Love the prices. But... They should tell people that if you need a refund you must tell the staff member at the front door. Receipt or not. The staff member will give you a slip of paper stating how many items you have and if you have a receipt or not. I think it's a good idea for theft purposes, but the first time it happened to me, I walked in with (forgotten what it was now) with no receipt, headed straight for the customer/refund desk, and was asked if I had a receipt, to which I said no. I was asked if I told the staff member at the front door that I needing a refund. I said no. The staff member then got on her walkie talkie thingy...lol...and asked for camera footage of me walking into the store with the said forgotten item. I was shocked. It made me feel like a thief. I said to the lady, when did this new thing start as I only got a refund a week prior and was never asked for a ticket. She advised me that it had just come in. They said it would take a while to go over the video footage(after waiting over 10mins). I advised the lady I will be back as it was taking so long, but I stayed in the store to buy more items. I then became curious and walked out of the shop and back in(with only my empty trolley and my handbag) I looked and read all the signs to see where this rule was stated. I couldn't find anything. I asked the lass at the front door about needing a refund/and before I could finish she quickly jumped in and said oh, I will have to give you a ticket. I laughed and said it's ok, they are checking cameras now to see me walk in. I asked the lass where the sign is to let customers know that no matter what, receipt or no receipt, you will need a ticket first. She looked around and said there isn't any. I headed back to the customer counter and the lady had my refund ready as they saw me walk in with (forgotten item) I asked why they haven't put signup. She didn't know. All the staff are very helpful and the majority are lovely, but I do believe a sign should be where the staff member is standing when you walk in or out of the store. Rant over. Otherwise, I love shopping there!! P.s This was approx 3 months ago, and still no signup.
Great products, helpful staff but the checkout layout is very silly in my opinion. They have two or 3 staff counters and the rest are self checkout in the middle of the store. The self checkout weighing system doesn't work unless you have bigger items and it is very frustrating waiting for a staff member to come over and fix the system for you, especially if there is only one staff member and they are usually helping someone else with the same issue. On the way out the door, a staff member has to check your receipt. I know this is a layout for all Kmart stores now but it just doesn't make sense in my opinion.
Great merchandise at really good prices. The bizarre layout of the store makes no sense and is a real turn-off. We had to queue for a checkout because of my disability which precludes me from using the ergonomic disaster which is the self serve checkouts. This didn't stop the guy running the checkouts from telling me every time a self serve checkout was available (in spite of me saying that I needed a manned checkout). I found the attitude rude, arrogant and offensive. I cannot use a self-service checkout, stop badgering me about it!.
Went in today to print a photo for part of a Christmas present, ended up having to restart the whole editing process on their photo editing computers 3 times before finally managing to print the photo. There was a huge queue waiting for the print area, and the woman's photos next to me randomly deleted themselves from the system, meaning she had to restart again from the beginning. However, the photo print quality was fantastic, and the price was decent so, I imagine if you have a good day the Kmart print service would be worth it.
Who doesn't love Kmart? Accessible, affordable, with a wide range of options - it's the perfect place to shop when preparing for the holidays. The only criticism is the strange placement of the cash registers, which are almost exclusively self-serve but are located in the centre of the store. This makes them more difficult to find at first, and also means heading back out through half a store once you've made your purchases - so always stop & take the receipt
Let’s start with the new refit like the others stores no a fan of it the line up in the middle for everything it might be better to split the lines into 3 line ups then the look of the store as per pictures that are attached the store was a mess The was also things on the ground in other areas as well there were a lot of tripping hazards the good about the store they had more stock than most of the Kmart stores
When you want to buy good products at the most reasonable prices, Kmart is the place to go. We were able to buy some back-to-school nice stationery and $15 pair of work shoes (very good grip soles for the price). And since we need to get our kids' stuff contained, we also bought some foldable storage organizers for $5 each. It's always a pleasure shopping at Kmart -- good products, price and friendly staff.
Overall a good variety of items and reasonable prices. Store often opens later than advertised and the woman on the door looks like she would obviously prefer to be somewhere else and looks everybody up and down like they are all criminals, not sure why someone so miserable would be the first point of contact the customer sees, a pleasant smile and a hello like many other stores would be nicer.
