I've taken my 2014 Ford Fusion to Martin Automotive for a couple years now and every experience with Paul and his crew have been extremely positive. Paul and Karrie are very thorough in their communication and their integrity can't be matched in the Indianapolis area. They're very friendly and have affordable costs. Paul's the type of guy to stretch himself so thin so that others can have what they need. You don't find too many people like him these days. I recommend anyone and everyone in the Indianapolis/Broad Ripple/Fishers area to get their car taken care of by Paul and his crew at Martin Automotive. I've now moved to Florida and started a new life in a new city and will have to find a new automotive business. (btw no car issues the whole way here. Doing great down here!). Looking for an honest, kind mechanic? Martin Automotive is the place for you. I had taken my car to a different corporate owned place to have an opinion and estimate done for an “airplane sound” I was having during acceleration. After inspection, the other place said I needed all four wheel bearings replaced and quoted $2700-2800 for the work. My gut and google research told me this was way too expensive, so I sought a second opinion. My colleague suggested Martin Automotive and I’m so glad he did! They worked up a quick estimate for the work at about half of what was quoted at the first place, but told me they highly doubted I’d need all 4 done. In fact, I only needed one done and in the end paid less than 1/6th of the original quote from the first place. From the ride to pick up my rental car to the family feel and honesty, Martin Automotive just made a customer for life.

First time customer. Lifetime client! This auto shop is awesome! Remember the good ole days when Dad and Grandpa had that one shop, that worked, harder, faster and was more fair than everyone else? That’s this shop! Took my car in for a full brake job. I had gotten a quote from a big name tire shop. Did some research and talked to a few people and was eventually referred by a friend to come here. Gave Paul the quote from the big name tire shop. Paul looked at everything that was on the quote list and he told me you don’t need X,Y, Z those parts are fine. Paul was HONEST and that seems to be a hard quality to find these days! Take your vehicle here you won’t be disappointed. The whole staff was great, shop was clean and Lexi (dog) is a sweetheart. Support the locals come get good quality work done! Thanks again :).

Edit: 9/28/23 - oil change on the truck. Full synthetic, in and out in 30-ish mins, they were as friendly as always. Took them three cars in three days: Oil change on my 2007 Honda S2000. They were awesome, friendly, professional and did a great job! I fractured a Fox 2.0 at the front left of my 17 F150 Limited; they diagnosed it quickly and got me turned around, installing my replacement coilovers and giving it an alignment. Rides like new! Oil change, plugs, and air filters on my wife’s 17 Lexus LS460. They recommended the same OEM plugs that I would have used which made me feel good about them. In and out the same day, 14% cheaper than the dealer and just as friendly! Great folks, the shop is really clean, and I trust them with the cars that I need for my life and that I enjoy running around in.

I've been in a few times with friends dropping off vehicles as Paul has been their local mechanic for years. The waiting area is great! With TV, WiFi, comfortable furniture, free snacks and soda/coffee, it's only a fake egg short of a continental breakfast. I.e. better than any dealership I've sat in. The guys there took care of me today by replacing the brakes on my truck at a very reasonable price. The brakes work now and that's what matters. Safety first, but the creature comforts are nice. Eavesdropping while waiting I heard Paul explain to ppl multiple times what may be needed later, what needs repaired, and whether anything is a safety hazard/not. Paul looks out for his customers. You can tell by the fact he takes time to read reviews- and respond (!). Can't recommend highly enough.

Wanted to give a quick shout out. AC went out in my mini van (our main family vehicle) and they’re one of the few shops outside the dealership who can service the R-1234yf refrigerant. They fit me in, in between their scheduled appointments for a diagnostic. Sadly it ended up being more than just low Freon but they are honest, upfront, and not pushy at all! They are definitely another go-to auto place for me before I ever even call the dealership. Everyone was courtesy, nice, took their time, explained everything, and promised their quote for 90-days- no thinking about it coming back and suddenly “inflation” hitting within that span. Thank you guys for an honest work!

Went in with a car that had a slew of minor repairs needed. They were excellent at communicating the issues as they discovered them, kept me in the loop on the time frame, and gave me extremely transparent pricing every step of the way. The day before I came in to get my car, they discovered an issue that was missed at first inspection and repaired it pro bono. I couldn't be happier with the service they provided. I went here today because I could not physically remove my extremely rusted and stripped screw from my license plate. The owner and his mother were so kind and helpful. I am a young woman who knows NOTHING about cars and I never once felt scared or taken advantage of which is a rarity nowadays. I will be going back for any and all of my car issues now! 2015 Silverado 1500, This company offers the best trustworthy service any mechanic has to offer. Paul Martin has been servicing my vehicles for the last 18 years. I've had him work on both foreign and domestic vehicles and they've always been repaired properly the first time. He's extremely knowledgeable and takes pride in his work. He's trustworthy and his rates are fair. He's serviced vehicles for my grandfather and father as well and we've never had an issues. Going to New Hampshire Saturday morning and found out on Thursday that the tie rods were bad as well as a locked back brake. They got me squeezed in and were very helpful, informative, and professional. Paul and the crew here are not only good quality mechanics, but very nice people. I had multiple issues with my Honda CRV. I took it to Martin Automotive to have a diagnostic done. Once he figured out what all was wrong he gave me multiple options as to what was most important to have fixed and what could wait until later. They do quality work at a great price! If I need my cars fixed I refuse to go anywhere but Martin Automotive! Its worth it!

Paul has worked on all of our vehicles. The whole staff is very polite, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional in what they do. Great work with a personal touch. Paul personally walked me through the issues we were having to explain exactly what the problem was. He saved us $300 over another local mechanics estimate to fix the same issue.

I've had Martin Automotive work on my car twice, once in the fall of 2021 and again in the summer of 2022. They worked on my front hub bearings of my car and were professional, thorough and really friendly! Paul replaced the water pump. Did an excellent job and double checked everything to make sure all was good. Even looked things over so I would know of some things to watch for in the future. Very reasonably priced as well. Don't be afraid to take your car to Paul.
