The gym is decent as far as the availability and quality of machines and equipment. Our biggest problem has been with the shady way that the staff / organization do business. Specifically, around personal training, it’s not worth it. Let me say that again no matter what they tell you it’s not worth it. What you get for what they charge is certainly not a good value. on top of that, they have the sneaky ways of taking your paid for appointments away from you. We paid for a certain number of lessons, then while we were out of town for a few weeks on a work assignment, we came back to find out that near the end of our term. We had 13 appointments available but only 22 days to use them. Once you’ve paid for something it should be yours. It shouldn’t expire when the term of your personal training contract expires. This may be in the contract that I signed but it was not explained and it’s highly unethical regardless if it’s in the contract or not. My recommendation is the personal training outside of the LA fitness organization for personal training, possibly or free resources available online. The information and motivation gained from the personal training is shallow at best and completely worthless at worst. Gyms are notorious for shady business practices when it comes to misleading contracts and financial interactions. I should’ve known, take heed and don’t make the same mistake. Gym membership is one thing, but don’t trust LA fitness for personal training or any contractual arrangement. Honestly, this is a requirement to stealing, and they get away with it over and over again. During the six months that we’ve been attending this gym, the staff there have largely turned over multiple times my suspicion is that it has to do with people not wanting to be affiliated with the shady business practices within the LA fitness organization.

This is a really nice and new gym! The staff is very helpful as well. I love the basketball court (great competition there) and the boxing bags in the group fitness area, on top of the nice locker rooms and great selection of weights. They also have a pool and racquetball courts, with a sauna in the locker room if you want that. What do I not like about it? First of all, I don't like how the area with the exercise balls, kettle bells, and TRX bands is roped off as somewhere that you can seemingly only go to if you're paying for a trainer. I never asked someone if I could go in there (and I would assume that asking nicely could potentially work), but I just get the vibe that you probably need to pay extra for a trainer to use that area. Some of the people who go there could sometimes use a little more consideration of others. They often just sit on the exercise equipment during their rest periods in between multiple reps, so it can be hard to use equipment during busy times. They also tend to take free weights and carry them to other areas of the gym (and then leave them there), so it can be hard to find a weight that you want. But then again, this is just a good excuse to level up to a higher weight. Finally, there was an exercise machine involving the cables that you pull that had not been fixed for at least two days (that was two days ago and today is my next time to workout so I'm not sure what happened). Overall, this is a great gym and I am happy that I got my membership here! The issues with the weights or people sitting on machines aren't really the responsibility of LA Fitness, and it would take extra staff to police all the jerks (which would add costs). So my recommendation is to get a membership and then just come at the less busy times (and then hope that the jerks stop coming after a month or so).

The actually energy of this place is awesome in my opinion however let me explain I'm there 5-6 days a week religiously. I only go there for heavy weight training, kick ass and leave. I use the parking lot, weights and weight machines, drinking fountains, toilets, and occasionally the showers...that's it so keep that in mind... I have read many reviews of this place. So I'll say this from the beginning of the journey there to the end. Other than a costco and a pep boys across the street I do not like the neighborhood. Its industrial and kinda crusty. The parking lot is cool but always full because this is a very cool gym with high traffic especially during rush hour gym times Its a fairly massive gym with a dinky little parking lot. Upon arrival the front desk staff is normal pleasant and informative. I only use the locker room for toilets and showers. (I dont use the lockers, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, rackets ball courts, and i dont play backetball) The cardio machine area is damn nice (although I dont do cardio) All the machines and weights there are very well updated. The organization of the weights is never ever organized fully especially the smaller weights (not the gyms problems just the inconsideration weight lifters who dont care about others and dont know how to rerack their weights) I have never had a problem with not having hot water there so i dont know what that google review complaints are all about. The crowd there I both admire and complain about at times but no big deal. It seems like every time I go there I'm running into 3 different types of people 1 Really young people who have no idea how to work out and are just occupying machines which i admire their effort but it sucks 2 Retired elderly 3 Bodybuilder-like tattoed thuggy-like dudes who look like they are in a gang or something

Always packed with people who are stuck on their phones more than they are working out especially in the squat rack. Some girls actually set up shop there sipping on their fav drink get on their phone and sit down and when they do get up they're just posing in the mirror while there's a line waiting. Nothing against that but they should be more considerate of others if the gym is packed and do that personal trying to look good when the gym is less full. But as for the guys..wow, so many teenage kids with that curly hair sedgar cut just in groups hugging each other taking up space horse playing. IYKYK those that go there after 5pm. Also the cleaning older lady doesn't care if you're working out, if she's gonna mop she will mop over your feet, I see it all the time there. Now as for the staff they need better training when it comes to assisting someone in case of any medical emergency. I just saw someone having a stroke and ppl immediately approached this guy while asking for help. When ppl were calling the staff they took their time walking towards this man and were clueless on what to do while they went back to were their lil cubicles are to call another staff member so that person could take his time approaching this guy with a stroke. Plus they were procrastinating and didn't even get close to the guy to see what they could do and just watched as others were calling 911. Finally paramedics arrived and suddenly a senior staff member who was never even there got there and tried to take credit as if she was there assisting this poor guy the whole time. They need to do better. I don't recommend this one unless you're there for the sauna which become like packed sardines after 5pm.

