Firstly, I adore their coffee for its superb smoothness and amazing flavor. However, they don't offer skim milk. The pastries were delicious, especially the truffle croissant, which was filled with truffle custard and topped with shaved truffle. I’m a huge fan of truffles so I was happy they offer such a unique flavour, It had a flaky, buttery texture and was surprisingly light, although the generous filling made it difficult to finish. The cinnamon roll was also excellent, with its fluffy texture. What bothered me was the absence of a menu to view their offerings. I wanted to order a sandwich, but I wasn't sure if it was available or if there was a menu to choose from. Additionally, there were no name or price tags on any items in their display, which required me to ask the girl behind the counter to explain each product. To make matters worse, we intended to dine in, but everything was prepared for takeout, including the wooden cutlery, which was disappointing as they didn't even provide utensils for cutting. Interestingly, they did sell plates, yet the coffee was served in cups, so it was perplexing why the food wasn't served on proper plates. They undeniably have great coffee and baked goods, but they should work on improving the overall customer experience. please don’t serve your pastries in takeaway tray for dine in as it’s ruined the ability to take proper pics, or even cut into your product to show case the inside layers Thanks Follow Ms. QUASON for more reviews
We visited this recently popular baking shop and cafe in last two Saturdays because the pastries are so good. Please also note that they close quite early around mid-day on Saturday and the pastries usually run-out by then. We have tried their most popular pastries like butter croissant, almond swirl, pistachio swirl and cinnamon twirl / bun. We also tried their ham and cheese croissant and a cup of cappucino. All of their pastries above are very good and buttery. We especially like the almond and pistachio swirl with generous butter and nutty frangipane inside and nut butter / chunks on the top. The ham and cheese croissant was flattened, but OK with nice pickled veggies. The coffee is also quite good. The place is quite small with more al-fresco tables compared to inside the cafe. The customer services are good and efficient. Prices on the menu are a bit high but still reasonable considering good quality of their products. You can pay with all credit card types with 1.2% additional surcharge, which unfortunately not declared by the cafe. This is a bit un-ethical in my opinion and I hope they'll put information around the cashier area so that customers can fully understand what they're paying.
BUY THE QUICHE: I just walked past this gorgeous little bakery in the heart of Parramatta. I was drawn in by the cute logo, the promise of baked goods and the bakers working with dough through the window. I bought the Quiche Lorraine that was displayed in their baked goods and a decaf cap. It was honestly THE BEST QUICHE I'VE EVER HAD!! I don't even have a photo because I ate it immediately whilst walking away. The filling was bursting with flavour, generous with the ham that was sitting in a silky savoury custard. The tart shell was buttery and extremely short. It was delicious and not the usual crust you want to throw away. On the side, they served it with a peppery capsicum chutney that complimented the flavours perfectly. The coffee was smooth, and not burnt or bitter, which seems to be hard for people to do with decaf. Lastly, the staff were nice and approachable, friendly without being over the top. The small amount of seating outside was picturesque with the light streaming through the leaves in the trees and I wish I had stayed to do my university seminar. My only regret is that I was only in Parramatta for an event and I actually live south Sydney.
I liked this place. We ordered an Anzac Biscuit (it was Anzac Day), a croissant, a batch coffee, and a flat white. I went back and ordered a Smoked Cola. The Anzac biscuit was huge, and perfect. Croissant was perfect. The flat white was reportedly good. My batch coffee was a New Guinean variety, made really well and very lovely to taste. The service was spot on, genuine. I will return. We paid ~$35, and the batch coffee would have pushed us over $30. Dear, yes, but I wanted to try it. It's funny if you look at the negative reviews. Here are my thoughts about the 1☆ reviews for this place. Eating out tends to be dear these days. Certainly, 7/11 has cheaper sandwiches. No one made anyone come here and spend their money. The prices are clearly listed. Criticisms of a hospitality worker's professional demeanour may be helpful here and there, points lost if that criticism is bizarre, maleficent, and verging on paranoia. It's hard to trust a critique of the food after dragging one's eyes across such nasty reviews, so don't pay attention to those.
I’ve been here twice. The first time was for a sandwich and the second time was for a coffee. Whilst the coffee and sandwich were good and staff are pretty friendly, the price is ridiculous and has completely influenced my rating. My coffee was just shy of $8!! ($7.60) Never in my life have I paid this much money for the coffee I always get. The food is very overpriced, a croissant can send you back $14 and a bacon and egg roll is just shy of $20! The very small custard tart I saw in the window was just shy of $10. The coffee & food is good, but very much overpriced! I’m a coffee and pastry connoisseur and I have never seen such high prices in all the places I’ve been across Sydney. Not worth it at all! I’d happily pay this price if the coffee and food was the best I’d ever tried.

