The guy working here Monday morning at 7:10 was unbelievable rude. You need better staff, we used to spend $200 + a week here and now don’t use you especially for this reason. The guy was saying to customers they need to wear a mask while all the staff including him were not wearing a mask? Why do customers only have to wear a mask? He the told me they were not open and he shouldn’t be serving me even through online it says they open at 7am and they other staff told me they were open?? I have had to many bad experiences with this guy. Very disappointing as really want to have a solid market in the marina with good staff. Do not shop here.

Excellent high-end supermarket with all your basic grocery needs. Great choices available for dairy-free, gluten-free, paleo, Keto, literally any specificity you have, they have options for you. Nice variety of fresh produce that are picture perfect, very pretty produce selection. Also tons of alcohol here, craft brews, kombucha, rose, you name it. The aisles are fun to browse through and get lost around. You’ll find all sorts of local selections like breads, snacks and food from the area. They have a sandwich bar and prepared food deli. Sandwiches are customizable, and start around $8. Friendly atmosphere and employees.

Nice grocery in the turistic Marina area. They got acceptable prices for the expensive neighborhood they are located at. Good selection of quality products. They have real bread and some fine stuff too. Haven't tried the prepared food section but it looks pretty good. And there are a bunch of quality real Italian food products. Appreciated their fantasy about polenta dishes, I want to suggest to bring this particular one I'm attaching the picture of, to some local town banquets in the Italian Alps. I'm sure local people up there will make some real interesting and constructive comments about it.

Wonderful upscale independent SF supermarket with great produce, deli and groceries including lots of organic and natural foods, and a stunning wine collection. Be sure to check for local produce, they carry special things from CA farmers like incredible blood oranges in winter and champagne grapes in summer. There's Acme bread, wonderful cheese and my favorite Italian coffee. The fish and meat department is at Marina Meat Market at the corner of Chestnut and Divisadero. Enjoy :)

This is probably a biased review. I used to come to this market all the time when I lived a few blocks away. It always saved me from schlepping to Safeway...even though I always drove. The service here has always been excellent. It's definitely a neighborhood store. I would always see the same people neighbors here...that gave it a small village feel. People complain about the prices, but it was worth it when I didn't want to deal with the Safeway crowd.

My receipt says Nov 1rst. I was only in your lovely town 3 days. Not really enough time to do anything twice if I wanted to see it all......but your salmon in the deli case was so delicious and moist I to come back for seconds. It also deserves to be said that I was helped by a delightful man whose name I believe was Erick. He was so polite and helpful. On my second visit he even took the time to chat with me on his break. I see that as a very big deal.

Marina Supermarket was close to our Airbnb in San Francisco when we stayed there in September. We really lucked out being so close to a market that had such a great selection of fresh fruit, wine, and cheeses. There was a deli counter as well with many options of prepared pasta salads and other food for takeout. It was nice to take a break from all of the heavy meals on vacation and enjoy lighter meal s during the week. Good service and good selection.

I try to stay away from Marina Supermarket, b/c it is SO expensive. However, it's convenient if you live in the Marina and don't have a car for grocery shopping. The market has most everything you would need, and also has ready made meals, in addition to a deli that will make you a sandwich. Good place to go for small purchases but I would not recommend a week's worth of grocery shopping here, unless you want to turn out your pockets.

My husband and I were given the opportunity to think about what we would need in the future. As a result, the vibe in this coffee shop has shifted significantly. They made an impact with their calm and green decor. It gives the impression that they weren't in a city, a garden, or somewhere else peaceful. Thank you to all who greeted us with a welcoming smile. What a lovely poem.

You cant find mucb items in here. I was looking for specific ones and coundnt find them. I encountered a rude staff at the counter as I was new in SF and asked him how much they charge for llastic bags. He answered me impolitely. Hallways are narrow inside so it is not comfortable to roam inside. Location is great and close to all nearby motels.

Prices are absurdly high. It’s convenient to have this in the area and they do have good service, but their prices are out of control. Sliced boar’s head ham is $15 a pound. A head of broccoli is $8. This is 3x the cost of the Safeway a few blocks away. My partner and I have stopped shopping here because the prices are so high.

  • melinda moy-elliott

High-end local supermarket with a great neighborhood vibe. It's great for getting the basics (fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, cheese, bread, liquor) and pre-made meals. The food is fresh and well stocked. Staff is friendly and helpful. It's great if you need some food or drinks at home and need to grab something quickly.

  • Bobbi Marquez

It was not only convenient to our place, but it also sold healthy foods and groceries, which I appreciated. Anything I want is readily available. This is the best place for me to get a decent price on a product and to collaborate with a big group of people. If I had to give it a ranking, I'd give it five stars!

  • Page Smith

Very friendly staff and surprisingly large selection. Yes, the price is high, but it's a family shop in one of the most expensive locations in the world. The prices aren't much worse than Safeway, and you're supporting a loved institution. Great spot to restock on bits and bobs you might need for dinner.

