This place is really nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful but damn is it overpriced. I don't mean overpriced as in they carry expensive stuff, which they do, and I like nice things, but everything is marked up 20-30% over MSRP. I was looking at a lodge cast iron griddle which they had priced at $80, you can get the same one from roses restaurant supply and several local hardware stores for $60. The pricing is the main reason for the 2 stars so take this next part with a grain of salt as I am rather utilitarian about my kitchen and dining stuff: the selection is not that great, they're missing lots of basic items and instead have too wide a variety of decorative and gimicky items. If you want actual kitchen tools go to a restaurant supply store.

There should have been better communication with customer service about product returns. They need to verbally say out loud that they are not taking merchandise back because of COVID. I told the person at the cash register that I want to keep my receipt in case it doesn’t satisfy me and she stuck it in the box for me. I literally was not satisfied with the product took it back and was refused. I am totally not about money at all. I am about communication and transparency. Speak the expectations when someone purchases an item during this time. Another thing, I understand why KK has the guidelines but share that openly when the purchase occurs. Sorry for the unfortunate times.

Prices are a little high for this local boutique store, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a wider selection of all things kitchen and kitchen supplies. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and willing to talk through your needs to make sure you have the right solution. This would make a great spot for a wedding registry. Check out the sponge collection. No joke it's pretty ridiculous. Don't forget to go upstairs for furniture and other goods. Lots of other shops nearby make Kitchen Kaboodle a great part of a home goods shopping trip. Parking in the rear is free if you're a customer, just don't take an apartment spot.

It could have been helpful to be told of the 50% items on sale at the front of the store. I bought some items inside the store higher price, not on sale, that are the same to the ones on the table at 50.00 %, but I only got aware of this table at the end when I had to go. No one came to me to ask if I needed any info., assistance. I had to look for those who work in the store and asked about certain items. I encourage better customer service, engage with customers, show appreciation for them being in your store. At the end, It is about people, not things!!!!

Bad, bad, bad. A repeat of a bad experience a year ago when my wife and I went to the store to buy a coffee maker. We were 'assisted' by a lay-about jackoff and left the store empty handed. Today was a repeat. The 'assistant' had to have the last word, which was 'you're an idiot, but I'll tend to your problem anyway.' Why would people with such lousy social skills and with such a huge chip on their shoulder want to be working with the public? I like the merchandise in the store, and much of the staff is friendly and well informed, but I won't return, ever.

This place is epic! Yesterday I stopped in and was very soon asked if I wanted any help. I absolutely did, having hoped for some advice in choosing the best products to make my morning coffee at home exactly the way I love it. Niko helped me out, friendly, focused, listening to my needs rather than just recommending a favorite product of his own. I bought the coffee devices we decided were my best choice, and this morning I made an absolutely fantastic coffee drink. It was so smooth and easy with the right tools! :-)

Love this kitchen & dining shop! Been going here for 15 years. They carry products that are fun, useful, quality, sustainable & often tiny home friendly. I bought my first ever adult cookware set from here..I have been using it every day the last 15 years and it is still going strong. Best decision I ever made. I also have purchased random tools like thermometers, egg poachers, spoons, etc and all have lasted the test of time (and use!) I highly recommend Kitchen Kaboodle especially for the advanced every day cook!

Went in for a quick stop to pick up a couple things, and got accused of being a thief. They wouldn't let me take my inexpensive item to the counter myself because "They've been experiencing a lot of theft lately". Meanwhile, there are other people carrying more expensive items around without getting hassled at all. I guess unless you're a middle aged white women named Karen they think you're a thief. It was humiliating and embarrassing.

  • Kip Hartley

I am vaccinated etc. I forgot a mask and a worker offered me one. But then I watched her touching her face counter money etc then reaching in the box. I accepted reluctantly as I was about to put all of those germs right in my face... I kinda faked it and tried to avoid so I could leave. She told me again. I didn't want to say hey I'm fine with whatever but you are very unsanitary. So I froze. Left store. Won't return.

One of the few places left in NE Portland where you can buy quality household items. Prices range from moderate to expensive depending on your budget. Staff is friendly and knowable of their products and can bring an item from another of their stores, if it's available saving you a trip to another part of town. Which is what they did for me on my last visit.

  • Jonathan Hart

Perfect example of what a brick and mortar store should be and why we need them. The amount of different items this store carries is awesome. Knives, place settings, cookware and gadgets are just a few of the things available. They also have an upstairs that has amazing furniture. I highly recommend this store for most any of your kitchen needs.

  • T Fellini

Gotta say, first time there I was kinda underwhelmed. I was looking for a local alternative to Sur La Table. They have an incredible selection of La Creuset cookware as well as lots of plate sets and such. I suppose if you were looking for a nice wedding gift, come here. If you're looking to nerd out on kitchen gadgets, maybe look elsewhere.

  • Samantha Whiterspoon

Came here to buy my Kitchen Aid and I was FLOORED by the help here. Educated, informed, and helpful. But not on commission? It seems like the people are here to help you based on the love of kitchen wares!! The prices are comparable to just about any major retailer, but considerably lower than places like Williams & Sonoma.

  • Justin Kennedy

Very friendly customer service. Employe asked me almost immediately if they could help me find something, and she immediately went and grabbed it for me. We needed a new cherry pitter for work @Lucca, the had exactly what we needed. Got lucky it was the last one they had in stocks at the time. Thanks y'all ! …

  • Matt Bayer

The staff here were extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind. We have been looking for a sofa and unexpectedly stumbled onto the fact that Kitchen Kaboodle sells them! Dan Baker was able to answer all of our questions and gave great advice. We will definitely be coming back more often.

