My bad incident at MGBS, Hyderabad. I had an extremely disappointing experience at MGBS, Hyderabad. Today, I had a crucial journey planned to my village, which is over 120 km away from this location. I made an online booking for a bus that was supposed to depart from the station at 19:10 and reach my destination by 21:25. However, the bus was nowhere in sight even by 19:45. Frustrated and concerned about missing my connections, I reached out to TSRTC, who provided me with the driver's number. To my dismay, the driver informed me that the bus would be delayed by another hour. I pleaded for a prompt arrival, but my pleas fell on deaf ears. Desperate for help, I approached the enquiry team at the bus station, only to be met with indifference. Shockingly, the platform controller scolded me when I sought assistance. My main concern was catching a connecting bus in Mahabubnagar, and if I didn't reach there by 21:30, I knew I would miss it. To make matters worse, I couldn't afford a hotel in Hyderabad, where accommodation is prohibitively expensive. I requested a refund for my bus ticket, but my plea was unjustly denied. This incident left me stranded, frustrated, and financially burdened. The lack of assistance, empathy, and accountability in this situation was truly disheartening.

MG Bus Station (MGBS) metro station is an interchange metro station between Red Line and Green Line of the Hyderabad Metro. The MG Bus Station Inter-change Metro Station has become one of the largest metro station in Asia, with a sprawling premises over 280,000 square feet (26,000 m2). The Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS), also known as the Imlibun Bus Station (Imlibun means "grove of tamarind trees"), is a bus station on the Musi River in the Imlibun area of southern Hyderabad, India. It is owned by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) and is India's third-largest bus station, covering 20 acres (81,000 m2), behind Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus and Delhi's Millennium Park Bus Depot. The bus station was built during the Nizam era, and was owned by the Nizam's Guaranteed State Railway and known as the Central Bus Station. It was built in the shape of a dome and was named Imlibun. It was a converted aircraft hangar, built during the 1930s by Butler and Company of the US to accommodate the Nizam’s fleet of public single- and double-decker buses. When the bus station was later expanded, the Musi River bed was partially filled for the new facility. Although it had been accessible by two major and two minor road bridges, it is presently accessible by one bridge.

The cleanliness standards at the location are subpar, as dust and other waste materials are finding their way into the metro station. The maintenance of devices, particularly the QR ticket scanner, appears inadequate, resulting in slower QR code detection. Additionally, there is a concerning situation where passengers are rushing onto overcrowded trains, preventing the doors from closing properly. While another train is typically available within 3 minutes, this persistent rush could pose future safety issues. It's evident that several maintenance issues need immediate attention. Moreover, the absence of card or discount card options is contributing to longer queues, and there are instances where QR scanners at certain stations are malfunctioning and require urgent repair. Note : Both metro station and bus station name are collision here check it properly in map

Before reviewing this MG Bus Station, we should have know the then Central Bus Station of Hyderabad. The Central Bus Station was first used as hanger of Aeroplane by the then Nizam rulers. After Indian Independence the Kingdom of Nizams was into Indian union. Then the hanger of Aeroplane has become the Central Bus Station until the present MGBS was proposed by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Padmashree Doctor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao garu. After separation / bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh into Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, it has lost it's glory, but it is serving as Inter- state bus station to Andhra, Karnataka and Maharashtra at present.

Metro station is huge, and it contains interchange for different lines. Cleanliness & maintenance to good. I come from Bangalore, & Bangalore Metro are top notch in terms of service, looks, & cleanliness. The most annoying thing is Hyderabad Metros are filled with advertisements. But the good thing is it's empty always, atleast when I visited. Unlike Bangalore Metros which are jam packed in rush hours.