The staff are very nice and helpful. Bathrooms are kept relatively clean throughout the day. They have lots of free weights with 2.5 increments. This is one of the more spacious locations, which I like. And the hours are good. My big complaints are: 1. It's too warm inside. 2. Nobody puts dumbbells or plates away. And the staff never goes around and collects them. I sometimes spend half my workout doing laps around the gym looking for weights. 3. Parking is rough when they have dance classes and sporting games. 4. Some of their equipment is old and needs to be replaced (pads wearing out, squeaky machines, machines regularly needing service). 5. Their free weight benches don't incline 15° or 30°. Only 45° and up. 6. Some equipment like lat pull down isn't tall enough for myself at 6'2" to get a good stretch (seat does not adjust either). Tricep dip bar doesn't extend out far enough to do them with correct form. The cable machines are always breaking down. And they don't have enough cable attachments for the amount of cable machines they have (there is literally ONE close grip lat pull attachment in the entire gym). You definitely need to bring your own bar clamps, bands, cable handles and pull down rope. Which all costs money on top membership and service fees. 7. There is supposed to be a no photo policy but it's not enforced and there are people taking selfies and filming. It's annoying.

I bought the gym membership that last like 19 months before you have to pay again. I honestly like coming here. I see them cleaning up and vacuuming and even cleaning the bathrooms. It helps to keep the germs down and you down get staff infection etc by doing so plus they have a bar where you can get healthy snacks and drinks and smoothies. At different times some times it can get a bit crowded but that is every gym so I pick my times to have it when it is slower traffic. The staff who work there are always dope and friendly. At least the ones I talk to. I would recommend trying it out l. It definitely beats out Planet Fitness in my book. They don’t have free weights like how I like it at LA Fitness. It is a good gym to go to if you don’t want to pay more or if you have nothing else but other than that I can go to any LA Fitness gym I want and they have a swimming pool and jacuzzi as well as a sauna. So for this reason and for it being clean overall with good vibes. Even met people who are regulars and we all speak for a brief moment and then back to working out because I go to lift instead of socialize. This location is close enough to where I live and I love it!!

Bad experience trying to close my account: I had to call the gym, then corporate, then mail a letter to Irvine to close my account and was still charged an extra month because of the time it took to process the mail. Then, I was charged $300 last month, despite having cancelled my account 7 months ago. I called the gym 3 times, was routed to different staff/managers until I was routed to corporate, and was told my training account had not been cancelled despite my request to cancel all accounts. I was issued a new confirmation of my training account being closed and verbally told I would get a refund. Three weeks after this, I call the gym today to ask about my account and refund, only to find my account is still open and the manager said I need to come in physically to close the account! Again! The gym manager eventually gave me the number to call corporate again, and corporate confirmed my account should be closed and the previous rep had not completed the refund process, so I was stuck in a loop. Also, no one responds to emails. I will never get LA Fitness again. I lost money trying to cancel my accounts, and the process has been a big headache.

So we’ve been members of LA Fitness for a very long time and we’ve been to a lot of there gyms. For the last month we’ve been coming to this one a few times a week and it is absolutely horrible compared to the standards that we’ve seen in other LA Fitness gyms. Today I checked into the gym and it literally had been open just for about 15 minutes and there is just stuff everywhere. And when I say everywhere I mean everywhere. Good luck at finding a dumbbell on the rack where is should be they are left all over the gym. The plates are everywhere. Nothing has been picked up or put back since yesterday because there is no way this is from the 1st few minutes they’ve open. There is not this many people here. 99 percent of the gyms we’ve been in the weights have all been picked up and put back. Most of the gyms you see there employees are walking around and picking stuff up or the trainers. Not here. We’ve actually seen the trainers get done on a machine and literally leave the weights on the equipment. I mean what the heck. If you have another choice pick another gym . No positives , pool, sauna nice and hot, basketball as well as racquet ball.

Way overcrowded or just not large enough. Anytime after 4pm on a weekday, you can't stand anywhere without being in someone's way. Mornings are surprisingly packed too. It's almost impossible to get the weight or machine you need when you need it. Then there's the inconsiderate members who hog weights they don't use, or don't re-rack when they're done. What really compounds this problem is the gym's limiting hours. I'd happily work out at night if they had that option. There's also a severe lack of machine attachments, and management is either unable or just unwilling to address it. The staff are overburdened and only seem to do the bare minimum. It's a pain to sign-in too. The barcodes are so complex that they won't register over a smaller digital device, and you can't just punch in or scan a finger like other gyms. The place does look nice, and it has a juice bar if that's really important to you. The range of equipment is alright, but not enough to go around. Overall, it's not worth the hassle. After only a few visits, I was convinced I had made a mistake and cancelled soon thereafter.

