Amazing experience does not do the experience I had with Penny Kelly of Kassab Jewelers justice. Was shopping for a surprise engagement ring for my girlfriend. I live in NYC, and there was a specific Barkev engagement ring that I had my eye on that I knew my girl would love. After much searching, the only place I seemed to find the ring was: Kassab Jewelers in Portland, OR. I was worried how I could make this work since it was a surprise engagement and, like i said, I live in NYC. So I called Kassab Jewelers and spoke with Penny Kelly. First of all, you can tell right away that she absolutely loves what she does and it's not all about the dollars and cents with her. She got me the absolute best deal on the ring. But more than a sales rep, I wanted to propose soon but all my credit cards were maxed out...so guess what? Penny was able to act as a liaison to a major credit card company and I was able to secure a credit card because of her (with 0% interest for 13 months if I may add). And with the additional credit, I was able to pay for the ring in full, thus speeding up when I would receive it. Penny knew it was a surprise engagement so she made sure to only contact me via email and when it came time to send the ring, she made sure to sent it when she knew I would be home to grab it the morning mail to keep everything a surprise. Everything worked like a charm. Finally the perfect moment came when I was at the beach with my girl, the sun was setting, no one was around...we had the whole beach to ourselves and that's when I got down on my knee, the tide splashing up against me and took out the ring. She. Was. Floored. Needless to say everything worked like a charm and my fiancé and I are very happy. If you are an out of state buyer like me, no worries, Penny Kelly of Kassab Jewelers will 100% take care of you. And no sales tax on the price which is a huge plus!!! Can't thank penny enough. She was able to take an idea and help turn it into a life long memory that my fiancé and I will take with us forever. She helped me...and if you are looking for help with the perfect engagement/ wedding ring, I have no doubt, she'll help you too. Cheers.

I am adamant about this amazing bespoke boutique....Kassab Jewelers is the best and only place to find the quality, cut and service you deserve. They take pride and passion in making you happy - and their impeccable taste is critical when you need an advisor...after all, you need to get this right or you may regret it forever. I tried twelve other jewelers prior, only to find few carried a decent inventory; no one wanted to lift a finger to find or provide options; few had CAD design capability, wax modeling, or both; hardly anyone could offer decent options for affordable custom transition between stone and setting. Basically everyone tried selling me something I didn't ask for or want, and let me walk out the door like it was no loss to them. Kassab, however, listened....they ordered 12 stones to my specifications with GIA certifications and within budget - next day air, for free...We carefully selected the best stone - together - and two immensely charming & sophisticated women then spent the rest of the day with me finding the right setting...a beautiful Mae Vona Scottish heritage custom design from New York. I was stunned. They thoroughly enjoyed making my life and this moment wonderful...I am eternally grateful. I learned national profit driven franchises weren't really offering true cost-effective quality. And few privately owned jewelers had enough scale to handle custom orders or custom design...nor have most modernized, meaning they remain low tech and purposively obfuscate transparency in buying diamonds on the open market. If you are a careful, loving and thoughtful buyer who wants service as it ought to be, and a diamond worthy of your true love, Kassab Jewelers is your choice, hands down, no matter how far you must travel to get there...

My fiancé and I had been looking for months for a jeweler to help us cast and set a custom engagement ring I had designed, modeled and 3D printed. We had been turned down by half a dozen jewelers who claimed they didn’t want the liability of working on a project without being involved from the beginning. On the verge of giving up hope, we stopped by Kassab one day to look at their ring selection. We were greeted by Danny Kassab, the son of the owner. We explained our situation one last time and to our surprise, Danny was not only open to the idea of working on our ring, but was enthusiastic! Even before we had agreed to hire them, he offered some great technical advice on ways we could improve the design and things to keep in mind. Working with Danny felt more like working with a friend (a very knowledgeable friend!) than a faceless business. He was both engaging and reassuring, which is exactly what we needed. We were confident that they would stay true to our initial design while making the necessary changes to insure our stones would be protected. To top it off, Danny expedited the project knowing that I was secretly trying to have the ring finished so I could ‘re-propose’ to my fiancé on the same date, 1 year later. I was prepared for it to not be ready by then, but amazingly, he was able to pull it off. They did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend working with Danny and his family owned jewelry shop. Please take the time to read this Story. Not a lot of folks can walk into a jewelry store and find someone like Kevin. The reason I am writing this review for the Downtown Store is that Google will only let me write one review per store. We met Kevin at the Washington Square store and we purchased a Veragio engagement ring. Since these rings are works of art, we only had enough for the ring and mounted with a CZ (which is OK). This was very early in the Covid and if you read my review on Google...We all figured out a way to make it very special for my soon to be fiance. She has been very cool and humble about her ring. Before Xmas this year, Kevin helped me find a matching wedding band to surprise her. The Veragio wedding band was mind boggling. I left Kevin another review in the LO store because, again, I felt a friend listened to us, our budget and our needs. When I bought the wedding band I asked Kevin to find her a stone, a special stone, a diamond that would light up this Veragio set. Well, Kevin, 5 months later, after reviewing 100 diamonds through brokers, called me to say he found the one. I went into the Lake Oswego Store and we inspected the diamond for about an hour. Every question I had was answered. I can't tell Kevin how much I appreciate his professionalism, honesty and integrity. Thank you to the owners of Kassab for having Kevin.

