The ubiquitous Aussie Chinese Takeaway. Always reliable. Always good. And always under spicy/chilli for me. But thats a good thing. If you like your chinese spicy or chilli go one chilli level up on their spicy index. Couple of friends and family in my circle like Kang’s single chilli suggestion. Personally i like chilli at the level to get my nose running. If you’re after that you need to make a special request. Otherwise, the serving sizes are more than enough and represent value. If you’re getting chicken, beef or squid and expect vegetables in the mix you might want to order a side of vegetables to go with it. Kang’s is your reliable country Aussie chinese restaurant. Only thing missing is a couple of Crownies.

Just ate at your restuarant ..l paid 60 dollars for a microwaved meal l thought was a newly created meal the meat was like rubber l know what microwaved food tastes like and the texture.lm really disappointed that l even came in the food was the worse Asian food l have ever eaten ..it was brought to us really quickly. This tells me it wasn't freshly prepared and l do believe chicken chicken can only be reheated once after being cooked and l hope for your sake l don't get food poisoning ..l paid 60 dollars for one of the worst.meals l have ever eaten l will never set foot in your restuarant .ever again l left most of my meal .on the plate..l dfont want to make a scene ..than you for ruining my night with my lady .neveragain

We ran into Kangs Wok Chinese restaurant 0n Maroondah Highway in Healesville while all other restaurants on the strip were not serving food. At the time this restaurant was relatively empty and so we tepidly decided to eat there. When the cutlery and plates were laid, we were surprised at the cleanliness of the place. This was reassuring. We ordered chicken satay, Singapore Noodle. When the food arrived, we were further surprised by the good quality and the quantity. The noodle had a very distinct pleasant taste For the small price of the meal and table service, I would go there again and recommend it .

Dnt know about the food as I did not get to try it as the guy in the counter was extremely rude, felt like he did not want me and 2 of my friends in the restaurant, he asked us to show our covid certificates which we where doing, just took a couple of mins to get the phn out to show him the certificates, but he kept on rushing us. My friend lost his wallet and his phon died so I let him use my phone so he could show his certificate but the guy then asked to check his licence he was just making it so difficult for us so just decided to leave. Never going back

Very nice fresh food. Sadly we were made to have take away even though we wanted to sit in. As we sat out front and finished our takeaway food on a park bench seat being bitten by bugs the table that was still being served when we ordered ours is still there now as we leave to drive 2.5 hours home. Very disappointed that Healesville has completely lost its care for tourists and travellers a like. Rude and blunt lack of care for the paying customers. After all Australian tourism has been through in the last 3 years. Seriously dumb as.

The food was great, the staff were incredible. Though it took a long time for preparation and it was worth the wait, I realised something. There were only two people serving, and one man was not only serving but taking orders, bringing dishes and washing them, cleaning, collecting the money at the front and being extraordinarily kind. My 1 year old daughter was crying, and he quickly gave her a mentos to cheer her up, not making himself noticeable. He was extremely humble and joyous that there are people like him in the world.

Kang's Wok offers a delightful culinary journey, where the savory aromas of carefully crafted dishes embrace you upon entry. Had a wonderful lunch with my gf and my mum. First time eating here as we don’t live close and we’re visiting my mum. We’ll definitely be eating here again, we couldn’t fault any of the food it was all delicious. So delicious after we ate I ordered meals for the next day as takeaway as where we live we don’t have an Asian restaurant so we enjoyed asian food the next day and was so yum I love homemade dimsims and recommend you try them. Lemon chicken, garlic king prawns were beautiful. Can’t wait till next time.

Australian style Chinese restaurant. The soups were good, just what we needed on a cold autumn night. The coconut butter fish main was a bit confusing, it was sort of sweet - but not really (guess that’s because of the desiccated coconut). The singapore noodles were kind of sweet as well. There’s not too many choices for dinner in this town - and this place was definitely better than others on offer (Atleast it was open for dinner a later than others).

