My family ordered a cake 2 weeks in advance for a birthday and were told that it would be ready by 3pm for pick on the 1st of May. When we arrived to collect the cake the two girls at the counter could not locate the order for the cake in the system or in the fridge, the owner/manager then stepped in and said that it was still being delivered to the store and he then offered to drop it off, he was told that we needed to leave for the party by 4:45pm at the latest and provided the address, the owner told us that was plenty of time and we were close by so it was fine. We received no further updates from him or the staff regarding the whereabouts of the cake and from 4pm onwards we had to chase them up to see where the cake was, all we kept getting were questions about what the cake looked like from the girls at the shop and when we finally got put through to the owner he just kept telling us that it was on its way. We had no way of knowing if we were actually going to the get cake at all and we kept telling the owner that we had to leave to go to the party venue. The cake did not arrive until 540pm, which made us late to the party, the guests had already arrived and we were unable to set up decorations etc. We were celebrating a milestone birthday and everything had been planned well in advance but the experience with Just Cakes - The Ponds and their service was thoroughly disappointing and created a stressful situation for us. To date, the owner/store has not reached out or responded to any messages from us.

MANAGER of the Just Cake, the ponds , THIS STAFF KIDS WILL DAMANGE YOUR BUSINESS FOR SURE ! This staff ladies are horribly irresponsible. specially the girl who write in left hand. She took order for my daughters cake two weeks back and now one week left for my dauthers birthday and they say they can't make it , and got no reasons Who so ever is the manager of this shop please take care of it , this staff kids who are managing the shop will ruins your business and service quality. The same kid took the details of the cake last week and today she opened up the daily entry book and shown me the empty page , as if there was no order! Such a rediculas irrsposible act and careless words amazed me to say what kind of people are working at this shop Horrible cake shop I suggest to all customers these staff are not reliable and never ever trust them that they would deliver you a cake

We ordered the cake 2 weeks before. We requested for pickup on Saturday 01/05/21 at 3pm. When we got to shop for pickup, firstly the girls at the shop did not have my order - they said there is no order even though we gave our receipt. After a while we were told that cake is not there yet. The owner, i think his name is Harsh, said he will have it delivered to our home no later then 4pm. We thanked him for that and gave our address and reminded him that we have to be out of the house by 4.45pm. Come 4.15pm still no cake. Calling the store we found out cake had just left their factory around 4.30pm. By time we got the cake delivered, it was 5.40pm. Very poor Customer service and no communication from owner when there was a issue. We were left without any explaination if we getting a cake or not.

Feel disappointed to leave a 2 star review, considering I walk past here daily. Coffee was good and value for money (they are considerably cheaper!) I would suggest another barista on the machine who could assist with making the shots or frothing the milk, the wait was just too long. One thing I did notice was that, yes there are regular customers who do frequent the venue however the rule should still be the same for all customers. Place your order, pay and wait for the beverage to be made, whilst waiting 4 people prior to myself had grabbed there coffee and then proceeded to pay - hence why I walked upto the machine area first but was then directed to counter whereas regular customers were able to do the opposite. Good coffee, but service can be better.

Have not been happy with this place in a while twice the Indian girl behind the counter has been more concerned about her fake nails and phone than making customer food and beverage. I order bacon and egg roll and coffee and was told we only cook on weekends so i just ordered the coffee i waited with 4 other eople while she stood at the till in her bike shorts looking at her nails fake green nails. She approached each customer after 3 minutes and told us he is in the bathroom hope you are not in a hurry. All the others went and got refund I waited he returned in about 30 seconds. This place does make nice coffee but they are really starting to get reputation be prepared to wait so not good if you just want a grab and go

We waited over ten minutes for our coffees and when I went to the counter to ask where they were the young guy stared at me blankly. He had no recollection at all that we had ordered coffee. Incredible as there were three customers in the shop! Then I had to produce my online receipt as proof because the girl making the coffees was obviously sceptical that we had ordered and paid for them, such was the extent of the young guy's bemusement. When the coffees did arrive they were plonked down on our table in takeaway cups with no indication of which coffee was which. Woeful, almost hilariously bad service.

VERY UNFRIENDLY WORKER!! I just bought a coffee and the girl who made the coffee is very rude and full of attitude. This is the second time I’ve experienced nasty attitude from her. She looks very angry and unhappy and doesn’t even acknowledge anything when placing an order. She just left the coffee on the counter and didn’t even let me know that it’s mine. I just assumed it was. I walk in with a smile but no nice greetings from them. It’s just unfortunate that’s the only place I can get to for my coffee because of the lockdown . The girls need to chill and be happy

Best Michel's Patisserie i have been to... staff are so friendly and best of all they seem to love kids that helps alot as they take the time out and chat to the kids so my son always wants to go there as he feel comfortable and happy unlike other cafés in the ponds where they are very cold towards kids. Coffee is very nice and from my sons mouth the hot chocolate is the best. Cakes always look fresh and the shop is always clean... i really hope they get recognised for this and keep up the standard they have. I recommend anyone to go here

I highly recommend this business to anyone looking for a cake being made. This team made my son’s first birthday cake with two days notice. It was done to an extremely high standard and not only did it look amazing, it tasted great too! All of our guests have been raving about the cake since the event. Thank you to this business for taking extra care and being incredibly easy for me to organise while we were busy moving house and throwing a first birthday. I will be supporting your business again in the future!

