When our Mortgage Broker found out that we didn’t have a realtor yet, she referred us to Kelly. Initially I was hesitant with the fact that we didn’t know how she works. It was definitely crunch time and trying to just tick the “look for realtor” off our checklist, we decided to go with the brokers’ referral. Kelly started the process with the kick-off call (introduction, process, expectations, all the other usual stuff). She narrated the Consumer Relationship Guide to us and although I was listening intently, at the back of my mind, I was like “she’s just obliged to read this (which is still good) for compliance”. Every home buyer of course would want to work with someone honest, genuine and dedicated to their work/ commitment but because of little knowledge, I kinda lowered my expectations while trying to stay informed. Kelly however, lived to every word she described (of what the Realtor’s responsibilities are) and anything you can look up to when you google what a realtor does. When we even had questions which weren’t for her, she would ensure to relay them to the right individuals (broker, inspector, lawyer, etc.) and take note, SHE FOLLOWS UP promptly to ensure we got the answers we needed. She knew what our targets were but never did she rush us to make any decisions. We had this app that we can easily check listings and information but she would always go the extra mile to reach out to us when she finds anything within our shared ‘home ideals’. The ONLY times that she’d be very particular with the time and action items were when we needed to meet some agreed dates with the seller which is to our advantage so we don’t scramble at the last minute. Kelly communicates clearly (written and verbal) and just enough to make us feel that the purchase wasn’t just another sale/ commission for her. It is after all an important investment that every buyer just needs to take some time to think and decide. I am somewhat meticulous with dates, planning and organization of the things to accomplish and Kelly made sure we had everything in one binder so we don’t have to scout into different places/ references whenever we needed something. The binder she gave us, definitely was a good source of information and a useful guide. To add, when she made the draft for the contract for us to review, she added constraints which were important to include but didn’t even reach our somewhat stressed brain cells that time. We also had asked her for some recommendations for inspectors and some Lawyers. She provided us a list but never pressured us to choose ‘just w/in the list of names she gave’. She was all these and more to us. A bonus? You would never feel that she’s just ‘another realtor’. She exerts genuine efforts to know her buyers and make you feel at ease and comfortable to ASK ANYTHING! How I felt the sincerity? Well, she’s either has a very good memory or simply genuine, but she remembers all your shared personal details that would help the process and the professional/ personal conversations, easier & lighter. After we finally got to the possession date, she told us that we still can reach out to her for any questions we may have. I tried not to bother her esp. if I can search or just read for some answers (esp. generic ones) but I was surprised one day (a little less than a month after possession date), she came by the house to drop some documents that we no longer expected but another useful ‘one stop source’. Decided to create this testimony since we obviously are beyond satisfied as first-time home buyers with the quality of services that we experienced with Kelly as our realtor. Hopefully, in our own lil way, this can help her (not just to gain more clients but for her to continually do what she does best) and for others who are about to purchase/ sell a home and are looking for some realtor reviews. A commendation that I didn’t easily find during our time BUT still grateful because we’re blessed to be led/ guided towards her! We definitely RECOMMEND KELLY as the Real Estate Agent that you should get. ☺️

We bought our first house in Canada with Kelly Phillips. Was a first-time home (condo) buyer with no prior knowledge on the process.
