I recently moved to this area from Ontario and needed medical services, so I visited this clinic with my valid Ontario health card. Unfortunately, the experience I had was far from welcoming. The staff was incredibly rude! A particular receptionist, an old white lady, displayed an unwelcoming and unprofessional attitude when I presented my health card and refused to provide service because they did not want to wait for reimbursement from the Ontario government. Despite acknowledging that their refusal was illegal, they insisted that I would have to pay out of pocket if I wanted to see a doctor, as they prioritized immediate payment over patient care. Again, the receptionist's demeanor was unprofessional; after a brief conversation about the legality of their policy, she bluntly stated that "the doctor wants his money first" and dismissed me without offering any viable solutions. This behavior is unacceptable for a healthcare provider, where patient care should be the top priority. I would advise anyone in need of medical attention to avoid this clinic. Their focus seems to be solely on their financial bottom line rather than the well-being of their patients. Thankfully, I found Pro Care Medical Clinic nearby, where they accepted my Ontario health card without issue. The wait time was less than 10 minutes, and the staff there were professional and provided a positive atmosphere with excellent doctors. I highly recommend Pro Care Medical Clinic for anyone who values compassionate and lawful medical care.

I usually like going to this medicentre because most of the doctor’s are quite nice and listens to your concern , but the lady in the front I don’t know if she’s a nurse or a receptionist was very rude . I came there asking if my son can see a doctor today because in the past 3 days his discharge on his eyes becoming worse everytime he wakes up, at first i asked if he can see DR, rani because she was awesome last time we saw her this lady at the front on Aug 29 between 1330 hrs to 1400 immediately said in a condescending tone “ I don’t think you can see her because she’s done @1500 hrs today , and the wait time is 1-2 hours which I understand, i was like okay i guess i wait, then she asked me whats the reason for the visit then i told her about the situation of my son’s eye and she said very rudely and certainly made me feel bad as a mom “ so you just decided to bring him today when its been happening for few days “ for me that is very rude , first of all i work in the hospital doing 12 hours shifts and I can’t just call in and leave my units short . On my only day off this lady made me feel bad that I didn’t brought my son anytime sooner in the past 3 days . Very disappointed .

Update from my initial review in 2021. When I entered the facility, they were quite busy. As I could wait a few days, I made an appointment. On the scheduled appointment time, there were several people before me however they must have been walk-ins. I sat in the waiting room for no more than 5 mins and was moved to the examination room. I was seen by Dr. Haider. He reviewed the prescriptions I needed renewing (I had my pill containers with me and was seeing him as my regular physician was on holidays - how dare he, lol), he checked on Netcare (I appreciated his thoroughness) and issued me the prescriptions. I was in the centre for no more than 20 mins. 2021 Review: I booked an appointment, the day before. Note, due to covid restrictions, they are not taking walk-in patients at this time. Note, they also do virtual doctor/patient calls, as well, phone consultations. The front end staff (Louise) was pleasant. After having temperature check and answering covid related questions, I was escorted to an examination room. The from was clean. Dr. Zhang was the doctor on call. He was thorough and professional. I was confident in his diagnosis.

I have visited this clinic twice and had completely different experiences both times. The first day was a Friday, and I was a walk-in patient. They were kind, and it was not very busy so I was able to see the doctor and get what I needed within an hour and a half. No complaints as I know walk-ins take longer than regular appointments. The second time I went was the next Monday and I was sourly disappointed as I had raved about the place being a great walk-in option and when my partner went in to get himself checked out they sent him away saying they are not a walk in clinic. It was really disheartening as their website says they are a walk-in, and there was no signage saying it had changed. So my suggestion to anyone visiting this clinic is call ahead to see if they are accepting walk-ins that day, as it seems to vary day to day whether they do or not. Some transparency would do this clinic some good. I would give a higher rating do to my personal experience at the clinic, but coupling it with my partners experience I can not give it a good review.

I would have given a 5 star rating except the first staff member I interacted with was not very pleasant. I was there Dec 2nd, around 3pm. I walked up to her and said hello and she said nothing and just gave me a cold look. I said I don't have an appt but would like to see a Dr. She puts down what she was reading and proceeded to take my info. She was an Asian lady with grey hair. She just made me feel like I was bothering her. Cold and just all around unfriendly. She wasn't any better to a few of the other people that came after me. I just don't understand why people in this field can act this way considering your clientelle are coming to see you because they need medical help. I do want to stress that every other staff member I interacted with including the doctor was all super friendly and pleasant. Kudos to you guys. I wanted to write this review as I believe you guys have a great crew but sometimes you are only as strong as the weakest link.