I had only a few problems with this gym as a member. It's too crowded and, as many other reviewers have stated, they're in the business of selling overpriced personal training, not keeping the regular machines clean or working. But the reason I'm leaving a one star review is this: THEY WILL NOT CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP UNLESS YOU MAKE A SCENE. My wife and I both called multiple times to cancel memberships and were told that we would have to come in to do that. That doesn't make any sense but we did it. We were told that we had to speak to a specific manager to cancel. Again, we didn't have to do any of that to sign up so it doesn't seem like we should have to in order to cancel, but we did it. Then they kept charging us so we went in and did it again. And then they still kept charging us. In dealing with this problem I've discovered that being polite or decent simply does not work with the employees at this location. They will not cancel memberships unless they're forced to. There are plenty more former customers of this gym that have left reviews here stating the same. So be warned.

People leave their weights everywhere. Not enough ventilation in the locker room. A lot of the machines look worn out with padding that needs to be replaced. Free weights under 50lbs are always impossible to find, but don't worry there are plenty between 50 and 100 lbs. Plenty of benches, but not enough barbells. What's the point? Lots of people who are inconsiderate. I come during off hours and it's still difficult to get certain exercises done because people take too long, too many people using the same machines, machines are broken, or the equipment is missing I wish the staff would enforce the rules better. Update 9/16/23: Talked to some staff 2 weeks ago about the discrepancy between the amount of benches and barbells, as well as one of the machines that has been broken for over a month. They said something to the effect of that they are working on it. The discrepancy between the barbells and benches continues. The machine is also still broken. Update 9/30/23: the machine has yet to be fixed Update 10/19/23: finally! The machine has been fixed!

This place has a ton of potential, but the potential isn’t being fulfilled and it seems like it is due to laziness or lack of management accountability. The child care is great front desk is pretty friendly. The biggest frustrations I have with this place are the disaster of dumbbells that are scattered everywhere and the lack of cleanliness. There are labels on the racks, however they are never in the correct spot, nor are they next to the matching dumbbell. It will take a person several minutes to find the desired weights they want to use. I understand some of this comes back on the members to put them back where they belong, but at the end of the day, there’s no chance I’d let my gym have dumbbells scattered everywhere, up against walls, buried in corners collecting dust. Other than that, cleanliness is the other big issue. I can’t imagine that place has been deep cleaned in a long time. Like I said, it could be a great place and I think if they had some quality management keeping employees and members accountable.

This LA Fitness is pretty crowded most of the time. They place is packed with machines, but there are often waiting times for the common weight machines and benches no matter what time of day you come. The parking lot does not have enough spaces for the clients that come and cars are often broken into in the lot as they have decided they security is only warranted from 3pm on. Odd, considering the police department said they get numerous calls and the majority are during the day. The place is moderately clean, but the clients do not k ow how to put weights away where they belong. It is definitly a mid to low class neighborhood, and the clientele at this gym reflects that in their inettention to basic manners about equipment. The employees are nice but shrug everything off; they act nice and may feel bad but they do not really care. All that said, I get some decent workouts here. I will, however, be looking for a better gym.

For a first timer joining the gym LA Fitness has been a great experience for me. STAFF has been super friendly and very helpful when it comes to using equipment or any questions that i may have. VIC assisted me with my enrollment with getting a personal trainer, he is extremely knowledgeable and was very helpful making sure i had a custom plan ready for the next couple of months. Vic made sure i stayed motivated and that anything is possible to achieve, if i work hard. My trainer MANNY, knows his stuff. He is awesome and exactly what i needed to kick my butt in gear. has enough patience when it comes to me saying i can't no more, he motivates me to push through and not give up. I would strong recommend him as a trainer to anyone. i would definitely recommend LA Fitness. P.S. When i say i hate you guys, it truly means thanks for kicking my butt. - Irma

What about the car chargers Look, this is a perfectly fine LA Fitness. 8000 ellipticals, a pool, classes, etc. But what is upsetting is the car charging. Someone (and I suspect it was LA Fitness) cut all the cords off them and management has done nothing about it for over a year. This indicates a lack of care for the segment of customers who drive electric cars (which grows every day) and in general for the environment. If you ask they will say "oh we are looking for a different vendor." But for over a year? Does the company who installed those chargers know their facilities have been damaged? I have a lot of questions. The whole thing sucks. This is the problem with LA Fitness. I think the company doesn't monitor their locations well and weird junk like this flies below the radar for long periods.

