I’ve been going to Leela Eco spa for the past 7 years and after today I will NEVER return. I came to the 17th Ave location and was booked in with Leah. This was the worst massage experience I’ve ever had. When you pay someone to give you a massage you hold a certain amount of trust that when they touch your body it is with the intention of making the customer feel relaxed and comfortable. At first this lady was putting a lot of uncomfortable pressure on my leg and asked her for less pressure. When she moved to my back she put all her arm weight on and whatever technique she used it felt like she was crushing my back. I was contemplating ending the massage then and there but thought maybe I just need to give it a fair chance. When I asked her to lessen the pressure again she got MORE intense with the pressure. When she moved on to my neck she was pinching my neck -this was not pleasant. I started to realize this lady might be pretty angry as she was bending my legs super fast after moving the covers aggressively. She then ended the session by slamming the door. When I opened the door afterward she asked how I was feeling and I said my shoulder is actually spazzing out. She didn’t appear to have any empathy and told me to put a heating pad on it when I get home. When the receptionist asked how was it I awkwardly told her it was a not good experience and she was understanding as it seemed there have been complaints before. I felt horrible for this nice couple waiting as Leah and another RMT walked in to see them, and only hoped the next client wouldn’t have the same experience. To put it into perspective, even a mediocre massage which is a 5/10 I wouldn’t even complain about. This was a 0/10 because it was clear that Leah the masseuse had I’ll intentions toward her client (me) and had caused me discomfort and pain. What a nightmare. And management still let her touch another person after me, even after I’m not the only one whose complained about Leah. Her profile says she relieves stress and pain? This was the opposite of soothing, welcoming, relaxing. What an absolute psycho

The building is very nice and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. The girls completing our pedicures were very nice and overall the pedicure was done well. The only complaint is that unfortunately even with the drying spray their nail polish takes at least an hour to dry. I was in with my elderly grandmother and young daughter, we weren't advised of the wait times on the nail polish until the pedicures were completed. We were unable to stay at the stations since they had their next clients coming in. We waited for the waiting area to clear so that we could sit and wait a bit for our nails to dry prior to putting on our shoes. Unfortunately, we were unable to wait a full hour within the salon/remain in the flipflops given that we had a lunch reservation, my grandmother could have tripped and gotten hurt in the flip flops and i could not drive in them. We had to put our shoes on, when I returned home approximately 4 hours later the nail polish was still gummy. All 3 polish jobs didn't stand up. For $200 our toes look less than stellar which is disappointing, had we been advised of the dry times in the beginning we would have opted either away from polish or to shellac. Nothing against the girls working again, they were wonderful but it is slightly disappointing given it is a substantial amount of money to walk away with nails that now look like my 7 year old completed on us.

I normally don’t leave reviews but I decided to write this one because I’ve noticed it’s been a continuous thing every time I come in. I usually come in to buy some product they carry and I’ve come to leela for massages and facials many times, particularly at this location every time I have come in, the staff members are so rude. I work in customer service so I understand and I try to make sure I’m not THAT customer (if ykyk). But every time I’ve noticed this, it’s like they are inconvenienced to be dealing with customers. A particular situation that recently happened was, I came in to buy some products and I guess I had spoke a little more quiet than intended and the girl working literally yelled “I can’t hear you so you have to speak up”. My boyfriend was even caught by surprise by the way she yelled it so aggressively. I get if you can’t hear me yes say that but there’s a polite way to speak to people, “I’m sorry I didn’t quite hear what you said” or “sorry would you mind repeating that I couldn’t hear what you said”, are some examples. It is disappointing to visit a place and feel uncomfortable every time you go in for something.

