I had a complicated issue with a duplicate payment I made that caused a terrible technical glitch and cancellation notices to be sent when one of the payments was taken back by my bank. I had to drive in rush hour after work 4 times to SLC to discuss the issue in person with MeKell since this agency forwards calls to their on-site receptionists who can't help and third party receptionists, both who routinely say the agency would "call back" (they never did). One of the times I went, the office had a sign on the door that it was closed for two days (this was during business hours - they had no one working while McKell had a surgery). Although McKell tried her best to help, the issue really needed Juan's assistance after 15+ calls to corporate by myself and McKell to many different departments (Underwriting, SFFP, tech, customer support etc.) couldn't fully resolve the glitch. I should never have even had to learn even who these departments are as a client - my agent should have been there to resolve it having these corporate phone numbers such as underwriting that I didn't have access to. I emailed Juan detailed information describing the issue, yet never received a reply. I was near contacting the Attorney General to get some type of response or support. I was told Juan would call me many times, but he didn't until 10/2/23, the day I switched agents (I have been trying to make contact with Juan since August and this was the first and only time I've ever been able to speak with him in person). This agency desperately needs more staff and to improve their extremely poor rate of responsiveness to better meet customers' needs. Actually returning phone calls would be a great start. If you have any type of issue, I recommend to go in person or text as that is the only way to get any real contact other than a receptionist who can't help. It is easy to switch to another agent online on your StateFarm account - just click My Agent - change agent on the homepage.

If you like your State Farm agent to never return your calls, not be informed about your claims and have their staff say he is unavailable to your face while you can see him in the office, then Juan is your agent. After an accident and issues with the claim Juan never reached out or returned calls. He was not helpful during any part of the claims process. I’m switching agents and his staff member, Dallas, commiserated saying “we dropped the ball with your claim.” *** Response to the reply: It’s nice to see that my review garners a response, while my phone calls never did. I went to your office, when we spoke for the first time about my claim nearly 2 months after it had been filed, because I hadn’t received a response to my calls or simple answers to my questions. When we met I spent the first five minutes waiting for your to review my claim since you were unfamiliar. I left your office with your word saying you would follow up, but that never happened. It’s not that the claim didn’t end as I expected, it’s that you and your office were not especially proactive, helpful or informed on my claim and nothing happened without me informing and advocating for my claim. That’s not particularly helpful in an insurance agent.

My friends have taken auto insurance from them. They recommended that to me. I am international student with international driving license that time. They offered me 48$ per month for liability auto insurance. I have got the best offer from them and bought that. I have recommended few of my friends as well. After one month, things have changed. I have seen my monthly due has changed to 67$. They told me that, if was their fault from the beginning. They have put my information in the system wrong. I would not have that 48$ per month. Though it was their fault, I have paid extra amount. They told me to let them know, when I have my US driver license. It will take my monthly payment down. I have given them my license number after I got that. Surprisingly my monthly amount increased to 71$. I have been to their office 4-5 times over my five month of their service. They are giving me hope every time, but at the end, they are telling nothing can go my way. I need to pay, what it is showing in the system. They cannot do anything. They have not taken any liability for any of their faults. And it is I who is paying the price. Totally disgusted with their service and their sweet hopeful words.

I have been with another company for 4 years. I got a new car 2 years ago and my premium doubled. Which I was fine with. The reasons why it went up I understood. But then they kept raising my premium.. with no explanation.. every month I was paying 220 for a 2015 Kia Rio. My husband just bought his '88 Chevy and he was quoted 230 a month. Which was outrageous. So we went to State Farm and MAN!! Was I blown away! We got two cars covered, life insurance, disability income/paycheck protector, and renters insurance for $327 a month! And my old insurance never offered life or renters insurance. This was the best decision weve made this month. Financially and personally. My husband has a high risk job, so knowing that me and him will be covered.. will help me sleep at night. And Juan has been super helpful! Making sure that we got the best deal that was applicable and beneficial to us! So if you're gonna go anywhere for a quote, I recommend State Farm!! Ask for Juan!

