I had a very unusual encounter at Marshalls over the weekend. It's my go to place during the weekends because they have very good deals and it's always the treasure hunt and the staff are very friendly and helpful. This Saturday, however, as I was scrolling through the store on my break, I didn't find anything appealing (plus the lines were long, but that is to be expected during holiday season). So I left the store empty-handed with only the items I brought in: my sunglasses and bag; Marshalls/TjMaxx tend to be hit or miss to me. That's normal. It was then I was confronted by a male employee "where did you get that bag?" I was a bit confused, at first, as I figured he just wanted to know what designer I got it from. He sounded aggressive, however. I told him "I made it myself" (I make most of my bags being a leather worker). He repeated again "No, I said where did you get that bag?" And again, I repeated my answer. But he wouldn't take it until I became annoyed and proceeded to accuse me of stealing from the store. I understand misunderstandings happen, but I felt he was very unprofessional in his approach despite me continuously explaining to him that I did not shoplift. I suspect a bit of sexism was involved, as men typically carry only wallets on their person. That's fine but a bit of an out dated perception. Also, in my experience working at Target, you do not ever confront those you suspect of shoplifting; it's unprofessional and discourages the innocent customers in said scenarios. What you do is take note of person and suspected item(s) that is stolen, have security check footage, and if aforementioned person did indeed steal, file a report. I am seen walking in the store with my red bag, as there are cameras in the entry way. That I can attest to. I'm still going to visit my local marshalls. One bad experience won't ruin one of my go to places, yet I do hope such an encounter from employees does not happen anymore. I've attached an image of the bag I was accused of shoplifting. No other bag like it exists in the world, nor will or has Marshalls ever sold this bag in stores.

This Marshalls is somewhat organized. Window shopping is so fun (not) and I really try my best not to buy anything I don't need. I like coming here and going straight to their home department then make my way back up to their clothes department. I always end up finding something I really need (want) even if that item is not what I came for. Me talking to myself: Oh yea, I needed that sink strainer. One frog and metal one for $2.99 each. Ok, I'll buy it. Oh look, those two size 3T Quicksilver shirts are perfect for my little one. $5.99 each. Ok, I'll buy it. Oh check this out, 1 size medium Volcom True To This shirt for my hubby. Do they have a size small one for me? Yea they do! $8.00 each. Ok, I'll buy it. Oh cool, 1 size small O'neill baseball shirt. $6.00 only. Ok, I'll buy it. Oh wow, 1 size small Kate Spade Flamingo pink dress. $99.99. Ok, I'll pass but I would wear that tho. See photo, it's really cute.

They always have a good supply of nothing that fits me, and have a great stock of common Rae Dunn collection pieces. They must have a reseller who comes in and cleans them out of the good RD pieces, though, so make sure you're there when they open to beat the greedy fugger who keeps buying and reselling their stock. Also, they must have something against size 11 shoe wearing, 44 pant wearing folks as they never have anything fits me, lol. Either that or MM is full of short fat folks like me hahahaha A good Marshalls, but I usually leave with blue balls and find my fix somewhere else.

Do not shop here. Cashier very rude and did not want to listen to what I say. She accused customer for return items that she claim was not part of the store. The item was only $10.00. She tear off the price tag and refused to reprint the tag . When I told them that I want to use it to make video about the store. She walked away. I asked for her name and she refused to answer. The cashier was helping me also said they cannot give me the name. Her cashier # is 1112. I spend thousands of money at this place and I will say this will be the last time I shop here.

As far as the discount dept stores go, this Marshalls is a cut above!!! They are always stocked with the great brands when I shop there and they usually have a great selection. My thing is great makeup and I'm picky!! This particular Marshalls fulfillsmy makeup needs nd wish list items are even there!! Idk who the buyer is for this store, but they need a raise. They absolutely know what to purchase when other stores such as Ross, etc seem to fall short. I am a loyal customer!!