Came here to get the brows lamination, tint and wax done Upon arrival the front staff was FANTASTIC. 10/10 there My brows on the other hand… I was very excited to get this service done because I NEVER pamper myself. I felt like this was going to be a great and I deserved it after a stressful year. But I ended up being more disappointed and sad about it. The lady plucked off and cut off so much of my right eyebrow that I have to color in the bald spots. They’re two different sizes now. The left eyebrow is great, it barely got plucked and she said she “evened them out”… which is the opposite of what she did. I was waiting for the Waxing to start as that was the package. She then said “someone turned off the wax so I have to pluck, ok?” At this point she already started the plucking so I felt like I couldn’t just say no now. I wanted the waxing as that was the service I was paying for. There wasn’t an apology or anything. I would recommend any other service than this one. The spa itself with design and front staff is fantastic. Eyebrow lamination and wax and tint.. 0/10

I relocated from Toronto to Alberta and my co-worker recommended me this place. From start to end, I had such a great experience here. The only service I got here was sugaring and waxing so I'll base my review only those services for now. Ann did my services with me and she was really friendly and made the whole experience smooth and easy for me to handle. The ambience in the rooms are the perfect condition for waxing, not too hot or cold and for someone like me who sweats really fast, it was perfect. Ann also gave me a lot of useful tips to keep my skin hydrated from dryness and some useful after-care tips for both sugaring and waxing. She is amazing at her work and makes sure to leave behind no patches of hair. The reception are all very sweet and welcoming. It was a friendly and familiar atmosphere overall and it was perfect for me who was out of city. I will be making this place my go-to wax/sugaring location and I am so glad to have found out. Thank you to everyone at Leela for such a splendid day! Natalie and the receptionists are also amazing!

I have had eminence signature facial probably over a 100 times now at many different spas and locations, I love the products they are amazing, but this 100 dollar facial left something to be desired, my girl was lovely enough as a person, but the facial was lackluster. It was the first time someone gave me a eminence facial with gloves on and well it was not enjoyable, there was no real discussion about my skin, and the whole thing felt very rushed we started at 11:05 and we’re done by 11:50 that is not an hour. You used to also get a beautiful shoulder neck scalp and arm and hand massage I got a quick once over on each arm and hand. And the spa experience it’s self is clinical, no nice waiting room, with cozy robs and slippers, soft music, none of that. I just guess I’m confused as to when 100 dollar facial became so generic. There are other businesses offering eminence facials so I will be trying somewhere new.

Great vibe and ambience. The staff are lovely and the store is very clean. Sadly, my pedicure was disappointing, as my feet are still very rough and hard, very little callous was removed. The esthetician cared more about my polish and nails than my skin. The "massage" was just rubbing in lotion. I came in after the client beside me and was done before her. I feel a little ripped off to be honest and my feet are left scratchy and uncomfortable. With that being said, I had a massage and it was pretty good. I feel it is unfair to give a 3, as the massage made up for it, but I was a little rushed in between the pedicure and massage. I was given forms to fill out for the pedicure, after it took place and the form for a massage beforehand (totally fair) but filling out the forms cut into my massage time by about 10 minutes.

A little disappointed. I went in for a pedicure with a gel polish. The entire procedure went by a little too quickly for me, I think the massage was about 30 seconds for each foot. At first glance my pedicure looked good under their dim lights but when I got home I noticed that the polish was straight and uneven and a little transparent. When I was at the spa there was a poster for a free mimosa with a 60 minute session. I also asked my esthetician if I qualified for a free mimosa and she said yes, so I ordered one. Then I went to pay only realized when I left that they had changed me for the drink the said was free. EDIT** I read the mimosa poster wrong and it was only free on Mondays, so that was my mistake!

Service lacked! Will never go back!! The roads were terrible, I wanted to let them know I was running late. I called twice and no one would answer the phone. Then they texted me asking if I was coming or not. When I got there I told them I called twice and no one answered and the girl at the front was clueless. I booked online for a 75 min massage and because I was late they took 15 mins out of the total time. I was confused because when I booked online it showed 90 min window and when I asked what about those extra 15 mins the RMT said last 15 mins are for me to clean up. Why even bother putting that on the website during booking? Made no sense! No clarity and moreover no communication between staff.

I visited Leela Eco Spa on 17th Ave for the first time, booking a 90 minute couples massage for myself and my partner for his birthday. Our RMTs were Gladys and Marphiene and they were absolutely fantastic! The experience was absolutely wonderful, relaxing and much needed. Thr aesthetic of this spot is very chic and you can even enjoy a cocktail while you wait or during other services like mani's and pedi's. We both highly recommend these two if you're looking for specific RMT recommendations, however I feel like you won't go wrong with whomever is there. Best advice, if you're ever unsure, give them a call and let them set you up with someone they feel best matches your needs.