The doctor was nice. But the nurses at the front desk are very rude. I took my mum to this clinic because she had a back pain. One hour later I went back to the clinic because the insurance company told me I need a medical record to get reimbursed. But the lady at the front desk refused to give me one. She just kept repeating impatiently “if it is for insurance purpose, the insurance company has to request the medical report from us”. After I asserted it was my right to have my own medical report, she talked to her manager, and the manager said if I want a medical report I have to see the doctor again and pay 25 dollars for the report. I already paid 150 dollars to see the doctor, I don’t understand why I need to pay additional fee for the record. The ladies were not helping and were not trying to help at all. My worst experience ever!

Are the doctors there to only write prescriptions? No advise, no talking to you about your situation, that is how I felt today. I came to see a doctor because I have mastitis infection. She checked and ran off saying I will write you a prescription and I was like I am a breastfeeding mom and if in case I am pregnant can I take it though. She said I will be back I thought when she is back she will explain it more for me but she came back with the prescription paper and hand it to me and ran off again, I had to stop her and ask again and she said yes it is safe and run of again. How about not only depending on prescription no advise at all like what I should do to help it at hope while I am taking the medication, thank God for YouTube.

I followed a doctor to the Westgate Medicentre, even though it was far from where I live. I've needed a prescription refill for 2 months, but can't get through on the phone. It either cuts me off without ringing, rings forever then hangs up, or rings forever then puts me on hold. One time I was on hold for half an hour, then got put through to an answering machine. I left a message - that was over a month ago and no one has called me. I left another message a couple of weeks ago, managing to get through when the office was closed, but again no one called me back. Now I'm searching for a new doctor, even though I was happy with her. It doesn't do me any good if I can't get an appointment or a return phone call.

Brought my daughter to this clinic today only to receive poor customer service from the receptionist. The first words that came out of her mouth after I politely greeted her were, “go to another clinic; I’m done taking patients today.” After I explained that the clinic closes in 1.5 hours and no patients were in the waiting room, she ignored me. There was no greeting, no respect, no empathy, no alternative walk-in clinics given, just sent away and ignored. It’s unfortunate. The staff would benefit greatly from training in customer service. I may have came back in the future if I was treated with kindness and decency.

Four stars for the front desk lady. When I called on Saturday and asked for the wait time the receptionist name ko said “they have no wait time at the moment”it was very nice that I walked in and there was only 1 person. Very nice receptionist. Went in there for 2 reasons but dr. Muneer has no knowledge what he is doing. He kept saying I should see my doctor. My doctor retired that’s why I walked into Medicentre. I was not happy with how he treated me. I stopped by the front desk and the receptionist apologized. Which was not her fault. I just want to let everyone know that (DO NOT SEE DR.MUNEER) He is no useful.

I’ve been dealing with an issue for 3 months now and luckily I had called this medicentre to see if there were any cancellations. The clinic manager, Diane, told me to go to the clinic as soon as I could since there were 3 doctors in and it would be about a 15 minute wait and to be there before 4 p.m. I got to see Dr Rogacion, who is such a thorough, kind, and understanding doctor. She explained everything to reassure me and got me the tests that I required. Thank you so much for such exceptional care. No words could ever express my gratitude for the care I was provided by everyone at this medicentre!

I came to this medicenter @12:30 pm an older lady front staff told me its a 2 1/2 hour wait and she will just phone me when its our turn. I waited and waited trusting she will call me but no calls made. I decided to go back at the medicenter at 3pm and this fronts staff old lady seemed she forgot to call me and told me that the doctor decided to go at 3pm and asking me again to come back at 4:30pm. Wasted time wasted day off just to see a doctor for my son. Not a good experience but a bad day for me . Will try to find a different walk in clinic for my son .

I like coming here because the location is convenient for me, however wait times are never accurate. It's always best to double the estimated wait time because that's how long it usually takes. My experience here is always a hit and miss with the doctors. They need more than just one doctor running the evening shift. They always try to rush you and it's clear they're overworked trying to see all the patients by themselves. But the doctors I see during the day are very thorough and I appreciate the amount of care I'm giving during the day.

I come to this medicenter because the front staff at the desk are very kind and welcoming. They always give me a good estimate of the time to see my doctor and always offer another option if the waiting room is too full. They are always very positive and courteous. I also see Dr Sher and sometimes he is very busy and the wait is long. So sometimes I see other doctors here and I am happy with them as well. Dr Sher even called me at home after clinic hours to go over test results. Very kind and compassionate

I was seen by both doctor Dobriyal and Doctor Muncner, Both are very professional doctors and will get right to the point of your concerns, As with anything medical, you must build your own knowledge of your condition IN conjunction with a medical professional so a misdiagnosis is less likely. Humans all make mistakes. My only slight issue is the receptionists seem unhelpful sometimes but I can understand due to the volume of people coming here. Alberta needs to focus on doctors and access to doctors.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Booked a follow up appointment the day prior to actually going in in order to get a "return to daycare note" for chickenpox for my little guy and we show up and sit in the main waiting room with everyone else, meanwhile everyone who was ahead of us in the waiting room and those who have come after us have gone in to see the doctor (second waiting room) before us. What even is the point of booking an appointment?

