(November 2023) Second time using the company, second time just as good. Another friendly, knowledgeable service provider with professional explanation of the issue and how to prevent it in future. My only regret is that when he gave me his name I promptly forgot it; I would have him back in a heartbeat for additional work if required. (August 2023) I have had a few plumbers do work for us - some good, some a bit less so - and I have to say how impressed I was with John The Plumber’s representative - Colin, I believe. He was well within the window quoted for arrival, called me 30 minutes out to alert me of his arrival, quickly assessed the issue and gave me a price, and had the problem resolved incredibly quickly and efficiently. Since the problem was a leak at the base - probably a wax seal - he alerted me ahead of time of potential issues he might encounter such as a cracked flange, then vacuumed the water rather than the sponge method that I have seen in the past that leaves something to be desired about cleanup afterwards. Discovering it was a degrading rubber seal, he replaced it with a proper wax one - warrantied for 2 years which I love! - then made a minor adjustment to a pipe cover on the floor he found that was loose and pointed out that the water fill device was pumping slowly and offered to repair that while he was here at a lower cost than if he had to come back. I did turn him down since that is something I am capable of repairing myself, but it highlighted his attention to overall detail and customer service mindset. While I know not every plumber who works for a company may have the same level of professional competence and service attitude, I have bookmarked JTP for any future concerns we may have, and will follow up with additional insights on the company when I use their services.

The overall experience was as advertised: Fast, Friendly and local! The customer service was friendly and polite, and sought to find the soonest availability to deliver the services requested. Due to a couple changes to the schedule, I got concerned at mid-point of the service window when I hadn’t seen nor heard from anyone yet - especially as I had a later medical appointment I could not miss. The customer service representative took my concern and proceeded to contact the plumber, who reached out shortly after to let me know they were on their way. Again, I was concerned that in arriving in latter part of the service window, there may not be enough time to complete the repair - but I was wrong! The burst pipe was such a routine procedure for Billy, that the service could be completed in 30-40minutes, including detailed explanation of the cause, proposed fix, cost estimate, repair, payment, and professional advice on how to avoid future issues! The rates felt high, but I don’t have much to compare against to assess how fair and competitive they were, to be honest. Ultimately, I appreciated the expediency with which this issue could be resolved, and the overall quality of the customer care.

Please be aware that this company is not located in Burlington, Oakville area. They are located in Ottawa and probably use some local plumbers , without any supervision. Called them to replace a faucet cartridge. Couldn't get a quote over the phone ( this is a straight forward item and should've raised a red flag). Booked the appointment , after 1 minute was told that I am right and need to replace the cartridge and was given a verbal quote 295+tax+ part. I was surprised to hear such a charge for a 10 min job and I agreed to pay the the travel fee, as I don't want to encourage rip offs. When I got the travel invoice it was mentioned the job offered at 249. Needless to say ....bunch of crooks. Got 2 other quotes , over the phone , both for 150+ tax. Hire a local company or independent plumber, not these which are coming ahead on Google because they're paying to come ahead at searches.

My tenant texted me that the toilet was completely blocked. They had tried plunging but nothing worked. Unfortunately the handyman I use near Burlington is away. Unfortunate timing. I called John The Plumber. They organized an appointment with my tenant. My tenant was happy with the service. She said that they texted when they were on the way and arrived as scheduled. They fixed the toilet blockage very quickly. They offered her a monthly thing that apparently helps landlords. I haven't bothered with it, but I appreciate the thought. Overall, very satisfied with the prompt service. I live out of town and they made the experience very easy for me and my tenant. They sent me pictures to show that it everything was fixed. I thought that was cool. I will use their services again in the future when I find myself in a similar situation.

Jonathan is a skilled, courteous and efficient professional. He arrived on time, listened courteously to my description of issues and requirements, conducted his assessment, provided me with options, recommendations, and cost estimates and , upon my agreement, got to work. He completed the repairs and upgrades, which would have taken an amateur like me days, in under 3 hours (it pays to engage a professional !!!). His work was flawless and his post-repair cleanup immaculate, you wouldn’t have known he’d been there. I would heartily recommend Jonathan and John the Plumber for any residential plumbing repairs or installations (in fact , I think I will insist on Jonathan if and when I require additional home plumbing repairs or installations …. Cheers, mate !!!)

Filled out online request but did not get a response. Called them next day at 10 am they said they had space for a clogged sewer drain pipe between 12-3pm. Called them again at 5:15pm and was told guy was on the way. Plumber called at 6pm saying he might not be able to come. As I told him it was only a small job he said he would call me back if he could not come. No call back. Writing this next day at 12 noon, still no call back. Called another company they are here already. Really do not waste your time with these of unreliable people. To lie and say the guy is on the way? The site makes it look like a large business but it is just a call center.