I’ve went back and forth between saying something and just moving on, however I have now been brought to another level of disappointment. Booked for the date night package, massages were fine, nothing special. The pedicures however were horrible, my water was cold, our feet were still rough, and my toenails were cut so short even though i came with them shaped; I now have an ingrown toenail which is what pushed me to post this. To top it off, there was a fruit fly in my wine and when I brought it up, it was a laughing matter to the receptionist! “Oh I hate when that happens” then laughs. Highly do not recommend, especially for the price.

All I can say is wow! Went for a massage at 17th Ave location with Christa. Firstly, wine wednesday is a thing that I needed in my life a lot sooner (any service purchased/booked on a Wednesday comes with a complimentary beverage) and the massage I received was one of the best massages I’ve had in a long time. Christa has 17+ experience and genuinely listens and explains what muscles are what and why they are sore and all her explanations were spot on. The room smelt absolutely amazing and she really focused on the back of my neck and head which is always a favorite. Definitely need to book again.

I moved to calgary 5 months ago after working with the same esthetician for 18th ads in Halifax. I was so nervous to try someone new. I booked at Leela Eco on 17th on a recommendation from a friend. I booked with Young and I was so happy after that first appt I’ve been coming back ever since. Young is so talented, very focused on the customer being happy and excellent at what she does. In fact, both my daughters started coming as well and love this place and especially Young. Thank you so much for your attention to detail Young. I am so particular and you have made me so so happy. Thank you!

Came in yesterday with my boyfriend for massages and pedicures. Britt did my massage and was wonderful. I told her it was my first time and laid out step by step on what I was supposed to do and what she will be doing. Rachel did my pedicure & Brittany did my boyfriend’s. They were lovely & very sweet. They also knew it was both mine and my boyfriend’s first pedicure & our anniversary. They were so warming to us about it. The receptionist made us feel welcoming right when we stepped foot in the store & switched with another receptionist when we came to pay. They were both oh so great.

Beautiful spa and friendly staff, but I strongly discourage getting any nail services done here beyond a basic mani/pedi. I recently got the most expensive shellac manicure of my life here (after receiving a gift card from someone) and it barely lasted a few days - all of my nails started peeling despite being very careful not to damage the manicure. I wound up going to another salon less than a week later to have them redone. I'm not sure if it's the polish being used or something else, but it was heartbreaking to see such expensive nails last mere days.

Came here with one of my girls for the couples massage and it was amazing! for the price of the quality of the massage i received was unbelievable. i recommend this place to all my friends and family! from the lady at the front to the masseuses to the nail artists, everyone was very accomodating and very professional. I also got an AMAZING PEDICURE from Young-ae! i've been to many different spas in calgary for pedicures (lavish nails, metropolish, exquisite, ad many more) and Leela Eco Spa on 17th was the best hands down. I cant wait to come back!

Where to start… you feel uninvited the moment you walk in. Wait time over 10-15mins to get receptionist’s attention. Once you check in they don’t walk you through the process instead you are questioned like you are some kind of culprit in this dark room. Not to mention the ladies in the manicure and pedicure section, showing signs of privilege and audacity for no reason whatsoever…LOL. Just FYI the owner of the Leela Eco Spa is an Asian for those Prejudiced nut heads who work in the Mani and Pedi section. Customer Service -1.

Very disorganized team- I tried booking for a group of 5 for Mother’s Day weekend through their group email a month in advance and they did not reply. I called the spas 4 times with everyone saying to use the email and that they are sure that they will accept my group but just to wait for confirmation. I emailed again and sent a message through their online portal but nothing. A week a half before Mother’s Day they told me that they can’t accommodate my request. Very frustrating experience and now all other spas are booked.

