Attention! Scam! False Advertising! Was at this location and was getting sour watermelon candy (plus other stuff) as it was on sale for $1.12 each. When I got to the self check out the candy rang up as $4.62. I tried to remove it (didn't want to pay that much) but couldn't. I asked for help and the lady that was working there said it by lbs not Each. I said no the sign says each and if it's by lbs I don't want it. The lady then tried to remove it but couldn't. She then told me to pay for it and go to customer service where they will refund me the $4.62 and give me the candy for free. Then she walked away. I paid full price for the candy and went to customer service. They claimed that EA stands for per/lbs. I said that's false advertising. They called a manager and I explained myself for the third time. The manager agreed that EA stands for each and not per/lbs and said that they will give me the candy for $1.12. I said the lady at self check out said I'll get it for free do to the issue. The manager said abrupt NO and I'll talk to her about it. After that I agreed to pay $1.12 and after paying the self check out lady walked by. I told her I didn't get the candy for free like she said and if the manager talked to her. She claimed the manager didn't talk to her. This location is not only doing false advertising. But, the manager team is obviously lying to customers and can NOT be trusted! Buyer BEWARE!
Loblaws, the grocery oligarchs of Canada. This location specifically has one of the rudest managers I've ever dealt with across any of the Weston family of businesses. The parent corporation publishes their flyers, but when the manager feels like the customer is saving too much money they decide that the flyer is incorrect, and won't honour the price they have advertised. This practice is known as a 'bait and switch', in that the store uses an advertisement to lure the customer, but once at the store the offer is revoked or not available. Loblaws also voluntarily participates in the Scanning Code of Practice program, but apparently that practice doesn't extend to fraudulent advertising? Deceitful business practices from a store that continues to show they don't care about their customers. I hope that this manager is provided some reeducation on how to engage with the customer, and what constitutes false advertising, because until Loblaws can guarantee that behaviour like this isn't an acceptable standard at their companies, I cannot in good conscience shop here or allow my friends and family to do any business with Loblaws/Shoppers/Weston Truly shameful behaviour.
I begun frequenting this location amid our first [ COVID-19-related ] lockdown, in March of 2020. While I prefer the location to the West, at 10 Lower Jarvis Street, the staff at this store are similarly pleasant and helpful, and it's kept very clean. There's come to be a good selection of alcoholic beverages on-hand, a relatively wide assortment of freshly-prepared meals, both hot and cold, as well as a variety of items that have been reduced for quick sale. Just as is the case with most - all of their other locations, this store is with tables and chairs, although I prefer the view of the lake one derives from utilizing those on the 3rd floor of the store at 10 Lower Jarvis Street. If one required a greater number of options alcoholic-related as to accompany the food items they'd purchased here, there's also an L.C.B.O. store on the South side of Lake Shore Boulevard East - which this store borders to the North. Not once have I had difficulty finding a suitable parking space. Notable attractions within the vicinity include the Leslie Street Spit / Tommy Thompson Park, The Beaches and, of course, the bike paths. Devin B.
I just have to share how incredible my experience was at this Loblaws a few moments ago. I went in searching for one item. She overheard me asking someone else where the item was and offered to take me because she was heading that same direction. Once we were there, there was only one of this item left and I needed more than one. We said we'd meet back at the customer service. I took a bit longer than anticipated as I realized I needed another item. While I was looking for it, she paged me overhead to meet her at the customer service counter as she had found more of the items out back. While I was there, I had mentioned how I got a bit lost trying to find that last item. Low and behold, she goes and finds it for me to bring to customer service. I was so blown away by her customer service that I had asked the man at customer service who the manager was, so I could let them know she was doing a great job. Low and behold she is the manager! Thank you for your kindness and for going above and beyond for me :)
It’s great we get our groceries delivered to our door but the issue now is becoming their time slots mean absolutely nothing. Not once but always, my groceries come late and, they shift the blame on their third party drivers. Why have time slots if you’re not going to deliver between those times. This time the driver lost my address and brought my groceries back to the store, maybe look for a new delivery service? They did compensate me for the returned groceries but most times if the delivery makes it past the delivery time they don’t compensate.
1. How should I know best before date on donuts if there is no any information about it? 2. Be careful when you want to buy oranges, it can be spoiled. 3. Months ago I bought a bottle with 100 vitamins, which expired in 40 days (I need to take one vitamin for 1 day) . I returned it and get my money back, but I don’t have a desire to return to the shop firstly to buy, then to return! Manager should pay attention on date of expiration on all things in this shop!!!!
Low marks to only like the new renovation. Almost got ran into a large hydraulic lift when said staff turned his head to talk to another staff member. Not paying much attention. Then, in the bakery , I asked a young man where to find my Ace bread. He called it a bun, and then I said a baguette ! Then he then kindly showed me. Attitudes not needed. Just some help. Trying to find my way around a store I have not been in over 10 years or less.
Gr8 location, size & assortment of selection. The Joe Fresh located inside is open as l8 as the main store (Loblaws), but staff in it finish an hr or more b4 closing time, so purchases/exchanges then have 2 be handled in the main area or customer service (outside of J.F.), & because there's no associates 2 assist customers after certain times, the fitting rooms are not accessible at that point. But all in all, this is a gr8 location.
Huge selection of groceries they pretty much have everything tons of gluten free and organic items. They have fresh fruits peeled and sliced ready for you to eat and a hot kitchen serving fresh food the store itself looks aesthetically very nice and clean and the quality of food is better although you will be paying more for most things maybe about an extra dollar or 2 for something you could find at Nofrills.
