6 out of 5 stars for this place. They have been my go-to for Mother's Day flowers for the past couple of years, and will be for many more. The staff was very friendly, helpful and warm. They've helped me with the arrangement each time, as I am lost when it comes to things like flowers. My mother has made comments each year to me about how beautiful these flowers are, and how much effort was put into the arrangement. in past years, my other brothers got her flowers too, but she has low key told me mine were the best. As much as i would like to take credit for that, I obviously had the best help I could get. this year, my siblings just asked that I order on behalf of all of us because how well the arrangements are put together. If you know what you want, and require a friendly reliable business to get it done - these are the people for you. If you are like me, and have no clue when it comes to flowers - while I got good news for you friend, these people are even more so your one stop shop. Simply give them a call, place an order, and flowers arrive. Show someone you care about how much they mean to you, and call these people to help you do it. They have never let me down!

Just received my mother's day flowers- I am shocked at the poor quality for $90 ($85 + $5 tax- picked up, not delivered). We received 6 flowers that lasted less than 1 week, which was certainly not worth the price. For reference, I received flowers from 2 other florists in Kensington (Oasis and Kensington Wildflower) for Mother's day and they are much nicer (larger, nicer arrangements with comparable flower types) for the same or less cost (see photos). Also, after selecting a product and checking out with payment online there was a notification that we'd receive whatever they had available, not the product we selected- this should have been something that was clarified before we checked out. I do not recommend this company and will be supporting other local businesses in the future. ALSO NOTE- the below is just for publicity; they did not reply to 2 voicemails and an email inquiry. It also doesn't make sense to blame Covid for blatantly ripping someone off (especially when other florists in the area did a great job, as explained above)... DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!

I would give them 8 stars out of 5 if I could. I purchased the standard Bird of Paradise arrangement, and I LOVED it, which was gifted to a dear woman for her celebration of life. It was EVERYTHING I hoped it would be and more. A little bit pricey; however, the flowers smelled heavenly, the greenery graceful, and the Birds of Paradise vibrant. It stood tall and had an incredibly beautiful. They delivered it to the chapel service on time and reasonably priced. I ordered it online but had also called before asking questions. They were helpful on the phone and followed the directions provided. I'm VERY happy with their website and e-commerce practices. The website is simple to navigate, transparent in its offerings and pricing, and easy to order and checkout. I received emails confirming my order and order specifications and the successful delivery. There were many beautiful options, and any of the arrangements would have been just as gorgeous. I came here when I needed two last minute floral arrangements for a funeral for a close friend's grandmother a couple years ago. She loved blue flowers. I had requested blue and they let me know that unfortunately they didn't currently have anything in stock which was absolutely fine on such short notice. When we arrived to pick up the flowers the next day they had somehow managed to track down blue flowers and also tied a lovely blue ribbon on the vases. My friend and her family were moved to tears. It was exceptional service and such a caring gesture in a dark time, so it went a very long way. Ever since then I have made sure to always come here any time I need any kind of floral arrangement. I am never disappointed. Again today on short notice they prepared another stunning bouquet for a funeral I was attending. They are kind and thoughtful, and I'll never shop anywhere else. Thank you!!!

I just want to express how disappointed I was with the $134 order you sent to my boyfriend. I received the picture, as you can see below, and it was incredibly embarrassing and disappointing. The flowers you chose and the color you selected were far from satisfactory. They resembled a $20 bouquet from Costco, and even that would have been much nicer. After reaching out to the store, I was met with a simple apology and nothing more. This lack of concern only added to my disappointment. Unfortunately, I feel compelled to write this review online as I wouldn't want anyone else to experience such a letdown. The quality and service I received were far below what I expected for the price I paid. I hope that my feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement, as every customer deserves a more thoughtful and satisfactory experience.

Dropped in to get flowers for Valentines. Probably the worse costumer service I have ever encountered at a florist. There are 6 employees dealing with online reservations I had to struggle to get noticed. There were only pre-maid bouquets starting at $105 and the manager didn’t agree to make a custom order or even sell a few single flowers! Other customers who dropped in were also struggling with their orders which were not fulfilled. I left empty handed. This is the second time they have disappointed (last year they didn’t agree to sell without a pre-order at all). Will never return even though I live around the block. When I got out of the store I immediately ordered a wild bouquet from Peaseblossoms down on 11 St SW which were so courteous and will provide same day delivery.

