I love Kingston City Hall. I have been coming here for years and years - literally as when I was a kid my primary school did a concert here! But more recently have been to comedy shows (Arj Barker, Jimeon, Stephen K. Amos, Bob Franklin, Dolly Diamond and more) and concerts (Scott Carne and friends doing Queen), Symphony Orchestra (doing John Williams music) and even my old primary school's school spectacular! So something for everyone. Easy to get to too, if you can't walk here, then carpark is available, and it's right next to Moorabbin train station. Look out for the old clock on what used to be the Moirabbin Town Hall but is now Kingston City Hall. Or what Arj Barker jokingly called Moor-a-bin! (Note I did a review over 2 years ago but it disappeared so have done again, sorry to all the people who read original, here's a new old one!).
We paid decent money to see the show which I won't name as I am sure my issue is not with him. The chairs provided were very uncomfortable and very close together that adults who saw this show could hardly sit on them as they were more suited for children. I won't be going to see another show here as there is no thought for the people, only money taken by the hall. Maybe the show should look into this as well, and think about its fans, but I believe the hall taking the money needs to think about people sitting for over an hour when placing seats.
People here need to learn manners on how to speak. Specially the security needs to be trained on how to speak with people. Sooo rude and never recommend this centre to anyone. No fixed chairs and chairs are too small , get ready to share the weight of the people sitting beside you. Also, please remember , DO NOT move your seats a little else security will jump in and will start threatening you and will try to showcase their power.
Attended our first show at the new premises of The Flying Saucer Club and were very happy with the venue. Staff were friendly and helpful. The toilets were very clean and modern and the whole place had a terrific vibe. No huge queues at the bar was a bonus. Easy parking underneath meant we were able to get to our car quickly after the event. Will definitely return for future concerts... Highly recommended.
I had to leave halfway through the show as the seats were not only very uncomfortable, they were so close together that anyone going past to the loo or getting a drink trod on my feet. The 2 blokes in front of me and my friend were at least 6.4 and we couldn't even see the show properly. All in all a very disappointing night and waste of good hard earned money.
This is a small cafe located on the ground floor foyer area of the refurbished Kingston City Hall. The cafe serves both hot and cold drinks as well as basic food items and snacks. There's bench seating in the area directly in front of the cafe as well as seating in the Hall's foyer area. The coffee andservice are good.
Saw Ahn Do. Such an amazing man. Loved every minute. The only thing I would change, are the seats. I have a permanent spinal injury, so comfort is important. The chairs were small, with maybe less than an inch of padding. By the time the show finished I was in a lot of pain.
Attended a pop up music event here on a Friday evening. It was held in the car park and was well organised- staff were helpful, plenty of seating. Only thing that would have made it better was there could have been a few more food trucks to choose from.
The venue was spacious, the seating was flimsy and jammed too close, the numbering system failed. The four people in front of us all had the same seat numbers, which was discovered as the show was about to begin.
There were chairs to seat that I can not remember when was the last time I saw one of them anywhere, not comfortable at all! The sound was good, Dear Andy was amazing like always. Staff were nice and friendly.
A complex that can be hired for various events like conferences, workshops, presentations. Consists of Grand Hall, Banquet Room and 2 x Meeting Rooms. Conveniently located closed to Moorabin Railway Station.
This place is really nice and we have been hosting our program last three years. So far we have got no issues except car park. You have to park the car down the road or other side of the road.
I've been performing in this venue for about 4 decades now. The acoustic setup is much better than it used to be. The backstage lift is an old friend. I think the audience likes the venue too.
The front is currently under construction. If youre in the mood for watching a young solid 10/10 sex symbol of a man, this is the place to be. I also have a fantastic personality. Xoxo
Kingston City Hall is much improved after the renovations. Is a pity everything from the Cafe is sold in disposable cups or in single use bags. Not very environmentally aware.
Good place to arrange functions of large gatherings upto 500 to 700 people. Venue has less parking but since its near to station so you can have ample near to the venue.
Went there to attend my son in law's citizenship ceremony.. Very nice to see big beaurocrat like mayor mps and area Councellers.. Down to earth and very humble.. …
Watched the Arnold pre eliminations, easy to get to with close by public transport, small onsite cafe, plenty close by eating options but not many open on a Saturday
I went to wellness presentation in meeting room. There's a bar on second floor with a band every so often. Big hall as well. There's the arts centre next door.
