Something needs to be done about the way Trading Card products are sold in this store. Understandably, having them loose on checkout racks resulted in high theft rates, but now that there is absolutely no display for Trading Cards (particularly Pokemon) and that they are all kept behind the checkouts in cardboard boxes, I feel that a lot of suspicious activity is going on with them in relation to staff. Particular products (primarily the $6 blister packs) always say in stock online - currently for the past 2 weeks have stayed “in stock” to green level. Yet each and every time I go in and ask to see what tcg products they have in stock (which in itself is a hugely inconvenient mess having to line up in long checkout lines and then get the attention of a staff member, just to see what is available) I get told that nearly everything is out of stock. On one occasion a staff member jokingly told me that they thought another staff member was buying all the products, which instantly set off alarm bells in my mind. I will often get the reply “oh we had heaps yesterday, but someone came and cleaned them out” - I’m fairly certain I’ve had this excuse used multiple days in a row too. A lot of these Pokémon tcg blister packs are worth considerably more on the secondary market (eg. ebay, facebook marketplace) and I have growing suspicions that staff members are hoarding all these products for themselves or friends, and leaving nothing available to the public on an ongoing basis. I would hope that if this practice is occurring and staff are using these products to make money reselling, it would be something that would be frowned upon by higher management. Kmart really needs to invest in a glass display cabinet for these Pokémon TCG products - they need to actually BE on display to the public. I remember they were briefly available behind the customer service desk at the back of the store, and even this was better as they were actually on display on the back wall. Yet before long they were moved back to boxes hidden behind the wall at the checkouts. Essentially, staff can say whatever they want as no products can be seen. Some may be keeping for themselves, others may just not want to look properly or check. Either way, I felt this issue needs to be brought to the attention of management or Head Office. Other stores have locked glass displays and it works perfectly - many Targets for example. This way product can be on display and theft can be stopped. The current method simply is not working, and I have started to actively avoid the store which is unfortunate. The suspected foul play from staff needs to be addressed or investigated.

Terrible experience from a staff member I guess her name is "Wendy"who was at the counter on 27 January 2021 at 2:35 pm. I have been there for like 2 hours making calls and getting things from one end to other end for some stage deccoration at church. There were no white flat sheets availble other than from the whole set whuch I have no use for. That was for some decorations we planned, so instead I took some curtains(3-4) along with other stuffs I have been shopping from past 2 hours. I wanted to check with one another shop about the sheets before checking it out as that was more appropriate for tge program. So I asked I tried calling a staff who gave me no response and yeah, I thought she was busy, so I waited there. For about 3-4 minutes and then a store-boy passed by and I asked him whether I could this hold this trolly for about 10-15 minutes as I gotta check one more shop before buying the curtains. He siad, yeah man its cool, ask that lady at the counter. And she was busy so I waited again and when she made a contact from far I tried calling her but she turned away, I waited patiently. And then when that guy came back he saw me standing there so he decided to help me by asking her. When he went and asked, she dint even give a look at here which clearly says she saw me standing there for sometime and was avoiding purposefully. She clearly told him "NO"!! He tried convincing her but she was totally saying "NO". I mean saying no is one thing maybe its their code to be kept. But being rude and avoiding a customer is disrespecting. Cuz after all those time I have spend there making lot of calls in between before taking each product, at the end this is where it ends. I left the trolly there and told the guy thanks for trying and left the trolly there and came out. I felt really disrespected. Even if she wanted to say "No" could gave done it a better way. Real bad attitude to a customer, I'm a Masters of Business Administration graduate and I have served customers for some time now. From what I have learned and experienced, this is not at all the way to treat a customer.

Well I love the store and all the staff...... except the old blonde lady Michelle she has been here for years and years she was a nasty rude person then... and now in her older years it is so much worse. I witnessed her arguing with another customer talking down to them, she also basically called me a lier when a toy was on sale for $1 I said there is a sign on the front she cut me off and she said yeah well unless it has a sticker saying $1 they are full price! I said they had a sale sign on she said well must of been some thing else she said well no I said i read the sign I can go take a photo for you she said no a staff member has to see it she was rude and didn't care and made me feel so belittled took the toys and walked off with them. Not to mention I went up and asked chloe for help michelle interupted and said its fine I'll go, then went to deal with some one else who only just needed help instead of us. We had been waiting ages for help. Seriously she is a nasty, rude, old cranky women who shouldn't be working with customers or people she is horrible ive been coming here for years longer then she was working there every time I see her she is angry and rude. But may I say cloe was a delightful staff member and really helpful. But seriously get rid of Michelle or my entire family and I will shop else where