I recently had a massage here and I have nothing but great things to say! After a few schedule changes (which they were great at communicating with me!), I got to my appointment with Dusti and she was so amazing! Very calm and relaxing and made it the perfect environment. I had a 90 minute full body massage where she also focused specifically on where I was hurting or felt tension. Made all the areas of my back pop and it felt SO relieving haha. Overall a great experience and I would easily go again! Thanks Leela & Dusti

Very attentive staff. I started with an hour massage. He addressed my concerns, and I felt so much better no more achy muscles and my feet which are arthritic - I have not suffered any cramps for two days so far-which are a four or five time a day occurance! He was excellent. I then went for my facial- well, I have gotten compliments on my skin - it is more even brighter and pores are less noticeable. She was also excellent. Not to mention I walked out reading 0 on the stress scale! Thank you so very much.

I had my first facial here with India the other day and it was simply amazing! I originally booked for an acne facial (thinking this was what I needed) but India quickly reassured me that she didn’t think this was a major concern for my skin and redirected me to a facial that would better suit my skincare needs/goals! Her head massage was to die for and if I could afford a facial once a week I would be booking India!!!! Looking forward to my next visit and to see my skin transformation with Leela Eco Spa!

I went to Leela Eco Spa on 17th Ave for my first ever facial. I didn't know with a facial you get a hand, neck and head massage so that was an awesome surprised. My esthetician Anne even let me see all the gross stuff that came out of my face and will definitely be implementing some of her suggestions to help my skin with any sun damage. Ashley was working the front desk and she was super friendly and helpful, even opened a new bottle of champagne for me. Would give this place a 10/5 if I could.

Amazing service! Have been here twice for a pedicure and the staff have been welcoming and friendly both times. Both estheticians were detail oriented and through. Most recently I was given a complimentary mimosa for waiting ~5 mins for my apt to start - normally something like this would be overlooked at another spa but here they really do go above and beyond to make you happy. So refreshing given the state of a lot of other similar spas these days. I will continue to come back!

Very disappointed, came here for a bachelorette and it was very disorganized. The one nail lady got up every 5 minutes to stand in the back room, she would only do half the job as the other lady’s would give the full experience, the other manicure and pedicure lady’s did great. When going in for a massage they would cut the appointment short. Would not recommend for a group booking. Very disappointing especially for the prices that are charged.

Alexis is amazing at Leela Eco Spa on 17th. I usually feel worse and more sore after massages but after getting a massage with Alexis, I felt so refreshed and pain free. I suffer from back pain and sciatic pain and Alexis knew exactly how to soften my tissues and muscles. She is very knowledgeable and just amazing. I took my mother to see her too and my mother said it was the best massage she had ever gotten. Thank you Alexis :)

I came here for the first time with my sister and we both had an amazing experience! We got the gel manicure and regular pedicure both with added parrafin wax. The two technicians we received were so precise, didn't rush anything and excellent at what they do. I'm very happy with the service and results we received and not to mention their happy hour! I'll definitely be back and interested in their other services as well.

Winter is dragging on, as it does in March. I treated my mom to a manicure while I had a pedicure (don't judge - they were warned that my feet could pluck a fish out of a river after a long winter). Great mimosa while waiting. Super friendly staff. Comfortable. Mom's happy with her nails and my feet emerged from under their layer of dry skin. Guys, they have a pedicure for us. Check it out and you'll feel brand new.

I got the body wrap and facial package with Ann. She was amazing! It was my first time doing a body wrap, but she walked me through all the steps and was very gentle. The facial was really informative. At a couple points, she gave me a little scalp massage and I think I transcended into the astral plane. Fantastic experience. I had a difficult week leading up to this, and came away feeling so much better.

I treated myself to a spa day for my birthday which included a massage, facial and body scrub. All treatments were AMAZING. The ladies were very knowledgeable, excellent at their craft and truly provided the most relaxing experience one could have. From the moment I walked into Leela Spa, I was treated like a queen. I absolutely love this place and will definitely be back.

My girlfriend and I went for a couples massage and she ended up walking out of there in tears unable to move her head. We came for some relaxation after work and she ended up leaving with a neck injury. The staff were very unbothered with the severity of the pain they inflicted on her and made no attempt to rectify the situation in any way. I would give 0 stars if I could

I’ve been visiting Leela for a number of years for various services, today was for a pedicure with Kim and it was stellar. She took her time, I was made to feel welcome and so relaxed it was just phenomenal- Thank you Kim SO much your quality work and attention you are such a gem. Props to the ladies on reception too they were also v sweet and provided amazing service.

