"A beautiful place for the puppers and pupperinos To enjoy off leash ,most people are friendly and had a good experience,on addition the georges river flows behind the dog park which is less than a minute ,good for them to cool down during summer ,it's high tide in the morning and low tide when the sun goes down, there is also a public restroom for use , pretty clean "
"Great off leash area for dogs"
"Lovely dog park, can be muddy after rain"
I grew up in the area and used to go down there regularly when I was young. I visited recently after having been out of the area for 15 years and the reserve looks very different. Some work has been done around the road at the little loop at the end and there is a sectioned off dog area but apart from that it looks like the place has very little regular upkeep. There are areas where the vegetation has grown out of control, there is rubbish dumped in places and now there is a chunk of the area that has been sectioned off and construction is happening (it looks like they're either extending the Nursing Home housing complex again or the residential area close by). Sad...
Great potential - needs some Council attention to maximise the potential of this great open space. no notice as to when the gate is opened /locked each day, but lots of signs warning of 'potential snake hazards'! Roadway in need of repair, recent attempts to resurface part of it failed - the potholes are back within a month as no attempt appears to have been made to repair the base course. In urgent need of lightning, so the park can be safely used in the late afternoon/early evenings during the winter months.

Great off leash area for dogs. Was great when council provided poopy bags for those who forgot. But now too much poo to take dogs. Also there is a wonderful nature reserve walk. You can walk the lake and see frogs, birds, lizards etc. Great place for a picnic and play a game of cricket, tennis, soccer, shuttle cock, etc. Good for photographers. Watch for snakes.
Lovely dog park, can be muddy after rain.
Playground
Fairly new, beautiful and gated playground.
Dog-friendliness
Decent sized with two agility training obstacles. Park benches, rubbish bins including doggy bags and water for you four legged furry friend.
Once was the best dog friendly park in SW Sydney. Now carved up by Liverpool Council and sold off to the golf club. Huge acres now fenced off and the public excluded. Very bad outcome for the community.
Nice today... nice friendly people, all dogs well behaved. Grass is well drained and not soggy.
Dog-friendliness
Always good except when bad owners don't control their dogs.
Been here waiting since 7am and the gates are still closed. It’s now 7.55am. This is not the first time but it’s never been this late to open. Not happy and neither are the dogs.
Recently upgraded and returffed, fenced dog park. Great for your fur babies and family friendly. Park also has a large grassy area, bush walks and easy access to the river.
Was going to bring the dog here for a run, drove in and the leash free area looked pretty small and it was pretty busy. Turned around and found another place.
Actually great to see a play ground for kids with disabilities and for the kids of Holsworthy area. Looking forward to some BBQs to be erected also
Great amount of space to let your dogs run around in the dog park New kids area outside. Fair amount of parking and very large walking/park
Fenced off dog area that was not very big. No other dogs or humans. Not very grassy/full of dirt and twigs. Probably won’t be back.
Good place to take dogs, plenty of space, fenced off dog area, new toilets. Saw a snake in the bush there so only 4 stars.
Nice nature spot with plenty of birds and facilities present. There is a bit of habitat disturbance unfortunately.
Good fenced off dog off leash area and picnic facilities but poor drainage makes for smelly muddy after rain.
good fencing , seats and water etc. albeit low lying so muddy. bring a towel or rag to wipe those paws
Good for dogs but could do with a little playground for the kids as it's such a large area
Great place for family and their dogs. Good playground. Nice and clean. No syringes.
Nice place to go & take your dogs Water drops so you walk along the sand bays
