. I wanted to like this place. The pictures on the sandwiches that they displayed on their windows looked scrumptious, and I was hungry. I thought that I would order the Vietnamese special sandwich - combo special. Of course, I expected a sandwich like the one at Dinosaurs in Pacifica, or any other Vietnamese sandwich shop. The sandwich combo was not cheap, $12.00, and barely had any pork in it. I discovered this after taking a big bite (did I say I was hungry?), it was mainly bread with carrots, cilantro and cucumber and a few pieces of sliced (pressed?) pork. After I called it to the server's/preparer' s attention, she called the cashier who seemed to be the owner. She promptly accused me of having eaten the meat already. A lady costumer standing next to me, who acted as my translator, because now the preparer and the cashier pretended not to understand me, repeated to them what I was saying. Since they couldn't play their game of not understanding, the owner insisted that I had eaten the pork. When my volunteered translator, who seemed to be a local, told them "you are making a mistake", they refused to place the.requested couple of small pieces of pork in the bun. The Vietnamese coffee, was not. The cashier had kept referring to it as iced coffee. Well, that's what it was. The flavor was okay, but don't be fooled by the pictures in the windows, and false claims of Vietnamese sandwich and coffee. I love Chinese food, but this is my second experience with Chinese trying to serve Vietnamese food, and both times it has been very, very disappointing. Even when given a chance to redeem themselves, they wouldn't budge. Really? And I was going to come back with my family and friends, since we eat out most of the time.
Review written on 6/13/2023 at around 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm. The Vietnamese Coffee was way too sweet, the service was not good at all. The person working the counter didn’t smile or greet me; I felt incredibly unwelcome there. I bought food from outside only to be told that I wasn’t allowed food from outside. Do you have a sign up somewhere? I am never coming back. Edit on 6/13/2023 at around 4:45 pm: I just got kicked out by the lady working the counter because she was leaving! This place was supposed to close at 6:00 pm, what is going on?

The Vietnamese coffee was terrible. I said not very sweet, and it was disgustingly sweet, evidently to mask the bad coffee. I had a few sips and ended up throwing it away, wasteful. I had ordered two drinks and she didn’t even make the second one. I asked where my second drink was and she said I only ordered the one, I had paid cash, so I didn’t argue and just left. Bad service and terrible coffee.
Just leaving with an Avocado smoothie with boba And strawberry jam. Have never had this combination available before and I think it’s going to be a new trend. The jam is supposed to be for the Dirty Dirty milk however she decided to give it a try and it looks amazing and tastes even better! I’m excited to try some bahn mi on Dutch crunch bread next time around! Must visit! And highly recommend

Had a very good grilled pork banh mi here. Pork was tender and flavorful and the bread was tender with a crisp edge (but didn’t rip the top of my mouth). Pricey and a bit small at $13.

The boba is incredibly disgusting and the owner was really rude, really regret wasting my money here, there’s way better boba places on Ocean where they’re polite, do yourself a favor and about this place.

Cash only, are you kidding me? This is 2012, who carries cash anymore? Of course, they have an ATM inside to add salt to the wound. Food is good, though, and the tables are really unique.
Decently priced Vietnamese sandwiches, but the quality of the bread and meat could be better. I can get cheaper sandwiches of much higher quality in the Excelsior.
Deli/bakery with donuts sugary drinks, coffee, and lotto. Nothing to brag about, but sometimes you just need a donut.
My bagel was stale and they think Sunny Delight is orange juice but it's still a nice place to spend an hour or two.
She would not make my order until I paid for it first yet I didn't notice her doing the same for white customers
Bad (expensive) latte and cash only. I haven’t tried anything else, but I didn’t have a good experience.
Great food but u know its unhealthy so it gets 4 but it is the best cafe …
The meat and veggies put inside the bun is not fresh. Plastry is o.k.
Best smoothies in town. I get banana every time.