Penny epitomizes customer service. She was helpful in my process of buying the perfect ring for my fiancee 18 months ago. She gave me an honest opinion and thorough advice, not just selling something for a commission. She and her team made sure all my questions were answered and I was set up with insurance. She also happily resized the ring down a couple months later when my fiancee realized it was just a bit too big. Free and simple. What truly set her apart, though, was when she stepped up to help us when my fiancee's ring was stolen a month before our wedding. We were devastated about what happened, and upset we wouldn't have her ring for the wedding and photos (the insurance company said it usually takes 3-6 months to get a ring replaced). But she literally had people searching for diamonds the night it was stolen, and was giving me frequent text updates throughout the weeks-long sprint to replace it. Somehow, she and her team were able to track down a replacement diamond and band that were better than the original, and a day before I left for the wedding. We're so grateful for Penny and her work around the clock to make this happen. She even got us a great deal on my fiancee's wedding band that final month as well. I would absolutely recommend Penny to anyone! I look forward to working with her on the next one - she has a customer for life.

Penny helped me create my dream ring. I had searched for years, unable to find exactly what I was looking for once my husband and I decided to upgrade our set. One day while shopping downtown last year, I wandered into Kassab on one of their Tacori event days. I had never looked at Tacori rings, but immediately feel in love with their craftsmanship, beauty, attention to detail, and their use of certified conflict free diamonds. I knew I was on the right track with the brand, but still couldn't find the exact ring; it just didn't exist... yet. When I explained what I wanted, I held up two rings. "This top", motioning to one ring, "on this band", motioning to the other, in platinum, with a pink center stone I already have. "We can do that", said Penny enthusiastically and cheerfully - and she delivered! It took a few meetings and adjustments to the digital drawings from Tacori, but eventually the design was perfect and the ring of my dreams was born. (I would HIGHLY suggest anyone creating a custom ring utilize the digital computer designs offered for the extra fee. They were extremely important when communicating with the Tacori team in California). I look at my ring every day and am constantly blown away by the details and beauty of this piece of art I get to wear on my hand. Thank you Penny, Kassab, and Tacori! I am beyond happy.

We spent several months researching, viewing, and contemplating what physical characteristics and aesthetic design elements our engagement ring should possess. While we saw a variety of options at different jewelers, we always felt that we were in some capacity settling; not the way we wanted to describe such an item and such an experience. While our first meeting with Alyssa at the downtown Kassab location did not reveal our ring, we both knew that we had found the right place and the right person to help us complete our journey. Alyssa is knowledgeable, personable, and has an extraordinary ability to listen and understand what her customers want; traits that made our ring purchasing experience not only hassle free, but fun and memorable. From the outset we knew some of our design material choices were going to be atypical. Instead of the traditional diamond stone in a gold or platinum band, we wanted a Moissanite stone in a palladium band. Alyssa was able to walk us through the pros and cons of different materials and combinations. With her help, we found our ring. We had no sense of settling, but rather a sense of excitement as our ring is exactly what we had envisioned from the beginning. Our experience at Kassab has been nothing but wonderful and for that reason we will continue to make Kassab our jeweler of choice.

