So I have been using them for my car services for a while now. I began before it was Mint, but kept going after the new owners purchased it and changed the name/franchise. I keep going because of 2 specific events. There was 2 times that I went in to get normal regular servicing, and I shared a concern I had with something else that I though was wrong with my car. They said they would test it and get back to me with quotes (perfect, not setting false expectations and/or quotes and being upfront). Both times, they came back to me saying that the issue was resolved/not replicated. This shows great integrity, because they could have said yes your car needs more unnecessary/costly work to take advantage of me and charge me. They did not. They were upfront and honest, they said that they could not replicate the issue so they won't charge me for part replacement for an issue they can't see/diagnose. The regular work I received came with an inspection so they said that covers the inspection on the issue I thought was present but was not replicated and did not charge me any extra. I now will continue to go to them and will highly recommend them for sure.

Thank you gentleman for once again providing excellent service to my vehicle. Again work is done swiftly and done with extreme professionalism. Your ability to locate the right part at a fair price and in town goes a long way of always getting me in and out of your shop quickly. i thank you once a again for a job well done. Last week my car mysteriously lost power and died on the side of the highway. After a good experience with Joel at Speedy Apollo to replace brakes recently, they were my first call. Joel was amazing and said to bring the car right in. He was able to do the diagnostics the very next day which was huge for me as I’m on call for work and couldn’t easily go long without a vehicle. He and his staff were awesome, professional and personable. They did a great job (turns out it was the mass airflow sensor), and were upfront and honest about what needed to be done, what could wait and what I might be able to do myself (this was my same experience when having my brakes done). The work was reasonably and competitively priced. It’s rare to find a great mechanic- one who remembers who you are, you feel like you can trust (as a woman this is hard!) and that you are happy to go back to. Joel and his team at Speedy are exactly that to me now and I highly recommend them to anyone for routine maintenance and/or diagnostics or repairs.

THE DREADED OUT OF PROVINCE INSPECTION! I selected this shop for two reasons. The first being they are local to our new residence and the second reason based on reviews. Not sure if you’ve ever had to go through this but it can be a nightmare. You are at the mercy of the liscenced mechanic. Over that last several years I’ve had three cars done. All no older than 3 years and with low kms. One having 6000 km and that was the biggest grief of them all. I was told it needed new tires due to cupping. We won’t get into that. I made an appointment with Joel over the phone and dropped off the van a few nights later. I left it overnight and used the key drop off. Appointment was for 8am. By 11am they called and said it was ready and passed with no problems. I wasn’t expecting any but you never know. Again… you are at their mercy. I’m on my way to pick it up now. Based on this experience I highly recommend Apollo Muffler in Montgomery. I witnessed politeness, professionalism and pride of workmanship. I’m off to go pay them

Words cannot explain the professionalism and integrity of the shop and it’s employees. I brought my car in for a brake inspection and quickly the team was able to do the inspection and diagnose an issue that turned out to be an immediate safety concern. The team was honest about the repairs and associated cost with the repairs. The team was transparent with me and placed my safety as a top priority. Unfortunately the vehicle was in a condition that couldn’t be repaired but instead of scamming me like many mechanic shops do with single women, this team explained all my options and supported me in taking the appropriate course of action. The shop cared more about my personal safety than making money from vehicle. A huge shoutout to Joel and Tony for being professional, transparent and having high integrity. This shop truly cares for all their customers and are more honest than all other shops combined.

They are totally unreliable.To be avoided at all cost. I wanted a quick quote for muffler. On phone he told me different story. When I was there next morning he kept me waiting around 2 Hours after that they told me it will cost 752 $ and they charge me 57.$ for the quote. When I asked for the quote they just gave me the total amount not the details they shown me in the computer. I think they need to improve their knowledge, customer service and also need to keep their words rather than manipulating the things. They pretend they are very busy but not, because lack of knowledge they take time. They are my neighbors so I thought they would be my future mechanic. At other place I get done the same work in just 280$. You can understand what kind of money they want to make from you. I will suggest never ever try and believe on them, it's totally Waste of money and time.

