With all due respect, this restaurant has declined in the past six months . Food is so salty it's not eatable.The customer service has declined dramatically. Forget about even trying to tell the owners where they go wrong with feedback ,they don't admit fault basically don't care . I noticed on a review there is a new place that has opened up in Mill Park. It's Duck and Dumpling house. It's in Mill Park stables.. You think they only do dumplings and duck . No no no .. They have all the same stuff like lucky 88 but better by far . Taste is amazing ,service is incredibly nice and they give you free sauces how many you want .Lucky 88 charge you. The servings are also bigger there and prices are cheaper. Give it a go who is reading this review because we needed another asian restaurant in Mill Park and now we have it . Lucky 88 you changed your chefs I believe too(for the worst) and you have become not so nice anymore ..

The food served here is some of the best you will EVER eat. My family are GLUTEN FREE and we are in heaven every single time we order from here. Jade is such a pleasure to deal with and always lets us know what she can adapt to be gluten free!!! There is just so much variety!!! Tonight we tried a seafood curry for the first time and WOW! Infact the beef and veggies and chicken and veggies along with the Singapore noodles were just incredible! We really enjoyed this meal and will always keep coming back!! This was absolutely my favourite restaurant for years, however service and quality of food has vastly deteriorated over the last 6 months. After advising them that we were not satisfied with the $100 order and they’d forgotten to add a dish, they disregarded any of my feedback and said “we will check the camera, but 2 of our staff confirmed they put it in the bag”. Calling me a liar. I’d be happy for them to check the camera, as I didn’t receive the item and rather than refunding for the items we weren’t happy with, they accused us of eating the meal and returning half of it back. I don’t know about you, but when something tastes as bad as this did; you throw it out. Very poor service recovery and they tried to refund me for the missing item, however at that point, it was about principle and they couldn’t admit to fault..

Ordered through Uber eats, and was not happy at all. Got an alert the food was on its way before 6pm, called the store to check around 6:25 and was just told it was on the way nothing else even though it was estimated to arrive by 6:15 the latest. once it finally arrived the honey chicken was open in the bag so honey was everywhere, the beef and black bean was filled with what felt like a whole onion, whole capsicum and zucchini and not much else. There was little beef, 1 piece of tiny broccoli and 2 slivers of carrot and that was it. The only saviour was the 2 fried rices which were barely warm and for the amount the order cost it was very disappointing across the board

First time I have visited Lucky 88 after reading positive reviews, which were well deserved. Friendly staff and really nice tasty food. Generous servings and reasonably priced. I was given a free drink with my order, maybe because I was a first time customer. It was a nice gesture anyway. Satay chicken skewers were really nice. The Mongolian beef was very tender and tasty, same with chicken and black bean sauce. There was lots of meat in the servings. Special fried rice was good too. I will definitely be returning to this friendly local restaurant again. I will be trying some of the other dishes recommended by other reviewers.

Ordered fried rice which was very nice and sweet n sour pork. Pork was really dried and most of it was way over cooked and hard as a rock and cold. Was not freshly cooked. Poured sauce over and left for 5 minutes but still hard. 4 small cuts of veggie in sauce not as pictured on website. Rang store and they weren’t interested. Even offered to drive up and exchange but told me no too bad, everyone else liked it. Ring DoorDash, gave full refund on both items so now they don’t get paid. They are quite rude and very unhelpful. 1st pic is what I got 2nd is what I thought I was getting. The dog enjoyed it for sure!

I ordered curry puffs, fried hokkien chicken noodles, chicken ribs in spicy salt, kung pao chicken, chicken with satay sauce and plain rice. The curry puffs were weak in flavour, not enough curry paste, the pastry was right. The hokkien noodles, and satay was so oily, there was so much oil it seaps through the glad wrap and into the plastic bag. My family and i feel so nauseous after eating this oily bland food. The worst dish by far is the kung pao chicken usually my fave Chinese dish. It just tastes like vinegar and oil very gross. $76 down the drain didnt finish the food

I really love this restaurant, specially as they are open late at night. I was ordering a couple of times a week as they have a good range of food, at decent prices. And it tastes great! Very sadly though, I can no longer get it through any delivery service as Reservoir is now out of their delivery range. I was using Doordash. If the people at Lucky 88 see this, could they please consider adding Reservoir to their delivery range? I would be so appreciative.

Fresh food and tasty. I tried their dumplings and chilli prawns. Dumplings were delicious. Chilli prawns were not spicy enough for my taste and there was too much zucchini in the dish for my liking. Service was fast and takeaways were busy. Will definitely come again to try other dishes!

We’d been looking for a nice local Chinese restaurant and Lucky 88 didn’t disappoint! We ordered the beef with black bean, honey chicken and fried rice and it was all delicious. Finally a great Asian place in the north, very hard to find Asian that’s consistent with recipes and also very reasonably priced. I normally get Hokkien Noodles, Vege Springrolls and can not fault the food. I will continue to order and support this local business.

This is probably my favourite restaurant in the area. Food is consistently of great quality and the servings are generous. The honey chicken and char kway teow are my go-to dishes. Delivery is generally fast and food is always well wrapped. Open late most nights which is another big advantage over most other restaurants.

Been here for the first time and realized that the food was terrible, especially the customer service. The lady who is working as front staff, including helper, didn't know how to treat the customers with her harsh voice. They have to learn manners before starting to open a restaurant. Thats Rude.

I have ordered from this place for a long time and the last two times the mains had hardly any meat in them. I’ve tried to order tonight and let them know about my experience and they basically told me they aren’t taking my order because I asked for a little bit extra meat. What a joke, don’t order from this place.

on my way home at 11pm after a long working Friday, I am so terribly hungry! Luckily, I have found this small restaurant! Believing or not, they are still so busy about serving takeaways. YES! I have my favorite Nasi Goreng and feeling my day has completed well! Lovely food, friendly staffs! I will be back!

Been all over Melbourne and this has got to be one of the tastiest and best value options going around. There’s even main dishes for 13-14$ a piece. Have never left disappointed and food is immaculate every time I cannot recommend this place enough. The owners are wonderful as well! Give these guys a shot

Delicious. The portions are generous, it’s good value for money and most importantly - the food is amazing! Since I didn’t dine in, it was delivered hot and with care. Highly recommend this place to anybody who wants a good meal. Also, thank you to all the hardworking staff there.

Got home delivery which was quick but some dishes were a little disappointing Singapore noodles look like it was covered in soy sauce as they were black in colour, special fried rice ok and honey chicken needed more honey . Had better Fried won ton and won ton soup elsewhere

Just want to acknowledge whoever the chef was last night (4th aug) did the best food ever. We have ordered a few times but last night was outstanding, the portions were generous, filled with meat not just veg and everything was incredible. Delivery was on time too!

Appalling customer service. Ordered from their website, had to call 15 min after est delivery time, overall wating time was 1.5 hours. Food arrived cold, called to discuss and they had absolutely no care factor. My dog wouldn't even eat the food. Disgusting

We ordered prawn toast it had no prawns on it, food was not great my kids wouldn’t even touch it. And was quite expensive. Sorry we won’t go back.

Had a delivery order. The Chicken and sweet corn soup was nice, though nothing special. We also ordered 4pc steamed prawn dumplings which were chewy and undercooked, as well as a Nasi Goreng which was very bland. Quite disappointing.

The food was very tasty and good size servings. It was enjoyable although i did feel it was a little pricey. The server was very polite. The decor is terrible, pretty much like a take away fish and chip shop with a couple of tables.

Ordered the curry chicken and steamed rice and gave me a free can of coke, big portions and food tastes amazing. I would go back again to try other dishes