  • Alen Molnar

Used to be my favorite LA Fitness location! I like the high ceilings, so it ventilates properly. But for the past few months many machines brake down and they just stopped fixing them. Rush hours are very busy so there just not enough equipment for everyone! The cable machines are standing there, I see they dont even intend to fix them, as the all the cables were simply removed! THEFT is pretty bad in the locker room. DO NOT USE COMBINATION LOCKS!! And if any of the managers bothers reading this: IF YOU CANT AFFORD FIXING YOUR EQUIPMENT, SHUT THE BUSINESS DOWN!! This is getting ridiculous. You cant just disable ALL the cable machines. Close the business or sell it!! Let someone else bring this place back to life PLEASE!

  • Chef Cher

Big gym with good equipment but they do not consistency do the mask mandate. I counted at least 20 ppl without masks when I was there. The staff that says they are walking to check is chatting with each other or intimidated to tell ppl to put their masks on. Some people working out here don't even wear tennis shoes, they wear Crocs! Front desk doesn't see anything unless you tell them. They are usually playing around like they are at home. No one runs this place like a proper gym should be. Why is the workers not walking around even to see whoa following the rules? This is the down side. Lots of parking here. Homeless ppl with memberships you see here often. They come to shower etc& carry their clothes in grocery bags.

  • Julie Vaillancour

Keep checking your credit card statements when you cancel your FAMILY PLAN. Although the website NEVER prompted me to do so....apparently you have to cancel each minor as though they were on a SEPARATE ACCOUNT. When trying to inquire about the continued charge for my minor's portion, I was told I could only resolve it by talking to the manager at the gym, who was only available from 9 to 5. I had to take time off to be able to do this. The manager was rude and condescending. I had to argue with him like I was dealing with a sales person on a used car lot. None of this is an accident. I believe this shady company encourages making things difficult to try to keep your money one way or another. Just be aware.

Been coming to this club for a while now and have had nothing short of a positive experience since I switched from Crunch. The staff is incredibly friendly, the gym stays clean, pre-covid they had a ton of classes available but they've done away with those for the time being. It's got a huge parking lot but still, parking is scarce so be prepared to wait a couple of minutes for a space to open up if you're going during peak hours. I have to give a shout out to Craig who is probably the friendliest and most welcoming team member at the front desk! He's always super eager to help you out or answer any questions you may have! Over all great gym and wouldn't consider transferring anywhere else.

  • Luis Romeo Rodriguez

I went to this la fitness for a couple of months after they closed down the la fitness I used to go to for years. To start off the parking is always full unless you go at 5 am. Once you're in, it's packed and you have to wait for machines/free weights. The weights were never re-racked. When there's no class, the warm-up room is also really cluttered with people. The cleaning happens at inopportune times. The hours are another factor as to why I left. Their peak hours are terrible but their non-peak hours are just as bad. One of the worst gyms in terms of how crowded it is. I'm legit surprised it even has more than one star, might be the regulars that hog up all the equipment, machines, etc.

  • Maite Flores

This review is solely based on the zumba classes at this gym, since I really only go to this gym for zumba. In particular the zumba instructor Nancy j. shows up 20-30 minutes late every class shes scheduled. Which ends up wasting the entire zumba class' time waiting and getting a shorter zumba and it is extremely disappointing. It's understandable if you have to be late once or twice, but being late literally every single class that you are scheduled for is not acceptable. Even after telling the front desk my disappointment, I was told they were not responsible for hiring instructors, and corporate is responsible. CORPORATE take responsibility of your hires and pay attention to your staff.

  • Vic Arutyunyan

I love this gym. In comparison to most of the LA fitness gyms near me (studio city) this one is the best one. It’s big and spacious with a turf area and platforms. Decent weight section with a lot of machines and cardio. There is nice recovery zone where they serve drinks, water and snacks. So far they have always opened on time in the morning since I have been coming in. To be clear, I am not picky when it comes to gyms. I focus more on equipment and functionality. As far as the demographics, it has been great in the mornings. Everyone seems to be respectful and mindful of other guests. I have not been at this gym in the Afternoon or Evening. Not sure what those Time slots look like.

  • Bobby

Craig and Morry are the great staff I know helping every one with smile and positive energy. These two persons are the only great things I see here. Why I gave here two stars: 1-Too busy, it takes usually at least 15 minute to find a parking space in the parking lot, it is also too busy inside, you should be aggressive to get access to the tools you want, specially between 5:30pm to 9pm. 2-The machines are old, there are a few treadmills that malfunctions and they are really dangerous. Also most of the machines are outdated, they do not work smoothly, there are only a 1 good new machine for each part of the body, so again you have to wait a long time to get access to it. Thank you

  • Marisa Smith

This place is your standard gym with some key extras. They have individual lockers you can use to lock up ypur keys or other items for the day, pool and spa, classes, and also a sauna. The hours are sufficient except on weekends. Weekdays it gets very packed to the point where I can't get a parking spot sometimes. Best times to go are before 8am and between 1pm and 4pm weekdays. Weekends are usually not too busy. The only negative I would say is not a lot of free space to stretch or do body weight exercises if class room is being used. Other than that this place is a nice clean standard place to work out. Parking is free. Staff is friendly.

