As a first time home buyer, I was overwhelmed with the process and wanted to engage with a conveyancer early on. Mornington came highly recommended by a friend and given the number of positive reviews on google, I thought that I would receive the same service. In my opinion, that was not the case as: - I didn’t find the process easy. Throughout the process, I dealt with various people. I got so confused that I had to ask to whom I needed to direct my queries to. - It wasn’t convenient, either. Received requests to call back despite expressing my preference for email. Also, all the time wasted finding a place to print, printing and uploading documents.. is there no easier way to verify information? - The whole experience made me feel.. like I’m just another number. The care factor wasn’t delivered consistently. Multiple people handling the matter probably meant to be efficient but it ended up being confusing and there was lack of accountability when a key element ended up being missed in the contract, hence, rendering one of my conditions null. Was the onus on me to read and understand the contract? I’m not a subject matter expert in this area so when outsourcing this service, I expected the contract to be reviewed and receive guidance on the process - not dealing with the possibility of additional costs. Is that not the norm? I wanted to feel elated of having a property under my name but.. that wasn’t the case for me.

On the recommendation of a real estate agent we chose the team at MorningtonLegal to handle the conveyancing for the sale of our home and the purchase of our new apartment. The team were thoroughly professional but more so were only too happy to answer questions and make useful suggestions. In the settlement of our new apartment in a multi-story apartment complex was complicated as the complex's Owners Corp managers (OCM) failed to do their job correctly in providing information to the selling conveyancer and then a series of blunders and inaction by the OCM went on for a few weeks. In the end a strongly worded email from the MorningtonLegal team not the seller's conveyancer got the OCM to do their job and the issues were resolved in a couple of days. I don't have any hesitation in recommending the very professional MorningtonLegal conveyancing team.
