Disgusting lack of product quality and customer service. Purchased a $219 pair of shoes for work and within hardly two and a half days of wear in an office-like environment the leather on both shoes began to peel at the toe. I came in store to speak to the team and show them to fault and was met with a condescending attitude of “you must have kicked something”. I explained how little wear they have had, what environment they’re worn in and assured them that I have not kicked anything and it is a fault in the product. I then asked for the customer care phone number who didn’t answer multiple times. I ended up emailing customer care with photos included, explaining the issue regarding the defective product and included photos where you can physically see the leather peeling where the leather meets the sole from bad craftsmanship yet it was deemed as a “wear and tear”. Apparently these shoes are only designed to be worn once of twice… I reached out again and explained they have been reviewed by a shoe repairer and was professionally advised that the defect on the shoes has been caused by a fault in the fabric or production. They did not reply to me for a week and a half so I had to follow up with another email and was told yet again that I ‘knocked the toe’, completely disregarding the professional review and clear photos of obvious peeling in alternative areas. I manage a successful business and would never treat customers the way I have been treated or allow them to be stuck with a defective product with absolutely no compensation offered. I am taking this further but wanted to give potential shoppers the advice to go to Florsheim instead as their products will last you far more than 2 days and you actually get products that is worth the cost.

I am pretty disappointed that I went to return a pair of shoes that did't fit in exchange for a Gift Voucher. Unfortunately, due to my shoe size there is not much variety available to me in store. The first time I went to the store, the told me they were out of gift vouchers and to return a week later. The second time they told me that they couldn't give me a gift voucher because the shoes were on sale. Online, it clearly says that gift vouchers are available for ALL MERCHANDISE. The recommendation was for me to drive to Moorabbin to their outlet store - I simply don't have time for this nonsense. I shall not be buying from Jo Mercer again. Refunds/gift vouchers need to be more accessible.

I purchased my first pair of Jo Mercer shoes in 2015 - I love my shoes so much they have almost become my staple. The comfort, quality and on trend designs are second to non. The shoe support is perfectly designed thus giving support and the best fit possible. Jo Mercer, I guess you have a fan for life. Owned a pair of flats for a year and worn them a handful of times as they were $130 and the sole had come off already. My $6 Kmart shoes lasted longer than these. Definitely not paying for quality at Jo Mercer and not purchasing from them again. I gave two stars because the shoes were pretty lol