Satisfied, we finally go to the check out (pick and collect) only to be told that we had to go kmart chemside as the order was to their chemside shop. We running with time now so race over to kmart chemside and once again collect items as per purchase order before heading to the checkout counter once again. Few attempts to scan the items that took 15 -20 minutes then we get told apologetic that there was something wrong with the system so we had to leave the items behind to be collected once resolved. My son had to then ring around family members to borrow their work wear just so that he could attend his training the next day. Unfortunately it was a very bad experience with kmart

Then the right size that I was looking for wasn’t at the shelf walk back praying hopefully one willing to help and this time a guy asking for item code from me and checking his device and unsure tone yeah we are pretty much out of stock. you r right ! Happy to drive several of kms next time to find a happy customer service.

I purchased clicked and collect before 12 noon and also contacted the store talked to so rules staff got transferred to store manager (Ben) and got told my stuff is ready collect in 1 hrs. I got to the store and asked the staff to collect my purchased got told it just got canceled. Because no stock in store. I told them I got no phone call from the store to told my ordered got canceled. They said nothing they can do. I asked them when do you think someone should contact me to let me know as I drove 40 mins yo the store. I won’t eve buy anything from Kmart, the bad service from staff and the click and collect system and processing is the not good to advertising.

Kmart no longer has the range of products it used to have and the layout of the store makes many items difficult to find. It's more like an oversized import shop than a department store nowadays. The positioning of the checkouts is ridiculous; I recently saw a queue to get out of the store as the overworked exit monitor waited for a shopper to find a docket that she'd packed away! While the checkout supervisors did a stirling job moving crowds through over Christmas, it did make the centre of the store sound like a fruit market when the fruiterer shouts out to attract customers. At least I can usually get items I can't find at Kmart just down the mall at Big W!

I am a KMART regular...However I was disappointed when I visited this store a short while ago. I know every kmart store is checking receipts at the exit which I have no issue with....However, whats the point of asking the customer to show their receipt if your not going to actually read it?? I was leaving this store, both my hands full..I was 2 feet OUT of the store when the young gentlemen asked if he could see my receipt. I had to put everything down, reach for my receipt for him not to even read it..... I would like Kmart to come up with a better system for their customers. I get the reason behind it all but all it does is frustrate me.

A great way to get exercise is to browse every single aisle of interest at Kmart Chermside before even thinking about making a purchase. You can then revisit anything that's remained on your mind to create a short list, and then return to the relevant areas a third time to grab anything that you've decided you really want or need. Of course, if you're not there to get your steps up, the website is great for perusing and checking stock before stepping foot inside. And of course if you really don't want to browse and you're worried about finding the item in store but don't want to pay a delivery fee, the Click & Collect service is great.

Whenever I visit Kmart Chermside looking for something (happening less) I wonder whose job it was to revamp the stock layout after they decided to move all the checkouts to the Centre of the store. There doesn't appear to be a plan anymore on where items are displayed. It physically pains me to walk another 100+m down to Big W and find what I need within seconds instead of minutes. I can live with the checkout change, but at least have large department hangers to make it easier to find things. May mean clearing away some of the other ceiling clutter. The pricing and range are great; when I can find what I'm looking for.

5 starts for Tom at the front door! He is always so helpful and polite. After searching throughout the store to find an item with no luck I asked the service desk lady who didn't want to help me find it "nope we don't have it", I asked Tom on the way out, he searched and the store was showing 13 in stock. He said if they don't have it he could call aspley to check they do. He called the department and they had it and brought it to the front for for me. Thank you so much Tom for your outstanding customer service.

Went to shop there last Saturday and very disappointed with the young man at the entrance. I went to get a trolley and was looking for a sanitize paper to wipe the trolley handle, then I saw it beside the young man who are just standing there looking on me. He then refused to give me a piece of napkin, when I asked him if I can have one. Unbelievable attitude! My family and I have been shopping to that store for years, but you have to carefully place someone who understand the current situation right now.

Incompetent management. Staff very poorly trained and rude. Staff also never answer the phones. STAFF LIKE TO PLAY GAMES WITH EACH OTHER RATHER THEN SERVING CUSTOMERS! Staff always trying to get out of serving customers doing everything else at the check out desk instead of opening up cash registers and serving people when it's busy! I highly recommend you shop elsewhere. I call for management and assistant mangers to be fired ASAP! head office is asleep at the wheel! so many bad reviews!