I'm so happy with the work done by Speedy Apollo Auto Service in Bowness. From start to finish, the entire experience gave me peace of mind. I usually find it very stressful dealing with mechanics. I always wonder if I really need the work I am being asked to pay for. Joel made sure I was comfortable with everything being done. And Tony took the time to explain the repair so I had a better understanding. This is the first time in my thirty plus years as a driver that anyone has done that for me. Once I was assured of the work required, Joel put together a generous quote that met my strict budget and Tony got to work surpassing my expectations. In the end, my car has never sounded better. Brought my car in after an accident. Said it would cost around $5k to fix the spindle which I have now done myself which cost me $140. They left my car in their lot unlocked with the keys on the front seat. There was ashes on my passenger seat from a cigarettes' and all the money in my console was gone. They charged me $630. $300 for a tow which is understandable, $50 for parts they used when they didn't even fix anything? and the rest for labor. On top of all that the part under my car that you'd normally put the jack on was bent, which it wasn't before I sent it in. and also my jack was nowhere to be found, the one that comes with the car. Overall bad experience and they overcharged me for nothing. Edit: you're just straight wrong, the keys were left on my seat. Everything the owner is saying is just a lie. Don't trust these snakes!!

I was concerned that my 10 year old BMW X5 had an issue with it's exhaust system. I came into Speedy and was greeted by a very professional front end manager named Joel. He had my vehicle brought around to an available hoist for an inspection which was completed by another very capable and friendly service technician. Soon Joel explained that everything looked good under the vehicle and to further put my mind at ease invited me back to visually inspect the vehicle. I was happy to know for sure the vehicle was safe and was even happier when I was told there was no charge for the inspection. It has been a long time since I've seen service like that...Thanks Joel and crew. P.S. I recommended my son bring his 08 BMW in for new brake lines. I had a major breakdown and my SUV became fully immobilized. I was able to get their first available appointment and Citywide Towing was great too in having it dropped off at Speedy Apollo. Speedy realized my car is needed during the pandemic to deliver food and is also my only source of income at this time. They had it ready in time for my next shift and even though the vehicle ran rough that evening they looked at it the next day and took care of a minor issue, at no additional charge and it runs great again! Great people, great service! I have been using Speedy Apollo since a dealership brake mishap and put my trust in Speedy Apollo over the dealership. I will continue to use Speedy Apollo for all my vehicle maintenance needs.

I've been bringing my truck and my wifes vehicle to these guys for years after losing a lot of money trying to find honest mechanics in the city. Once you find one, you just stick with them. I recently had a bunch of front end work done on my 2013 F150, they could have charged more and done everything I thought needed to be done, but they let me know that some of the parts were in perfectly fine condition and actually invited me into the shop to show me while it was up on the lift. Shady shops don't do that, they just charge every dollar they can, and then some. These guys are always great to deal with and I never feel like im getting ripped off. I have been coming to this location for the past 15 years. Joel and his team who recently took over the business provided one of the most pleasant experiences I've had there to date. Joel is professional, courteous, and communicative. He and his team were super prompt getting my van in and serviced for new front and rear brakes. Their assessment was thorough, and my repair options were well explained and fairly priced, without any pressure or up-sell tactics. Joel also recognized my last name from when my father had brought his vehicle into the shop previously, and generously offered a discount for customer loyalty. I am well impressed, and will certainly be returning and recommending. Right on.

I cannot say enough about these guys. I was in an accident recently. Had my vehicle towed there for a repair quote. They were super quick with getting all the details for me. Very friendly and professional. Worked with me on every possible avenue, including recommending another shop that covered the one type of repair that they could not handle (bent frame). They helped me make sure everything was cleared out of my van when it was decided it was a write off, were great at helping me get my tires swapped back to the stock ones, and even helped me get the licence plates off the vehicle. Once I find a new van, I will definitely be going to them for everything I possibly can.