LOVE this kmart, always friendly staff. Only issue I ever had was one of the employee that stands at the entrance to check receipts picked up my child foot to check the bottom of his shoes to make sure I wasn't stealing them, totally unacceptable and uncalled for as I had handed her my receipt with over $200 worth of purchases just made. Other then that the store is great.
Clean and basic store, similar to all the other new Kmarts. The price of everything is very low and is slightly concerning ethically. The check out area is in the centre of the store so staff need to check your receipt every time you exit the store with a product. Not a dealbreaker, but sometimes inconvenient. Overall it’s a good place to buy basics especially home ware.
This review is specifically for Mason at Kmart Toombul. He was very helpful on call. I’ve had to deal with issues from another store, online and with HQ all day. Mason didn’t know any of this but still gave amazing customer service. He was very kind, helpful and solved the issue really quickly. Thank you, Mason.
This Kmart store did not have general items such as clothes airer in stock. Staff were chatting loudly about their personal life while working and stacking the shelves. The store manager Brandon was not being helpful or being solutions focused. They kept repeating: I can't help you. I can't do anything.
The register was a pain.I was buying clothes and it wouldn't read codes or sometimes accept that I had put item in baggage area. I prefer to wait for a cashier even if it means waiting a little longer.Still don't like how the checkouts are in middle of store as you then need your bags checked on way out
Kmart has changed over the years as affordable shopping for all families. Staff members here at Toombul are helpful and knowledgeable of what's in store. But would appreciate If there is one available in some departments like the pet corner. It took me awhile on Saturday to locate one .
Always a pleasure shopping at Kmart. I take my family there regularly to buy new crockery as our cupboards occasionally fall off the wall and cause some serious collateral damage. Staff are always helpful and the self checkout makes it all to easy to get in and out in time for dinner!
Pretty good store. It's layout seems to be flipped compared to most other stores, like, homeware on the left, rather than right. I went to pick up a saw, but they don't sell them. The shed and garden sign is also above the dog section, so that was confusing for a moment
Fairly modern store which has recently had an upgrade. Kmart has been a stalwart at Toombul more for longer than 20yrs. Store is well laid out and we'll stocked. Though some areas can be fairly narrow and inaccessible if you have a stroller, trolley or have walking aid.
Prices match the quality, presentation was over loaded with sizes which made walking through the aisle a bit difficult at times. Customer service from employees stacking shelves were a bit off handed. The service at the check out was nice. Thank you
Great prices for furnishings. Dont let your partner shop here by themselves. Checkout is a pain as you have to do it yourself and every second item is an unexplained item in the bagging area. Good luck finding anyone in the store to help you.
Pro's: Well stocked store and helpful staff. Con's: Checkouts are in the middle of the store then you have to walk through the store and show your docket to security when leaving...seems a bit silly and time consuming.
I love going to KMart at Toombul. It has a good range of items for sale and is conveniently located near transport. Buses stop within shopping centre and the trains are only across the road from the shopping centre.
The checkout in the middle with the winding aisle is so annoying. Does not encourage me to buy me to purchase more items- encourages me to drop items and leave the store. Then the wasted double check on the way out.
Kmart has some good deals. You just need to look. I especially like the Photoshop service. When sales are on getting a bargain is easy. Merchandise is on the cheaper end of the scale but still value to be had.
Management needs a shuffle up I asked for a bag told no they're run out. so when u I pointed too the bags I needed 2 keep my new pillows dry was told I can't have any they're (get this)bin linners really
You can always find alot of useful stuff that you want or need at K Mart. Never knew they also sold these jelly belly flavoured car refreshener here until I stumbled across them. Interesting find indeed!
Good, clean store. Better layout than Chermside and often has good stock levels. Staff are usually friendly and happy to help locate things. Glad to support Kmart.
Kmart is Kmart. I found the cutest Frosty the Snowman sing along toy here and I almost bought it too. Pete would have killed me though.
Kmart has always been my place to find toys for my kids every time i come to Brisbane. Quality products at affordable price.
I like Kmart especially they are friendly there is no other place like I recommend you go there
