We can't praise this place and in particular the staff enough, they were helpful, cheerful, thoughtful and efficient in all our dealings with them. We have used this location for over 20 years and have had nothing but good experiences with them. In the last few months we have had to move our storage unit as we needed a bigger one and Don was a legend. He was thoughtful about the units he suggested to us, took the time to listen to what we needed and how we could achieve that within our budget. With every visit he was welcoming, cheerful and answered every question we had. He made sure to highlight anything that would make our job of moving easier. We never felt pressured or taken advantage of in our dealings which is a big reason we stay with this location. As we don't live nearby we could have gone to any of the locations but we stick with this one because we have had only good interactions. The thing that sums this place up is good old fashioned customer service. To a level that’s surprisingly rare. They were there to provide a service, and get paid for it. They weren’t, like so many businesses, trying to extract every dollar out of me. In fact, they were trying to save me money. They were flexible with how much space I rented, so that I didn’t have to get the larger storage unless I needed it on the day. They were flexible with dates - I cancelled on the date I was moving out and got a full refund for the days not used. They are friendly, helpful, provide refunds on unused boxes, and buy back used boxes. I would heartily recommend Kennards North Melbourne to anyone who wants a hassle-free experience.

Kennards self storage North Melbourne is a great addition to our business. It is very close to a Melbourne CBD, so that location provides great flexibility for us to run the business in there. The storage facility is well established and moving tools are well prepared, and things there are just very thoughtful for storage needs. Unfortunately I had some issues in the past few months and it impacted me by not being able to keep up with my payments...this meant that the contence of my unit was at sever risk of being sold and due to the amount of days I was overdue . My daughter and I were looking for a storage space so we paid a visit and met Don . He explained the procedure to us and advised on the size . We gave a call a few days later and he invited us to come by and have a look at the spaces . Diane took us to look at the various sizes available and she was truly wonderful and friendly . She didn't rush and we were able to choose a unit. Its our our first time at this but we are so happy to have met them both and feel very assured that we are in good hands.

GREAT SERVICE, GOOD RANGE OF STORAGE OPTIONS Kennards is a well-known provider of storage across Melbourne and all the outlets I've used have had good service. this one in Capel St North Melbourne (right next to Queen Vic Market) continues that trend with friendly faces and a well maintained shop. People with mobility issues will be fine accessing the office at the fron tof the outlet. Parking on the street canm be pretty ferocious on days that the market is open.

Don you legend! Don went extremely out of his way to help me in an urgent situation with a large couch that wouldn't fit in my home. At the last minute he managed to store it for me and even stayed back to ensure it was stored safe. Honestly your help this week has saved me. I now know which storage place to use next year when I go away for 3 months. I cannot recommend North Melbourne enough! Thanks again Don.

My husband and I purchased supplies from the manager Don today and have nothing but positive things to say about the experience. We entered not being entirely sure what we needed to pack for an overseas move but with Don's assistance we left with all the things we needed. Don also made us aware of good quality second hand boxes available for purchus and the standard saving on buying 10 boxes at a time.

Staff here have always been exceptionally friendly and helpful. Today Don the new Manager kindly offered to carry some of my goods out to my car as I am currently struggling on crutches. Have used the locker here for a while and recently switched to the larger closet. The sign up process as new customer or switching between storage size has been very smooth and promptly done. Manager is very helpful and friendly and gave detailed instructions on access. Also delivered my parcels here a couple of times and received promptly sms notification when my package arrived.

Incredible service. I went to close my storage unit as I’m moving interstate and they didn’t need notice and even refunded me the days I had already paid for. The manager was fantastic ( I believe he said he was new) and really helped me work out what packaging equipment I needed, such a brilliant experience! I don't know what to say to the branch here. I tried to return the purchases I made during the quarantine with this company. However, they lost my two different return packages. It's not a joke. Because of this company, I couldn't get one refund even though it was 45-50 days and the other 40 days. I definitely don't plan to work again.

Called and got a very helpful explanation about purchasing new and used boxes, including returning unused boxes and selling back used ones. Placed a click-and-collect order online and received a prompt phone call when my order was ready. They were very helpful in loading my car when I picked up. Happy to give them my business again!