I was initially very unhappy with the arrangement that was delivered for me because it lacked the creativity and pizzazz that one would normally expect from a highly rated florist. The owner, however, was quick to rectify the situation. She was very kind and wonderful to talk to, and very empathetic regarding the occasion for which the flowers were for. Kensington Florist stands by the quality of their work (you see that less and less nowadays), and the delivery was prompt. That's excellent customer service right there. I will not hesitate to use them again, and would definitely recommend them to anyone in the future. I have attached pictures of the newer arrangement. It looks amazing! I needed to find a florist who would deliver the same day as it was our aunts birthday on a Sunday and I was all the way in Victoria. I chose Kensington Florist because they were open and were close to our aunts residence. I was so blessed to have found this florist as I received prompt service and they were very helpful. Ken from Kensington florist was not only very friendly and knowledgeable but actually took my order to a whole other level when he offered to hand deliver this special arrangement personally to my aunt. I know who I will be calling every year from now on for Aunt Sylvias annual bouquet. I would not give five stars, I would give six because of the above and beyond service. First, let me say say the staff is amazing!! I have worked with many different individuals, especially Stephanie, and they have all been exceptional! It’s a pleasure coming in each time. I have gotten two custom arrangements now and they both hit it out of the park. The Christmas design especially exceeded expectations! It looks exponentially better than the reference photo! But both have been beautiful nonetheless. The prices have been more than reasonable and I feel satisfied every time! Can’t wait to see what they come up with in 2023! Thank you for giving the beauty of art and nature. It is such a joy to look at each creation.

I am not experienced in purchasing arrangements, as it's easy to just stop at the grocery store for a flowered variety at the ready, but I am so glad I went out of my way to visit this florist today. I had no idea really what I was looking for, or if it would be possible to arrange something within the half hour I had, but right away I was given such great help and knew that my vases would be arranged to suit my needs. So so beautiful! And there was also the perfect card just sitting there, waiting for me to pickup. It felt like I was supposed to be there today and I left a very happy first time customer. Had higher hopes for the service. Finally arrived after 7pm - Its dark and the day is pretty well over. I called in the morning and the employee had no idea when it would be delivered... are we supposed to cancel our plans and sit around all day waiting for some flowers to show up? After reading the most recent reviews I'm choked to see you made last minute orders a priority to be delivered after I placed my order back in the beginning of February. Last but not least, after these flowers arrived, all of the water was spilled inside of the packaging, which was a nightmare to unwrap without getting water all over the kitchen.

I cannot speak highly enough of Stephanie and the team at Kensington Florist. I live in BC and wanted to send flowers of condolence to family in Calgary on the loss of a family member. From the moment I reached out Stephanie was so kind and supportive in providing all the information we needed and patient while we made our final selection. After leaving an important part of Prom to the last minute, Kensington Florist took my order with a smile, and had the corsage and boutonniere ready by the time they told me (less than 24hours), and they were GORGEOUS! The couple was very happy! I wish I had noted the names of the wonderful people who helped - I know it was a lovely gentleman who did the design and put them together. I am so pleased! I've made a couple of visits to Kensington Florist in the last few weeks, and have been so pleasantly surprised at their wonderful selection of beautiful flower and plants options for purchase. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating to and for me, especially last time when I just walked in and wanted to purchase some cut flowers for $45 to bring to a friend's. They even put water in the plastic wrap AND placed the bouquet in a box for easy transportation. It was truly excellent service. I will continue to be a repeat customer!!

I live in New Brunswick and I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my best friend who lives in Calgary. The ladies at Kensington were so helpful to work with and they helped me organize a flower delivery for me to be able to ask my best friend to be my Maid of Honor. After the order was placed, I found out that my friend wasn’t going to be home the day of the delivery - the ladies were quick to be able to help accommodate another way to ensure she’d get her flowers. Amazing customer service from all the way across the country!!

The new management has really made this place pop. The store looks so bright and much more welcoming, and the flowers were amazing. Angelina helped me to pick the perfect arrangement for my Mom. They had such a great selection to choose from - I wanted them all. There were great contemporary and traditional arrangements already made in the cooler for me to look at, but when I wanted something a little different they helped direct me towards the perfect flowers for her. I'll be going back for sure.

My first experience with Kensington Florist was amazing with the staff picking a very nice arrangement that lasted almost 2 weeks! With my most recent experience I ordered Valentine's flowers - they were very beautiful but the roses and a few other flowers started to bend and die within a couple days. So I send an email to the shop sharing my dissatisfaction and they gave me a handheld bouquet that was even nicer than the original bouquet at no charge! Great customer service.

