I'm disappointed that i have to give this place 1 star giving that my mother always visits this place. Its beautiful and very clean, and the staff is extremely friendly and hospitable. However, i spent $80 on a facial that HURT like never before. I was wondering why it hurt so bad, usually i can bare with the pain. This time, it was as if she was trying to dig a hole in my face. I literally felt her nails while squeezing whatever she was trying to squeeze out of my face. I'm 22 years old, my skin does not break out unless i get an allergic reaction, i have baby smooth skin but it was a bit dehydrated, so i went in for a hydrating mask. Her name is Yomari. She used a blade to open up my pores and four days later, i still have tiny scars on my face and scabs from the cuts. (I walked out of there with my face swollen with blood marks all over) I called Yomari and she told me i might have an infection on my skin, and i should visit a dermatologist. Awesome response to a dissatisfied client don't you think? I also spent, $50 plus tips on a massage that just didn't work. She massaged me facing up while i had my mask on, legs, and feet for about 20 minutes or until the mask was dry. She then turned me around for another 15 minutes and mildly massaged my back. She didn't massage the areas i had told her was bothering me. Next thing you know, massage was over after 35 minutes. Maybe I picked the wrong day to visit this place, but i will not be returning. For the price, I rather pay a few extra bucks and go to BLISS spa, a high end spa that will leave you feeling brand NEW and satisfied. My skin feels worst than it did when i went in, and i'm still working on healing my scars. A refund would of been nice.

I’m surprised this place has so many good reviews. I had an acne treatment facial (involving extractions), and it was excruciatingly painful. Every single reputable website on any search engine will tell you that extraction facials are not supposed to be EXTREMELY painful. The technician should know how to remove the acne and dirt from your pores in a way that will be somewhat comfortable for your skin type. My technician pulled so hard on my skin that I thought she would break my nose or rip my skin off. I was screaming in pain, and she still didn’t think to stop and steam my face more, or do something to open up my pores…instead she laughed and said I’m “sensitive.” Lastly, before my service they made me sign a paper stating that they informed me of all the necessary after-care instructions for my skin, but they DID NOT. My technician did not say one thing to me. I had no idea what to do after this facial, and I had to google search it for myself. My face is full of more scars now than before I got their awful facial.

I came in for a “special” facial. I usually go to my routine place for my facials, but I wanted to support local small businesses, so I came here. I’m not one to bruise or scar easily, however, it’s been THREE weeks and my face is still scarred from the most painful extractions I’ve ever had up to this day… extractions should never hurt as much as they did and then still leave your pores in a similar condition as you came in…my esthetician seemed like she didn’t want to be there and half as*ed the facial, she was constantly on her phone for a majority of the facial. The jelly mask was cool, and the establishment itself was nice. Maybe will try again with another esthetician for a better experience.

I’ve been to this spa multiple times. Absolutely love it!! Absolutely recommend it! However, the last time I was there, I got a facial and a massage by Ena. I did not like the massage nor the facial bc she was on her cel phone & she just kept coming in and out of the room, leaving me waiting for long. During check out, my sister-in-law was the one paying and she said to the receptionist that unfortunately she was not going to leave a tip for Ena because I was dissatisfied with the service... 15 minutes later I got a call from the owner apologizing and offering me a free massage session whenever I want to. It was totally unexpected, but because the owner showed sympathy I will definitely go back.

I have to share my experiences again with this spa. I have been their client since 2018, so 5 years almost. I have different people do my facials and its just amazing. You wont get this price anywhere else. Plus, they did my acne (white milias) extractions. This is a little painful treatment because milias are harden fat and the technician has to get it out. Yes my face gets little red but after a the week my facial skin is like a newborn, lol. I also do microdermabrasion. Cant recommend them enough. For men in their 30s, I find this place to be a hidden gem of uptown! I'm booking my next appointment for this week.

I have a mix skin tone( dry and somewhat normal) full of old blemish marks, skin tags, large pores,etc. Nelisa, my asthetician has pampered my face with hydrating masks and excellent products. Her knowledge has been a great contributor to how my skin is changing for the best, pores are closing and is looking and feeling soft. Little by little I'm achieving an even skin tone as she watches my skin glow during each facial. If you want the best, if you want your skin to improve, if you are tired of going to estheticians who don't make a difference, you need to go to Josephine's Spa and schedule a facial with Nelisa.

I got my full legs, bikini, and underarms waxed. The lady was nice and was fast. Maybe a little too fast. However, the next day after letting my skin rest and taking a shower I realized that there were still patches of hair left behind. I wouldn’t mind if it was a little, but it is very noticeable especially in my legs. The price was good, but if I have to go somewhere else & pay more just to have all the hairs removed then so be it.

Yomaira was AMAZING! She made me feel very comfortable, her hands relaxed tense muscles on my body that I didn't even know were tensed. She attending to my body and controlled each pressure point accurately to allow tense muscles to ease and relaxed muscles to enjoy. My experience left me floating on my way home and I will be a returning and loyal customer. This mother of 2 has now found a sanctuary. Thank you!

I have had many facials and by far this was THE BEST ONE I'VE EVER HAD!! The lady that helped me, Nelissa was awesome! You could tell she takes pride in her job. She suggested a great facial and even spoke to me about ways I can continue to treat my skin day to day. Its refreshing to find a place where customer service is taken to the next level! Found my new favorite spot!!! Great prices as well!

Massage and facial were fantastic. Good for the price. HOWEVER, a few things to note. After my facial I was almost naked and the worker walked me past the front door to the massage room. I had a flimsy sheet...no robe! No slippers. ON FRONT OF THE FRONT DOOR. Second, despite my appointment the one lady doing mani-pedis was busy and wait was for another 30 minutes at least.

EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!!! I have been coming to this spa for over 10 yrs and only see IRIS for my facials and other beauty treatments. She is amazing! very professional, attentive and very knowledgeable. I’ve always feel comfortable and like that she’s always up to date with what’s new.

I love this Spa if and when I need to get anything done. This is my number one spa. My appreciation to this business is well over due. I love going here for anything from a simple wax to a busy massage I feel brand new whenever I leave Josephine s Spa :)

Evelyn is the masseuse I have been used for the past 2 month. Bought packages for the fat reduction and cavitation massages and she is excellent. She is very curious and knowledgeable about her job. Massages are working and I recommend then very highly.

Got a Brazilian wax and it was extremely painful and the wax irritated my skin. Came home and realized the esthetician had broken skin. Yes I was bleeding. I do not recommend this location for waxing however the massages and body scrubs are great.

Wow ... This person, Nelisa Mora, is super excellent with her hands. I've never had a facial as relaxing and good as the one she gave me. She does know what she does. Very professional. Any doubt she knows how to answer it. I recommend it 100%

Josefa finessed my Brazilian wax I've been coming here for years and this is the first time I've had her. Will definitely recommend her to all my friends! (Keep in mind I got to school in buffalo, when I'm home I make sure to stop by)

Not the best massage I've gotten, but was pretty good considering the price. Would've gave it 5 stars, but I was left with all of the massage oil on my body. Typically this is wiped off with a warm wet rag but that did not happen.

I needed an emergency massage and it was very clear that the person massaging me was not a licensed and educated massage therapist. I should have walked off the table. I'm in physical pain! Will never go there again.

Pedicure is excellent. Please ask for Rosy, she is amazing and fast. I have ingrown nails and she cleans my toes super well without cutting me.
