Notified the council that a contractor installing fiber cable had left their work site, which was the whole of Empire Street footpath, in a messy and unsafe state and all that happened was someone closed off part of the footpath in the worst area. There was a multiple holes in the middle of the footpath that was left there for over a week, no one from council clearly went and inspected it. When I spoke to multiple people at the council I was told the works were being carried out be government telecommunications organisation and they have no control over it even though it's in their policies they are responsible for roads and pathways etc. Absolutely disgraceful service, no integrity or sense of responsibility. Maribyrnong City Council is responsible for public roads within the municipal boundary that are classified as “Municipal Roads” and declared as “Public Roads” in the Register of Public Roads published by Maribyrnong City Council. The responsibility includes the inspection, maintenance, and renewal of following assets that are within the road reserve boundary of these municipal public roads.  Road Pavements  Footpaths  Kerb and Channel  Car Parks  Traffic, Parking and Street Signs and their supports  Line markings on Roads  Guardrails and Safety Barriers  Drainage Entry Pits, Grates and Pit Lids (Except Melbourne Water assets)  Drainage Pipes (Except Melbourne Water assets)  Street Trees

I got issued a fine even though I was still within the parking limit outside of Co Thu Quan, Footscray. I can’t imagine how many people this inspector has been wrongfully issuing fines to cars in and around Footscray. It is disgusting and outright illegal. Maribyrnong Council, please have a thorough review into your inspectors, to ensure they are issuing fines legally and not taken advantage of many Asian people, who do not have English speaking background. parking officers that work for this council have no problem issuing you a fine for stopping an extra minuite in the middle of the night when no other car is out there, I'm an uber driver i stopped for 1 minute at a taxi zone to pick up passengers from footscray plaza at 10pm, BAMm $111 fine on my windshield even though the taxi zone fits 6 cars and i was the only one there.

Called the planning department Kendra answered and also answered all my questions in a professional manner. Well done. Keep up the good work.

Worst council ever. No empathy from council staff. Getting taxpayers money and treating us like they are providing charity services.