First visit (morning) - ordered 2 coffees, almond swirl and quiche. They didn’t give me the quiche which I thought was in the same paper bag as the almond swirl until I had already returned to the office. Second visit (afternoon) - brought a friend for coffees and a pistachio swirl. This time the coffees were terrible despite the barista taking his time making them. It was like he reused the same coffee grounds to make multiple coffees. Suffice to say we have now started going elsewhere for coffees but we may be back for pastries. Also, check your order before leaving. Quiche was $12!
First off, I'm really happy such innovative places are opening up outside of the inner west and eastern suburbs! Now to the food: we tried the seasonal plate which had a great mix of fresh and cured veggies, bread and boiled eggs. The only downer was that the team doesn't have a frying kitchen so you can't get omelettes or scrambled eggs. However, the lovely staff somehow made an exception for us (as they'd run out of smoked salmon), but I do hope they make hot items a regular menu feature. The stand out was the Persian love tart - we loved it! Coffee was nice too.
Recommended by a friend who told me Circa's ex-pastry chef opened a new Patisserie (could be wrong). The little shop has seating outside and inside with a small menu (once inside the door, look to your top left for the menu). Friendly service, with a good selection of sweet & savoury pastry & toasties. Our coffee order was slow to come out for dine in and, unfortunately, was not hot or strong. Free street parking on Sunday out front and around the corner, but Lucien charges a 10% Sunday surcharge. Recommended: Pumpkin Quiche, Canele & Raisins Croissant Pastry.
I love that they open at 6.30am on weekdays. The pistachio swirl danish was delicious. Generous sprinkle of pistachios and almond filling inside. That was my favourite and must order. The strawberry choux pastry filled with cream and strawberry pieces was light and lovely. I did not like the cheese and bacon with onion relish tart. The filling was just way too soft, fell off the tart, and I thought $9 for it was too pricey. Overall, I would visit them again. The baker was friendly and passionate as seen in the quality ingredients used.
Cute little pastry and coffee shop. Do recommend- enjoying a beautifully green, delicately crafted, buttery, flaky, absolutely takes-you-to-Paris pistachio croissant! (Even better enjoyed when torn and dipped into a frothy cappuccino) Needs some work - the pumpkin quiche could be a tad more varied in texture and flavor. Overall, great place, will be coming back!

Really lovely and friendly staff, coffee is really solid. Toilet is available and it’s very nice. Food wise, lucky enough to have an almond croissant that came straight out of the oven and it was divine. Just the perfect amount of filling that it was not too sickly. The pistachio cake was delicious and mouth watering with a soft centre and great taste. Ate in and things came out quickly and they make an effort to plate things up- the onion jam came when we ate in!
Delicious baked goods and friendly service. Highly recommend coming for coffee and treats. A quiet location opposite the ferry wharf in Parramatta. The only minor let down is the use of disposable containers instead of plates when eating in, though at least the coffee cups are reusable. Love coming here and do so quite often

Sujuk and mushroom danishes were absolutely delicious! Got takeaway and they came with a side of caramelised onion and wow was it next level once we added the onion on top. Coffee was smooth velvety and yum just a touch too cool but nothing to complain about. Also got a ham cheese croissant which was nice as well just a bit cold but all in all those danishes and coffees were 20/10 will definitely be back next time in Parramatta.
Been watching this cafe over the last few months and was very excited about the location and the detailed set up for the bakery. When I finally ordered an espresso I was very disappointed to have the coffee served in a large terracotta cup which flattened the espresso with no ‘crema’. This is espresso sacrilege and indicates the lack of understanding in the art of coffee. Best wishes for Lucien but I won’t be returning.
The best coffee, the best baked goods, the best staff. This has very quickly become our favourite coffee of all time. Highly recommend!

Got the salami sandwich and hibiscus tea. The tea was nice but the sandwich was soggy and while the menu board reads :pork, fennel and salami, you only get the salami with some kale salad wedged in. A bit of a disappointing experience given the high ratings.