We were looking for an engagement ring. Kassab had some pretty good reviews online, so we figured to give them a shot. Worked with Sandra at their downtown Portland location. From the onset, Sandra was welcoming and very personable. She knew her stuff and walked us through the various options, without asserting any pressure on us to settle on any particular brand but rather equipping us with all needed info to make an informed decision. And that we did! Eventually settled on a gorgeous Tacori piece along with one wedding band. After a few days of contemplating, we visited the store again to add to the original order. Sandra assisted us in ordering an extra band. Again, the process was so seamless, needless to say, the addition did not push back the original delivery date. About 3weeks later, got the ring with the matching bands, super gorgeous as expected! All paperwork and certs handy! We are happy customers, and this journey couldn't have been wholesome without Sandra's help. Buying an engagement ring can be a fun yet painful process. Thankfully Penny at the downtown Kassab Jewelers was there to ease the pain and made the process more enjoyable. Having a reputation for being extremely picky, I did extensive research to find the exact diamond that fits my long list of requirements and his budget. After months of searching online and talking with Penny, I finally found something I love. Penny helped us negotiate with the seller and got it within our budget. The next step was designing the ring itself. Me and my fiance had an idea in mind but wasn't sure if it will turn into fruition. Penny reassured us that the staff at Kassab will take care of everything. She was right! I sent her a few pictures of what I was looking for and before we know it, she sent back a CAD CAM of my ring. After I gave her the green light, the team was off creating my perfect engagement ring. I couldn't be happier with the result. DANNY at Kassab Jewelers was such a pleasure to work with! My Fiancé and I had been searching for rings for several weeks when we happened upon Kassab. We were very fortunate to be connected with Danny from the get go. We loved his friendly style and his helpful, informative approach. He was attentive and helpful but not in any way pushy.... He was a great combination of knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We did not find the very perfect ring "on the shelf" - but some features from a few different rings and Danny suggested we custom design our ring. Kassab is my new go-to PDX jewelry store! After getting snobby vibes over the years at various downtown jewelers, I went to Kassab to look at wedding bands for me and my fiance. They gave me a great deal on a band that I had fallen in love with. Customer service was consistently top notch, but what they did for my heirloom engagement ring was next level. The ring is over 100 years old and had some shabby restoration work done in the past. I had recently bought jewelry insurance for it, and when I took it in to get re-sized, I found out that it actually needed around $1000 in repairs. Penny worked some kind of magic with the insurance company and got them to pay for 100% of the cost. They got me ring back to me quickly and I am very happy with the work. They are true professionals, without the condescending attitude that I've gotten at other fine jewelers around town. I highly recommend you trust them with your old and new jewelry needs! And, get Jewelers Mutual insurance!

My fiancee and I had been looking for Tacori for several months and had been to several stores on both the east coast where I lived and here in Portland. We found several incredible engagement rings including "the one". After several trips and trying my best to keep some element of surprise as to when and which ring it would finally be, Kevin the Manager at the Washington Square store and Pierre the owner were absolutely outstanding at making it all possible! The helped me in selecting the perfect diamond and went out of their way to arrange for me to pick up the ring without my fiancee's knowledge even though she was with me at the time. Kassab is definitely our jeweler. They are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and make the entire experience fun and enjoyable. I have always known that I would go to Kassab when the time came for me to pop the big question. I have friends who had great experiences with them and the level of craftsmanship in the custom designs. I once met Rana, who is now the President some years back and she was very nice and genuine. Now I can say first hand that all of the superlatives regarding Kassab's service and craftsmanship are well warranted. Michael at the Washington Square location made my experience a breeze. He was able to locate the exact stone I wanted within minutes. He definitely listened to what wanted and provided exceptional service. I let him know of the design I had in mind and their goldsmith did an masterful job in bringing it to life! It absolutely exceeded my expectations. Most importantly, she is absolutely in love with the ring! Thanks again, Michael and all who played a role in making this special moment as perfect as I could ask for.

Absolutely wonderful experience. I am an obsessive compulsive shopper when it comes to expensive/important purchases. I spent 3 weeks driving to different Jewelry stores trying to find the best one. Most stores are owned by one umbrella parent company. This is a family owned business with the sweetest people inside. I showed up and spent 3 hours with one girl while she patiently helped me narrow down the exact ring that I wanted. They have by far the most unique styles and designers. Best selection in town hands down, it's not even close. I've recommended this to friends to coworkers and they've bought from here and also loved it. After you buy, it doesn't stop there, it's been over a year and they still care about my fiance's ring. I wish I could shout out the girl that helped me but she's moved on. Only negative is that it closes so early :/ But I can't take away a star for that.

