"My wife and i recently made a delivery order with Kwan and Wok, we ordered the Orange Chicken dinner plate and the Low-main lunch plate, was about $25 bucks for the meal and when the delivery guy showed up we payed for the meal and typed nice 20% for the guy, anyways as we went in to eat we opened the the plates to find out they messed up our orders, my wife got her plate and found white rice and noodles, the meal stated fried rice noodles and an egg roll, that was the first issue i then opened my plate to find a completely different meal then what i paid for, i got orange chicken fried rice and an egg roll, i never eat there egg rolls because there discussing my meal was supposed to have Low-Main noodles fried rice and orange chicken"

My wife and i recently made a delivery order with Kwan and Wok, we ordered the Orange Chicken dinner plate and the Low-main lunch plate, was about $25 bucks for the meal and when the delivery guy showed up we payed for the meal and typed nice 20% for the guy, anyways as we went in to eat we opened the the plates to find out they messed up our orders, my wife got her plate and found white rice and noodles, the meal stated fried rice noodles and an egg roll, that was the first issue i then opened my plate to find a completely different meal then what i paid for, i got orange chicken fried rice and an egg roll, i never eat there egg rolls because there discussing my meal was supposed to have Low-Main noodles fried rice and orange chicken. so we decided to call them back and let them know that our order was incorrect and to ask them to correct the mistake well when my wife called she was greeted politely as she started to explain the issue with our order the phone man insisted that we were wrong in what we ordered and as she tried to explain the guy cut her off and hung up on her, i didn't believe my wife when she told me she called and the guy cut her off and hung up on her so i called for myself and as soon as i said the order was wrong the guy got an attitude and cut me off at every word i said so i stopped talking to him for a second and asked to speak to the manager and he told me he was the manager so i said let me talk to your supervisor and he replied "he's not in right now and if he were in you still couldn't talk to him" so i told hime thats no way to treat a paying costumer he said "too bad" and hung up on me, if this is the type of service you expect for low grade food then by all means call em up and place an order the odds are you won't get what you wanted and you won't get them to fix it ether but if your like me and think service is every thing stay away from this place the food sucks the service is crap and the prices are outrageous i hope this review makes it out to the consumer because this place really needs to be shut down.
I have been coming here for nearly 4 years. Because of work I hadn't been in about a month and a half. So I went this afternoon 03/14/23. I was very disappointed. Apparently the original husband and wife left about 3 weeks ago and a new couple took over. I always get the chicken and broccoli. It was always fresh chicken was cooked white clean rice was firm and broccoli snapped and the containers were always crammed full. I get home today and find just the opposite. The containers weren't even 3/4 full. The rice was sticky slimy and off white the chicken looked like beef, brown shriveled and in round lumps, the broccoli was small limp and felt like it had been soaking in something for hours. The taste was non-existent. It was bland and had no taste at all. After only two mouthfuls I scrapped my plate in the garbage and sat very unhappy. I'm gonna say this was a one off. Maybe a bad day. Maybe just a fluke. I'm gonna try one more time and see what happens. But if tonight's meal is any indication of how the new owners cook I probably won't be going back ever again, which will be disappointing as I spent months looking for a good Chinese take out. Being from the Northeast originally I'm used to New York style take out. Panda Express and others like it don't do it for me. A small family owned place is best. Kwan n Wok was my number 1 for years. I'm hoping this was just some mistake and not the new norm for this restaurant. For this visit if I could have posted a negative star I would have. I'll post an update after my next visit. Best wishes to all.

I really liked this place! I heard it was having a reopening and that they offered more Vietnamese food. My partner and I got the Lunch menu. You get the entree, fried rice, and a spring roll with a drink. I had the Shrimp with Cashew and my partner had the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. We also shared an iced Vietnamese coffee which was strong, creamy and tasty! I wish the serving was larger but I liked it still. My food was hot and flavorful and not overwhelming. The shrimp was cooked well and I loved the veggies that were fresh and cooked perfectly. The rice was also good too. The drink selection is limited to different cans and bottles of soda/tea, but we also got cups of ice to pour them in. The place is unpretentious in its furnishings which I liked! They also give you large servings, I almost didn't finish mine. I want to try the sandwiches next along with the Vietnamese fried rice. Definetly recommend this place, and you should also try the other places nearby.

