"This store is small no doubt but still you can fund the same deals as the bigger No frills stores, but the best thing that I like about this store was the service that I received when I was there that day , let me explain I had forgotten to take my high blood pressure pill that morning and I started to feel a bit bad , and then I remembered that I had forgotten to take my pill and there were lots of people in line waiting and I notice that It was a empty cashier line so I went there and then I noticed that It was it said she was closed and explain my situation and she understood and allowed me to pay for my items and was able to take my pill as soon as I got in my car, I really appreciate it as my body wasn't feeling good, so I just want to say thank you very much for allowing me to solve my problem, again thank you"

"We came here almost two weeks ago to buy some items before the sale ended"
I was at this no frills on Tuesday Aug 8 and tried to get some green sweet peppers that I saw for .10 cent a pound, I went to cash and the price I was told was a lot so I told the cashier that I saw the sign for 10 cents per lb. The cashier called someone in produce who said they are 99 cents per lb but then I directed him to the sigh below where the peppers are then he confirmed it said 10 cent meanwhile apparently the cashier was communicating with a manager on her cell phone then started telling me "a customer changed the sign" i started thinking how could a customer change the sigh, how would they know there were other sign behind the one the customers see, the sign didn't just say 10 cents but said green sweet peppers which I pointed out to her but that didnt matter. I know she was implying that I changed the sign but I ignored that implication because I didn't and wouldn't. They REFUSED to honor the10 cents she said based on what the manager said she can only give me the peppers for 99 cents per lb I couldn't believe this i just left the peppers and just started walking out and one of the other customers that was around hearing the whole thing said " they do this all the time" it is obviously not about customer service anymore it's about being greedy for money. They don't want to admit the sign error could be from one of there employee in the produce department but instead place blame on the CUSTOMER, very sad. I went back to this no frills on August 23 and happen to get to talking with a lady who told me she was able to get peppers for 10 cents per pound and she asked the STORE CLERK why they were that price she was told they have a lot and was trying to get rid of them. The lady said she saw that price a few days at the store so she bought and freeze. They choose to humiliate me by indicating a "customer" meaning me, changed the sign and REFUSED to sell me the peppers for 10 cents per pound as I saw it. I ended up leaving the peppers and walking out that day.
This is the worst cashier I’ve ever had an encounter with. A minor issue turned into a huge argument between her and I because she said i was being rude. She needs training because EVEN IF I was being rude, you don't go back and forth with a customer. She refused to cash me out on that BUSY evening holding up the lines. I requested to speak with a manager , Vito wasn’t there. Im POSITIVE thats why all of this transpired. Shift lead tried to mitigate the situation(which he did a horrible job de-escalating the situation) and told her to cash out my items and she refused. He then told her to sign off, she refused. Who’s the problem here? She held up the line and wouldn’t allow ANYONE to cash me out. I then asked her for her name and they refused to give it to me, i then decided to take a picture. She then approached me and threatened to call the police because i took her photo. They left me no choice. All because a bag of flour ripped while putting it on the belt, i told her I didn’t want it and she didn’t approve of my tone. I ended up leaving without my groceries. I can understand if she didn’t want to cash me out, but not allowing anyone to cash me out was unacceptable over a petty argument. If a cashier is going to throw a fit because a customer was “rude”, they’re in the wrong field of work! I want Vito to be aware of what goes on when he’s not around because the person who was left in charge did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, by not allowing anyone to cash me out and by telling me she’s not allowed to give out her name.
This store is small no doubt but still you can fund the same deals as the bigger No frills stores, but the best thing that I like about this store was the service that I received when I was there that day , let me explain I had forgotten to take my high blood pressure pill that morning and I started to feel a bit bad , and then I remembered that I had forgotten to take my pill and there were lots of people in line waiting and I notice that It was a empty cashier line so I went there and then I noticed that It was it said she was closed and explain my situation and she understood and allowed me to pay for my items and was able to take my pill as soon as I got in my car, I really appreciate it as my body wasn't feeling good, so I just want to say thank you very much for allowing me to solve my problem, again thank you.