My fiancé and I were not extremely educated on engagement rings or diamonds but had done enough looking around we knew what we wanted. Penny was extremely helpful and was willing to spend her entire morning with us. Unlike other places we looked at there was no pressure which was nice. Penny is knowledgeable and very honest. I never felt like she was attempting to tell me what I wanted to hear, she always gave it to me straight. After I purchased the ring they rushed delivery to get it to me so I could have the ring in time for my proposal. We will definitely be purchasing our wedding bands from Penny. The experience with her was out of this world and she truly does go the extra mile. For a process I feel like could be very overwhelming Penny does an excellent job taking all that stress out if. Kassab Jewelers is a wonderful store. My favorite movie is Breakfast at Tiffany's. Although this store is not Tiffanys it is Kassab, which in my opinion out does Tiffanys when it comes to customer service. They treat you like you are the most important person in the world. They have the most beautiful store in Downtown Portland where they will take care of you no matter what budget you are on. My husband Rod just worked with Penny and Pierre on designing the most beautiful Sapphire and Diamond Ring. I have looked at all Jewelry stores around and they came up with the most outstanding ring. Taking care in each stone they picked out to make sure I was happy. I am a hard person to please and believe me they did an oustanding job. If you love to shop for beautiful jewlery this is the place to go. Even if you are just window shopping go in and have fun. You will walk out with a smile.

While walking past Kassab one day, I decided to stop in to check out their selection of mens' wedding bands. My husband lost his wedding band in the ocean eight months ago and we were unable to find a good replacement... until I walked into Kassab! Kassab's selection of mens' wedding bands is by far the best we have ever seen. They have many different styles and metals to choose from. Manila was so helpful and patient as my husband tried on rings and asked questions. With so many rings to choose from, it wasn't hard to find one that we both love! While writing up the order, Manila even offered to clean my engagement ring and wedding bands! My husband's ring came in so quickly- about a week or two earlier than expected. I'm so happy to have my husband wear a wedding band again. I'm also so excited to have found our new go-to jewelry store! A huge thank you to Manila and Kassab!

They have beautiful engagement rings. I would highly recommend everyone who is planning to buy an engagement ring or wedding band to visit this jewelers. Penny is the shop manager and she personally expained me about all diamond rings. I had told her my budget while I took an appointment and she made sure I get what I want in my budget. The ring was not my size so I ordered it in my size and I really wanted within 2 weeks and I requested Penny to try to get the ring done within 2 weeks and to my surprise she made sure I get it on time with nicely hand engraved (my fiance’s name) which costed me extra 95$ but it was worth it. Penny is such a darling personality, she explained me how to take care of diamond rings when I went to pick up my ring. I am surey going to visit her for cleaning and polishing my ring every 2-3 months which is absolutely free. *Highly recommended shop*

Kassab has my business for good! The drive is SO worth it! My boyfriend and I live in Olympia WA, recently we went in to Kassab at Washington Square to look at their Tacori collection. I had already been to other jewelers in WA that carry Tacori, and well they were very rude and would try to sell me diamonds WAY out of price range. So we made the 2.5hr drive. We were promptly greeted by Michael. He was so helpful and patient with us (we were in there for almost 4hrs with our 4yr old son too!) He got a feel for the style I was looking for and showed us hundreds of rings from all the collections they carry. He understood our budget and didn’t try to push anything on us. Michael was even able to offer us a bigger diamond at a great price! We are now proud owners of the most perfect and beautiful Tacori ring, because of Michael and Kassab Jewelers! Thank you so much!

My fiance and I both had an amazing experience working with Kassab and more specifically, Penny. She was extremely helpful when helping my fiance pick out the ring, which I ended up loving. They were also very helpful when I came into town to get it re-sized. I have heard all these horror stories of people waiting weeks to get their rings re-sized and they re-sized mine in two hours. What truly made me realize how awesome they are, is when I bent one of the prongs on my ring. I don't live near Portland, so I had to mail the ring in, which really freaked me out. They walked me through the whole process over the phone, how to mail it, etc. I sent the ring in on a Tuesday afternoon (they called to confirm they had received it) and I got the ring back before noon on Thursday! My fiance and I would both recommend Kassab Jewelers and Penny to everyone!

