Giving one start for unnecessary difficulties at the end of least made by Abby… For the first 11 months manager of the property we have been renting was Michele who did great job and was always with us in constant etc. End of least as per mutual agreement with owners we suppose to move out. During period of looking for new place Michele was on her holiday leave and in charge was Abby… I was looking for new place for around 4-5weeks. At the end it got a bit stressful cos we haven’t been approved even th r me and my parent seems to be perfect candidates and we were getting even positive feedback from owners etc. My partner has contacted one of new agents which property we were applying for and find out that current (at this time) agency is giving them miss-leading references about as as a tenants mentoring something about revocation without any details… if I was anew agent the first thing to my head is oh ok they must do some damage and now they got terminated. Well there was not any Reno happening at all but mould issues which was in this house before we moved in and it became worse ower winter time and since may we were contacting agency and asking if there can be something done but we haven’t got any response… When we did explain situation about fault reference our application for new place got accepted on spot next day… In conclusion if you guys want ur tenants to move out quickly as per request of owners due to future renovations or sell of property I would advise to give the most beautiful and generous references so that I wouldn’t waste a month of looking for new property for tenants!!! Also if Abby create this situation as ravage for us to refusing letting owners or architects or builders to get to house to check moult check with fair work and NSW low how often is aloud to landlord to request property inspection shortly not twice per week every week month due to our least end!!! Big disappointment…

I normally don't write reviews unless my experience was out-of-this-world awful or otherwise incredibly good. In this case, it's the latter. John’s team at McGrath (Willoughby) are outstanding. I’ve had dealings with real estate agents, both sales and property management, for 20 years and by far this is the best team I’ve come across. I was on the buy side in the recent dealing I had with John (he of course was acting for the vendor by auction). The team were efficient, transparent, courteous, professional and really helpful at every stage of the process. In particular: 1. During the sales campaign, John and his sales associates were transparent about interest in the property I ultimately purchased and were never pushy. I never got the sense John’s team were ever dishonest (not something I can say about all the real estate agents in the Chatswood area). 2. At one point I was struggling to decide between two different sales which John’s agency was running and he offered objective advice and tips that was fair to both his clients. 3. John handled the auction really well and made what’s ordinarily a stressful, high pressure process into one that was calm and orderly. 4. After signing the purchase contract, John offered good tips in preparation for the post-sale period. 5. Throughout the entire process, his team were easily accessible and quickly offered assistance to make the sale process stress-free and smooth. I would strongly recommend John’s team to anyone interested in selling or leasing and he will be my first point of call when I’m at that stage. After the purchase, I looked up John’s online profile and saw he has had numerous awards over the years and that would explain the outstanding experience I’ve had.

My family and I did not have such a good experience with your agent Felicia Mezei. She told me at an inspection that she would send me in depth videos of the property because I needed to show my mum, however she never sent it to me even after I messaged her to follow up (I know I had the correct number because she previously replied to me regarding the inspection time). If I knew she wasn’t going to send it I would have taken videos myself! Later, I messaged her with an important question about the application I had put through, and again she never replied! She even put incorrect details about the property’s description- people were confused why there was no AC and she wrote that the unit had ducted AC… not to mention she was 10 minutes late to the inspection so everyone only really had 5 minutes to inspect the property in a hurry. My mother couldn’t find parking because of how busy it had gotten and Felicia said she couldn’t wait an additional 5 minutes to give her a chance to inspect the property, which is why she said she would send me the video instead.. which she never followed through with! With the terrible rental market agents need to do better to assist clients in finding a home.

A͏ SUCCESSFUL EXPERIENCE John͏ presented as an agent with an accurate and extensive knowledge of the present market in our area. He communicated his knowledge to us in a clear, honest and easy manner. Our questions were answered patiently and clearly. It was clear that John did not have to "sell" himself in any way. We interviewed four different agents before selecting McGrath, Willoughby. John's easy friendly manner extended to showing a genuine interest in us, our situation and even in our interest and hobbies! As the selling process progressed, we were constantly informed personally by John about details of the interest shown in our property. It was clear to see that the price range suggested by John for the sale was realistic and achievable. We were delighted to be offered a price commensurate with our expectations. We are delighted that John was there as our agent to take us through the sometimes emotional journey of selling Mum's house. He saw us through the process with calmness, kindness and humour.

One of the worst property managers I have every dealt. Highly unprofessional attitude. We have been living with water leakage issues ever since we moved in and no actions were taken to fix the issue. Within a tenure of 15 months, McGrath has changed atleast 7 property managers and every time we were asked to update each one of them about the issue. The bathroom lock was faulty, and they didn’t take any action despite highlighting that we have a 3 years old who can get locked. We had to get this fixed at our own expenses and for the reimbursement none of the property managers were interested to talk. I’m glad to hear that the owner finally agreed to change their property manager and move to some professional company, maybe as an owner they were frustrated with McGrath service too. I wish there was an option to submit a negative rating. The whole experience with the Willoughby, NSW branch was miserable

Integrity, professionalism, dedication John McManus is an outstanding professional and I would recommend him to anyone who values integrity and wisdom. His insight, communication and guidance through our campaign was first rate. After our auction was ultimately unsuccessful (torrential rain resulted in a complete washout), John reassuringly guided us into the next stage of the process (private treaty) and patiently went about sourcing the next cohort of potential buyers. Within a week and a half we had exchanged contracts at a price much closer to our reserve price. It's easy to receive a great review when the market is booming, however John's true character shone through when the situation (for a brief while) was not as we had expected. John's core values are also reflected in the outstanding quality of the team at McGrath Willoughby (Will, Emma, and previously, Nicky). Thank you.