Typical hole in the wall restuarant. Dining area was clean. Bathroom out of order, and the food I got was hot and tasty. That's it for the good. The ordering process was... a process. Wanted the lunch special with shrimp fried rice. this was not allowed. not even as a seperate order. during the conversation about what disqualified us from the lunch special. It was pointed out I could order the dinner combo and then get a side of shrimp fried rice. the lady pointed to the quart sized takeout box. Ordered that. What I got was my pepper steak and shrimp fried rice as part of the combo. NOT a quart sized side. the entree was skimpy too. I estimate I got 10 pieces of steak (less than 1/4 lb), a whole onion and bell pepper (chopped). Went to pay with Samsung Pay and they refused. said too many people use it and dispute the charges. so I used my unsigned backup card and they were happy with that. dining area was empty. I wonder why. Dining area also had TERMITE DAMAGE (see picture). I will not be returning.
The real KWAN WOK was legendary in the area. I was actually in the store when the new people took over. I gave the new owners time to setup, a few months later I ordered my classic dish steamed shrimp and vegetables. Cost $14.75. I got 2 very small mushrooms, 1/16th of a Zucchini slice, 1 sliver of carrot and 3 strands of Bok Chou, 6 very, very small shrimp he said was 41-60 (an unknown) shrimp size. Needless to say after years patronage with the prior owners. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE NEW FAKE KWAN WOK. Review: small tasteless portion. Don’t do it to yourself and your hard earned money. Find a different favorite spot.

Kwan & Wok has been our go to for Chinese delivery for the past 10 years. I live fairly close by which could account for why they always beat their delivery estimate (hey, better to under promise and over deliver). I've never been disappointed with the quality or quantity of their food, and if it's not on the menu they will happily make your custom order (try Kung Pao Pork some time [substituting BBQ Pork for chicken or beef]) with extra nuts and peppers over lo mein noodles, or Orange Chicken kicked up with extra heat. Yum! I all honesty though, I did eat at the restaurant once. It was clean and the food was still excellent, but they were so busy with delivery orders that the in-house service was left somewhat wanting.
Just a simple family restaurant. Quick food. I literally order on the freeway and it is ready when I get there. 10-15 min. Huge quantity and great taste. Cheaper and better than Panda.

Busy business mall. Hard to get a parking spot. I usually get takeout so I just double park and run in.
I usually like this place, but not today. I understand places are slammed right now, however everything was wrong!! I had to use Door Dash to order, they didn't have a driver. This is in no means a reflection on Door Dash or their driver. I ordered Cashew chicken, Fried Shrimp, and Crab puffs. The shrimp and puffs were over cooked, and not a Cashew in site. They gave me Garlic Chicken and veggies. Then to top it all off, I bit into a Crab puff and lost a tooth from my bottom plate of my denture. So this was a VERY EXPENSIVE meal, that I can't eat!! Now, on top of the $32 I spent on the meal, I now have to pay $90 to have the tooth reset in the denture!!
Charges $3 extra to substitute white rice with soft noodle. Extra 3 ducking dollars!!! Thats insane!! Not only a rip off, but the prices are outrageous for the type of place it is. It says on their name, fast food, not fine dining. Cost me over $12 for the food & doesnt include a drink. Spend about $14-15 on fast food. Maybe is should start taking fda approved drugs to be brainwashed into spendig my money like its not. Sit down restaurant down the street, not fast food has the same prices & probably bigger portions. Reason why you stay in business is because you are overcharging. You are not getting your ingredients ship from China!
I love this restaurant and I mean love!!! I get the Hunan Shrimp combo plate and it's enough food for 3 servings. My daughter gets Lo Mein and she loves it. The lady on the phone is always pleasant. We always get to go and we are only a couple blocks away so it's just perfect. Next time we are going to try delivery!!! By the way whoever cooks really knows how to cook seafood because it is never overdone! Thanks Kwan Wok you have a customer for life.