This is a busy grocery shopping location. Extremely popular, so, try to visit on off peak hours. Not sure when those hours are as every time I go its crowded. Have patience, when checking out, although cashiers are very fast the lineups, which many times block the first part of shopping, is a challenge. Of course, like all No Frills you need to bag your groceries ( I do not like to do this). Parking lot is mayhem at times with impatient drivers. Seems worse since Tim Horton's opened up adjacent. And, you need to have change available to get a shopping cart, which is returned when bring cart back. In conclusion, No Frills generally very popular, city wide. High points are quality and range of products. But, as my daughter works on Avenue Road, I prefer that one for peace of mind and better shopping experience..
We came here almost two weeks ago to buy some items before the sale ended. Their flyer advertised Unico beans for $0.88 and it did not specifically say which beans were included and which were not. Needless to say it became a bit if a shouting match between myself and the cashier who insisted that I did not know how to read the flyer. I said to her that if it was the case that certain beans were not included, then it should have specifically said so. She was quite rude and clearly has no customer service skills. Will not be coming back to this location. Had she been a different person, she would have called the manager and had them honour the price without giving the customer a headache. Instead, we left whatever beans we picked up.
Poor & disorganised service. Had an item on the first page of their flyer for this week. Went first thing Thursday am to purchase. Was told truck was not in yet. Was told to come back later that day...Fine...Went back later & was told the truck never arrived yet. Told to come back tomorrow...Fine....Went back again today (THIRD time based on their instructions) and was told the skid was "in the back somewhere, but we don't know where it is". AGAIN told to come back later for a 4TH time !! You would think they would be a bit more organised on an item that they advertise on PAGE 1 of their flyer ! Come on Vito's, get organised. This No Frills = No Service...By the way Vito, your staff couldn't care less....
Convenient location, they often have deals that I though was awesome, but after critically looking at my money I spend there vs the quality of product even the sale items. It’s bit really that awesome. The food quality is really bad often. This is my opinion- but I ask all that shops there and other groceries to really pay attention to the food quality as well as the date and cleanliness. This location need to work on the cleanliness of the refrigerators, shelves and especially where meats and produce are located. And having polite staff would also help. Everything I mention was pre covid even so nothing has changed! Do better guys, this community supports your business!
Went in to purchase Royale Toilet Paper and stood there for 15 mins waiting for the Cashier and Managers to verify if I can “Use” my coupons. 1 person said yes, 3 people said no. There reasoning is that you cant use coupons on items that are on SALE. where does it state that on the coupon and flyer? I have been using coupons for years and never had anyone turn me down because of that reason. Completely absurd. Learn to be more educated on coupon usage, as its a widely accepted “currency”. Especially since the cost of living and inflation is so high already. Staff are jealous and envious that someone can get basic living essentials for cheap. Waste of my precious time
I want to give a shoutout to Salina (or Selena?) who helped me out a lot. We haven’t been to this store before and we didn’t bring change for the carts. She helped me deal with that issue. After that I asked her like 4 different questions about where to find things and she helped me with ease. Very helpful, kind and knowledgeable employee. Please let Vito know she’s an asset to the company and they’re lucky to have her! I gave it 4 stars because the store wasn’t stocked as well as I’d hoped and the selection isn’t as good as other stores. The store was clean and easy to navigate. Thanks again to Selina they are definitely the reason I will still go back to shop :)
Good sized store, but I expect a store of this size might run out of items on sale quickly (as is my experience with other similar sized stores), though I have not seen this to be the case yet. Staff packing things away are friendly and helpful. The parking is decent. There are more parking spots here than a some other No Frills I've seen, but there are quite a few other stores in this plaza as well; you may find it slightly difficult to find a parking spot. The lighting inside is noticeably darker than other stores I have been to, and is most noticeable in the isles. Checking out is generally a good experience; friendly staff are quick at checking items out.
