Kate food is a store that’s for various Asian spices and food. It’s located near the Seven Hills train station and there’s usually street parking opposite the store. A must if you go here is to try some of the Sri Lankan food - freshly made snacks / short eats such as patties, seeni sambol bun, pol sambol bun, rolls etc. They also have great Lamprais which can be found in the same area. They also sell string hoppers, pol sambol and some other Sri Lankan food. The store also has various jars of curry pastes, spices and other food such as frozen rotti. What I’m not impressed with is that they sell items that are expired at a discounted rate. If items are expired they should not be sold! I’ve given a rating of 4 because of the fresh food otherwise I’d rate them low for selling expired products

Good place to find Sri Lankan food (string hoppers, lump rice, short eats ...) and groceries. Parking is available on the street in front or at the nearby parking area. Make sure to check the expiry date before buying as I found some expired items on sale.

The place to go if you want to buy authentic grocery items from Sri Lanka, such as chutneys, pickles, sauces, curry mixes, spices, etc. They also sell tasty "short-eats" (Sri Lankan term for snacks like Chinese Rolls, Patties and Cutlets).

Tasty Sri Lankan street food..Lamprais is one of the best.. Price wise expensive compared to other places around.. I have seen many times they selling items after "best before" date. So something to look when you buy items from this place

This is my favourite Indian-&-related grocery shop. It has Indian, Pakistani, South African, Mauritian, and other nationality groceries, and also sells hot food. I come here to get items I can't always get elsewhere.

Maithree and his staff provide a friendly and very efficient service. For all items Sri Lankan from fresh to packaged you can't beat this place. Family run business that has been around for a very long time.

Never shopping here again as a loyal customer I felt disrespected by the lady who followed me around as I was shopping..There are many shops which sell the same things I get I'll take my money elsewhere

A one stop shop to buy all Sri Lankan and Indian spices, condiments, relishes, pulses rice etc. Prices are reasonable and in addition you can treat yourself to some freshly made ethnic snacks too.

Lovely ppl. Bought food today n we were a bit late and the owner stayed without closing until we came. A business needs to deliver value to other humans n I feel this was a good example of that!

Lot of Sri Lankan groceries are here. Price may be a wee bit more compared to Udaya in Wentworthville. But I prefer going here as I find most of my preferred stuff here

The worst place to buy your Sri Lankan groceries. Please check the dockets as he charges for items which you don't purchase and also expiry on meat products.

Great place for Indian, Pakistani and Sri Lankan groceries. Great prices also. My favourite local store. Also the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Always go there for our Srilankan groceries. My 2 boys love their lamb rolls and I always get a packet of string hoppers. Recommend.