I saw Nicole for a customized massage and it was the best massage I’ve ever had. Immediately recommended her to multiple people after - she was so lovely! Knowledgeable, great massage, and took the time to make me feel comfy and chat to me about what I was wanting. Really made it a great experience, if you go (you should, you won’t regret it) - highly recommend her!

My first time at this spa on 17th Ave and it was very clean, aesthetic, and relaxing. Cindy at the front desk was very kind, she offered me drinks and was very friendly! I took my niece in to get her nails done for her 16th birthday, I got a massage while she got her nails done...the spa is beautiful, perfect ambience and feel for a girl's day out! My massage with Alexis was incredible...deep tissue, therapeutic, and technical work that was exactly what I needed. Will 100% be going back. And my niece LOVED her nails!

My mom and I had a great experience getting pedicures at Leela on 17th Ave! The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The ambiance was very relaxing (love that it’s all decorated for Christmas). We enjoyed a drink and complementary snacks during our pedicures! I had Kim for mine and I am so pleased with her work! Can’t wait to go back!!

The facial was calming and relaxing, and the person performing the facial was very professional. Any post concerns I had (not related to the service) were rectified immediately. They care about the overall experience of the client, not just the service itself. I would highly recommend Leela Eco Spa for all your personal treatments.

Wasn't worth the price. My best friend and I came in to get pedicures and the girls and salon itself were lovely, the quality is just not there for a $100+ each. Both of us left with flaws in our polish application and vowed to never go back. I honestly could have gone somewhere half as cheap or done a better job myself.

My experience at Leela was incredible from the start. Was greeted with a smile when I arrived and the positive atmosphere was apparent immediately. The massage session was incredible and the discussion regarding muscles, preventative stretching, and the treatment itself was the best. I highly recommend Leela Eco Spa.

Always great massages! They offer nice aromatherapy along with it, which makes for a nice sensory experience :) as someone with pretty a pretty bad anxiety disorder, i found this place to have a calm, welcoming atmosphere which put me at ease. I'll be sure to come back next time I need some stress massaged out of me

Had Facial with Kim at the 17th Ave SW location. Couldn't be happier and Kim was a lovely lady and a great conversationalist. She was very patient to explain the products that were used and their benefits and checked if I had any sensitivities. Thank you for taking great care and showing me a good time!

Honestly, WOOW, Massage was amazing. My therapist was so good,she knew where my pain was and worked... My facial uff so good and I love the way she answered my questions about my concerns on my skincare... Place is clean and very well decorated it is a perfect place for a Spa day with friends!!!

AMAZING experience! The staff was wonderful , had the pleasure of having Mia as our server. She 100% went above and beyond her job! And the drinks from Dawson are sooo incredible. I haven’t had a better Caesar anywhere else ! Can’t wait to come back when I’m down again and experience the live music

What a cool concept bar! The atmosphere was really chill. The bartender Dawson was welcoming, gave us a quick tour of the bar and spa area, I think it’s a great idea! I’m definitely going to bring a few friends for meetup and manicure. The drinks were really unique to, I really enjoyed my Caesar!

Went in hoping to get a simple pedicure. The white nail polish used was old and went on super streaky. The aesthetician tried to cover up the issue with top coat without even mentioning anything. The location was out of quick drying spray. A simple pedicure took over 1h40m. Would not return.

Absolutely great massage with my girl. I had great experience clean and Professional full 60 minutes No rush . Great relaxing music , I had shoulder pain before after massage I feel way better . Thank you to my Amy for the free massage Definitely I will come back in the same location ☺️

I tried Leela for the first time for a mani/pedi with Payton and was blown away by her attention to detail and how gentle she was for the whole process. Everyone who was working was so kind and definitely made my mini-birthday celebration very special! I wouldn’t hesitate to book again

Giving it one star because we were checked in and then were told to wait only to find out five minutes later that our masseuse had slept in. It was not an enjoyable experience as it was a couples massage, and we were looking forward to it, which put a dent on the day we had planned.

Use me as a precautionary tale, went in for a relaxing massage and I unfortunately left with a neck injury. Staff were very dismissive regarding my concerns, definitely will not be returning. If i could give 0 stars I would. Pretty disappointing and traumatic experience.