I have been here a few times being a resident of Parramatta, and being a big fan of Circa means when Lucien opened, I was very excited. Last Saturday, I think the pastries were 'dark' even for plain croissants, and the lady at the counter had the sourest of faces i've experienced from both Circa & Lucien combined. Prices are on the high side and pastry layers are of the heavier style.
Nice little spot with good food and coffee but I’m not sure how often I’d come back. Maybe I’m out of touch with the pastry and coffee scene in Sydney but $33 for a ham & cheese croissant, custard tart, long black and iced long black seems a little dear.

Wow. Simply wow. This bakery knows how to do pastries and does them well. I was surprised as to why this place has not blown up online. Almond scroll, cinnamon roll, pain au chocolat, plain croissant and the cheesecake were something from out of this world. They also have great seating outside so you can enjoy your pastries, coffee and sit in the sun :) Please give this place a go!!
Best coffee and croissant in Sydney. Artisan baked croissants with real quality butter. The flavour of its butter is amazing. Their double baked almond croissant melts in your mouth, releasing a reach pleasant buttery taste and when accompanied with their specialty single origin coffee, makes one of those unique gastronomy experiences! Thanks Lucien for keeping the quality high!
I've tried maybe half of everything and their desserts are probably one of the best around Parramatta! I cannot fault any! Cream filling is amazing! French cone thing was crunchy layer outside and soft inside. Pistachio slice, I wish i ordered the whole cake! Perfect balance of flavour and I can't stop coming back for more! This is our new favourite GOTO for desserts!
Lucien is like a little Parisian coffee place hidden in parramatta, where you can have a tasty baguette sandwich, or try the variety of croissants and breads and more important everything is fresh. It is refine an stylish. you can clearly see the imprint of its chef in very detail. Personally for me the best coffee place in Parramatta.
A perfect spot to have a great cup of coffee and a nice treat! Best coffee in parramatta and the food is amazing! Highly recommend! Location is great if you want to get takeaway and picnic by the river.

This is such an underrated place! I love their coffee and their croissants. Their plain croissant is definitely a top notch, but my most favorite is the pistachio swirl. I love the feeling of eating pastries without feeling overwhelmed. Their place is also much more spacious than the croissant places I've been to in the CBD of Sydney.
Pastries are incredible. Service could be better. One staff member was on mobile phone for 5 minutes before attending to waiting customers. Available pastries are different every day. Would be nice to see them labelled with name and price rather than having to ask what's on offer each time. Coffee is good. But do not offer skim milk.
Lucien Baked Goods is a very exciting new bakery in Parramatta CBD. Lovely little space with excellent pastries, equally great coffee and some next level lunch options. Can't wait to return to try the rest of the range of pastries. Early opening hours are perfect for early birds, too. Just what Parramatta needed!
A new croissanterie/bakery/cafe in Parramatta. Only got to try Pistachio croissant which was excellent. Not as many croissant flavour options as some but still a great selection and service. Will come back to try their coffee as well as other croissant flavours! Pistachio wasn't overly sweet and super tasty!
The Cinnamon Scrolls here are by far my favourite. Fresh out of the Oven and glazed with a delicious frosting . The also do a really nice Truffle Croissant if you’re lucky to get there in time on the day. Staff are always so friendly and accommodating. A hidden gem in Parramatta and would highly recommend.
Ordered a birthday cake from this Bakery for my dad’s 60th - the price for the quality of the product is insane! Will absolutely be returning to purchase more birthday and celebration cakes in the future since they taste so good and are so well-priced (love the glamorous Victorian Sponge!)
Located at the end of Phillip Street, very close to the Ferry, the bakery and cafe has a broad pavement and nice internal setting. Coffee is consistently excellent. Everything is made in house and it is spectacular. From the pastries, pies to the sandwiches! Lucien should be getting 6/5!
Very overpriced and bland. I paid $17 for my smoked salmon sandwich, my salmon was cooked through which made it very dry to eat. Definitely NOT worth your money and there are plenty of other places around that do better sandwiches for less than half the price.
I recently visited this place and it exceeded my expectations. All the food I tried was excellent, but the carrot cake was my absolute favorite. It's the best carrot cake I've had in a while. I'm thrilled that this place is located in Parra as well.
Quite possibly the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life. Wow. I also had a ham and cheese croissant and it was amazing. Friendly and courteous staff, sustainable ethics, just a fresh, homey relaxing bit filling experience. Highly recommended.
Food was delicious and fresh. Staff was friendly and attentive, answered our questions about what's on the plate. Saw them making croissants while we were there, but we were too full to get dessert, will definitely come back for baked goods!
Ordered the Cannelé Bordelais via their website and they tasted phenomenal Easy pick-up and ready early on the day which was great as well

Staff have the personality of a wet paper bag. Both times I have been there, I was served by two different people who had the social skills of the dough they bake the bread with.