  • standup Fightback

Epitomizes SF bubble obnoxiousness! They charge a 300% mark-up over Safeway which is a nice 8 block walk away on the SF waterfront. There are 20 people on the floor, but nothing is getting done. Stock and boxes congest every isle. Avoid unless you feel like being ripped off.

  • clyde ford

My experience at Marina Supermarket has always been , there food is fresh with their workers are always friendly, well-stocked and a variety of things that are hard to find you will find at the Marina Supermarket it's always a pleasure thank you everyone

  • Ada Zeng

When I first walked into Marina Supermarket, the floors were dirty and the items had a really bad smell that was weird. There were barely anyone inside the store and the items were overpriced. I do not recommend if this is your first time coming here.

  • Hank Hodes

Lovely neighborhood supermarket featuring a lovely deli case with some prepared foods as well karma boutique local products and a fine selection of produce. I much prefer shopping here then going to the Safeway. Support your local businesses.

  • Konstantin Dieterle

Great brunch food! Be prepared to wait to get seated but they will call you so you actually don't have to wait in line. We had crab Benedict and the pork belly scramble - very flavorful! Inside can be a bit loud but overall it was all good!

  • Jacob Vink

My mask blew away as was walking in and they wouldn’t give me a spare but said I could buy a box. Been going there for 20 years paying their high prices and they were so rude. Wouldn’t let me even hold my shirt up to buy a single item.

  • J Prsns

Friendly staff. Adequate selection. Expensive. You pay for their prime location and lack of competition. Great place to do your daily grocery shopping if your in the top tier of society, and have lots and lots of money to spend.

  • Ville Albumi

Terribly overpriced, as is almost everything in SF! In most small town this kind of "value" would not survive a year. But this was the only "supermarket" near our motor inn. Alternative was to pay 10$ for an omelette. …

  • Luana Bossetti

Good supermarket with high quality selection of products from produce to bakery and all the basic groceries you need. The staff is really friendly which is great. Expensive, for sure, but suitable to the area.

  • Diana Nery

Fair prices, you can find it almost all in here, and even the fruit is good, its kind of a familly-owned place so expect a comfortable visit and customers chatting with cashiers, we really liked it.

  • Ivan Roche

This us a top notch Supermarket in The Marina Diatrict. Good healthy food, exelent customer service and safe to shop for groceries. My wife and my sister in law love this place as well. …

  • Jason Mayes

Whilst pricer compared to other supermarkets in the area, the quality is very nice, as is the range of products. Some great imported beers from Belgium including one of my favourites Chimay Blue.

  • I am

Wow, they pack a lot of selection into a small space. Lots of high end meats, cheeses, frozen and packaged organic and international foods. They have a decent produce selection and a deli.

  • Dmitriy

Great local market with fresh veggies and produce, we usually shop here when we don't want to deal with the bigger chains. Very good deli, amazing prepackaged guac, and awesome desserts.

  • Rod Stallman

Good product selection in a small footprint. Prices are fair and wine selection was goid with a varying price range. Good place. I'd shoo here more if I lived in the neighborhood.

  • Jacob Ferrero

Great choices. Be sure to check every part of the place, some areas are kinda hidden. The bakery guy even went out of his way to find one when I wanted 1 paper plate.

  • Judith Félix Maña

Ridiculously overpriced. I live in central London and I have never been asked to pay 9$ for a packet of sliced turkey (the one that you use for sandwiches). Abusive.

  • Pablo Costa Tirado

Handy supermarket. Is bigger than it looks like first time you enter on it, but is not huge. Has a lot of products and will make it for some of your shopping days.

  • Paul Komo

Amazing high end grocery store. Yes they have higher prices than other grocery stores, but expect to get the highest and best quality produce, 2nd to none.

  • Henrik Shragge

It's a great market, due to the amazing amount of different things that they are selling. The prices are a bit above average but you get what you pay for.

  • KilnGod

Great market in the marina, fantastic selection give the location and moderately priced. We shop here often, this market is a great value for the locals.

  • Maureen Wynne

Really convenient market. They have pretty much everything you'd need -- they have the basics but also a lot of specialty items. Reasonable prices too.

  • Emily Molina

Great selection but very pricey. Wish I could make it my regular grocery store but I can find most of the same staples at a lower price elsewhere.

  • Samantha Norried

It's a fun little maze walking through there! Lots of neat healthy products. I enjoyed my lunch walks down there when opportunity was available.

  • Hannah Meeker

A great selection of high quality food, but with an even higher price tag. I like it going here, but definitely not for my every day shopping.

  • Ken Schutt

A little pricy, but everything you could ask for from your local market. Great selections, fresh produce, great wines, cheese and booze, too.

  • Edward M. Norton

A wonderful local grocery store. Friendly and helpful staff, Best fruits and vegetables in the city. Almost everything that you need or want.

  • Markus Borneman

Nice small neighborhood supermarket. Prices are a bit more than Safeway, but I can easily walk here versus driving to the nearest Safeway.

  • Sarah White

Good selection of produce, cute local supermarket but it's a bit overpriced..other than that it's located on the darling chestnut street!

  • Diana

Want to say a big thank you to the cashier, I don't remember the name, but he looked like Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Very friendly and kind.