This place has really good food. I recently moved and they don't deliver in my area. I had ordered from a different Chinese restaurant called lucky kitchen which was absolutely horrendous only ordered from them because they delivered in my area never again I will have to go to Kwan & wok to get my food from now on considering they don't deliver in my area but it will be well worth it because their food is pretty freaking good. And if you're reading this review believe me lucky kitchen is absolutely disgusting
My family has been coming to this restaurant for years because of how delicious the food is. Family staple, really. Especially the wonton soup! Customer service is alright, seem a little bit annoyed with the customer sometimes, but it's okay, because you're just getting your food, and getting out. Unless you dine there, but even if you do. It's not so bad. :) Prices are a little bit up there, but lunch specials aren't too bad or the dinner specials. Enjoy the food, you won't regret!
me and my boyfriend go there when we want some good fried rice. but the people have nt been mean to me or my boyfriend but, i seen them be mean to other costumer and, also i always here them be rude to the people on the phone ordering or that had order, who is knw calling back. place need a update on everything and people. i would never go there if the were being mean to me but it looks like it will be going soon cuz u not that many people go there any more
This place has a good selection of foods on the menu and quite a few specials as well. I tried about a half the items on the menu so far and I haven't been disappointed in any of them. Unlike many local restaurants they don't load the plate up with vegetable or rice and no meat; there's plenty of meat and/or fish in your serving. The the food is prepared quickly and nice and hot. Extra bonus they have delivery and they deliver till 10 p.m. weekends.

I am a new customer. The first time I ordered Shrimp with vegetables and everything was just fine. The 2nd time the shrimp wasn't so good. They gave me another order in trade for the bad one. Now because of that, they won't let me order any more shrimp??? Is that admitting to having bad shrimp at times?? So now I can't order no more shrimp, crazy!!! I am disabled and don't drive, I'll have to find another joint to get all my needed food, UGH!!!
Threw most of my $23 meal away. Veggie chow mein smelled weird. The broccoli was mostly soggy yellow (discolored) not green! The shrimp was OK because you can’t really mess shrimp up and my veggie egg rolls were soggy not fresh. I was told 15 min but it’s like the food had been sitting there after I hung up the phone. Called at 6:00pm was there at 6:11pm. If they were fresh they should have been crispy. Sorry but NO.. go somewhere else
The fried rice is so light and delicious! The protein is definitely high quality and the vegetables are fresh. The portions are large and heaping. Staff is beyond friendly and professional. We are treated with a smile every time we come in. Only down side is that this place isn’t open 24/7!

This is hands down the best Chinese food I've found over the last 20 years in the Phoenix area. They do a brisk takeout and delivery business but also have tables inside but with no table service. You get a ton of food for the money and the meat and vegetables have always been quality. They will also make some slightly custom dishes like my favorite, pork and broccoli in garlic sauce.
Best Chinese food I had in Phoenix hands down nice lady wonderful family you can see the kids getting the education when you come in food is on point items are not skimpy flavor is there I go around once if not twice a month they have at least 35 dinner combos for under $10 for all your favorite Chinese food

DoorDash really works great. My place is tough to find and it still rocks. The food was good. Great Mei Fun. The Chow Mein is in fact Lo Mein if you know that from the east coast. And I wanted chow mein and that turned out to be Chop Suey. I will have to try again. I called and asked and it would have been a five point review if I could have had a sample of the chow mein/chop suey.
These people were very rude when I called. They only offered me large portions and when I told him the area I lived in he said, oh you probably can't afford. Minimum is 20$ and u can't afford. Wow. I have money sir. I know how to order food. I will never ever ever ever allow anyone to order from this place much less consider it. How demeaning and disrespectful they were.
The restaurant was empty when we arrived and that was around new cama which should have given us an idea about the food would be. By general Tao's chicken seem like it had been frozen and just warmed a little bit. The coating was rock hard and the sauce tasted burnt. My friend got dump lanes and she was OK with them but I know for me, I won't be back.
Their dining room is now open. Great food, prices are reasonable and quality is always great.