I would highly recommend this company! I found them to be very professional in all of my dealings with them this included an online appointment request form, the phone call to confirm an appointment as well as excellent use of technology to provide an email receipt and a copy of the video of the plumbing investigation they did. The Plumber on site was courteous, did a great job and took the time explain the suggested course of action and quote. He also did an excellent clean up job after the work was completed. I am highly satisfied and would definitely recommend and use this company again.

John the Plumber responded very quickly to my online inquiry and work order request. The plumber who did the work (Greg Weeks) was extremely knowledgeable, personable and efficient. He carefully explained all the issues, and gave us options on moving forward. He completed the work quickly and even gave us advice on how to avoid future problems, and explained other services the company offered, without trying to "up-sell" us. He was even great with our two big, inquisitive dogs! We are very pleased with the service from this company and will use them again in the future. Highly recommend.

Job seems to be done well so satisfied with work. Didn't have all proper supplies so he had to go to home depot twice. Was a leaky t junction and suggested I replace hot water valve. All in all work was good but price is rediculouse. Maybe a total of 45 mins of work and it was $495. Thats crazy. Break down of bill is just a number nothing about parts used or hours spent or anything broken down. Work seemed fine, Lance was extremely professional but can't help but feel I got ripped off on the money side, didn't seem honest. I would avoid next time to a plumber with far more transparency.

Great experience from the first phone call until the repair was completed. The person who answered the phone was very friendly and accommodating and was able book me for the next day. Mike, the technician, arrived on time, inspected the outdoor faucet, explained how it works, what the issue was, and what needs to be done to fix it. He replaced the faucet quickly and tested it to ensure there isn't any leaks. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a plumbing company and definitely contact them again for our future plumbing needs.

My sump pump had stopped working and no other plumber in the area would come out. Even the plumber we had been using for 30 years. I called John the Plumber and the young lady that answered the phone was quick to ease my mind. It was after 4 in the afternoon and she said they would have someone out that evening. Robert came just after 5 just like he said when he called. Robert was fast efficient and very courteous. The work is guaranteed and was done in no time. I couldn't be happier with the work that Robert did. I would recommend this company and Robert without hesitation

We very much appreciated the work that John the Plumber’s team did at our place. We originally thought it was a small job, but it turned out there were some pretty big things that had to be fixed. They took the time to walk us through what needed to be done and why and gave us the choice before moving ahead. They provided a very fair quote in advance of the work and respected the quote even though it took a bit more time than anticipated. I would highly recommend them to anyone to anyone looking for a trustworthy plumber.

Garrett and Connor were fantastic - they went above and beyond the scope of work that any previous service provider has previously provided and as such actually resolved what has been a continuing ongoing issue for a considerable time. They were both very comfortable in sharing information about what they were doing and why they were doing it - a credit to the industry, all service providers should treat their customers with the same level of respect and transparency we were afforded - Thank You.

Booking was for 8am to 11am. Rob called at 8.47am to say he was finishing up a job and would be with me in 20 minutes or so, which he was. Was professional, took a look at my problem, explained what was needed and gave me a quote. I asked him to do the work and he went about it in a very competent manner. Everything was clean and in order when he left. Very satisfied with the company and with Rob. No experience with what plumbers cost so can't really comment on that.

I’ve used John The Plumber twice in the last few months. In both cases I was able to book an appointment (by speaking with a person) right away. I called just before noon, and was able to be seen the same day. Geoff was right on time, kept me informed of what new to be done and even provided me with tips to prevent future problems. This company is amazing. I called last night at 7:45pm requesting a plumber come out and replace both the front and back hose nozzles coming out of the back of the house and garage. They sent out a plumber named Collin who did an absolutely terrific job! Fast, fair and effective. Very happy.

Plumber came in an hour late, took one look at our leaky shower head and deemed it unfixable. Said that the entire shower would have to be replaced. Then left after being there for maybe 5 minutes. We called another plumber to get a second opinion and he was able to fix it within 20 minutes.

We called to have a waterline installed for our fridge. They were able to accommodate for my schedule which most places aren't able to do. Robert arrived within the time frame given and was very polite and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend then to anyone who needs a plumber.

Eric arrived on a return visit for a new issue compared to the last time. This time the kitchen sink was dripping water. LOL, after 30 plus years the trap gave up. Within a very short time all was repaired, and the site cleaned up. I call again when I have an issue. Awesome service.

Dawson, the plumber, was very professional! He explained the process, he was pleasant, he kept my home clean, and even fixed the taps I hadn't pre-booked. He had all the equipment needed to do the work. He was on time. I highly recommend Dawson for your plumbing needs.

Geoff showed up right around 9 AM at the beginning of our estimated time window. He was very friendly, professional and personable. The job was done very quickly (repairing toilet and unclogging bathroom sink) and it works fine now. We were very happy with the service.