As a result, Manila was able to quickly and efficiently obtain several different diamonds and settings that met my criteria so the use of my time was spent effectively. By the time I brought my fiance` to be into the store to view the selections the choice was easy thanks to Manila's expertise in pulling together the right selection from which to choose at the right price! We are extremely happy with Kassab Jeweler' s quality and especially with the superb customer service provided by Manila! I highly recommend her!

5 Stars does not even come close to enough to explain how awesome my experience with Rana Kassab at Kassab Jewelers was. I was referred from my cousin who did all of his shopping from living in Virginia at the time. With myself being located in Seattle, I felt comfortable going forward with ring shopping from a distance. Rana made this experience so easy. I told her what I was looking for and she bent over backwards to find it for me. Emails with countless numbers of pictures, and I am not talking just online pictures. She would take pictures of the ring on her own hand to show me more detail on how it would look like. We found an awesome ring in my budget that she shipped Overnight to a FedEx location near me. Overall, I would suggest that any one in the Northwest doing some ring shopping give Rana a call.

In November I began searching for the perfect ring to surprise my girlfriend. I found Kassab Jewelers on a designer’s website after many failed attempts in other stores. Sandra greeted me at the Washington Square store and was very eager to help find the exact ring I was looking for. She spent a lot of time narrowing down choices, going back and forth between designs to deal with my indecisiveness. We arranged multiple meetings in store and continued to narrow down exactly what I wanted through emails and phone calls. Sandra was very patient and made the entire process very easy. My surprise was a complete success and my girlfriend loved everything about the Tacori ring I chose. I know I couldn't have found a ring so perfect without the assistance of Sandra and the rest of the Kassab staff. Thank you!

I cannot express how great Kassab Jewelers made mine and my now Fiance's experience when he bought a ring from them in March! Kevin was amazing with us and did not once make us feel pressured into buying something we could not afford. He was helpful and not pushy like a lot of other jewelers. We spent a few months going back and forth with other jewelers and they were never able to give us what we wanted without making the price going thousands over the budget or making the ring different and expecting us to be happy. Kevin was able to hear us out and figured out a way to give us exactly what we wanted in a budget we could handle. The rest of the staff were great in the process as well and I have never walked out of a jewelry store more happy than I did that day with a more beautiful ring!

After my fiance proposed to me with a Tacori ring that he got from Kassabs, it was time for me to go in to get his band. He wanted to get a Tacori band that had similar detailing to mine so that our rings would have something unique in common. He already knew which band he wanted, but he wanted to customize some of the detail work on the side of the ring. We went in and told Manila exactly what we wanted. She worked with Tacori and got me a reasonable quote to have the ring custom made the way he wanted it. When I gave it to him he was very happy. Unfortunately the ring was a tad too small, Manila expedited the ring back to Tacori to have it resized. Thanks Manila for making our experiences at your store so amazing. I have never experienced customer service like this anywhere else.

We LOVE our RINGS!!! What a great atmosphere; every time when I stop by to shine my rings - feels like home! :) My husband and I are the costumers of Kassab and we are pleased we found the place where meets our desires. We absolutely loved the experience at Kassab Jewelers in Portland area and always will! When my husband was on the seek for the engagement ring for his loved one, he needed to find the right one. I'm so thankful to Kelly who spent time assisting my husband very carefully. I went to Kassabs to look for a Tacori engagement ring for my soon to be fiancé. I was graciously greeted by Manila and Pierre. They spent time going over all my options, and helped me choose a center stone for the ring. I really feel like I was their first priority. Manila put up with me constantly texting her asking questions that I had forgotten to ask when I was in the store and gave me updates on my ring when it was still being made by Tacori. When I went to pick up the ring, I was very surprised to see the Pierre had actually found a better diamond to put in the ring from the one we had originally decided on. This was a very pleasant surprise and it shows how much the folks at Kassab’s care about making their customers happy.