I've gotta say that this is the best Australian style Chinese restaurant I've ever been to in my life. I wish they had a secret traditional Chinese menu available for people who like the read deal, but I completely understand that the local demographic is predominantly white Aussies and therefore they sell white Aussie Chinese food where means luke warm, and the best selling dishes are beef in black bean sauce and lemon chicken (dishes you'll struggle to find anywhere in China).

It had very very very bad squid that could not be cut even with a knife I found a hair on my plate and I was given chilli even after being specifically told that it could cause complications with my health they even threatened to call the police after I complained and arcs for discount even calling me a liar about the hair in my food !!! Even after a admitting that there was a hair and it was all caught on film do not waste your time or money do not go to this restaurant !!!!!

CAUTION>>>>> Scammed my credit card $87 - asked for refund when I discovered they had charged me double the bill. I Contacted manager and explained the new malaysian waiter mucked up our order and charged us twice and did not give us a card receipt of the transaction. She stubbornly refused to refund, admit error or recitify the double deduction. Would not refund anything. Highly recommend avoiding this restaurant and watch your card transactions for higher priced scam.

We ordered takeaway and were so impressed. Isn’t dripping with oil. Feels quite healthy to eat more so than other restaurants which are too salty. Loved the water chestnuts. Will definitely be ordering from here from now on. So tasty. Thank you.

Had the sweet and sour prawns, seafood combination, black bean noodles and rice. All were delicious with great portion sizes. The order was ready on time and the server was very kind. Nothing special, just usual Asian. Asked for non-spicy noodle seafood soup, was offered another soup with meat replaced to seafood for extra few bucks, took that, didn't want to escalate. So, having hundreds ingredients and about 60 dishes on menu, they can't do your simple wishes without paying extra money. Off the list, go somewhere else next time...

Thai green chicken curry is delicious. Salt and pepper scallops, only got 4 in the whole dish, and it wasnt cheap. The fried rice was pretty average, no vegies, except a few frozen peas and corn. Was expecting a propper fried rice.

So very disappointed with the rainbow chicken. Not the rainbow chicken I know and love. Vegies seemed old and microwaved. A small saucer of rice and charged like it was a takeaway container. Staff made you feel like they wanted you out so they could close up. Disappointed as was a night out that rarely happens and food was horrible.

Tasty, reasonably priced food. They are open most of the day, which gives you flexibility compared with a lot of places. They have lots of options, including take away lunch boxes and banquets. A good value optiin is to order multiple entres, which are good sizes. They have family favorites like lemon chicken, and some Thai dishes.

This Asian restaurant is a gem. It has everything you could ask for in Hillsville. My taste budds couldn't be happier. I will definitely be back that's for sure.

Kang Woks is a fabulous place to have a bite of Asian food. After one week.in Aussie eating only bread, I felt a sense of relief to taste Asian food. The menu was varied and the price is affordable. The atmosphere is wonderful in a quiet area. I took a stroll to watch some old style colonial buildings along the street.

My family was simply looking for a Chinese restaurant located nearby and found this place on Google. We were pleasantly surprised after finding that their food was quite good overall and reasonably priced. They also serve some Southeast Asian dishes as well and we really liked their stir fried noodle (char kway teow).

Takeaway was absolutely delicious. Plenty of vegetarian options which were all super flavourful, and very well priced. Will be back.

We had to eat here because we have to eat. Service is is quite disappointing as the guy does not comprehend the order very well. Food quality is worse than a takeaway and the pricing makes it even worse. We even noticed there are dirty stuff on top of the can drink. Only the prawn cracker is acceptable.

Your local Chinese with an extensive menu and very nice food. Quite busy on a Saturday night but food arrived reasonably quickly. Not very expensive either.

Good old fashioned Asian food like I remember from the old days. We had honey chicken, sweet & sour pork, special fried rice, and spring rolls. Honestly, they were all delicious! It was a pleasant surprise to have all aspects of a meal pleasing. Will definitely be going back.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. The most amazing Chinese food and the value for money is good too. Seriously don’t look past this place if you’re in Healesville for dinner.

Char kwai teow from the lunch specials was ok. Presentation was a bit lacking (pile of noodles on plate), but was reasonably tasty. Could have done with some chilli oil to add some kick.