Very helpful, friendly staff. Supervisor and Managers, us staff went out of their way .Former Nordy's customer...now loyal customer. When finances become more lucrative, I'll still shop at a y Marshalls and other corporate co.panies affiliated with retailer. Thanks. Oh, one more comment. My late mother always advised to shop within my means. She was a very successful sales woman...hard working,company loyalty and top sales. Thanks again.

Clean and organized store with some brands know and love and some cool brands from Australia or other countries. I try on everything I like... double check for tips of broken zips, buttons and wait in the gauntlet of impulse buys before check out. They do have decent headphones and cell phone accessories here too. Every once in a while they have camping gear.

Located at the plaza with tons of free parking. Carrys brand names products with good, reasonable, and acceptable price. The employees are very friendly. Public restroom available. The Target and couple small shops are acrossed street. Safeway is in 3 minutes walking distance. Couple restaurants arounds and nearby. I would recommend this.

The cashiers are always helpful and friendly. Usually clean and tidy with well stocked aisles. While this store boasts an impressive selection of home decor and accessories, its options for stylish clothing are somewhat limited. That being said, there is no shortage of casual and athletic wear available.

Amazing Marshall's with an absolutely huge selection. Was able to find my son a bunch of stuff on clearance (3 years old). Also was able to find myself some good sale items as well as a few things I needed for our home. Don't live really close to this location but will definitely be back!!

I love to shop at Marshals because of good quality stuff and reasonable prices. Same things are available online but we have to pay shipping. I got some weights and weight sets which I needed them urgent. 8lbs,5lbs and 3lbs were in one set for $34.99. I was happy with this purchase.

The staff was friendly and understanding.After my horrible experience with the marshal store in La Jolla , i didn't want to got back to any of their store but tagged along a friend and went to this location and i was shocked on how the employees can make a huge difference.

It's pretty well stock especially if you are lucky to come when they just got new inventory and you see name brand makeup and skincare like Sheseido, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Nars. Getting pretty good kitchenware as well here. I would look here before Target.

lots of good prices. Checkout sometimes slow. Staff should wear more consistent uniform, since many employees dress middle eastern with scarfs on head and face (females). Nothing wrong with it, just company doesn't have professional polished look.

Yesterday night I was shopping and their was an issue that needed manager attention instead of talking to me she gave me 1$ discount on a damage sandal! I can't believe how inconsiderate she was and lack of customer service. Last time I shop here!

I need some ski gloves and snow pants. The employees here are super friendly and always willing to help you out. I wasn't able to find ski pants at Marshall but one of the employees recommends another place where we may be able to find our item.

Ya I got some shoes. But this places makes my blood pressure rise. Racks are disheveled. The purses and backpacks are a mess, with a lot of them just laying on the ground. This particular day it had an odd smell which put me off a little bit.

Love this location! They continually get new merchandise in on a regular basis. I go in every few days while taking my son on walks and I always find something useful or a good buy. The employees are great, very customer service oriented,

This place has a good selection of clothes at cheap prices. As someone with a smaller build, I did have some trouble finding clothes that were an exact fit, however, I imagine the prices are a big selling point for customers to come by.

I stopped in Marshalls and was very surprised at the amount of gift baskets filled with goodies. I was surprised to see such a large selection of different and clever holiday gifts with prices low enough to not break the bank...

I enjoyed shopping here. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. I found many of the things I needed and some I didn't realize I needed of course. The place is very clean and organized. I will go back again and again I'm sure.

It felt clean but that could have been because it was CLEANED OUT! I think this is partly because it's just after the holiday. The staff was friendly, the line moved quickly and we found what we came for!

Great place for useful bargains. The collection is limited but overall staff and location is excellent. It would greatly help if they get some additional inventory for middle aged men.

The cashiers are the slowest ever. They just stay behind the counter and talk to each other as the line grows longer and longer. They don't care about customer satisfaction.

Fame Fisher is a symphony to my ears. An Orchestra to all senses of customer service. She makes shopping to this store more comfortable experience.

Marshalls used to be more high-end. Their becoming Ross....but then again everything is made in China so quality is going downhill.