Lots of room.
Ever since it reopened on the 22nd of February there has been a new staff and the food isn’t nearly as high quality as it once. I went on two separate occasions to verify my claim and still, mediocre. I have been coming here since I was a kid so well over 10 years. I don’t know what changed but they need to go back to the old Kwon and Wok!!!
I have been ordering food from here since 2010. The food is still as full of clean crisp flavor now as it was then!! Worth the struggle of fighting for parking at times if it's that time of day. I had forgotten about this hidden gem until a year ago. My oldest then reminded me. Blessed to have passed along a great family choice.
Great food with HEALTHY portions. The service is GREAT, they even stayed open later when I showed up 5 minutes before closing (my first time, I didn't know their hours of operation). They were very nice and didn't complain at all about staying open late to take my order. I would definitely recommend them as a "go-to" Asian EATERY!
I ordered shrimp fried rice and the rice, egg rolls, and sweet and sour chicken. The rice was over cooked, the egg rolls were burned and the sweet and the chicken was too hard. I won’t ever order from this place again….

I've come here for years when I lived on 19th and Glendale. They were quick on delivery and the food is AMAZING! They are always so nice to customers and would give me free soda for being a long time customer. Love this place! I just recently moved to Tucson and I still go all the way out to phx just for this food. 5 stars!
Its a yes and no for me, they have a good variety of food. It just depends on how they make it most of the time. Customer service is ok and understanding, company aged over the years of business. To me personally I would upgrade the inside and detail it more. Make it look nice and neat. Overall good place to dine in or out.
This place is nasty! I ordered the sweet and sour chicken it basted like it was old meat the beef and broccoli was gross the beef was like mush and the broccoli tasted old! I would nog recommend this place to anybody! I’m from California so I know what Chinese food is supposed to taste like and this was not it by far!
The chicken teriyaki is not it. The fried rice tasted like fish. The wonton was very dark and had been refried. It was soaked in oil when I bit it. They changed recipes or cooks. Cause this is the 2nd time. I had to chuck it

Finally decided to try Kwan & Wok and to my surprise their food is delicious and their restaurant on 17th Ave and Camelback is really clean and cozy. I love when we find a family owned restaurant that is priced appropriately and their food is good. We will definitely keep coming back to them …
this place used to be good however, within the past couple years they have slowly decline in their taste of food to the point where you can't eat it... and the inside smells horrible PS... im not an angry customer at one point in the past i would recommend this place to everyone... not anymore!!!!
Good expected fast food Chinese offerings. Got the Sesame Chicken lunch special. Plate of most meats with fried rice, spring roll and a can of soda for $7-9. Great lunch. Lots of leftovers. Crab Cream Cheese Rangoons were small but light, crispy an almost one biter. I'll definitely return.

Good food for fair price. Snugged away in a little asian plaza, the food is pretty quick to come out for pick-up or carry out. No complaints with staff or food. I get the general Tso's combination order and it comes with a hefty serving and fried rice on the side, delicious.
Absolute worst customer service ever, the woman that answers the phone is very rude. In any of their meat platters is all vegetables, I'm ordered beef with broccoli and only gotten like three pieces of beef. You're better off going to the pho place right across the way
This is wifey and I's new go to... we live on 16th St and Bethany Home, still make the trip when craving some legit Chinese. Staff is friendly and very quick. 10/10. Lunch time is the best time to go... Not sure what the hours are though lol...Just know its until 3pm.
I love this place. My sister and I use to eat here all the time. She died in 2017 and when I went in after they asked where she was I told them she had died. They were so sad for me and said they were so sorry and how nice she always was. It really meant alot to me.
My family started to get take out from here, and it's been great! Great food, and great service. And if you call ahead it's pretty quick service.