I went there to get groceries and collected 5 reusable bags, I got home and found out that some of my items were missing, went back the next day with my receipt to prove I paid and told the truth about the missing items, they said they would check their CCTV and confirm, wasted my time and came back to say I bought the items quite alright and it showed I went with them, so no replacement. Awful service, at Walmart or Metro I would have gotten a replacement or refund, so bad I'd not have the items because they were missing from the shelves. No way!
I was in the area, saw a no frills decided to go shopping. I have a dollar in quarters, I figured I would grab a basket to go shopping I didn't need much. The cashier asked for $5 to get a basket, I said I just want it to shop, not to keep. She said no, when I asked another cashier to exchange the quarters for a $1 for a cart, she said I have to buy something for her to open the till. I walked out. Overcrowded and so unnecessary. I get the ease of baskets to and from the car, I had my reusable bags. I just wanted to shop for groceries.
Long line ups becuase of the covid changes. Senoirs now have wait extended times becuase the some smart guy removed the Express lane for 1 to 8 items. Just Imagine waiting in line with 2 items in hand and ten full shopping carts are in front of you. The line goes all the way to back of the store near the freezer section...Its Covid time Bubba, no one wants to stand in the line for 12 mins waiting to buy Milk. Use some common sense. I left the store twice and went the Walmart next door because of the long line up. Your losing
My mom's favourite No Frills! It's one of the smaller No Frills, but it contains all the basics my mom and you may need. The staff is always friendly and helpful, especially when you need an item in the milk cooker or off the top shelve or other items you may need! This location has recently be going through renovations. Looking better! I'm hoping the cashier's area gets enlarged as there always seems to be a line up when my mom and/or I go there. My mom would also like to have more handicapped parking closer to the entrance.
Standard frills. Some things are put up too high on the overheads--concerned about workers standing on top of the ladder (not to be stand on) as well as the top step. For those of you complaining about them getting more cashiers, that's all the staff they have to man the cash registers for those shifts; sometimes the cash office person in charge/book-keeper will take an extra lane. Shout out with the other customers---Vito's No Frills is lucky to have Selena working for this location.
As much as I like Vito, quality and cleanliness has declined drastically. The cashiers don't clean their Plexiglass partitions. On my last trip there, they were filled with dust and fingerprints. The one at my lane also had some kind of goo smeared on it. Produce bins were empty (late on a Tuesday morning). What produce was left was really unappetizing, mouldy, etc. I am.hoping this changes back to what it used to be, soon.
Terrible customer service. Cashiers screaming at customers on where to go. The person directing people to each cashier does not check if the customer before you is having an issue but will direct you there anyway, than your stuck waiting. Also, why don’t any of the cashiers ask if you have a P.C. Points card?? Would advise all the cashiers not to change their tone of voice on customers because Of the stores disorganization.
The employees all get to know the regular customers and they keep the store organized so it is easy to find what groceries you're looking for. The store is being renovated for even more convenience and all of the workers are friendly, assisting with carrying your bags/self checkout faster and showing you what you ask for right away. I love shopping at no frills a couple times a week especially for their discounted prices!!
This place has a small fruits and vegetables stand. Their hours of operation doesn't coincides with their website hours. Their weekends hours stated 9 pm close time but when i got there, they're already closed at 8:30. I even rushed to get there. This happened few times. They were even people tried to get in at that time but the door was already locked. They should update their website with the correct schedule.
This is one of the best no frills around. The store is clean and very organized. Most times it’s not busy at all and you will never miss a parking spot. I have been here a few times now and the most annoying thing is you wait in line for too long and because they mostly have 2 cashiers working. Management needs to do better if they don’t want to hire new employees invest in self checkout machines.
