I recently had my car's alignment done at this place, and I must say, I was quite disappointed with the results. While the service was decent for regular cars, I would strongly advise against taking your Mini or BMW there. Let me explain why. Firstly, they charged me a hefty $200 for the alignment service. Considering the outcome, I expected a more satisfactory result. The alignment sheet showed the numbers falling within the green range, which initially gave me some hope. However, when I took my car out for a drive, I immediately noticed that it was still pulling to one side. As an owner of a Mini Cooper, I know that these cars, along with BMWs, require a nearly identical alignment on both sides. It's crucial to achieve this balance to ensure a smooth and steady ride. Unfortunately, this place seemed unaware of the specific alignment requirements for such vehicles. In an attempt to resolve the issue, I reached out to them and offered to pay for any additional work needed to fix the alignment properly. However, their response left me extremely dissatisfied. They claimed to have no idea what to do and cited being too busy to address the problem promptly. This lack of expertise and professionalism was truly disappointing. In conclusion, I would cautiously recommend this place for regular cars, as they seem to have a general understanding of alignment procedures. However, if you own a Mini or a BMW, I strongly advise you to seek out a more specialized and knowledgeable service provider. It's essential to find a place that understands the specific alignment requirements for these vehicles, as this place clearly falls short in that regard.

Gaslighting, gouging, unprofessional, stay away, use any other mechanic I recently encountered a highly disappointing situation at Mountain Side Auto Tech. After shelling out $1500 for repairs, I returned home only to discover that the grommet brackets for my engine cover were missing. It was already dark on my drive back, so I didn't notice that not only had they failed to reinstall them, but they had also carelessly left them on my car's hood. The following day, I went back to Mountain Side Auto Tech in a different vehicle to question the whereabouts of the brackets. The staff blatantly denied any need to remove them, despite the obvious fact that accessing the alternator (a part they replaced) necessitates removing these brackets. My brother and I made another trip, simply seeking information about the brackets. It was only then that a mechanic admitted they had been left on the hood overnight. Contradictorily, another mechanic rudely remarked that it was our problem if they fell off, a stark contrast to the initial explanation provided at the front desk. This experience at Mountain Side Auto Tech was nothing short of gaslighting and deceit. For the hefty price of $1500, the service was unprofessional, subpar, and potentially malicious. I strongly advise against using this shop, particularly if you're pressed for time. They seem to exploit such situations to lure customers back and inflate charges for standard services. Altogether, a regrettable and unprofessional experience.

Update 2023 : Ridiculously great service. This cannot be emphasized enough. Update 2022 : I cannot stress how professional, upfront and efficient these mechanics are. Its been several years and they consistently perform above and beyond. They even take time to inform me of upcoming repairs and get back to me faster than I'm ready to pick up the car! Professional and honest service. These guys were recommended to me by another parent who has their minivan serviced by them. I finally got to use their services this year on our second car and I got consistent professional and honest service. Not only were they able to assess our first car but our second car got a very thorough Safety Inspection. Eric was phenomenal in not only being friendly and give honest feedback, but he took the time to answer my questions, hear my concerns and give me advanced notice on repairs that should be done in the future to keep my car running. I really do recommend them for premium quality service and get informed about what your car needs. You will need to phone for an appointment and currently they are closed to public due to COVID procedures. Plenty of parking is available but facilities are closed to public entry. Head to the window to speak with reception.

My father and I took his car here for a repair, they ordered the wrong part and their juniour mechanics thought it would be a nice idea to try to ram the part on by smashing it with a hammer. A few days after driving it the car broke down again. This time we took it to a real auto repair shop with some skill and intelligence. Upon having someone else look at it they put it on the hoist and showed us the damage Mountainside Auto had did, literally the worst job I've ever seen. The part he forced on caused more damage and when we confronted the owner at Mountainside Auto he laughed at us on the phone and said so what do you want me to do about it. When letting him know we were going to seek legal help if not fixed he responded with "do what you gotta do" and hung up on us. I would never recommend this company to anyone I know, this man was not only aggressive and rude on the phone but the service was absolutely atrocious. Please take the extra bit of time to look for a shop that is not going to make your car worse off when you get it back 1 star given because I had no choice.