  • Laura Mulshine

I had a great experience here. I bought knives and am no kitchen buff. The staff member who helped me made it very easy. He said he was fairly new but had some on the job training. Love that they are teaching their staff. It really shows. He was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

  • Zak M

The knowledgeable staff provided great advice and helped pick out the supplies needed for my first successful cheesecake. They also have a good selection of gadgets across various price ranges and feature sets. I'll be going back in the future for their great selection of spice jars.

  • Laurie Shentalevenn

Always good when your shopping housewares. They also feature furniture but I've never needed any firm there, however would be worth it to take a look. Excellent for every type of kitchen tool or storage imaginable. Excellent high quality knives, dinnerware, and seasonal decorations.

  • Kim Kasch

Wonderful kitchen wares and baking goods. High quality products arranged in a pleasant way and great service. I went in to buy a cookie cutter and the salesclerk went over and searched the products until he found just what I was looking for! Kudos to him for being so helpful :D

  • J

Amazing selection if not a bit overpriced at times. (I am embarrassed how much I spend when I go here.) quality kitchen items for which I have never been disappointed by any products that I’ve bought. Don’t forget to check out upstairs where it is more home goods!

  • Melissa Dailey

Fabulous selection of cooking utensils, pans, bakeware, and fun/colorful accessories. The service was friendly and helpful - with an extra large plus that Kitchen Kaboodle is a local business. Support local by shopping for your holiday gifts at Kitchen Kaboodle!

  • Davia Fleming

So this location (although has sketchy activity across the street) is actually pretty great. The people are nice and helpful. The selection is pretty good for its size. They have the soda stream exchange service here as well as Portland Syrup which is delicious.

  • Ekaterina Beliakova

Smaller space, not a diverse selection of certain type of products within the price range. Home furnishing section is not adequately staffed. Looks like the solid business could you some upgrade to their merchandising & personnel training - to stay competitive.

  • Corvin Blacke

We bought a kitchen knife. I can't say it was the most thrilling experience in my life. The staff was nice, professional. It's a kitchen gadget store for trendy people, and I'm not trendy so I don't really shop there. IMO they are too expensive anyway.

  • Jim Couch

Second time we have tried to buy a small appliance here and they are out of stock. Sales lady tried to steer us to another item with negative talk about our first choice (that they do sell!) A very negative experience, we are unlikely to return.

  • Eric Ernstsen

What a fun store! Anything you could dream of needing in your home kitchen is in this store. From coffee pots and tea kettles to cast-iron and cookie cutters. Unfortunately the knife selection, while made up of some amazing brands, is all

  • Homestead Lee

I love this store. Good quility kitchen ware and much more. I just picked up an apron, a butcher block/large cutting board, a Le Creuset dutch oven in Artichoke. The $420 dollar one. I picked up the Le Creuset spatulas and a tea kettle. I

  • Bill

There in Portland so it's expected for them to be a little expensive the reason why I'm giving them a 5-star rating is because they have obscure stuff you can't find anywhere else unless you want to buy it online so it can be a lifesaver

  • s ocarr

I always check with Kitchen Kaboodle for all of my specialty kitchen needs. I have bought 3 beautiful Shun knives during the knife sale, a Le Creuset dutch oven, a Vitamix blending container and various sundry items.

  • Rebecca Davis

I always find great things for my home and yard the prices are high but you can always find really cool unique things several of the locations have closed I don't know how long this will last enjoy it while you can

  • Daniel Pflieger

Prices are just about right and the staff was very helpful. I worked with Taylor and Taylor was super awesome and helpful, despite my scatterbrain :). I'm coming back next month to get the nice dinner plates.

  • Jenna Bilbrey Pope

Fun store with nice kitchen supplies. My only complaint is that their stickers don’t easily detach from the products. They rip and leave glue residue and so it takes a lot of work to clean items before use.

  • Susan M Kintner

My favorite store. Super staff, local business, stock from basics to top of the line. Patio furniture was assembled by the warehouse staff, super helpful. Often find local things for birthday and visitors.

  • Bryan Smith

Stock was low, but that's shopp8ng before Xmas.... Knowledgeable staff, great selection of products. They keep the number of shoppers low due to Covid, thjs is a nice change from many businesses.

  • Jason Cromer

Amazing kitchen store. It is like a store you find in Europe: very clean, very nice quality goods, and just very cutely decorated. You can tell that things are done with love here.

  • Marti Holder

When I need a unique piece of kitchen utensils I go here. I have bought cooking pans, knives, napkins, Japanese pour over coffee systems plus filters and recently a French press.

  • B S

Kitchen Kaboodle is a great local store. They really take care of their customers and even took a return without a receipt because they were able to look it up in their system.

  • Donna Black

I love kitchen Kaboodle. Great to visit for inspo, cute and classy gifts and their sales are great. Staff is always super friendly. Parking can be a bit of a drag though.

  • Joel Corcoran

Awesome products but -- more importantly -- fantastic staff. Seriously. It's why I keep coming back. Knowledgeable, but never condescending; helpful, but never intrusive.

  • B.D. Bell

Almost anything and everything you could need for kitchen and household use. A local company, with multiple shops in the Portland metro area. Definitely worth a visit.

  • beigesucks

Great location & very friendly & helpful staff. If they don’t know, they’ll find out for you, whatever it is. Dog friendly too. I’m so happy to have them in my hood.

  • Aidan Basquez

Cool little store has a ton of different areas of cooking covered but not covered well. Like say their knives section it is a knife section but there's not a lot.

  • Jim DeMarco

Disappointed. I've shopped here many times, but of the several items I was looking for, they had none. Not one paper towel holder for example. In a kitchen store.

  • Loretta White