  • Conny Wolfram

Front desk mostly snobby and often downright rude, especially all female staff (exception: Laura). More concerned with making calls than helping gym members right in front of them. And finding parking is challenging, to say the least. It also takes them more than a year (!) to implement member suggestions to solve problems (i.e. putting up disabled plaques on shower/bathroom or signs that for I'd taking pictures in locker rooms)!!! And if a member complains, they are being told "This is our biggest location. If you don't like it, you are welcome to use a different one!" (I actually overheard this.) Unbelievable.

The gym has a friendly staff and lots of treadmills. The problem with the gym is how crowded it gets. Especially during 4-7 but that is understandable since everyone wants to work out after work. I think the size of the indoor pool is great but there are some folks who think they own the pool. I feel like the center area with turf for personal training session is unnecessary as well as the dancing room. They should use that space for more machines/benches for strength training. Other than that no complaints for the price.

  • Corey Wright

This L.A. Fitness is huge and the facility is well-kept. There are lots of machines and lots of cardio machines as well. There’s also a bar to get shakes afterwards. What I don’t prefer about this place is that you often have to wait for a machine or weights because it’s always crowded. Also, not sure what it is about this building but being more than four feel away from your phone if you’re using bluetooth headset is the worst. Should you avoid this place? No. Just prepare by packing some extra patience in your gym bag.

  • J Valencia

Parking is awful. They can be unprofessional. The people at the front desk are always on their cell phones. They barely acknowledge you when you walk in. I accidentally forgot my gym pass and didn't have my I.D. and they would not let me in because they said they couldn't confirm that I'm the actual member (then why take my picture when I become a member) I understand if that's policy then be consistent two weeks later a man did the same thing and they let him in and told him not to forget his pass again.

  • Alina Pratt

I wonder if the management of any LA fitness locations read the reviews , because all of them have less then 4.0 rating! Probably it's right about time to start improving, not just take people's money and put it in their own pocket! New machines are needed, cleaning team on site, higher pay for staff so they can actually work and much more!!! Honestly for the past 9 years that I've been a customer of LA fitness, I've got very disappointed. I'm glad my membership expires in a few months!

  • Ricardo Hernandez

Pretty well maintenaned gym, machines that are down are usually fixed fairly quickly, people usually move around often making it easier to go on a machine you may be waiting for. Not enough parking, sometimes you can spend 15 minutes of your workout, just driving around following people to see if they're going to leave. My unwinding time usually happens in the sauna, so it sucks that the gym doesn't have rules about not working out or being noisy in there, therefore they get (3)

  • Noella Risley

Good gym to get motivated ! Lots of of people in great shape actively working out . There's a fishbowl-style indoor pool always heated to perfection , a sauna and a hot tub ! I'm not one to share a hot tub at the gym , but I'm all over the pool! Just two complaints : a) staff who are either shy ,rude or grossly disinterested in working. b) bumper to bumper traffic and random road rage incidents over a lot that is lacking the space to provide enough parking for active members.

  • Robert Drake

This is the rudest gym I have ever been to. It is cut throat for parking. Multiple times I have had women, just steal the parking space from me While I'm waiting with indicator on. It's filled to capacity, at all times. There is simple not enough equipment for the number of people who work out there. Machines as are often times sweaty, because of the type of clientele. Once they are finished with the machine it's your problem. In your face. Have a good day.

  • Melissa R

Ela is an amazing master trainer! I love her attitude. She’s positive, kind and really makes you feel welcome on each visit. She is the crown jewel of this location. The gym is cool too. The personal trainer area is reserved and not too crowed, so you get to stretch out while training. The rest of the gym is fine, I do wish someone would collect the weights and return them so you’re not scouting to find them, but all in all, I like this facility.

  • Marcos Villatoro

I like the place. The workers have always been kind, there's an ample amount of weights, bunches of aerobic machines. Machines break down, and they can be slow about getting them fixed, that's one downside. But they break down because of the members--all those guys who just love to drop weights and slam down the machines. I always wonder, do they do it because they're too weak to place them on the floor? Anyway, I think it's a pretty good place.

  • Damon Lewis

This gym has good equipment. The staff was friendly when I bought my membership. After that, they proved to be not very service oriented. There is one woman behind the front desk though, that connects with everyone and has enough knowledge to help with any service or problem. She’s there at 6 AM on most days. I’ve been to bad gyms and this isn’t one of them. It’s not the best gym, but I still appreciate them. I prefer them over 24 Hour Fitness.

  • MAC

Please , don't waste your money on LA Fitness! would recommend you going to any other gyms out there. Don't be fool with a low price, it's a corporate that won't care about you or your money and your time. When it's time to cancel they won't hesitate to give you the round around to get one more month in there.. Save yourself from the headache trust me and my review, some reviews are here for a reason to help out consumers like you.