I have visited couple of good jobs in Burlington and Oakville. This one stands out. Very professional and to the point. They are not trying to sell you new brakes or battery or try to fix something that may or may not be broken. If you need new brakes they will do your brakes and won't even try to pitch anything else unless it's completely gone or unsafe. I've never had issues at other places however every time I drop the car off I learned about 10 different things wrong with my car and needing attention apart from what I wanted to be fixed. It's different here these guys are busy and they only want to do what you want done. If they tell you there is something that needs attention and means your car is about to fall apart . Five stars

My opinion of these guys is through the roof. Not only do they do fair, efficient work they stand by their work and make great recommendations and referrals when needed or asked for. These guys are great with all types of vehicles. But for me, it's a bonus that they have 2 4Runner guys who have been a lifesaver for my old 4Runner. These guys are better than Toyota when it comes to my 4Runner. Same thing with my New Edge Mustang. It's always a bonus when the mechanics know cars idiosyncrasies. That said they've been great with our Durango and all of our friends various cars that go their exclusively. Big thank you to The Robinson family and their team of techs. Reliable, professional, and fair through and through.

I have never been able to find an honest, trustworthy and friendly mechanic shop until I stumbled upon Mountainside Auto. The shop is clean, the prices are fair and the service is impeccable. The business was able to accomodate me last minute for a brake issue. Prior to this, I had been loyal to another shop for almost 10 years however always left feeling cheated and unhappy with their quality of work. Mountainside Auto is a refreshing change, and this kind of place is hard to find in this industry. Thank you!

I feel a bit disappointed about my first experience here. While they did appear to fix what was wrong, $401 for a new battery seems like a lot. I was told over the phone that the diagnostic price would range from $60-124, but I was charged on the higher end. It's confusing because elsewhere quoted me for less but could not get me in as soon as this place could. I do appreciate the quick appointment, but was surprised that unlike other garages, the diagnostic fee was not waived once the problem was detected.

The team at Mountainside have been taking care of my car for years. They have always been professional, fair, and it is clear they take pride in their work. I appreciate that they are straightforward, knowledgeable, always willing to answer my questions, and keep me informed regarding any upcoming work and timelines for when things need to be done. My Dad is a man of few words but he takes his cars here as well and says “Excellent service“. 10/10 would recommend :)

Been bringing my vehicles here for the past few years. Most recently I dropped off my van I had just purchased used that had a number of electrical issues. They fixed up everything but then about a week later one of the things started acting up again. Brought it back in and they repaired it no cost. Everything’s been working perfectly ever since. This is the best place to take your car for service in Burlington, owners and staff are super friendly, and when I recently got a flat on the worst day, they went out of their way to come help me out almost immediately, and got me fixed up and back on the road so much quicker than expected. I don’t know much about cars and they always take the time to explain what’s going on, and I have complete trust in their honesty and expertise.

I can't say enough kind things about this shop. I have never been here before but the reviews and location led me here. I showed up with a blown tire and they were so busy (right after a long weekend). They were so accommodating and not pushy. I was treated amazing. Don't look for any other shop! You won't be disappointed!

Brought my car in due to some overheating and thermostat codes. Dropped it off on a Friday for the weekend, and they called me early next day to say it's done and ready to go. Thermostat and water pump replaced and a couple years later everything is still great. Went back for a coolant flush at a later date.

Came here for a tire repair. I was working close by and got a screw in the tire, so gave them a call. They got me in quickly and from the moment of first contact all the way until we were done it was seamless. Everyone I came in contact with was super nice and very efficient. Highly recommend!