I rarely stopped going here due to the pandemic, but I slowing started to see some changes within the store, such as change in associate behaviours (Cashiers and stockers), and just the overall feeling of being able to get the products needed at home. I’ve used to Nofrills back in the day when I was working at a local community centre, and I can be safe to say that it’s still the same way now.
Nice place to go for quick groceries. They are more organized now but only the cart is not sure if its sanitized so better to bring your own sanitizer and do it. Other Noprils store they have people in the entrance door making sure that the cart get sanitize and also the hands. But Overall thanks everyone for the effort during this pandemic time. Keep safe.We will get through of this together
Look, its a smaller place that did renovate a few years ago but lines are still long and difficult to navigate when busy. Personnel on the floor is always willing to help but cashiers could smile and be a little more friendly... oh, and there are never any baskets upon entering!!! Always have to go around and get them from the busy cashiers... Parking is also tight but it's free :)
Can you imagine a grocery store without tomatoes? If not, come to this place. This location is possibly the most terrible no frills as the fruits and vegetables are never fresh. You barely find variety of fruits, and if you find them the quality is very low. I wasted my time few times to come to this place having rush to do groceries, but never again even if my fridge is all empty!
This No Frills is no frills. The parking always seems to be an issue as it's small and tight. I would say stocked pretty well except the refrigerator areas when there's a promotion on meats. I always find they NEVER have the sales products in stock or very low quantity. I also find the lines are always long too. I only go here when I'm picking up a few items and not a whole haul.
This store is hard to see accurate prices. Many fruits and vegetables don't have its price tag or has a wrong one. Furthermore, I've bought coconut milk and dog food already expired and had to come bag to replace them. Finally, if you don't look carefully when paying your fruits/vegetables, cashiers will charge you with wrong codes for these items and this happens very often.
Very crowded location with odd situations like people's paid for carts with groceries being stolen, and the parking lot is a zoo. The kid outside seems to be doing his best to sanitize carts and keep the outside clean, but it's fairly chaotic there and no social diatancing in place whatsoever as people just flood in the doors after 5.
Good, clean, large, and bright No Frills location, with PC products and typical (good!) No Frills prices. Produce selection is broad but quality on last visit was weak (may have been a weak time for supply). Parking is often tight, shopping cart deposit/unlock is a loonie, and there is no in-store butcher/fish market.
Its a nice little grocers to shop at.....during NON-peak times (i.e:weekend!!). They seem to forget that and are not equipped to handle the rush (i.e: short cashier staff)!! Good enough selection of fresh food. Stock staff needs to learn how to efficient stock shelves AROUND the customer or have it done overnight!
ALWAYS great deals here. It always has the advertised items in stock. The people that work there are very pleasant, approachable and professional, willing to help you should you need. It's also a great thing to see the owner, Vito, working around the store, it gives you the confidence that things are done right.
Has a great selection of international food. Always well stocked, organized, kept clean and wonderful staff! I have three no frills near me and this is the one I always go to although its a little further. Parking lot is horrible for those of us parking difficulties but manageable.....so far
This store understands the community very well and is respectful to the diversity of people who visit. The manager discounts products heavily when they approach their best-before date so that low-income people can purchase necessities while saving face and not having to accept charity.
Guys i make sure where im eating from.. This store stores water bottles outside the building left out for days in sun with other garbage products..plastic bottled water.... if they supply food like this i dont recommend buying products from this store.. i dont know how they store it..