The ladies at the service desk are always so lovely, but you can tell they need more support. Having to serve a huge line of customers, do prints, and ALSO answer the phones? Management needs to provide more support, especially during the morning and lunch time rush. The store is always dirty, and the store manager is extremely rude. I have also had a horrible experience asking for help from a manager named Natarsha. Honestly, the management at that store is utterly useless.

staff just can't find items and only managers can find. they increased the price of one same item from $39 to $69 over night. We went there and they said its $69 and they don't admit they said its $39. So both service staff and check out staff are not honest and a waste of time. If they told us its $69 or honour their words at $39, then we don't have to waste so much time, there are hundreds of places we can buy this item.

The lovely gentlemen on the door this morning is amazing 9/02/2022 11am-12pm as soon as we walked in he asked if we where ok finding everything we needed today …. Wow just so welcoming and beautiful especially in a big company where people just usually watch you walk through. He got someone down to check back stock of an item I was looking for And is just a blessing. Don’t ever let him leave ! I wish I got his name :)

The store is always clean and there is always staff around if you ever need help. Only problem is the checkout, it is honestly horrible. Not even Christmas period and the checkout lines will have you waiting for 5-7 minutes to buy something. If I’m buying one thing I really don’t want to be waiting in the line that long! Sometimes I even just leave the item because it’s just not worth waiting that long honestly.

As much as I hate to be buying cheap Chinese stuff, I keep coming back here because the low prices and quality continues to surprise me. Everything including Clothing, Home wares, Toys, Kitchen accessories, Electronics, Books, etc. It's a bit tricky with some lines, at the moment, being in short supply. But this is only temporary, and one day things will be back to normal.

Hey did they change the layout of this store? It's very confusing and having checkouts in the middle of the store makes no sense. Obviously some "new age" designer who probably has never shopped at Kmart thought in their infinite wisdom that it would look nicer, but never gave practicality a thought. I'll be avoiding this store from now on and only shop at the other old well planned Kmarts

I would give zero stars if it were possible. I never liked Kmart and the new layout and repositioning of the checkouts to the centre of the store just cements my feelings. There is no logical flow to the layout. The way they have redesigned the checkout area is a nightmare, just one long queue to a very limited number of manned and self serve registers. Never again will I shop at Kmart.

It is very popular store of the mall. One can find almost all ranges of products for daily life. From toys to apparels and from cosmetics to utensils and what not is available in this store. The prices are also very affordable. Most of the time you find some kind of discounts or buy one get two type of offers.The staffs are courteous and helpful in locating the items of your choice.

This Kmart still has the older style store layout meaning registers at the front. This is so much easier to navigate than the new central registers format. Good place to come for cheap clothing but almost everything else you would expect from a department store is being phased out. The entertainment section will be something of the past and the toy section seems to be shrinking to.

Omg I went to checkout.. lady came to ‘assist’ me .. I told her, yes I’ve used automated checkouts before.. she stood beside me explained how to scan an item.. etc etc.. even explained how to use my credit card.. I would like to praise the kindness of the young man who is the door concierge at Kmart Chermside. I broke my left wrist and bought a ladies watch to wear on my right wrist. The kind young man saw that l needed help and set up the watch for me. Great service which l really appreciated as l couldn't have done this myself. Thanks a million.

Went here on Sat and wow was it busy. Centre aisles were ok but if you want to look up and down side aisles it was very cramped and crowded. Stock also seemed a bit lacking in some areas like sporting goods. Surprisingly even though there was a massive queue at the checkouts it moved really quickly so wait time was quite respectable.

I have to give a bad review on this simply because of the following. 1 trolley bay is never full always nearly empty. 2 the store is not designed well especially if someone is in a wheel chair. Very tight in some places to move around. Staff are ok not overly friendly can never get actual smile from the person on the front door.

Kmart has come a long way. They stock interesting, pleasant to the eye and wallet and extremely functional products. Before I spend a lot of money elsewhere, I check out Kmart as they normally stock the item I am looking for at a fraction of the price though not scrimping on quality. It's also a good store to browse in.

Horrible staff at the checkouts and self serves. Very very rude and unhelpful. They wanted to argue about price matching when it has always been a service theyve provided. Both staff on the door were lovely and in agreement when I told them of my experience and they explained that the staff are usually very rude.

The store provided many utilities and other utensils that you would only be able to use once or twice . And the staff seem to be either programmed robots or socially awkward. Especially one staff member who was rude to the other employees when I was near by. Does not inspire a team effort within the work place.

I like Kmart much better than target. I think the prices are more reasonable and I especially love the household section. Leaving the chermside store I had my bag checked twice on the way out and was a bit ticked off for being mistaken for a criminal but I guess no one likes that and I probably do look dodgy.