  • Aldo Rodriguez Hernandez

Great location all around. Has lots of machines, bench press benches, and squat racks. The squat racks have platforms and bumper plates for olympic lifts. There’s a separate area for trainers. There’s racquetball courts, basketball courts, spinning room, swimming pool, jacuzzi and saunas. The orange line metro has a stop right behind the building. It’s fairly busy so you might have to wait for certain areas but not long.

Great location! Staff is awesome! They have a huge selection of cardio equipment, but it's little outdated. Gets the job done. The free weights section is packed at all hours. It makes it difficult to have scheduled in and out workouts that focus on muscle groups. Racket ball, basketball, and indoor pool. Always people playing basketball, which is great if you're looking for pickup. You may have to wait a bit though.

  • Julian Dumit

Customer service representatives are not trained to be clients minded, their goal is just to sell, they even don't explain well what rules and regulations they make you sign on, even on supervisor level, no quality personnel, the excuse is "you signed the contract". You expect a lot more professionalism from "L.A FITNESS". Other than that, it's a clean environment all over the place, spacious and organized.

  • Tone itUp

love the gym, but the Tesla Bulls started LEAVING their cars on charger.. Now you need your credit card to charge... I suggest you only charge idling fees.. when people leave their car too long it charges your credit card.. this give opportunity to make money and other clients opportunity to charge while working out and minimize the LEAVING of cars... without the necessity of monitoring or TOWING cars away.

  • Dom Joseph

Never been to a gym so chaotic and disorganized and I’ve worked out everywhere. Don’t bother trying to find a dumbbell you need they’re laying around all over the gym, not to mention the endless amount of high school kids and teens who think it’s a social hour instead of gym. Staff does nothing about it. Will probably cancel membership and go elsewhere, planet fitness was better and that’s saying a lot.

  • Connie Cobb

This place is fabulous. The staff is excellent. They are very friendly and professional. They have a way of making you feel at home and special. They also have a juice bar which is an excellent way to end your workout. I was especially impressed with the manager Ryan. He was very knowledgeable and polite Kudos to LA Fitness.. the only thing is I wish the pool was a little deeper as I like to dive

  • Diana Bravo

In this club everything is ok except for the pool and kids club. I wanted to throw up because the water smelled so bad and it looked very dirty… I would never go in there. On the other hand, I tried to drop off my 6 month old baby at the kids club and the lack of care of the staff was incredible… they just told me to sit her on the hard floor and turned on the tv. Not okay for her age at least

  • Nicholas Purtell

This gym is fine. The equipment is a little unorganized, as in DBells all over the place. Half of the treadmills need to be serviced. The treadmills don’t want to go over 11mph for a long period of time. My biggest concern is the crime outside the gym. I was recently a victim of a “smash and grab”. Ensure all bags are placed in your trunk and not visible or left in you vehicle.

  • Bill Haller

Have to mention how kind and caring Ziad is. It could be so easy for a trainer working with a private client to ignore someone (like me) using a machine improperly, but he saw what I was doing and came over to help me adjust the settings so I wouldn't injure myself. Extremely thankful for people like Ziad! LA Fitness is lucky to have him and his work/health ethic.

  • Dragos Bratu

This gym is full of a..holes in leggings who do not rack their weights. I have been going to this gym since they opened it and I still don’t understand why they do not have signs saying to rack the weights. Also there are a..holes who are not considerate and park their Sentras in the hybrid parking spots. Very nice setup and equipment on the other hand.

  • Max Crane

Large gym which does have a lot of great equipment but is not well maintained by both the staff and some of the patrons unfortunately. The basketball court is a perfect representation. Trash left on the floors, old bald balls and a ripped net. It gets the job done for now but please do better la fitness, I’ve been to other locations and I know you can.

  • John Schmidt

This isn't Equinox. Yes, it is often crowded. Yes, machines remain unfixed for too long. No, it's not perfect. But, for $30/month, it's a pretty good deal. I've been going to this gym for about 4 years. It has plenty of machines, racquet ball courts, a pool, room for you to do your own thing, and decent lockers. Not perfect, but great for the price.

  • Martin Valle

The gym is ok but I'm not sure if 3 stars is too generous. The customer service and management kind of sucks, the equipment can be disorganized, and the wait times for some things can be less than pleasant. On the other hand there is a large variety of things you can check out and they are all good. It was ok but I'd rather go somewhere different

  • Silvia Rolon

Had a personal training class with Jason at the Van Nuys location... it was horrible!! I didn't do any kind of exercise for months so it was hard... but he was very patient and adapt the class to push myself to give as much as I could. The stuff in general was very nice and helpful. The place is clean and have an excellent group of equipment.

