I just don't get it. The place is nice, clean, tidy and calm, particularly during the week. The decor is minimal. I like the "town tavern" feel about it, with wooden tables and chairs... And that's about it. There is nothing really special about it apart from the staff, who are great and friendly. I can't get over the fact that they serve beer in schooners (2/3 pint or about 375ml) for £4, which sets the price of some very common beers to about £7 per pint. Regardless of the "tavern feel" they don't serve food. It's a cute place if you want a drink in what could be your living room. I really hope that Joyce won't contribute to a rise in the average price of drinks in the area.

Every table was already reserved but the barwoman let us take a table of our choice till the arrival of the people who reserved it. There were a couple of dogs there, which was very nice. I love dogs. Oh the bar, yes: there's a good list of Italian and French wines available, other than a dozen cocktails (I had a good whiskey ginger ale), coffees and teas. I felt relaxed after a full evening in the city center's pubs, pressed between standing people drinking beer in a very noisy environment. Here at Joyce everything was smooth and calm and intimate.

It's a great little bar with outdoor space and good booking system. It's got a good selection of unusual beers and some lovely wines too. They do small snacks which are very nicely presented. The only thing that let's it down is that it is on the side of the street that is in shade, so at present when we have to eat/drink outside and the weather is unpredictable, it can get a bit cold. Nothing that some layers and good gloves wouldn't fix though...or maybe some outdoor heaters.

At first seemed very nice although a bit dull inside. We had gone there as we ordered fish and chips next door, it started raining so was looking for somewhere to eat them and we saw they didn't do food but had takeaway menus on their tables, a sign they allow you to eat takeaway but after ordering our very expensive drinks, when we got our takeaway they made us sit outside in torrential rain. If you don't allow takeaway food then don't advertise takeaways in your store

Joyce is a great bar and has been a fantastic addition to Brockley since it appeared. There's a brilliant selection of local craft brews, wines and soft drinks, a few tasty snacks if you want a light bite or nibble, and they have a great relationship with a local pizza place (Yard Sale) who deliver to the bar if you want something more substantial. Don't miss out!

Cozy atmosphere and a great selection of beers served to perfection. Their ordering system during COVID via the QR code is seamless and the service is so friendly and efficient! Cleaning takes place regularly and there's plenty of sanitiser available. Feels very safe and comfortable, without seeming too different from 'normality'. Up there as one of my favourite places to drink in London and very glad to see them open again!

I am sitting in another local gem of a place, known as Joyce. It is a simple, hip and chill out place to be and to be seen. It has a positive vibe, that effects you too. It has good local draught beers and ciders and serving of beer snacks. A good place to catch up, share the good feeling and be happy . First time visiting feeling well chilled and relaxed. Has anyone else been here? Another good place to try.

Great selection of drinks in this new Brockley bar. At time of writing it's generally tough to get a table in the evening as the novelty of the new (and good quality) is keeping it very busy. It has an Easy London vibe, but marginally less pretentious, and the drinks really are good, from diverse ales and bitters through to a strong wine list

  • Tom Holder

Dog friendly bar (inside and out) in Bromley that serves a selection of beer and wines. Eight decent beers and a couple of ciders pm tap. Staff happy to let you try things. Nice vibe. Simple decor. Pizza available to order from nearby pizza joint. Worth visiting.

Fantastic new bar opened in Brockley - great choice of beers and wine. The staff are super knowledgeable about the drinks (especially the chap with the strong beard) and the ambience is perfect for a few drinks with friends. Also, free popcorn was great. Fully recommend

Joyce’s bar is really nice. I think it’s quite new to the area but it’s adding value with their nice team, the service is quick and a plus from me is that it’s dog friendly! Highly recommend

Really cool little place, serves beer in 2/3 measures, which allows you to try a range of beers. Plenty of interesting things on tap, from lost and grounded Keller oils to apricot saisons from kernel. Recommended if you like your beer

  • Madison Lenhart

been meaning to check this place out for a while, but terrible service (staff slow to acknowledge/serve while chatting) but could have been an off day nice drink selection and can order Yard Sale pizza while drinking here

  • Andrew Shipp

The owner was so warm and friendly it’s the service was fantastic especially for London. He even threw in a slice of birthday cake on the house if I’m ever in the neighbourhood I’ll make sure I pop in …

  • Whitey Magazine

Really nice atmosphere, lighting and good cocktails. Only quibble is that I would like if they served a more local beer, i.e. Brockley Beer as I think it's important to support one's neighbouring businesses

  • Simon Buckley

Great service, friendly staff. Outside and inside areas. Easy online booking. Table service with QR codes on each table. Location is on a busy, noisy main road otherwise I might give it 5 stars.

  • Bhaven Patel

Great product. Experience less so. (Colourist at least for vermouth, only red in stock - Partida Creuz Muz Vermouth). Highly fashionable clientele. Basking in the atrocious local air pollution.

  • Irene Marchioro

New venue in Brockley! Super cool! The staff is friendly and very nice. The beers are good and serve in 2/3 of pint glasses, to preserve the taste. They also have the honey roasted pretzels!

  • Jer O'Connor

Outstanding addition to the area...great beers and wines, knowledgeable friendly staff. No surprises really as Salthouse bottles is a good go to to try out some craft beers and natural wines