Good products but they finally did the foolish thing by removing the checkouts at the front and putting it in the middle of the store. I’m sure they have a reason for it but I hate having to search for a checkout that now has longer lines and then having to show a receipt as I leave while carrying bulky items

many cheap stuff you can buy from here. most of them are low quality and can not be used for more than two years but considering the price you can get good deals from somethings that you don't need to use for long time. Toys are the same in every department store but here you can find a cheaper price.

Rarely has items in stock. Nearly everytime I go to to buy something they're out of stock. Just the last two weeks I can think of three items I tried to purchase which weren't in stock despite being advertise as being in stock: white copy paper, vacuum clothing bags and monopoly deal the card game.

Do not bother ringing them for customer service. I was on the phone for almost nine minutes, on two seperate occasions, as the phone rang out. If you are going to have different sections to get connected to, I suggest you have someone in that section to answer the call. Just saying… it might work.

I really like Kmart and the 'young adults' that work there are great. But why is there never more people on check-outs. Its the same at Coles. The poor chucky on the service desk was run off her feet this afternoon and not one person in sight to help her. WHATS GOING ON , NOT HAPPY KMART !

K-MART is a great place to shop for the whole entire family from bedding kitchen Ware shoes and socks odds and ends kids ware house accessories and just about anything that you can grab your hands on they even have school books and stationary bike accessories kids bikes and adults as well

Good quality and unbelievable prices. We got a 2 seat sofa online for $50. We did not expect much for the price but is just as wonderful if not better than some of our other sofas from Fantastic. Overall lovely style in the homewares department. Don't worry about Ikea just head to Kmart.

It's a Kmart. There are plenty of options. Little odd now they have moved to checkouts to the centre of the store though. But I guess someone in marketing doesn't agree. They have the general range of Kmart stock and they usually have all catalog items (at least the ones I've noticed).

Good prices and a wide range of goods. I can usually find what I'm after and hardly ever walk away empty handed. Clothing and accessories are decent quality for the price although I've found a lot of the anko products (outside clothing and accessories) to be pretty hit or miss.

Always feel like your a thief at this store when leaving. One particular employee stops nearly every single person. I've seen many people looked very distressed when employees try to go through their purchased goods. Registers should never been moved to the middle if the store.

Large selection. Really good for inexpensive clothing, e.g. mens tshirts. Also good for home decorating. Trolley access could be a whole lot better though. The outside mall is an absolute beast to navigate in. Really easy to get lost looking for exits to the car park.

Oh how I love Kmart.. we picked up so many travel items here. Everything here is so reasonably priced and the selection is huge for anything that your heart may desire. I really wish we had one of these back home. It's sorta like a TK Maxx mixed with Primark.

Kmart has dominated the discount department space since 2014 after somehow rebranding their demographic to successfully appeal to literally every age group! Amazing. Regardless of your age you end up buying more than you intend.

This is a full size kmart. It's quite surprising to shop here as most things are very cheap, the aisles are wide, the whole shop is bright, pleasant and clean. There is a large range available also. I'll keep coming back here.

Generally low quality products, good for a quick shop but school equipment is where it really hits rock bottom. Pens are light and easily Broken. And if the quality is good there is only a minuscule amount of ink inside it.

Can't sell Australia day Merchandise because it might offend someone. Better stop selling Christmas products too otherwise you might offend Buddhist, Jews, Muslims and Hindi. Can't have it both ways.

Apart from the fact that it was in Chermside it was good. Busy, neat shop. The parking is a killer here and the sheer size of the place. A site map would have been handy but I couldn't see one.

Greeter at entrance seemed like she needed to take happy pills. Trollies - nil! I was told none would arrive for 30 minutes. If this store wants sales trollies and the greeter need to be fixed.

The girl who was on service desk today was absolutely disgusting to my partner and I, she laughed at us and told us to come back later. Would have been okay if she didn't have such an attitude.

As always there are cheep prices in-stall. The place has a wide variety of items that can be purchased at the self-serve checkouts or the assisted ones. Returns are easy if you have a receipt.

Good range of products...not 5 stars because of two things...kitchen still needs a lot of varietiez...they need to expand on it. Plus mens clothes section doesnt have much to offer

Kmart at Chermside is great. I am not a fan of the centre paying island but that’s just me. The parking upstairs is super close to Kmart which means it’s possible to get in

I like this Kmart as it's always pretty tidy. Strangely my favorite part is seeing the same happy employee at the entrance greeting everyone and checking the receipts.

Kmart is great. A surprisingly good selection of house items. Do not go here if you have a dog, or else you will end up buying various dog clothing you don't need.