I grew up close by this no frills and it was our go to grocery store when growing up. Took my elderly mother shopping as she still lives close by, I decided to buy some liverwurst. Only to find out when I got home it was expired. Staff should be more thorough on checking products
Hate this place fr I worked here worst experience of my life... they mistreat their workers and it's generally unsafe... also none of the food is good, there is nothing on the shelves, produce is all bad.... now there's a shoplifting problem too... liked my coworkers tho …
Fruit not fresh , went there to buy tomatoes but not fresh. I bought chicken drumsticks and it smelly bad, I still have to open the other chicken packages I bought and beef, hoping these won't smell. I will not go back in that store anymore. Disappointed …
Food seems fresh! It’s nice and clean but there aren’t any baskets. You have to get a cart and you need a looney to use it. There is only 1 line up to pay even tho there are like 3 cashiers open. Line up goes Up to the end of the grocery store and goes around
Small, not best organized, no that clean place. I understand it's a low end chain but still, compRing to NF on Bathurst and Wilson and to Centre st. In Thornhill.... its much lower standard. Also n9 soeciallity products reflecting the demographics of the area
I've been going here for nine months now and I haven't had any problems. There's a great selection of everything! But occasionally they run out of brown beans. Kind of a weird one but I notice because Mac & Beans is my typical quick go-to backup food haha.
Small no frills that is over packed with people bit most concerning is the expiry dates on many items. Yesterday, while at the cash i found one of my dairy products over two weeks expired. The last time i bought buns the expiry date was that exact day.
It's No Frills. Groceries are cheap and great have great deals often. My go to when I'm home for the weekend. My only disappointment is that they didn't play the No Frills Album over the loudspeaker (yes it's a real thing and it's surprisingly catchy)
None of the staffs no where the things are and really bad customer service. The staffs even don't know the place where the things are kept. The attitude of the staffs is not something we except from the people who are working in a professional store.
Small Parking lot, all vegetables and fruits are very expensive and some not fresh like green and red peppers romaine lettuce very small and yet cost 5.99 bread prices are ridiculously higher I was shocked how much I had spent for a little shopping
Came in 7 x over 3 weeks trying to donate 2$ to the help those who go hungry: no cashier ever asked if I wanted to & when I asked, none knew the code to enter. I finally asked a female manager, she said, I heard you & walked away ? ! Doesn't care.
Disorganized and discriminatory. Whether you deal management, clerks, or cashiers, everyones full of attidude and lacks knowledge of position. They often blame customers for their shortfalls. At least operate with some honestly and integrity.
Stock personnel need to know where products can be found. Cashier's should know when to call for more cashiers when it gets busy at check out. Manager was really nice to a group of kids on trip gave them ice cream sandwiches which was cute.
Kinda small for a grocery store. The fruit is not always the greatest quality and if you want half decent fruit tou have to be there first thing in the morning when they open, otherwise forget about it. Good for a quick grab but depending
How can we stop the spread of Covid if we aren't allowed to properly do groceries for others? Went to do groceries for myself and another coworker. Had oil on sale but they put a limit (not stated in flyer). I did 2 separate transactions
I thought to shop locally today at Vito No Frills . I know why I don't shop there. With so many small shops closed due to COVID 19 I would have thought that the big chains in Toronto would keep a limited of shoppers in their stores and
I have been to Vito's a few times before and my experience were somewhat pleasant. But my experience today was an absolute nightmare. I was second in line waiting on the cashier to cash out the customer in front.., But the cashier was
This location is always short on everything (1/2 empty shelves, no matter the day/time!), even items that I consider staples. Especially deficient when it comes to PC products, oddly enough!? Also, prices are very often at least 10%
Well stocked with advertised goods. Very clean store. Aisles easy to maneouver for wheelchairs and walkers. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Loads of parking. Lots of carts. Bright, well lit store. One of my favorites!
Good quality products. Some basic items like roti, butter were out of stock but it's much better then the nearest Walmart. The place is not tidy in itself. Good staff, ample parking, keep $1 change for cart if you need one.
This store is small in comparison to other No Frill stores. It is in a rough neighborhood. However; the store is clean and well managed. They carry a good range of fruit and vegetables. I enjoy shopping in this No Frill.
Good place to get your basic grocery items. However, very limited halal variety. Also a few basic like puff pastry rolls plain were missing. Anyway would like more gala variety pls and also Indian/Pakistani spices.
