, who is an amazing coach. He's helped me attain all my fitness goals, including being able to do pull-ups, staying consistent, and most recently, completing a boxing punch challenge. Jimmy is an excellent trainer who keeps things fresh and is always attentive to the range of people's experience and expertise in the class. He's also very supportive and encouraging, which makes the workouts more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend this gym and Jimmy as a trainer to anyone who wants to improve their fitness level and have fun while doing it.

I can't say enough good things about this gym. Jimmy, Paya and the rest of the trainers have an approach that is equal parts friendly and firm, always open to questions, and focused on making your workout actually work for you. I used to make any excuse to avoid working out. I tried a million things and gave up on all of it. Now, I'm almost 10 weeks into the semi-private personal training program and - I still can't believe I'm saying this - I actually look forward to working out. I feel noticeably stronger and so much happier in my body. If you're thinking of signing up, just do it. It's the best choice I've made all year.

Jimmy’s Athletic Club is truly what keeps me going during the week! I’ve been attending the boxing classes since October and I truly can’t get enough. I’ve met some great people and leave every class feeling on top of the world! Jimmy is a fantastic coach who pushes everyone to work as hard as they can. The community is amazing and is always full of positive people who are there to work out and have fun. The music is great, the space feels safe and everyone is so welcoming. So glad to have found this place! I've been doing semi-private sessions here for about 7 months and still loving it. The semi-private model is perfect for me as I need guidance and accounability to stay motivated, but don't like too much focus just on me. If you're in search of a non-judgemental gym this is the place! I've never felt uncomfortable or out of place here (you don't need to find the perfect athleisure outfit). And, Jimmy and his team are the best and nicest group of trainers I've come across - they encourage you along the way, you'll be surprised what you can accomplish here!

I started coming to this gym to do semi-private personal training after a long time off of exercising due to an ankle injury and subsequent surgery. Jimmy is incredibly welcoming, the program is fun and filled with variety, and after a few months, my fitness was back to where I wanted it to be, and I felt extremely capable. I couldn’t recommend this program or highly, and the other people who workout in the gym are also all wonderful. Welcoming, friendly, and without any of the ego that’s attached to some gyms. A great place to workout and a great team to workout with.

I've been going to Jimmy's boxing classes since November 2022, and they're hands down the best workouts I've ever done. Jimmy and his team are all excellent teachers. Jimmy has built an incredible community with his students. He takes his time to speak with everyone, knows their names, and asks for their wellbeing. The class format includes warm-ups, fitness, bag work, and partner work. The burnouts at the end of every class leave you with a sense of accomplishment and self-satisfaction for having gone through 1 hour of intense workouts. 10/10 would recommend!

Jimmy’s Athletic Club and his small group workout classes are the perfect place for anyone ranging from beginner to advanced levels. In his small workout classes you will develop endurance, strength and general fitness. I have been going on and off to the gym for a few years but I have experienced such a noticeable difference from training at Jimmy’s over just the last six months. I cannot recommend the Semi-Private Personal Training sessions at Jimmy's highly enough! Coach Jimmy is a skilled instructor and he creates fun and challenging sessions that have not only improved my overall fitness but have helped reverse the immobility and pain in my elbow caused by an old accident. Jimmy’s athletic club opened up at the absolute best time for me! After having my first kid, I took a couple years off working out so this has been a great gym to get back into the rhythm. I do the 6am classes during the week, very challenging yet fun and Jimmy is an absolutely wonderful coach. Highly recommend for all levels of fitness- wonderful studio great amenities and a nice community feel to it. Just started beginners boxing as well. Love it!

My girls spent most of July at Jimmy’s Summer Camp and LOVED every second of it. Jimmy arranged for everything from arts & crafts time, field trips to the Museum, Christie Pits Pool, Ripley’s, and more! The Capoeira at Jimmy’s club was the absolute highlight of every week. My girls CANT wait to go back next summer!!! Highly recommend! The gym itself is immaculate. Easy to get to and lots of parking close by to facilitate drop off and pick up.

I love how kind and welcoming all the instructors are especially Jimmy! I have only ever done private classes so coming into a group class was a little anxiety inducing, but Jimmy modelled a beautiful, safe and judgement-free environment which has made me look forward to every class! Best gym in the neighborhood! Jimmy’s semi-private classes are great because they are catered to each individual’s fitness goals and fitness levels. I didn’t want to attend a gym based heavily on equipment, and I thought Jimmy’s studio provided the perfect, all round fitness routines that I was looking for. I'm a regular at the weekly Muay Thai and Boxing sessions. The instructors are accommodating when teaching beginners and also strict enough to make sure you get your money and time's worth of bodily workouts. Perfect place if you wanna start boxing or get some personal training! Joined the 10 classes package for 6 months. Time is flexible so you can come whenever you are free. The coach is really skilled and helpful ( which is the reason why I chose here) .you can have one free class but I promise you will love it.