Teriyaki Chicken, Pork Fried Rice
It's weird to have a set opinion on this place. Sometimes the food is amazing, and sometimes it's just not. I sometimes love their orange chicken, as well as their fried rice. The shrimp and veggies are also good. Sometimes. I will probably be back at some point.
This restaurant is a place my family and I have been going to more over 10 years, the place looks terrible but it adds to the authenticity of a typical NewYork take out spot... order the house blend noodles and the beef&broccoli and you will not regret it …
Fast for on the go. Open the styrofoam container and its ready to shove it down because of the design. You dont have to figure out how to eat it. Its laid out in your face. Just open wide. Teriyaki chicken is my choice. Comes with a spring roll. Chow for now.
I don't know how don't have five stars across the board. They are fast On delivery, the sizes are enormous, food is absolutely amazing! The only downside is its cash only. You better believe I'm going to go pull some out of the ATM this place is great!
R.I.P. Kwan & Wok. New management and the food is not the same as before. My family has been getting Chinese here for over a decade but we will definitely be finding a new spot. Sad day...

Fairly decent selection of dishes and pretty tasty. Some of the chicken in the General Tso was pure breading and was pretty crunchy. Quick service and affordable. Don’t know that I would go back given the other options for Chinese cuisine in the area.
I got the kung pao tofu and not only was it delicious, but there was so much of it that it filled me up for the entire day. I did burn my mouth so bad that it bled from brushing my teeth for a few days, but that's my fault. I was just really hungry.
Waste of money. I ordered orange chicken and sweet and sour pork. I guess they handed me whatever they had because it wasn't what I ordered and it wasn't pork. So just go somewhere else. I think theres a little Caesars across the way. Just go there.
So I ordered dumplings one had a hair im like ok that happens sometimes I look at in my sauce it was a fried spider in it please do not eat there its gross I found out I wasn't the only one who found bugs in their food please stay away …
Another one of those places you dont hear too much about through google its small but good food i dont like how they fix their sweet and sour chicken but i haven't been disappointed with thwir other stuff yet so we are gonna keep going
I purchased fried chicken wings And fried rice with shrimp there was 3 pieces of shrimp in rice an the wings were reheated an tasted old. God know how long they were in the freezer will never go there again. Had to throw my food away.
I really like the Chinese food here. The staff is friendly. Your food is made to order not already mAde. They offer free items with your purchase. They deliver almost any where if they're not busy. All around a good place to eat.
At first I liked it, but then the more I was eating through my serving of teriyaki chicken I realized a large portion was fat and gristle. I could no longer stomach it. The taste was amazing and unique though and servings large.
They are not opened anymore. Too bad because this was our fav. I am happy to know that they are opened again ordered today everything was wonderful delivery didn't take too long. Really just damn happy they are opened. Thanks
We have eaten here several times and really enjoy the food. Today my order of Mongolian beef might as well have been Mongolian onions. I had about 3 pieces of beef in the entire dish. My husband had a similar issue with his.
New owner's. Worse Chinice I ever had. And not cheep at lach special 6.68 . Rise was nothing I use to get here. Was so Cresy.no taste .it was all bad even egg roll Was bad and chicken was dry .I will never eat there. Again.
I really love there Chow mein . my daughter loves it she calls it Chinese spaghetti. The rice is good too. They are always nice. Great food I recommend house/shrimp fried rice, chow mein and sweet and sour chicken. …
Best Chinese food I had so far after trying 6 others. The chicken looked like it could be cooked longer in my fried rice though. Other wise huge portions , loved the general tsos. They were also fast making my order.
I've been coming here for so many years now. It's quality food. And yes these folks are humble. The prices are humble and the food is always delicious. Clean, simple, efficient. What more do you want? This is Value.
Haven't had food from Kwan&Wok in a long time and after eating what I used to order before , I will probably never go back ! I don't know if they changed owners , but food is no where near as good as it used to be !
I repeat DO NOT EAT the fried chicken.... Its full of grease and precooked aka old chicken.... Im not lying this was flat out nasty... Im sorry.... It even smells old... Idk but dont play yourself like i did playaz
Ordered Sweet n Sour Chicken. It was just ok. My egg roll looked like it was over done, full of greese and had sat for a good while. Didnt even try it. Looked nasty. Sadly, will not be ordering from there again.
Shrimp fried rice doesn't seem like it's fried, shrimp is small and taste dirty... Orange chicken chewy... Definitely over priced ... First and last time here. Not to mention kids all on the counter playing.
I love the General Tso chicken at this location perfect crisp and flavor.

