Surrounded by the lush gardens of Warrawee Park, this beautiful building in Atherton Road Oakleigh was opened in 1921 and was known as the Oakleigh Borough Council Chambers. The building was stupidly renamed the Monash Seminar and Training Centre after the amalgamation of the City of Oakleigh, and the City of Waverley created the Monash City Council in 1994. Now, it is re-named Oakleigh Chambers and is used mainly as a public meeting place, polling booth, and classroom.
