I am new to the area and called the practice, rather unwell, and asked if there was any chance I could see a doctor today. Firstly the receptionist seemed a bit annoyed that she couldn't hear me very well - that would be because i am actually quite sick with a very sore throat. I was then advised that I would need to be "pre approved" before I could make an appointment. When I asked the receptionist what that meant she said that she would take certain information down about me and then pass this on to the doctors who would then decided whether to give me approval to attend the practice as a patient... When I showed surprise at this process and declined as I needed to see someone today and mentioned that I had read about the surgery being a fantastic local service, the receptionist replied with a very dismissive yes thank you, goodbye and hung up. I have never been treated with so little concern or politeness from a local doctors surgery before.

I have been a patient at this practice for over three decades and highly recommend their medical services. Every GP I have visited over the years has met, or exceeded, my expectations for medical knowledge, bedside manner, and genuine interest in providing me with the best medical advice and care. Despite the challenges of the pandemic and enduring pressures on the health system, I felt that my then newborn twins (being third generation patients) received the same quality of care during the uncertainty of the first outbreak. The standard remained throughout each stage of the pandemic, and I commend their tireless efforts. Thank you for going above and beyond during unprecedented conditions, providing peace-of-mind throughout, and for managing a seamlessly efficient vaccine program for your community. My sincere thanks to everyone at the North Turramurra Medical Practice.

Took my sons to North Turramurra GP today for their covid vaccinations. The bedside manner of the doctor giving the vaccinations was extremely disappointing - one of my sons panicked at the sight of the needle and the doctor could not have given less of a hoot if he tried...he stared impatiently at his watch while we tried to calm my son down and was visibly irritated with snide comments being thrown into the mix - very unhelpful and unprofessional given the circumstances. We decided to leave without the vaccine being administered and will look for a medical practice / pharmacy that devotes time and care to their patients...something that the doctor at Nth Turramurra GP is severely lacking in. I do not recommend this practice if you are looking for genuine care from your GP.

As a family we have been patients at this practice for more than 15 years. Our regular GP has now left. This week we have had two distressing incidents. In the first it seems that the practice never recorded details of an MMR jab given 5 years ago to one of my sons. In the second I needed a referral letter for the follow up with the surgeon after my youngest son needed an emergency appendectomy last Friday. He is still unwell and unable to drive and I am currently locked into hotel quarantine so can’t transport him. The receptionist point blank refused to help facilitate this remotely or over the phone and after such a long standing relationship with this practice I was shocked.

This has been our family medical practice for 7 years & we have been very happy until this week. Our regular Dr. was away on leave and we had no choice but to book with the next available Dr. The only person was Dr. Birrell. We have seen him before under the same circumstances and it was not a pleasant experience. Giving him the benefit of doubt we rebooked with him. Needless to say, this experience was no different. He was patronising, condescending and belittling. When all you want is someone to listen to you to help you, instead you leave feeling. angry & frustrated. I would recommend this practice whole heartily but not this Dr.

We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful medical practice in North Turramurra. My family has been attending this practice for 15 years and have always received fantastic care by all of the Doctors. The Doctors here are willing to spend as much as time as necessary with the patients and are truely invested in their patients health and wellness.

this place is rediculously terrible. We made a booking for the covid vaccine like a week ago and now they tell me with a very rude attitude that we cant get it cos we dont have medicare cards. If thats the case, why not tell us in advance? we cannt find any other place to get the vaccine even within a month now. I wanna burn this place!

Dr Alex Raffles was my Mum’s GP - he was incredible. Supported both her and us through very hard times and helped us fulfil her wishes. He was always available and always listened to her (and us ). Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Could highly recommend you and your practice. I’d give a 6-star rating!!

If a textbook needed to look for an example of perfect general practice… This is it. Dr Raffles possesses outstanding bedside manner as well as exceptional communication skills to describe complex medical conditions in a way where you can follow along. Shame there is no 6/7 star option.

So grateful to have this practice in the area. Their doctors truly care for their patients, are diligent in their work, and experienced practitioners. I also find the receptionists helpful and accommodating.

This is a great family doctors practice. I have visited four of the doctors here over time and can say that they are some of the best GPs I have had the pleasure of visiting.

An outstanding GP practice. Dr Raffles looks after 3 generations of my family and is both professional and caring. His support staff could not be more helpful.