I tried to place an order with the lady there and we ordered a few days before that, the in the price was different about $9 exact same order. Then when I told her she is cheating people she hung up
I always get the orange chicken and it is real good. And hey are quick and the food is always hot. Just bothers me that they have a clutter in a corner. Makes me wonder how their kitchen might look
It used to be my favorite spot for chinese food. But now its gone. Ingredients are not fresh and the taste is definitely different. I ordered 5 items and everthing is not good enough. Super sad.
So much food for what you pay for. Their tofu orders use a entire brick of tofu, can’t argue with that. Do yourself a favor and access it from going west bound, it’s a real pain any other way.

Love coming here the food is amazing! Best Chinese food around! Prices are good and so are their specials! I have been a customer for about a year and will continue being a customer!
We ate the pork fried rice, the chicken chow mein and the LG Teriyaki chicken. It was all very delicious and flavorful. This was our first time ordering and i will continue to order.
They don’t give u the exact food you order and won’t give you a refund for the mistake they made. “It’s just a picture we don’t make this” was their excuse. Food was not cooked well.
My favorite spot for Chinese take-out! Tasty vegetarian options like General Tso's Tofu and Broccoli with garlic sauce. The family meal combo os a great deal $ very nice people !
Small family owned business, fast friendly service, phenominal food at a decent price, big bang for your buck. This is my first five star rating and honestly this place is great!
Great food, but they charge $.50 for use of debit or credit cards if under $10, and most meals are under $10. Love the food but I don’t go here because of the added fee.
That urban legend about using rat in place of chicken might be true here! I have never had chicken that looked or tasted anything like this! Absolutely gross
I usually order here pretty good food but I don’t recommend the orange chicken I order than from here on Wednesday and ended up getting food poisoning
I ordered sweet and sour chicken. No sauce. Ordered 2 egg rolls...1 spring roll and 1 egg roll.

This is a small place but the food is made to order and always fabulous. They have tofu plates and don't skimp on the tofu. They are always friendly

My first time there . Awesome service from lady up front . Full of smiles & the food was very very tasty. I will difentlley be back . Yummy
My closest friend recommended Teriyaki Chicken and it was excellent! Great customer service and clean restaurant! I’ll will eat here again!
Food was ok and plenty of it. Didn't like the wonton soup with all the extra stuff in it. I am used to broth, wonton, pork and onion only.
Great portions, delicious fried rice but the shrimp tasted and smelled like ammonia so I'd rather not go to a place with spoiled shrimp.
I got Mongolian Beef with lo mien instead of rice. It's ws enough for 3 meals!!

I really love the food made here. It's never busy when we go. The food is always hot made when you order. Thanks for the good food
Great traditional Asian cuisine served there. Prepared just right the way my family and I enjoy it. Reminds us of eating at home.
This is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the valley. Reasonably priced, large portions and tasty. Try it, you'll like it!
Service was mediocre. The fried rice was good but, the egg drop soup was bland. Expensive for what you get. Will not be back!
My first time there. I enjoyed the food. Needs some remodeling though very typical hole in the wall decor. I will go back.