This cafe has it all . Delishious cakes and a fine selection of hand crafted rolls complemented by fantastic coffee. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and it’s a pleasure to visit . Cannot recommend this highly enough .
Plain croissant gets my tick of approval. Delicious, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with the right amount of sweetness. Service could be improved though, seemed to not be anyone around to take orders.
WOW fresh baked bread, focacia cakes and more. I enjoyed my simple lunch and having focacia thats fresh goes a very long way and I still bought take away as I was leaving. Never pass up a great place that bakes.
I had the almond twirl, an almond croissant filled with a mixture of chocolate and creme patisserie. Probably one of the best croissant I have ever had and paired with a Circa quality coffee I was in Heaven.
Love the coffee and the people (Flo, Leeza...the list goes on)! They used to be at Georgie Boy at Parramatta Park and since they moved, I now walk almost a half hour for my coffee and/or brekkie or brunch.
Hidden gem that deserves more reviews! Went in on the back of the other positive reviews and ordered a quiche. Most delicious quiche I've ever had, packed with quality ingredients. Will definitely be back!
A hidden gem in Parramatta and waiting to be discovered by the foodies! Local cafe vibes in a CBD environment! Welcoming and charming interior. Great croissants and coffee, and outdoor seating available.
The most delicious melt-in-the-mouth goats cheese and leek quiche followed by a raspberry cream tart. Such a treat for a Friday lunch! Great to have such a high quality new bakery in the neighbourhood.
A hidden gem! We had the avo toast and the vege sandwich both were *chefs kiss*. We really appreciated that they made the sandwich fresh for us to accommodate some things my wife can't eat due to IBS.
Absolutely delicious - I am planning to try everything here. Been here only twice so far, but the baked treats are amazing and the coffee is good too. Really nice modern eclectic look inside.
I've tried a sweet choux and a savoury pastry with potato and bacon and their coffee. I was in heaven eating the savoury pastry. It was amazing! Good coffee too. Service seemed a bit grumpy.
Lune prices for not Lune quality. Exorbitantly priced, if I recall its even higher than Lune. Ordered haloumi police scroll, no haloumi in there just olives. The pistachio scroll was nice.
Everything is so delicious. I love their Ham & Cheese croissant. So good. Also, their tea is just another level. Really lovely & cosy place to enjoy tea. I just love this place so much!
One of the best bakeries in western Sydney, the coffee was perfect and the chorizo sandwich was so tasty, they also gave you a side of pickles which cut the richness of the sandwich!
Delicious, quality baked goods. The quiche, smoked chicken baguette and pistachio scroll were all divine. Beautiful flavours, beautifully cooked. Coffee was also great. We'll be back
Lady at the cashier was rearranging pastries with her bare hands..and she was serving customer infront of me and she also used her bare hands to pick up a pastry… how disgusting
This place deserves 5 stars ✨ indeed ! Very nice patisserie, drinks and service. As of today, this is the best in the area and has been put on my fav list ✅- @foodjournal_byjess
Great little place for freshly baked croissants and pastries....delish. Oh, and the coffee/hot chocolate is so good. The tiramisu is so good, especially at 8am lol
Brownies here are amazing and moist. Not too sweet, dark chocolate chips and walnuts throughout. Goes wonderful with their coffee. Worth the walk!
Stopped by for a coffee and treat while out on a bike ride. Great cinnamon scroll and even better coffee. Cost just shy of $17 though!
Wonderful service, coffee and food. Quiche was perfect for our R U OK? Day morning tea. Will be back again soon.
Excellent coffee. Scrumptious salmon bread roll. The bread is fresh and baked on site. Nice little discovery
Deliciously, freshly baked pastries. Great coffee and light breakfast. Eat in or take away friendly staff
Great choice of both savoury and sweet pastries, clean and tidy shopfront and good customer service.
The croissant and pastry were delicious - so light and fluffy. Price was a little steep though!
One of the best cafes in Parramatta, great service, amazing coffee and beautiful ambience!
Lovely staff and some of the best baked goods in Western sydney! We go here every week
Great sandwiches and batch brew. Make sure to get in early because they sell out fast
Great coffee and food. Open 7 days a week so I can always stop by. Staff are great
Great coffee, brilliant baked goods and friendly staff...will come again.
Charging extra for take away pastry on a Sunday. Scam!