Was there on a Thursday evening at 5pm and will never be back. No baskets to carry my few items and only a couple, veery slow cash registers open compared to high amount of people in the store. Terrible experience
Great for a quick shopping trip as it is not an overly big store but has a little of everything. No baskets right now which is annoying as I don't carry change and the the shopping carts needed a loonie.
The clerk at the counter I met cared little about customers. She impatiently threw my bought items on the table. I wanted to learn about PC Optimum, but she just refused to explain anything
They don't bag your groceries. You feel like an idiot buying lots of items and having to bag your items as quickly as possible to make space for their other customers.
Probably one of the worst nofrills in Toronto. Small, poor stock, line ups, crowded, and poor quality fruit and veggies. Don't waste your time and money, go elsewhere.
This is place where you can get any item related to your daily need & Vegetables also. I am Indian and personally prefer here to do all my shopping for kitchen items
I really like this nofrills, they have a decent stock. I would suggest more cashiers to be open. Some days its a bit slower but regardless, I really like this place!
Really great food, and prices the shelf are always stocked, and the prices are what it is today... everything going up so shop according to what you need.
Since the last couple of months Vito's No Frills looks very organized and clean . They should remove the expired and rotten stuff from shelf more often.
It was my first time there and I absolutely loved it . Well done Vito i will definitely be back thank you for the great shopping experience …
Yesterday the cashier in the express line at 3pm was very very unprofessional and a racist lady I will never go back to nofrills at yorkgate mall
Love the people I work with they are great and you couldn’t ask for a better boss then Vito I’m really glad to have the opportunity to work here.
Always has minimal producy availability and items on sale are never in stock. This no frills is closest to me and I actively avoid going there.
Getting bad like all no frills sell rotten vegetables shelves are never fully stocked at all no frills Independent markets is so much better
Ita a smaller no frills, would need to be at the stores really early to get your hands on any items on sale. Otherwise a decent experience.
Price was good and comparable, Cashier was also polite and friendly. Just better to have some for persian guys. All in all was 5 stars.
I love to hit up No Frills early on a Sunday morning. Shelves are stocked and the store isn't busy. In and out in less than 20 mins!
Great place to get your groceries. It's clean and bright and the shelves are stocked. Great prices. Can't go wrong.
Shopped here for 6 yrs. Friendly and helpful staff. Pricing is avg., Good savings if you are a PC optimum member.
MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. MOST OF THE TIME THE PRICE TAG IS DIFFERENT AFTER YOU PAY. THEY CHEATING!!!
The workers are pleasant and very helpful. Place is clean and they put more cashers on quickly when needed.
I have been bringing my tires here for seasonal change. Fast, efficient. Come early they get very busy.
This is too much, every week, bread has this, no expiry date, no nothing, at st regis, yorkgate.
Small location but it has a bit of everything. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak times.
The store is easy to navigate and is tidy. The owner is great and the staff are helpful.
Most cashiers are very polite and nice but there are a few who are just mad at life.
Great prices and deals, specially on meet products. I wish if there was fresh deli.
I found the store to be very clean and well organized it's easy to find stuff
Fresh Vegetables and Fruits are available here at a cool prices …
Typical No frills! Well stocked and professionally managed by staff.
It's quite nice and clean and their produce is not bad at all.
Their specials/ sales is the cheapest grocery store in Toronto
It was a good place to find cheap groceries and good products
Owner is very engaging with customers. Good customer service
Way too over crowded, very small location and rude people.
Great customer service. Vito is always very helpful. :)
Most stuff was sold out, store is kinda dingy and old.
Small and cramped but has everything in stock usually
it's a great store cuz it has everything I need
The stuff is relatively cheap and high quality.
Busy , long line up at the cashier as always.
5 stars to Ryan, extremely helpful
Best place to shop your groceries