What an amazing experience! I have never undergone the spa experience before but was pleasantly surprised by the treatments I received. Kayla, Kim and India were exceptional. Thank you for helping me enjoy this special time. Highly recommend this spa. It was wonderful.

Khang is the best massage therapist I've been to! Very professional makes you feel very comfortable and is very skilled that what he does. I don't even live in the city but I'm stoked to come to Calgary so I can book with him. I would definitely recommend him! 10/10!

India was my aesthetician and I had an eminence custom organic facial and pedicure. India was a great esthetician, we had a great conversation, and I felt comfortable and relaxed. The atmosphere of the spa was relaxing, clean, and inviting. Will definitely be back!

First time visiting this place for my pre wedding prep! Love the interior and atmosphere. Had snacks and drinks offered. Wonderful service and efficient service from massage, manicure, to facial. I liked Leela spa offers all the services you need all in one place!

Love Leela! I only come here for my facials. India is a gem - she's super knowledgeable and kind, gentle (even while extracting!) and I always leave with my skin feeling incredible. She is the only person I trust with my skin in Calgary! Highly recommend Leela!

My Second time in Leela Eco Spa. This time my masseuse was Alexis. She was amazing. I told her specifically that I am having a problem with my forehand and knee. She worked on them and it was so nice. I am very grateful to her. Service is very good over here.

Came for a couples massage and enjoyed it. It is a pretty thorough massage as it hit places that normally don't get hit at other places. Worth a try if you are looking for a good massage. Plan to book on a Monday or a Wednesday for a complimentary drink.

Poor mani technique hurt my nails. Not what I have experienced here in the past. It also took so long; I was not the only customer that had this experience because the person next to me had to cut their session short because it was taking so long.

I came for a pedi and I absolutely love it here. The ambiance and the deemed lighting is just so relaxing than any other nail salon I have been to. I had Rachel to help me and she has this calming vibe too. I would totally come back!

As first time customers at this spa, my friend snd I were very pleased with our services and the added bonus of having a glass of wine while getting a pedicure was great. Very esthetically pleasing atmosphere and friendly staff.

Had a express manicure with Valyica, who is phenomenal. Such a super sweet girl. Very Beautiful atmosphere. Came in from out of town, and got to see where my daughter works. Can not wait to come back for more services.

Booked 90 minutes custom facial. She came in late. No shoulder or scalp massage like other locations when you get Facial. Did not even bother offering water. She also had long nails or something that didn't feel good.

This spa was extremely accommodating to our larger bachelorette party and they were extremely easy to deal with over email and the phone to book in! We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend to others!

I feel bad as i cannot recall the estheticians name but she was great. Honesty best pedicure I've had in the city since moving here 3 yrs ago - and very fairly priced. Love the atmosphere & moody decor as well.

My massage with Kayla was amazing. She works deep but if you need a little less in some spots she listens and accommodates which I truly appreciate. She is very professional and I will continue to go back.

I had a massage with Christa and it was wonderful!! Just what I needed after a stressful few months. The atmosphere was lovely too. I’ll have to come early next time and grab a drink before my treatment.

I had a great pedicure here! The service provider was very good my feet look amazing. I was in on Wine Wednesday so an added bonus was the complimentary wine with my service. I will be back for sure.

Friendly staff, have always remembered my name and said hello. Been going regular for a massage with Kayla, and have seen improvement in how the body feels, and sports improvement. Would recommend!

Riho, was so kind! It was a relaxing pedicure despite fighting traffic and parking to get there. I arrived late, but she gave me the full treatment in the time we had. I appreciated it so much!!

Booked a birthday pedicure here and was not disappointed. India was very professional and thorough. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who values good atmosphere and top service.

My wife and I were very happy with the service. Anna and India were great. Claire was an enormous help right from booking. Coffee was excellent and establishment was very well maintained.

I got a complimentary massage, it was amazing and exactly what I needed. I also decided to do a body scrub and the lady was so sweet and it felt really relaxing. Definitely recommend

India at Leela in 17th, is the only one I will let touch my nails. She is highly skilled and very friendly. The atmosphere of the spa is warm and welcoming.