  • Evan S. Tallas

This has got to be the busiest LA Fitness I've ever seen. The parking lot is way too small. Other than that, the club itself is pristine, and there isn't a non-functional piece of equipment. They still try to get you to sign up and overcharge you using dubious math under the guise of saving you money, but that's always been the MO of LA Fitness.

  • Andrea Rojas

It’s usually pretty clean, the staff is friendly but the gym always has machines that need servicing. So far it’s been 3 weeks these machines haven’t gotten fixed and it seems as though there’s always another machine being put out of service. It’s pretty frustrating since the gyms always busy and the machines are either occupied or not working.

  • Cameron Flint

Lily was the best worker I have ever met! She is so incredibly intelligent and inspirational! She was so helpful and always puts a smile on my face. I will definitely be returning to this gym!( honorable mentions- David and viola, they were super helpful and I definitely recommend they get a raise in pay because they deserve it!)

  • MIGUEL GUTIERREZ

The LA Fitness Personal fitness training program is an excellent unit for young adults to take advantage and join a winning team. I been going to the gym since I was around 18 years old, and a few other family member are employers. The job I am interested is equipment, because of the basketball league I was in the All star team.

  • Mari Fukuyama

5 stars for personal trainer Acela K.!!! Acela is personable and professional, and absolutely committed to helping you meet your health and fitness goals. She will gently push you beyond your comfort zone, so you can see real results, while keeping you safe to prevent you from risking an injury. She is the best!

  • A. Sanders

This location is one of the largest in the valley, as well as the newer locations. My only dislikes are the same varieties of equipment and their issue with providing proper running water. They horde the paper towels so I don't feel leaving the restroom or anything is safe. You can't properly wash your hands.

  • Ru D

This gym is incredibly well-fitted. Dry saunas, lap pool, huge functional training space, squash rooms, basketball court, 6 squat racks I believe, spin classes, hottub. Everything is nearly brand new. BUT WHY DO YOU CLOSE AT 5PM ON THE WEEKENDS?? Those are terrible hours, please be open until at least 8pm.

  • Emmanuel Mebasser

Ela was really great in my personal training session. She was very thorough in assessing my fitness needs and was very encouraging and friendly. The workout she put together was really good and I could tell it will really help me for my goals. The gym is really nice and the staff are very friendly.

  • martin yaney

I'm on the fence about LA Fitness, and gyms in general. They all want to sell you personal training, and I feel like I just don't make enough money for this service. The gym is clean and the machines mostly work, the elliptical machines sometimes don't show full resistance. Everyone is very nice

  • Satis Hill

Being a heavy lifter… THIS GYM DIES NOT HAVE ENOUGH BENCH BARS to equip each machine. Literally it is musics chairs to find a 45lb bar to use. It’s a terrible experience and will not recommend anyone going this gym. 17 stations that require a 45 lb bar but only have 12 bars Worst gym ever!!

  • Werner Romero

Great gym, staff is bot so welcoming tho. In the bathroom, at least on the man side, the is no paper towels, curtains in the shower, and barely water to wash your hands and teeth. Besides that, the equipment is not bad, some missing but good enough. Happy training!

  • Sabrina's Fight Club

If you actually want to swim laps, find a different gym. This pool is mostly for elderly water aerobics. The water is kept at over 80°, people walk around in every lane, so if you actually want to swim, you have to dodge around people just standing there talking.

  • Scott Wolff

It's "ok", parking is decent and all around It's "ok". They do have a play area for kids that is nice and convenient. Good variety of stores real close and if one needs to take the metro bus.. both city bus and orange line train practical drop you off at the door

  • Anahera

I haven't been to this LA fitness in a while. They removed the heavy bags and never put them back, so I'll probably avoid coming here in the future. Too bad, it was a decent gym, but I want a gym I can do ALL of my training in. I'll head back to UFC Torrance.

  • Jerry Jarak

Nothing worse at the gym; you want to use a machine, but others are sitting on the machines looking at their phones. I don't expect the gym trainers to police the machines, however signs could be posted to remind users to get off the machine when not in use.

  • Aleck Pups

Good cean gym with many choices if machines and free weights. Unfortunately, one has to wait sometimes for an available machine. However, other gyms are much worse and this one is well ventilated, has friendly staff and has plenty of convenient parking.

  • HipHopDance Eliana

This gym is so big. It has Raquetball courts, and I played volleyball with my dad there. I like how there is a nice pool and jaccuci. I always meet someone I know here lol and its so convenient Costco is right across the street. The facility is clean.

  • giovanni bautista

EVERYTIME I’ve came , there’s a mess everywhere , half the machines don’t work for weeks now , no weights are ever re racked . Almost impossible to comfortably work out here . Staff could do better by hourly checking to re rack weights and clean up .

  • Antonio Bshara

Receptionists have one job to do, smile and scan your code they still don’t do it right; always have a straight face. This gym closes an hour before all other LA fitness gyms although it’s the busiest among all. Beside that everything else is great.