We have our everyday coffee, it’s been consistently awesome every time. Today had the toast with eggs mushroom spinach and a sauce that was prepared on the day, it was yummy and delicious and completely satisfied. It was the worth the money for the breakfast. The staffs are very friendly and greet people with a smile always. The owner is a very friendly guy and has the customer experience as the first thing. Always takes feedback and happy to help. The kitchen is open again and it’s a must try

Last week we ordered cake from here for my son's birthday and it was horrible. Such a big franchise but I didnt expect such unprofessionalism with kids food. The cake had so much RED colour that everyone hands, tongue got red. No one had cake. Moreover even after informing the shop over email no one bothers to acknowledge the issue. Never buy cake here and spoil your party. That single star is only for the cake ordering experience which was so comfirting but eventually its all "Just Fakes"

Service is average at best the man taking orders didn't seem to understand half of what I was saying and had to repeat myself twice for the entire order. Saw him pick up a sausage roll and dump it in a bag with his bare hands which he just handled cash with. Glass cabinets with food in them look dirty. Menu's stuck on the counter are worn and look old. Table's aren't wiped properly. No wonder the leaf cafe across the road has line going out the door while this one is empty all the time.

Successfully screwed up my son’s 10 Bday. We had ordered an eggless cake couple of days before the Bday and Order was confirmed on an email -On the Bday - we were told that the cake was not available - the staff had no clue when we popped the order confirmation - the guy who had taken the order did a no show - when asked for the re-fund the staff tried to force a different cake than what we ordered - finally refunded the money after hell of a drama. Well done guys

The food and service at Just Cakes is amazing. I used to go to another cafe literally metres away but have now totally converted to Just Cakes. A new owner took over and renamed the business a few months ago and what was a pretty ordinary place (under the old name) is now awesome. The coffee is amazing and the vibe is fresh and funky. It’s definitely an awesome place and is now my new local. Oh, and there isn’t just cakes. The brekky and grilled sambo’s are next level!

I love this place, the staff are always so friendly and make the effort to remember customers' names and orders. It makes such a difference to someone's day when people you come across are friendly so that's a big reason why I keep returning to this cafe! The coffee is consistently great and there are some beautiful cakes there too I hope this business does well because we need more places like this in the community ☕

Their cakes have acquired quite a notoriety in and amongst our friends and they are absolutely delicious. Very friendly staff with good service all around. I had chance to dine as well at this place and their rolls are really well made.

Blonde girl today (19/10/23) made me a perfect iced mocha and was super cheerful too. Had their pancakes and B&E sandwhiches a few times and never a bad one of either yet. It's always a dice roll at any place on who's making the coffee on the day but I can tell the slightess bit of burnt coffee even through an icedd mocha and this chick did a great job :) go here or Leaf Cafe - NEVER GO TO OLIVER BROWN FOR A DECENT COFFEE.

PLEASE AVOID TO VISIT. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Extremely unprofessional service, I have placed an order for cake for birthday celebration. I visited shop and paid in full in advance. On delivery day they gave excuse there was miscommunication internally and cake is not ready...wouldn't recommend it to any of my family or friend. I wish I could give negative or 0 star to them as they are worst.

Very disappointing! I ordered my daughter a rainbow mud birthday cake for pickup 10am, (party started at 11) the cake was not at the shop and i was promised it will be delivered 11.30. The cake finally arrived at 12.20 and was very bland! Yes it was rainbow but it tasted like a very bland sponge cake! I am only giving 2 stars as the cake looked very nice. Will not order from here again

We ordered two cakes for my kids birthday from Just cakes and requested one to be made eggless. We were amazed to see both cakes made with high standards and the best taste. I have been ordering cakes from Just Cakes over 4 years. Never disappointed. My experience was wonderful. Ordered a cake for myfriend's birthday at Ponds. The cake looks amazing and so delicious that it vanished in seconds. Thanks to Suresh for helping us decide on size of the cake and suggesting various options to choose. Will sure visit this place for bakery stuff.

My wife placed an order for a cake and it was DELICIOUS! Not overly sweet like other cakes from other stores I have had in the past. It was perfect. I come here for my coffees on Friday mornings as well and the girls are absolutely lovely, they are able to attend each and every customer with a smile on their faces regardless of how busy it gets during the peak time.

The new owners have injected a fresh new vibe in The Ponds, I get my daily coffee here and it is superb, and always delivered with a smile! I've had my fair share of the cakes and they are delicious. The new addition of the breakfast menu is a winner for all the family. The food is yummy and beautifully prepared. Five star review well deserved :)

Worst customer experience ever.Went on a Sunday morning and just ordered a toast and coffee. Coffee was delivered on time but had to wait for more than 25 mins for the toast. The customers who ordered food for eat-in after me were served while I was asked to wait even longer. Worst start of the day. I would never go to this place again ever.

Spent an hour and a half attending an online office meeting. The staff was courteous on my request to lower the music. They served amazing coffee and a scrumptious slice of chocolate cake. Customer service was second to none.

Ordered 2 birthday cakes for my son's birthday this week. Both of them were customised as per our request. We just gave some deaign photos from the internet and they have made them exactly how we wanted. And of course the cakes were very delicious. Definitely recommend them!!

I bought coffee there this morning.I shld have just gone to the cafe section at woolies.Coffee was literally boiling hot and also very watery. I had to throw it away.It was a young guy and not the regular owners who made it. Cmon mate how hard is it to make a decent coffee.