Wow. The ladies here gave me the best customer service I have had anywhere. It was last minute mothers day and I didn't have time to get down to the store before closing. I was looking for a specific style of vase, one girl took photos of a couple they had and emailed them to me!!!! I emailed back to say which one I wanted and they held the vase for me the day before mothers day. Awesome. So happy with my purchase, it was actually a pleasure to shop here! I was blown away :)

There aren't many florists open on Sundays, and I'm so grateful that Kensington Florist is one of them. I walked in just this past Sunday to get some last-minute custom arrangements for Chinese New Year. Not only did they still have a great selection of flowers, but Stephanie was very helpful and was able to have my two arrangements complete in just over an hour. The recipients were very happy with their colourful and beautiful arrangements - I wish I took photos!

A little late on my review but I find myself buying flowers here almost once a month since my fiancée loves them. I was here on valentines to grab some quick bouquets for my sisters birthday and my fiancee and they were extremely busy but somehow found some time to help me out. A little pricy but their arrangements are top notch and I always get a lot of praise whenever I give them so well worth it. I’m pretty sure I’ll see them next month again for fresh flowers

There was nothing particularly wrong with my arrangement, but it didn’t really meet my expectations. It cost $100 and they had cheap daisies front at centre in the arrangement. Gerbras, carnations, hyacinths & daisies seem unimpressive choices for that price point. Feb 13 update: the owner reached out to me & generously provided a replacement bouquet. We very much appreciate this act of good faith & this bouquet was more to my taste than the original.

Kensington Florist did an excellent job satisfying my difficult 89 year old mother who is very set in her ways. After sending a beautiful arrangement of yellow roses back, despite the fact that this is what we ordered for mom; the team and Selmitah went out of their way to make a wonderful succulent plant pot for her and included a yellow rose stem. Excellent service and very patient and kind to my Mother. Will use again and completely recommend.

I live in Ontario and needed to send flowers in Calgary. I ordered online through Kensington Florists and was extremely pleased with the selection. The arrangement was exactly what I ordered, delivered on time and based on the beaming smile of the recipient, beautiful. The online system for ordering was seamless and they accepted an etransfer. Overall and excellent experience and I will use them again.

Have been a long time customer due to the beautiful quality flowers and fantastic customer service. Now living abroad, I ordered flowers for my Grandma's birthday - Suzie was extremely helpful. Even going so far as to ring the retirement home to ensure the flowers had been received - top notch service. Bouquet was large and colourful, needless to say it made for a very special birthday.

Received 2 floral arrangements for my birthday today from out of province and out of country family and friends. Design was unfortunately meh and multiple flowers in both arrangements where crushed and damaged. I’m assuming that greater care and effort is provided to local purchases, but they’ve definitely lost my local business and will advise family and friends of the same.

I special requested a colourful planted arrangement for a much beloved long time friend. The plants she received were all green. I contacted Kensington to express my surprised disappointment . They could not have been more professional or understanding. The sent a spectacular replacement the same day. I am very grateful and happy for how this mistake was rectified.

When I contacted Kensington Florists, I was desperate. I had a small budget and needed several Christmas "gifts". The ladies did up some wonderfully Christmassy poinsettia plants that were absolutely perfect. They delivered some with only a few hours notice, and I also dropped in and picked some up on the spot with no notice. I definitely recommend them!

On Wednesday I walked into this lovely shop to make an unusual request for a bouquet of flowers. The kind staff helped me choose flowers, explained the meaning of their colours and a designer arranged them effortlessly. I had the luck of going in today and the owner was there and she made the arrangement for my girlfriends grandmother's 80th birthday extra special. The staff was super friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend giving them your business.

Purchased pink roses and the product was nowhere resembles the photo shown on the website. Emailed them about the issue and they told me that the photos online are photoshopped and may not be accurate to the product you will receive. As you can from the photos the flowers look far off in comparison. Will be shopping flowers elsewhere next time.

We received a grinch tree from my best friend for Christmas. It was absolutely gorgeous. Much nicer than any I have seen and even more beautiful than pictured online. Delivery was ideal. The driver called when she was five minutes away from our home facilitating a smooth delivery to our condo building. Kensington Florist is a five star florist.

I had an unique set of circumstances with my order and the people at Kensington Florist were amazing. I am in a wheelchair and could not go up the stairs to pick it up. I placed my order ahead of time and they brought it out to me and even brought some twine to help secure it. The recipients loved the bouquets! I would highly recommend them.

I ordered an arrangement for my mom for mother's day, albeit I was late ordering and Kensington Florist was the only shop that would accept my late order. I was told it would be designers choice and they did an amazing job, flowers were very fresh and beautiful. I wont be going anywhere else for flowers now and I highly recommend.