Kassab was AWESOME. Mike did a phenomenal job working with us. He did a great job teaching us a little about what to look for in diamond quality and the like, and set straight some misconceptions we had. He did an EXCELLENT job working within our budget, and was really attentive to what we wanted. He found several great options, and we were able to choose exactly what we wanted. We ended up buying (all custom) an engagement ring and two wedding rings through Mike, and we couldn’t be happier. Mike did a great job keeping us in the loop as the rings were made (which was quite fast) and he sorted out a small issue on one ring without any hassle. I can’t recommend Kassab enough! We highly encourage checking them out.

The very best thing about Kassab Jewelers on SW Broadway is Alyssa DeHaan Moser! I had a particular design in mind for my engagement and wedding set, so it had to be custom made. I was so fortunate to have Alyssa Moser help me get just what I wanted. She seemed to be tuned in to my idea, and knew exactly how it should be done. She oversaw the design from conception to completion, working directly with the craftsman, so that it was perfect. Alyssa took such good care of me! I am wearing the gorgeous ring of my dreams because she was able to make sure I got just what I wanted. The price was right, too! Alyssa, thank you, you are wonderful and Kassab is fortunate to have you representing their beautiful jewelry.

No pressure. No pushing. During our time at Kassab, we were made to feel welcomed, celebrated and honored form start to finish. When my fiancé and I decided to go look at engagement rings, neither one of us knew much about rings, or what to expect. Penny at Kassab was quick to listen to what details we liked, and walked with us through the whole store to help us find the right fit. Penny made our experience shopping for engagement rings a truly FUN process. We have popped back in the store several times to say hello and Penny remembers us by name and greets us with nothing but joy. We would highly suggest putting Kassab on your list of places to visit if you're shopping for engagement and wedding rings.

This was my second diamond purchase from Kassab and I can't say enough about what a pleasure it was working with Manila. I was really set on getting my diamond for my wedding ring from Kassab since I was treated so well by Pierre on my last diamond purchase. We were vacationing in Cannon Beach this year and drove into Portland to look at engagement rings to take advantage of Oregon not having a sales tax. We looked at the online jewelers and visited 4 stores in Portland. We arrived at noon, so we had 5 1/2 hours to make a decision. We chose Kassab for the purchase. We purchased our wedding bands from Kassab for our Aug. 2010 wedding. We bought them well in advance of the wedding, and had my husband's band sized once we received it (he has very thin fingers). After we got married and he was wearing the ring, we realized we didn't quite have the size right, and Pierre and Rana took care of us right away. Every time we handed over the ring for sizing, it was ready for pick up sooner than they told us, and we were very happy with the results. I always love stopping by the shop and saying hello, such a friendly family, and we'll always return for future jewelry purchases. Can't go wrong!!

Penny was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and she made me feel so at ease. My ring band had cracked after a year from a different jeweler and she immediately identified why and assured me their technology was superior. She also gave me her cell # and told me I could text her at any time. They told me 2 weeks and I asked them to rush and get it done in 1 week, because I wanted it back for my bridal shower and they totally delivered! I just got my ring back and it looks amazing, the band looks sturdier and it fits better! Recommend these folks. Hands down! They also cleaned my ring so it’s all sparkly again!

Got a ring about six months ago. The staff and everyone was very friendly, professional, and helpful in me getting my engagement ring from them. They helped me size it appropriately beyond just having another ring to compare it and without the person being there. I am so happy and it was well worth the two hour drive just to get service from Kassab. I will happily recommend them to anyone who asks my opinion. They are not pushy in trying to upsell or give me something I don't need and are respectful of helping regardless if you spend $500 or $100,000. Loved the service, loved the ring, loved the quality!

I am so happy with the beautiful ring that Manila at Kassab jewelers helped us pick out.. I've wanted to upgrade my wedding ring to something more modern, less 80's, for a number of years. Danny Kassab is amazing! I was told my ring would be ready for pick up by the 10th. When I called to check the status, I was told it would be another week and a half. I went into full panic mode, as my engagement pictures are the 14th. Danny immediately took on the situation and worked so hard to fulfill our order in 2 days, staying after hours today to get the ring done before our pictures tomorrow. Penny recently helped me to create a pair of custom earrings from stones that I had from two separate pieces of heirloom jewelry. I explained what I wanted, she researched and ordered the pieces to make the earrings as I specified, and the in-house jewelers made them in one day.