I had an appointment at 11:15am wasn't seen by doctor until 12:30pm. That's ok! They get behind sometimes but as I asked front desk about how long, they gave me strange looks and abrupt answer. As I was discussing how late its getting past my appointment, with an elderly man stting at a distance the front lady rudely asked me if I want to rebook?? jumping inbetween mine and elderly man conversation. I booked a phone consultation and the Dr. did not call. I called the clinic and the automated system said I had an invalid extension regardless of which number I pressed. I called back and got a busy signal for 30 mins, then I gave up. No follow up call occurred. I can understand if the phones were down, however we do all have cell phones and even a courtesy call to let me know they would need to reschedule would have been appreciated.

Doctor Aditi Dobriyal was incredibly kind and compassionate. I had been very upset with my family doctor and even a second doctor for giving me inadequate care for my ear infection and resultant respiratory challenges. I had been sick for the better part of 3 1/2 months. I felt safe and welcomed when I visited this clinic and was given effective care that made a difference. I am finally on the mend ❤️‍.

The worst clinic ever. I booked an appointment at 11am for Tuesday. On Tuesday I came to this clinic at 10:50am and I waited there for over 2 hours! People who came later than me went in and out. When I ask the receptionist they just said I would be the next one when the physician finish the patient they had now. Really the worst clinic I ever had. I’ll choose any other clinic in Edmonton but not this one.

Staff are very courteous as far as during my visit here. Even though there will always be people who will get mad because they can't get what they want from the staff, the staff are very respectful. The facility, including the equipment appears clean & well maintained. The clinic is a part of the OIS program for work injuries, & they are able to track your records quickly if seen at another OIS clinic.

Booked an appointment for my son today at 2:00 pm, people goes in and out,we waited for almost 2 hours to get In. And another 30 mins inside. I do understand that there is only one Doctor. However, they should already calculated the time, that’s why it’s called “Appointment!” It doesn’t make sense to make an appointment if you wait 2 hours and more!!!

Extremely rude receptionist!! you're not allowed to ask questions to double check the dates because she is having a bad day and she is having a bad day everyday. I served by Jenine this time, medical assistant and she was good enough, but this clinic was quite busy earlier at the last visit. Jenine gave me information about the waiting time and other information right the way, she is a very politely lady and patient enough. I was guided to a room and treated by doctor Schalk De Witt no sooner I wait.

Was a last minute visit. Had to be in and out quickly. Very pleasant staff. Very little wait time. Doctor was great. Got to the point and I was out in 15mins. He was blunt and got to the point of my visit. No unnecessary questions. He asked what he needed to, I answered him, and left feeling like this guy knows how to get s#*t done.

I came here with my son for a throat infection around noon Sunday and didn't get to see a doctor until 3. That is over 3 hours of waiting. The doctor himself was great and was very helpful at least and not his fault, but they need to have more than 1 doctor there on a Sunday afternoon where the waiting room is packed full.

Randomly closed on Friday before 4pm Update: the above was during that weird Covid period. I visited today — Feb 2023, don’t worry I’m okay — and they were really efficient and quick. No one bothered to call me before my appointment that my doctor is not around. I just wasted my time and lost money from work because of this. So frustrating!

Booked a virtual consultation with Dr Hosein at 6:30PM but never received a call. I called in and was told the Doctor doesn't start until 7PM and there are only 2 people in-front of my booking. I waited till 9PM and did not receive anything. I hope the Doctor doesn't bill AHS after being no show to an appointment!

Not a good experience. Waited over an hour for a scheduled appointment. I had to leave after an hour of waiting but I saw others wait longer. They need to stop overbooking the clinic, appointments every 15 minutes clearly isn't working. The poor doctors are doing the best they can but they can only do so much.

Dr. Hassan has been my family doctor for a few years now and I'm very happy with her. She is knowledgeable and caring and will never make you feel like she is in a hurry to get to another patient. I'm also happy with the clinic overall - staff is friendly and are following all the safety measures.

I teach nearby and had a work related incident that needed an X-Ray Requisition. Although Dr. Rogacion is not my family doctor, they were able to get me in quickly to have her look at it. Was in and out in 30 min. I appreciated getting me in last minute and the good care.