I got an out of province inspection from Joel and Tony at speedy apollo, of course my vehicle needed a couple small things done to it in order to pass. Joel kindly explained my options whether it be them doing the work or me doing it myself. I barely finished repairs in time as there is a 2 week window before needing to start over and pay for another inspection. Joel told me that i would be a priority customer and they would get me in so I didn’t have to pay twice. He got me into the shop just in the nick of time and saved me spending another $200. There’s little to no trustworthy mechanics out there looking to save the customer money, Joel is one of them!

About a month ago I was on a road trip across the country and passing through Calgary when my car broke down. I stayed the night in the area and went to Speedy Apollo which was the closest mechanic near me with the best ratings. It was early morning and they squeezed me as I needed an urgent repair. They went over all the details with me, and made sure I was confident with what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. They were very trustworthy and friendly, which is something you never see from any mechanic. As much as I don't want to go back there, I know that if I need anything resolved, that is the place I will go to

This was by far, my best experience taking my old Nissan Xtrail in for servicing. Joel was amazing. He went above and beyond to ensure the best price for my repair, and promptly ordered the parts. I was expecting at least a week long wait but was delighted to have the work completely done within a few days. Thanks to Tony as well, who noticed an issue with my vehicle and addressed it before I got myself into a pickle. Speedy Apollo Bowness will have all my business in the future! I thought I would need my back brakes replaced as I have had the car 14 years and it had never been done. I love how honest and good these guys are. I did not need back brakes I needed them adjusted and most of all I needed a new serpentine belt. They could have been corrupt and said I needed a whole bunch of stuff and the brakes but they didn't. They have saved me a whole lot of stress. This is the second time I have been to them, first time was my exhaust needed fixing. They do a great job, honest and Joel and his team are wonderful. I wish I could convince them to move to BC.

I had bought my car second-hand knowing that the exhaust system was in pretty bad condition. When I went for a quote at other stores across Calgary & Airdrie, they kept wanting to replace my entire exhaust system averaging anywhere from 1500$-2600$. Both here and another Apollo store give me similar quotes at around 600$-700$, doing some welding and replacing only damaged parts. They spent the time evaluating the car (listening for leaks etc) instead of just taking a quick look like others had. Had the car back for almost 5 months now am extremely pleased with the work.

I've been going to different auto repair shops for many years and I've tried this shop located at Bowness. When I first met the Manager (Joel) , I got already a first impression that this a good man to deal with. He is very honest, courteous, respectful and quote you a very fare price comparing to other shops. His mechanic, a Filipino guy named Ralph, is very knowledgeable in any kind of repair. So, folks, if you're looking for the best auto repair shops around, don't hesitate to go in this shop. Try it and you will not regret and will not look for other shops anymore.

Had the cooling fan short out on my vehicle and a leaky water pump gasket. The gasket would only leak at very cold temperatures making it very hard to find . Joel went above and beyond to make things right and even lent me a loaner car so I could still get to work as this is my only vehicle. Tony the head mechanic was able to explain everything to me about the repairs and why I was finding coolant on the petcock valve (I thought it was leaking and was wrong) . I appreciate the hard work and making 100 percent sure I was happy. Will use them again in the future .

Had my check engine light come on with a rough idle while I was on my way to get coffee in the morning. After being turned away from other shops when all I was asking for was a diagnosis; I pulled into Mint Auto. They to were busy they took the time to run a diagnostic on my car which showed a vvt fault on the right bank. As I was heading to Edmonton the next day, they fit me in and had the part replaced before 2! I was back on the road Excellent customer service and will definitely by my new stop when I run into issues that I can't handle myself.

I would highly recommend Mint Auto Service Bowness. I came in with an exhaust leak and they were able to get the parts for me and do the labor same day. They also had the best price I could find by far which is so important as I'm a student. The thing that set them apart from the rest of mechanic's was how well they explained the issues to someone like me who's not mechanically inclined so I knew exactly what I was paying for. They even showed me where the leaks were coming from in person and printed out a diagram. Very friendly as well.

2018 BMW X5 - replacing original brakes with new Akebono Euro Ultra Premium Ceramic brakes & rotors. (Way better quality and value than the BMW std brakes!) Mint Bowness & Joel gave terrific personalized service, fair pricing, and reassuring product knowledge. I had occasion to sit for awhile in the waiting room and watched Joel provide warm, knowledgeable, caring personalized service to everyone - from tires to engine rebuild to other types of service. The team members seemed competent and also service oriented. Would highly recommend.

