Lets face it, if you want avo on toast for breakfast or a burger and chips for lunch, most cafés are going to get you there but if you want coffee and cake......that's a whole different story. We were lucky enough to drop into Natures Cakes on the weekend and my oh my, what a pleasant experience it turned out to be. Now its needs to be noted here that my mother in law is pretty much a country cake queen and her daughter (my wife) has followed in her footsteps (recently releasing a cookbook). So the four of us (husbands included) ain't the easiest to please when it comes to baked delights. The offered selection at Natures Cakes was amazing, flowing from the cake fridge all the way to the front window. I ordered a piece of semolina, pistachio and rose syrup cake, my wife the fruit cake (dairy and gluten free), mum the chocolate walnut torte and my father in law the brown butter quince cake. All were offered with ice or whipped cream and we ordered a couple of sticky chai's for the ladies and decaf coffee's for the lads. There was a line out the door but Faith and Darren never faulted injecting the love and care in each order as if it were the only one and you know what?...... you could taste that love in every bite of cake and mouthful of coffee. There were moans, groans and slurps until the forks hit the plates signalling the end of the experience. I can honestly say, hand on my heart that I've seldom experienced these four people to leave a food establishment with nothing but praise, and thats exactly what happened. Do yourself a favour, forget the one four star review above (???) and get to this cake shop to experience the five star cakes, beverages and service for yourself or with friends and family. I promise you, you won't be disappointed.

My partner and I stopped in after eyeing the place since they opened. We have been passing delicious sounding cakes in the window for a while now and decided to stop in for a raspberry tart and a chai. The tart was well balanced and not too sweet. The moisture was perfectect but it also had a delightful level of crumble to it. And the cream on the side, if that's your thing, was whipped to perfection and complimented the dessert so very well. The hug mug that my chai was served in was very cute and I love the idea of thawing your frosty fingers against your drink on a cool day, but was teensy bit too warm to fit the perfect level of comfort. Nothing wrapping my napkin around it couldn't fix though. Was very comforting and cosy. Chai was delicious. Could be a little bit stronger with the spices and a hint of sweetness in the form of honey, but that is just my preference and the beverage was very warming and lovely nonetheless. My partner and I enjoyed the tart so much that we went back the next day after passing by and spotting a pistachio and lemon curd cake in the window that sounded to tasty to pass up. The dessert was again very lovely and we'll balanced. Could very easily have been too sweet but they aced it with the sweetness and tang coming dominantly from the middle layer rather than the batter and frosting(which was soft, creamy and complimented the rest of the cake perfectly). I am a lover of icing and don't tend to find many cakes where I could eat the sponge on its lonesome without feeling it lacks a little something, but this sponge was perfect all on its own. The icing really was just a delightful bonus. If your looking for cakes then Nature's Cakes continues to prove that it is the place to go.

Thank you Faith (& Peter) for your incredible and friendly service. From afar, I requested a last minute birthday cake order for a party of 12 on a Friday afternoon (today!), in the hope it could be delivered, and same day. Faith didn't hesitate to help out. They pulled together a range of slices of cakes in a box, and kindly delivered it to the party's accommodation, which is not a part of their usual service. Happy to add to the many 5 star reviews. Amazing.

Beautiful coffee, customer service perhaps needs some improvement as the barista seemed stand offish and slightly abrupt. However his skills made up for his not so warm temperament. Understand some businesses are under pressure during current circumstances, however you have customers, so the least they can do is be grateful and provide a smile… either way, I will most likely be back as the coffee was good. The cakes looked nice too… so will most likely be back to try one or two… thank you!

Delicious, flavorful coffee ☕️ - we had a 3/4 full iced latte and a strong flat white and they were both amazing. Super friendly guys at the counter and really tasty pastries and cakes. We had the Basque cheesecake which was really nice. We’ll be back - thanks guys!

I usually check reviews before popping into a place but the desserts here looked so delicious just at a glance from the sidewalk, we had to go in. We grabbed the big boy brownie and the carrot, pumpkin and pineapple cake. While the brownie itself was as it good as it can get, the carrot cake just blew us away! So so good! Definitely coming again! Didn't try the coffee but pretty sure will do the next time!

Nice surprise to find Nature's Cakes. Bought the BLT and other baked goods and they were delicious. Prices very reasonable considering the level or quality. Great to see a cafe that isn't just selling the same as every other cafe. Quizzing the owners on their produce and everything is all natural and some even grown by themselves. Plastic free takeaway as well.

Small shop on main street. Interesting and unique flavour combinations. Cake available to purchase by the slice. Not cheap but I'd return to try something else again. The lemon passionfruit teacake with a biscuit base was a little light on lemon but still great and the walnut, beetroot and sour cream cake was lovely.

Just dropped in for a cuppa and found the most amazing variety and quality of fresh baked inhouse cakes and treats, just perfect for a birthday celebration. Try them out you won't be disappointed. Well worth supporting this local business.

Stumbled across this gem of a place. Coffee service spot on and the cakes are out of this world good. If you are looking for cakes that are a little different from the normal fare but just delicious, I recommend this place. The rolled pavlova cake with fresh cream and strawberries are awesome.

I’m Celiac so Faiths gluten free cakes are the best I’ve ever had. Fresh quality locally sourced and from her own garden ingredients go into these delicious cakes that are made with love and respect. Nice chai latte too. The shop is super clean and the service is friendly and welcoming.

Love their chai, their vegan cakes are so good and they provide friendly service. A bit pricey and their seating options aren't amazing. But their cakes make up for that.

Super friendly owner and staff, and the most incredible vegan cake we've ever had - a sweet potato chai donut. Fresh from the oven. Was sooooo soft. Only been open for a few months and definitely worth supporting! Plus great coffee!

Best Chai Tea in Melbourne and the apple, salted caramel and apple cake - divine! One slice was generous enough for two of us. The cakes are seasonal, based on whats in season and there is a wide range of delights to feast on.

Visited there yesterday, with Covid restrictions in place. Very disappointed to see none of the staff wearing masks. Agree or disagree with the regulations, I don't know why a business would risk a $100k fine.

Purchased some cakes today one of them stale and no taste. Very disappointed.

The cakes are amazing. The coffee is spot on and they use genuinely biodegradable takeaway cups/lids (and yes, they still work well). To top it all the owners and barista are all lovely.

Best gluten free cakes I’ve ever had. Faith puts a lot of love into her cakes. All cakes are made on the property. Faith uses ingredients sourced locally and from her own garden.