A large supermarket with lots of staff and plenty of selection. Nice displays, and everything appeared fresh, neat, and clean. There are lots of food options for lunch and dinner with a few tables to sit and eat. Medical centre offering various services within. Free parking lot outside. The only negative is the cost of everything compared to cheaper places. We all need a little break with these food prices.
Very large and spacious store. Featuring not only groceries but also hosting a Starbucks and Pharmacy inside it. Prepaid meal available , ranging from salads and pastas to chicken, rice, beans and more. Option to customize your meal priced at $2.29 per gram. Dedicated section for sushi , flowers , butcher and fish market Ample parking and diverse shopping experience
This is a review for the dry cleaners, do not go.. If I can give them 0 stars I would… Received my jacket back full of bleach stains on my hood. The price to wash a long down jacket and a super puff shorty was $180. Which seems pretty pricey in my opinion. I am just so sad.. that I went for a wash just to refresh my jacket for the winter and received it back full of stains.
It was a nice to walk in the store and see everything nice clean and well displayed that kind of appeals to people our eyes are the first to see I didn't buy much but I bought what I needed and it was there and yeah and it was nice and fresh so I'm happy I went to visit a friend I don't live down there but I brought things with me and yeah it was good
Went to the garden center on Saturday morning, May 6, 2023. Was highly impressed by one cashier. She was working on the other cash counter ( cash only) and noticed that my cart was full of plants. She took the initiative and organized all of my plants by putting them in a case- Wow Thank you. …
A great big and fun store with tons of selection. Mostly go there for the fresh prepared for which can sometimes be a bit hit and miss. Buying on price alone will encourage this. However, they arent shy to offer 50percent off for same day eating on some soon to expire items. Live music on the weekends.
I was there 9.16.2023 around 3pm. There were no baskets or carts in the returns. There was poo on the floor by the bread and everyone had rolled their carts through it. It also has a confusing layout compared to other loblaws however it is a very large store and has a lot of products.
EDIT...Great produce. Fresh baked breads and cakes. Very clean. Little pricey. No hand baskets to shop with for last few weeks. I shop using a walker. Putting my shopping in a bag & getting looked at like I was a thief by staff. NOT a pleasant experience. Guess I'll shop elsewhere.
Why has this store for over a month now hidden every basket? There are never any available anywhere, and no one has one. Do they think forcing people to use carts encourages further buying? It encourages not showing up if you’re going to be hassled with pushing a cart around.
As a consumer, it seems completely unnecessary that the markdown on near-expiration items changed from 50% to 30%. This will most definitely not help the amount of ready-made meals that are being dumped at the hot food counter. You’ll probably have more food waste now.
This grocery store has everything you can think of. And the cheese display case is so pretty amazing grab n go selections, Starbucks, flowers, home decor, wine, etc. Everything you could possibly need in one stop. It’s also so clean and always well stocked! …
We’ve been using PC Express since the beginning of the pandemic. It had been a super convenient service. Today we picked up our order and it was just a bunch of loose items thrown into the back of my truck. I don’t know how I’m supposed to
The most beautiful and resourceful grocery store in Toronto. The store is organized so beautifully. You can easily spend 2 hours here with just looking around the store. My only problem was with cashier they didn't seemed welcoming at all.
How do you rate a store that has so many things, beer store, wine store, retail, deli, bakery, etc. Combine all of its separate parts and I would say this is a very good store, the only downside is that the majority of their products are
Really nice large store with lots of variety. Can be pricey, but they do have some good deals. Difficult to shop a bit as they are in constant restock mode so there are dollies and large boxes blocking whole sections on a busy Saturday.
Nice store with a good selection. But please train your staff at the deli department. They don't have any idea how to trim, slice, and package the prosciutto. Is not the first time than that happen to me. I have to tell them every time
I had an amazing experience here today. I am recently getting into gardening as it is helping me find inner peace. I find it very calming. So I contacted a worker In the garden centre by the name of Kalieigh. She helped me pick annual
Store is fine, but they got rid of all baskets and now claim its because of theft? If its theft, it clearly isn't affecting Freshco across the street who is fully stocked with baskets. It's ruined my shopping experience as someone who
Eliminated reusable baskets for god knows what reason. Eliminated all dinner combos. Basically anything once of value, now eliminated. Anything to squeeze an extra dollar out of our cold starving hands eh Galen. Thanks for nothing.
It’s Loblaws - beautiful store, well stocked, have pretty much anything you could think of, massive parking lot, 2 Starbucks if shopping exhausts you or the final bill total makes you weak and it will, but it’s Loblaws
Very confusing layout for groceries and every visit I've had to wander around trying to find items. Nice hot food/take out section with seating, large joe fresh and very cute flower shop attached by the checkout.
A very big store. was so impressed with the bakery section and there has a seating area for a coffee and a cake. just love it. This store is quite different from the other loblaw very warm color
Check the best before date on everything this store is so cheap they don't put %50 off stickers on till its 2 days past its best before. That includes meat and premade meals.
All of their hot and ready to eat food is delicious. The pizza is my favorite. Their fruits and vegetables are always fresh, and there's a large selection.
Its loblaws. Clean and organized. Buts it prices are determined by an organized criminal syndicate. 18$ for 8 oz of beef. What the hell, It’s not Waygu.
Great Loblaws, HUGE! While not close, I’ve gone here many times and enjoyed a meal after shopping. Everything you need is here! Great grocery store.
Delivery is fresh, rarely need substitutions. Been a customer here for 23 yrs. No complaints, except inflation.
What a huge store. Regular loblaws stock but, great meat and fish section, fresh breads and desserts
Fantastically clean grocery store. Wish i had more time to go enjoy the plethera of deli delishes
This is a great location, and they have the best desert section. Great freshly prepared food
Clean store, great variety. Love shopping here for finer type foods or dinner parties.