I can't recommend this place enough! The service I got was great, Joel and his team are super friendly and did a very thorough diagnostic of my car while being very honest and transparent throughout the process. No pressure to get unnecessary work done or trying to up-sell (as a woman I have found that a lot of mechanics/oil change shops try to swindle you because they assume they don't know a thing about cars), but not the case at all with these guys. Will definitely be returning for future vehicle maintenance!

I brought my truck in to get my exhaust fixed and I got excellent service. The staff were very transparent and up front about the timing and repair of my vehicle. The overall cost was great and was comparably better to other shops in town. I felt as though that they valued me as a first time customer, and I’m confident that I’ll be back in the future in the instance that something else happens to my truck (knock on wood). They did a great job and I’m very happy with the end result, thank you!

My new go to place for car maintenance, no more going to dealership or other places! It is surprising that they only charged $100 plus tax for off rim tire change with 45 point inspection!! Inspection could cost about $150 extra at dealership. The off rim tire change costed about $145 at the place I used to go. They also quoted me for belt replacement at the time of visit, it was very reasonable!! Booked an appointment with them right away!

Mint auto and the district manager saved our vacation when my catalytic converter came loose and failed. I called from Banff and he assured me they could likely fix it that day. The shops in Banff told me it would be a week! Not only did they get the part, install it all before 1pm (I got there at 9:30), he found a way to knock off about $100 from the bill!!! I recommend them to anyone needing car repair. They were fair, honest, and quick.

Went to Mint Auto today and was assisted by Manager Warren Chief. Warren got my truck in quickly, showed me what needed to be done and came back with a quote 30% cheaper than another national chain. Work was done promptly and Warren showed me everything that was done before they lowered my truck. Great workmanship, great price, friendly service and Warren is a stand up guy. If your looking for exhaust work in NW Calgary, look no further.

My experience at Apollo was exceptional. I was in a tight bind and Joel saw that my problem was looked after in a very timely and prompt manner. I’ve been to many shops and this has been the one where I have felt is very honest, friendly and money saving. Joel helped us in every step from the time we dropped our car to when we picked it up. Joey seemed like a nice guy and easy to get along with; however after I left my car he started calling me numerous time on things everyone would expect a mechanic to know about. They are very critical with their inspection, which is not good. If the vehicle has good breaks you put a yes or a no, and calling the customer to harass them and make them worried. They need to work on their mechanics knowledge and customer service.

Joel was fantastic, friendly, and very professional; he made the whole experience easy for me. I mentioned that I would have to bring my 4.5 month old along and he was incredibly accommodating. He really knows his stuff and I felt taken care of the whole time and I felt the service was quality, honest, and genuine. Highly recommend this place and I will be returning if I require more work in the future.

Lost heat in my Lexus and Joel was able to have my blower motor replaced within 24 hours during winter tire change season. He was very fair with the labor charged, and the technician, Tony, also repaired an issue with my air inlet actuator at no cost. Was transparent in communications, and the urgency demonstrated was much appreciated. Happy to recommend Joel and his team for auto repairs and services.

Great service! Took my Honda last week to diagnose my car because it was making a weird sound. Joel was very nice and gave me details about the critical issues as well as other discovered issues of my car. He was very transparent with his prices and recommendations. After fixing the problem, gave me professional advice about my car’s overall car maintenance and what I should prioritize fixing next.

This place is great. I used this company when it was the previous owners and they were a little undesirable. The new owners are absolutely fantastic. I brought my vehicle in because of intermediate noises that it was making, they couldn't find anything wrong. In the meantime gave me a loaner at no cost and in the end didn't even charge me a dime when the did a full thorough inspection.

My car was parked for a year and desperately needed some attention from a great shop, and this was it. Joel did his best to work with me and my budget, and called often to give me service updates. He even gave me a loaner vehicle to use while mine was in the shop. I %100 recommend Speedy Apollo. I was told to go here by my parents who have also had a great experience with this shop.