  • B13

A disabled man in a wheelchair enters the swimming pool and jacuzzi every day with sneakers, and walks in the water with sneakers! I have informed the front desk and the manager about this issue many times, but unfortunately, no action is taken.

  • J S

Nice clean gym. They have a huge main floor. I haven’t had a problem finding a machine to work on. The pool is decent. Customer service has been really good. The only thing that was confusing was the different deals you get online or in person.

  • Erion Muca

Pro: the gym is big and updated. Cons: 1.Poor management, most of the staff here are insufferable. 2. They do a horrible job keeping the gym clean 3. This gym does not care about people or service but only about getting more members.

  • Kirt Kingzett

Nice, newer gym, fun people watching. I do like this gym when it's not busy. Great free weight section. There's also a pool that I've never been in. They do classes for different types of workouts, they also have a spinning classes.

  • Jennifer Javier

It was nice, now is not, they don’t turn on the sauna in the mornings which at 5 am is not going to get warm fast.. they don’t have paper towels any more, weights are all over the place. We pay monthly I believe we deserve better.

  • Marc Gallemore

My least favorite LA fitness, I’m not a fan of the layout nor the locker room. The locker room looks outdated and last I went the steam room was out of order. The best one in my opinion is off of Hollywood Blvd above the Target.

  • S L

Unfortunately, the gym became the trashiest LA Fitness in LA and surrounding areas. Armenians smoking inside the facility. Complained multiply times, zero response! Not healthy environment at all! Not going anymore! Ridiculous!

  • Rodrigo Brand

I've been to a lot of gyms all over LA. This one so far is the best one for the price offered. Clean, spacious, good equipment, the pool is not crowded and the staff at the front desk is genuinely friendly. Good work, guys.

  • Hernan Vela

Great gym! Huge gym. Got a 3 day free pass on their website. Equipment and machines were really nice too. Even though the gym is huge it can get pretty packed after 5 pm. Still, enjoyed my workout. Would highly recommend.

  • Shawn M Harvey

One of the best LA fitness locations I have ever visited. Plenty of equipment with plenty of space and a visually clean swimming and whirlpool area. Oh yeah they have a real food menu like eggs and meat and beverages.

  • Anonymous 1

This gym is NOT enforcing masking policies. 80% of the members do not wear masks while working out and they could not care less. If you’re high-risk or susceptible in any way, I suggest not coming to this location.

  • Adrian T

I’m glad gyms are back after covid. & this is a good one! It’s big, lots of weights, cardio equipment, clean, friendly staff & lots of free parking! I’m happy to be back! Let’s get it! …

  • tereza voloshyna

I was shocked by the situation that had developed in this club, I came to work out and warm up in the sauna and ended up leaving home without sneakers, in a bad mood, because my sneakers were stolen! …

  • Emily Stain

Fantastic and comfortable gym , very clean and everything is new ! I have never been there and waited to long everything always available. The steam room and the pool is great and beautiful people!!!

  • D.S Film Production

La fitness is a good gym. They need to buy some more equipment because honestly there just isn’t enough. The hours are just terrible. 11pm on weekdays and 8pm on weekends is pretty bad.

  • Elizabeth Salmeron

Rosa C. is a huge asset to this gym. Her classes are the best I've ever taken. I keep coming back for her Monday and Wednesday classes. Please give her a raise! She's incredible.

  • King Ajibola

My rating is actually 4.5 stars. This is definitely my favorite LA Fitness but a few equipment swaps and a track turf installed around the green turf would make this gym perfect!

  • Juan Carlos Salazar

Staff is very professional & friendly. They are always trying to keep the gym looking clean. They do a tremendous job considering how many people are there working out.

  • Stephen Larsen

Really good service and plenty of equipment but the squat racks/deadlift platforms are always full and busy. I feel like there needs to be more to meet the demand.

  • Jessica Ma

Five stars for Mel specifically if ur gonna do a fitness eval do it with him; he really tries to get you the best deal and he’s very well rounded and knowledgeable

  • D D

Lily is so helpful. She greets with such enthusiasm and makes every visit memorable! She goes above and beyond to help members

  • Mark Chapman

I love this gym to be honest. It has all the equipment you need, basketball court and swimming pool and tons of classes

  • Steve Salo

The equipment is better maintained at this location than at their gym on Victory Bl in North Hollywood.

  • Zalza818

Always overcrowded The pool is always empty, and there is no security to enforce rules

  • Adriana Velasquez

Not as good as the NOHO west but good. Machines are older but overall really good.

  • Daniel Sevilla

Love the open feel of this gym, plenty machines and ginormous green area!!

  • Paz ATONE

Jayleen help us to sign up and she was super helpful!! Amazing

  • Fher Martinez

Always clean , a perfect place to enjoy your workout!

  • Johnny

Nice equipment. Not packed if you go early

  • Raul Garcia

Not bad. Restrooms are always clean :)
