"Such lovely staff and delicious, good quality food that doesnt break the bank"
"Wonderful little cafe"
"I go here all the time time all my friends"
"The food is generally good, though sometimes better than others hence the 4 rather than 5 stars"
"Half decent food let down by really poor service"
Such lovely staff and delicious, good quality food that doesnt break the bank. Has such a nice feel to it, and the place is always quite busy with an exciting hum in the air! They have got an amazing selection of ales and stouts, I'm never disappointed when I go for atmosphere and variety :)
Wonderful little cafe. Breakfast was totally amazing. Very cool full breakfast inside a bread! They were very helpful and catered for my 6-year-old even though they have no menu for him. ( They did half price, half full breakfast for him) the coffee was also of good!
I go here all the time time all my friends. They do a vegan brunch and oat milk coffee. They have a rotating cast of really nice craft beers. The staff are all written into my will. If you go here and you don't like it then I have nothing to say to you.
The food is generally good, though sometimes better than others hence the 4 rather than 5 stars. The atmosphere is chilled out, the beers are good and competitively priced. Overall a decent place to go on Burton Road, better than Folk by any measure.
Half decent food let down by really poor service. We were served today by a guy dressed like 1950’s chimney sweep who (despite it being quiet in there) made us feel like we’d inconvenienced him by entering the place, barely spoke to us and
Probably our favourite spot in West Didsbury, we like the cozy layout, album cover wallart, furniture, staff, beer range, food and £3.50 pint of Aspall's on happy hour. Great for couples and small groups as it is small and has mainly 2-3
Went this past Sunday (27/02), no one came to greet us, staff organisation was all over place, girl in the white Cardigan was incredibly stressed and it just made the atmosphere uncomfortable/hostile, it wasn't just me that picked up on
I came here on a busy bank holiday a bit after midday with my partner. After waiting for about 10 minutes and being ignored by the staff, my partner walked up to one of them (a young woman with short brown hair) to ask if there were any
There seems to be a proliferation of this type of café opening up within Manchester, I've been to around a dozen of them so far. Breakfast was not disappointing; in fact they have made the best pot of tea I've had to date. The breakfast
Food was nice, but service could be improved. We were given funny looks by two different waiters for saying we did not want any drinks yet and just need some time to look at the menu. They were within minutes of each other. A little
Looking for a place that served good vegan and non vegan food, I stumbled across this place. There was enough variety of things for vegans without the generic sweet potato or veggie burger options. My vegan friends chose an avocado
So/so food. Rude and unfriendly service - from possibly the owner (looks like Julian Barratt?) - nice to all other customers apart from us. Only difference is we arrived with our 4 year old and 6 month old. Both peaceful but he was
Lovely place.I went for brunch with a friend and we had English breakfast, it was lovely.Small portions, big prices but it's located in a quirky spot in West Didsbury and, frankly, it doesn't get better than that in Manchester.
We were looking for a quality and price bar restaurant, and this place was a amazing surprise for us!! If you go please order the chicken burger is the best one I never tried in my life for only £11.
I just called in for breakfast at mary and archies, it vastly improved my walk of shame. The loaded hash browns were bangin and the girl who was serving was beautiful inside and out. What a lovely place.
Great place to pop into for some lunch, food is amazing, and staff are really friendly and welcoming. Can sometimes be difficult to get a seat as it's usually busy. Family friendly through the day.
Friendly service and great coffee. Called in unexpectedly after a poor lunch experience up the road - really turned our afternoon around! Good food, nice, cosy atmosphere. Will return!
My favourite spot on Burton Road! Great beers, happy hour cocktails, great ambiance and if you're hungry....the food is great! Modern flavours and ingredients, good vegetarian options!
To be fair I only visited a few bars this trip but this was by far my favourite. Busy yet quiet, helpful and friendly staff and a fantastic selection of draft and bottled beers. More
Excellent. I called in here today. I'm very sniffy about trying new places but this place is excellent. Prompt and friendly service. Fresh and - not too hot - coffee, tasty eggs
Lovely, cosy local bar and cafe. Great atmosphere, good food and good value. Eight of us had lunch today, all had something different and each one was delicious, really tasty.
Great brunch place to soak up that hangover from last night. Top coffee helps too. Catering to both, carnivores and nones with some excellent choice dishes. 'Till next time...
We had the vegan meze platter and some chicken wings. It was incredible and the wings were the best I have ever had! We will be back to sample the entire menu! More
Love this place, one of the few places on Burton road with more than one token craft beer. Only trouble is it’s quite small so you have to pick your times! More
I've got to say I really do like this establishment. The selection of premium beers & ales they have is phenomenal, when you consider the size of the bar.
Really liked this place. I dropped in for the first time on the off chance as I was passing. Nice coffee, good friendly service and tasty food.
Fantastic place for cocktails. Good happy hour deals for them as well as beers. Staff are enthusiastic, happy to have a bit of aachat too
Such Fabulous food, very fresh and tasty. We had the kofta wraps and chicken strips. Delicious. Such a lovely friendly atmosphere. More
Got the rosemary and garlic fries with the buffalo cauliflower, was genuinely amazing food!! Honestly the best fries I’ve ever had.
Fantastic food and coffee. Poor service. Seasoning on every dish was excellent. All in the small details ...a squeeze of
Lovely poached egg and avocado on sourdough!friendly staff .only one little criticism and that the music was quite loud ,
Best burger and fries I’ve had in a long time. Brilliant quality meat and epic flavours! The staff were lovely too. More
Sumptuous bagel with avocado and perfect poached eggs. Coffee needs improving, liked the music and friendly staff.
Very good food and drinks, excellent service and friendly staff. The seating and decoration are fantastic. More
Great little cafe on Didsbury, love the friendly atmosphere, the food was lovely, well worth seeking out. More
Love that this is so close to my house. It's such a friendly, quirky place and the food is lovely …