My issue was one that was kind of silly because it was ridiculously simple, but was towed in as a result anyway. They dealt with it really fast in spite of the lack of appointment. They were also more than fair, and extremely willing to work with me on pickup. Very friendly, I felt that I was treated very well the whole time. A great experience, especially given it was a break down.

Very pleased with the service! Have actually gone to both the Bowness and Westbrook location, even when it was Apollo. Pleasant friendly service, efficient - had the car ready when it they said it would be. $$ was appropriate for what I was getting. And .... in one case - the mechanic patiently answered my many many questions about a problem I was having with my car. Thanks!

Stopped in unannounced to see if they were able to help re-torque my wheel lug nuts (after I did a winter swap elsewhere). They jumped on it straight away and noticed the tires hadn’t been properly torqued. They were diligent and went the extra mile to ensure we were safe before driving out to the mountains. Hats off to these guys - they really care about your safety.

I have a mobile mechanic company, and these guys are trying to charge my customer 950 for a lower control arm that I JUST REPLACED, in order to do a wheel alignment. Not sure what this shady place is up to but you need someone you trust look for the lifted mobile mechanic truck in town.. Mint auto has been ripping people off ever since Joel left the shop

Came here because my car felt like it had a few issues so I wanted to make sure it was safe to drive. Got a safety inspection, they notified me of the problems and did an amazing job fixing it. This was my first time going to a mechanics shop and, Joel the person I was speaking to was very helpful! Great place for a good and efficient job done.

Communicative and transparent. They brought me into the back to show me exactly what needed to be repaired on my car and kept me in the loop throughout the repair process. Reasonable rates as well. They ordered parts as quickly as possible and got me in as quickly as possible. Joel was friendly and direct. I’d recommend this place.

They value transparency. I ended up needing to replace a car part, and they took me into the shop, lifted my car up and demonstrated to me the problem. The shop foreman personally walked me through what was going on and levelled with me. The price was reasonable, I verified this by asking around afterwards. Can't ask for much more.

Had a good experience. Joel did a great job explaining in details what exactly they are working on, so you will know what you're paying for even if you don't have much knowledge on vehicle mechanics. I recently moved to the area and noticed Speedy Apollo's sign while driving by. I have been in to see Joel a number of times in the last month for various work on my 2019 Kia and 2009 VW and in addition to be very knowledgeable, Joel is extremely fair and competitive. Definitely worth a call if you're looking for a mechanic.

I had car troubles after a long trip and they were very helpful. They provided me with a car to use for the weekend, were open for calls and updates, and the staff were all very friendly. We had a problem with a code P0340, they explained what was wrong and guided us through the steps of how they were going to fix it. It's an old car but they still managed to do their best to help us fix the problem. Our car was fixed very fast even though they were very busy. Great service, great people and honest price.

Garrett at Mint took care of our fleet a few times in the last couple of months. This last time it was a catastrophic failure on one of our service vehicles. Needless to say, if the truck is off the road, we aren’t earning. They had us in and fixed up asap, quality job, honest pricing and delivery. Definitely recommend.

A neighborhood Auto shop with a group of friendly staffs, offering services with reasonable prices and honesty. They fixed a problem on my car exaggerated by a car dealer only in 20 minutes and only charge me 1/3 of the price the originally quoted. I will definitely go back to them for other services.

The nicest guys! I got a flat tire and they fit me in and helped me immediately. They went above and beyond and were super friendly and nice to talk to. I recently bought tires online and had them delivered directly to Speedy Apollo. I pre-booked an appointment time to get the tires installed and when the tires weren’t delivered on time (classic FedEx), Joel was very helpful and worked with me to book a new time!

They replaced a wheel bearing for me. Replacement part failed when I was out of town and wrecked my brakes and rear differential. They managed to get all the repairs covered under warranty and took great care of me. They definitely go to bat for their customers!

These guys are great! I had a leaking header, and they were quick to diagnose- and more so, had the parts and repair done same day. The estimate was spot on, and workmanship was great. Highly recommended...this is why they’ve been around for over 40+ years.