It fulfils both key aspects of its purpose by being both a hall and in a town. And as an added bonus, insane fallout googie style lights in the auditorium.
attended a beaut organ recital yesterday. the organist was terrific as were the Maroo dah singers who were guest artists. full marks to all who organised
Good facility for events. Not the most modern posh thing but everything is there you will need for an event. Should be better signage to find it!
Large theatre with good acoustics, and many different rooms for multiple purposes. Very accommodating and perfect for concerts or events.
Been there twice for my Citizenship Ceremony which was very well organised and welcoming. Second time at an expo which was great.
As a member of Melbourne Theatre Organ I attended their Christmas Dinner and a wonderful concert on the Wurlitzer theatre organ.
Awesome quality music venue. Superb accoustics. Top artists. Very comfortable with excellent dining too Highly recommended.
Kingston provides opportunities for important but often marginal community groups - like the Wood Turners we went to see.
Parking is a nightmare but right on top of a train station. Useful place to rent out but it's looking old and tired.
I came here for the Business of Food Expo, it was a great space with all the needed facilities for a successful day!
Port Philip Council Service Centre and function space. Good option for medium size function at reasonable price.
Nice function area, centralised location, next to Moorabbin Railway station and plenty of space to host events.
Have my first graduation ceremony here still looks the same. I believe it would be amazing with some TLC.
Quite a big hall, big kitchen. Good enough to accommodate 300-400 people. Parking could be a challenge
Nice building though not enough parking provided when I was there. Easy to find and access otherwise.
Great venue. But flat hall means you need to stagger the seating so peopple can see the stage. DUH!
Attended the Victoria state championship IFBB small venue to watch the event, visually restricted
Great event, but new rule of no wax on floor made our dancing event very slippery and dangerous.
Mental Health Gala multicultural dinner. Great to support this fund raising and get together.
Been to several public and private events here. Great facilities, staff diligent and helpful
Great venue, toilets are always super clean. The staff there are so friendly and helpful
Concert excellent. Hall freezing. Heating broken. Engineer failed to turn up to fix it
Nice place to host an event.. Lot of space and facilities.. Parking is hard to get..
Great venue with excellent acoustics and good size stage for showcase performances.
The function room of level 3 was a nice inviting space for a course that i attended
Gorgeous venue, absolutely spectacular event, organised and managed to perfection
Hall and facility is excellent. Not enough parking spaces available for the hall
Good hall, great setup though their food / drinks service wasn't that great.
Great place to host our school play. Deco type design inside. Lovely venue.
Right next to the train station but otherwise parking is a big issue here.
Saw Ross noble here. Really is just a big room but drinks were good price
Been there in a school ceremoy. Big auditorium. Chairs need refurbishing.
A cool place but parking is a serious point of concerns for the visitors
I attended the MOJO Jazzeoke evening which was a really enjoyable night
Great parking for a comedy night, nice joint. Pity about the show.
Great venue. Some people there complained about the sound quality
Loved this Town hall and the staff is very helpful …
Trash, write exams here Nightmares were given due to this garbage
Saw an Amy Winehouse tribute act. Venue was good as was the show
Parking is so limited and it's a challenge every possible time.
Its spacious and welcoming environment. Easy to find parking.
Excellent for any crowded events... great customer service.
Best place to have your event. Friendly professional staff
GREAT PLACE EVERYONE THERE ARE SWEETHEARTS …
Still lacking carpark spots for Patrons size of main hall
Parking is a nightmare. Apart from that it's pretty good
So bad I could'nt believe it. Waste of rate payers money
I did not expect such a nice venue at a city council.
Went for Australian citizenship ceremony. Really nice
Great venue, conveniently located for various events
It's very old style theatre and no parking around it
Love the stage here. Great for dance performances.
I totally LOVED the toilets. Visit just for this!
Been here for my daughter performance. Excellent
Excellent location to host events and parties.
Big community venue, lots of different spaces
Good venue, perhaps a little dated and tired.
Nice community hall for medium-sized events.
Facility basic but loved the fashion market.
Very easy access with trains as well as cars
Memorablr memories attached to this place.
Great venue for a variety of productions.
Great venue! All the amenities you need.
Great place for Citizenship ceremonies.

Hall room has less facility but good
Great facilities for big functions,
Has a stage for school performances
Sound leaves a lot to be desired
Cool place for community concert
It needs renovating. Bulldozing.
Good for entertainment purposes
Good venue for musical program
Good location and arrangements
Need some more parking space