Spencer is one of the most trustworthy and honest people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I honestly just walked into their office one day and he has taken care of me ever since. And that includes answering all of my late night emails and taking care of insurance for me and my boyfriend on the day his baby was due. My boyfriend had other insurance that he was paying a fortune for and Spencer got him a rate for about half the price. He took the time to get to know us and even gave us a recommendation as to where to go ring shopping because he used to work there and he believes in the place. He believes in the insurance he is selling too and will put so much positive energy into telling you about it that you will be a customer for life. He is a great agent and an amazing person. This office is so warm and welcoming I would highly recommend it to any person.

This place has gone way down hill since Rick left. Juan hardly returns calls and tells you you are covered on certain things that you actually are not including telling you prices you will pay but then your bill goes up 20 dollars each month resulting in you having to call in again he has his one person that works for him do all the work. She is not trained and has openly shared this with me stating that she doesn’t really know what she is doing. She has messed my insurance policy up so many times now I have become irate. She has added things to my policy I do not even ask for and then tells me it’s in her notes calling me a liar in other words. She either has too much work going on or needs to be let go because she clearly does not know what she is doing. Do not go through this rep they are horrible.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH JUAN AMOROS!!!!! We have been with another agent at State Farm for 15 years and have had 0 problems. We switched to Juan and have had nothing but problems!!!! We actually switched everything to Farmers for way cheaper except our life insurance (which is still cheaper.) We finally decided to even switch that! We called and left messages... no returns! We finally called again and requested to speak to somebody... they were very rude on the phone but finally said to email back a paper signed. We did. Nothing... they still charged us. THEN, we got a letter in the mail stating we had to sign an actual copy, we signed. THEN, they billed us again because we signed who knows what... we got billed AGAIN!!!! DO NOT SIGN UP!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

Beware!! I was approached about switching and was seriously considering it. The pricing was advantageous, and Jacob was very helpful. I had a couple questions, and after some back and forth with delays in communication, our conversation fizzled. After a couple weeks, Jacob called me. I explained that I was no longer interested. When he asked why, I explained that in my time of need with car insurance, I put a lot of stock in working with someone reliable and available, which had not been my experience with him. After getting audibly angry, he hung up!! His true colors showed, and I am SO glad that I did not switch. Instead, I have a wonderful agent, who is always available, at AllState who I will stay with for more money to know I have her if needed.

If you want terrible service and attention to detail, then this is your guy! The incompetence of Juan and his team is some of the worst I've ever experienced. Just one example of the terrible details, after 3-4 phone calls of updating them that the construction insurance needs to be updated to dwelling. It still wasn't done after 3 months later. Thank god nothing happened that we needed full coverage on the house. I couldn't take it anymore and finally switched to a new agent. What's more pathetic is if you look at all of these positive reviews, not one actually mention Juan. What does that guy actually do? Because HE has never picked up the phone or returned any of my phone calls.

A family member referred me to Juan Amaros State Farm and I'm very happy that they did. Previously I had been using a company online and out of state. I never really spoke with anyone about my policy and on the last renewal the rate jumped quite a bit. After contacting them I found out that they had made a few mistakes at my expense. Juan Amoros agency is terrible to deal with, I have been with State Farm for a while, and this is the worst agency, particularly Mekell, she actually said “ I cant explain all the different charges, there’s so many numbers and charges, I can’t understand it.” She then advised me to call customer service (shes the agent) and they can “deal” with it. She did the whole switch n bait with my policy, then Juan promised to make it right, that was over a month ago, and still haven’t heard anything back from him. Now he’s “out of the country”. Horrible customer service. Beware since its change of ownership.

You can no longer speak to your agent and will always get forwarded to a third party help desk. They will ask you for your phone number and tell you an agent will get back to you and that will appears to never happen. Will be looking for another provider that valued your time and money.
