This place is a real hidden gem. I happened to stop in here once about 3 years ago and am so glad i did. I have been back so many times since. The food is great! A definite step up from regular pub fare. You can tell the owner of this little pub takes food quality seriously. Beer selection is awesome! I was surprised by the great variety of beers available, especially their craft beer selection. So many great options to choose from. They are just about the only spot I know of in Calgary that carries BOTH my 2 favorite craft beers (blue buck and gypsy tears). I've discovered a couple new beers here too. Staff... well I've only ever seen 1 person working here in the past couple years that I can recall and I'll certainly be disappointed if she ever leaves. She is one of the best waitresses I've ever met. I have to wonder if she perhaps has some measure of ownership in this pub as she certainly represents it to the best of her ability. Decor is decent - it neither detracts or adds significantly to the experience overall - though the back lit bar is really cool and the fireplace is sure nice on those cold nights. Lot of tvs so a good spot to watch a game. Plenty of VLTs as well if that's your thing. Wish they still had their pool table but I get that they needed more customer seating area. Perhaps the next time the adjacent bay comes up for lease they can take a bit of that space and expand. Overall I definitely recommend Nottingham's.

Nottingham's Pub serves some of the coldest beer in Calgary! Their tap selection is reserved for craft brews, but "session" beers like Bud, Kokanee and many others are available by the bottle. The Common Crown Blonde Ale is a very refreshing drink. On-tap beers at Nottingham's are available in real 20 oz. pints and 14 oz. sleeves. The staff are super friendly and attentive. I have read several reviews that mention that their beer prices are a bit high, but paying $6 to $8 for a 20 oz. pint of craft beer is on par with the 16/18 oz. pricing for on-tap swill found at most pubs in Calgary, so I don't know where that criticism comes from. Maybe those folks didn't realize that the pints at Nottingham's are actually British Imperial Pints (20 oz./568 ml) and not wimpy American Pints (16 oz./473 ml)...

Pretty much what you'd expect from a neighbourhood pub in terms of food selection, beverages, and prices. They do not have a pool table, or a patio. They do have lots of vlts, an ATM, TVs with various sports playing, and free popcorn! The fries they serve here are the thick kind 4/10. There isn't a lot of seating or chairs, so if you have a big group definitely call in advance to see if you'll even fit. Our server Sheena was nice, but more importantly she had a sense of urgency and even though she was very busy she seemed to be getting around in a timely manner, and even got me a refill as soon as my pop was empty. Free popcorn, and I got the kind of experience that I expected 5/5

If there were a choice to give no stars at all, it would certainly be mine. Nottinghams was a one time a cute pub with a Red Seal Chef as the owner and operator. I always felt there was too much veneer, but otherwise enjoyed the experience. Today however, I meandered into a new location, feet from it's old home, to find that the layout had changed to a rectangle, sparsely dispersed tables and chairs, VLTs and a backlit bar that doesn't even have enough alcohol to cover the shelving. My friend ordering a beer and the bartender had to go back twice, only to have another patron point out where it was in the fridge. Disappointing in almost every regard.

Fantastic NW Calgary pub...Can't say enough about the absolutely fantastic Steak and Kidney Pie. Well worth the money because of the quality. Will try their fish and chips next time.. I bet they are also great! I would like to try some of the other dishes, but can't bring myself to ever miss out on the Steak and Kidney pie... Being from N Ireland, I feel I know my Irish food.. Nottingham's have better food than a lot of Ireland .Staff is also very polite and efficient. ................Give Nottingham's a try............................. Keep them in business.

Went here to watch the Champions League final, but it's not exactly an English pub. It's more of a suburban neighbourhood bar showing hockey and golf on a Saturday morning, with VLTs and a small collection of gentlemen at the bar. Nonetheless, the service was great, and the lone bartender put the game on for us. The food, however, was outstanding. Portion sizes that make you feel like the prices are low (and when's the last time you felt like that eating out?) I would go here again just for the food.

The service, was god awful. We had to constantly work for the waitress's attention, she was too busy talking to her coworker behind the bar. Meanwhile, our drinks were empty and our order needed to be taken. A member of our party had a hair in her food, they gave her half off her meal but the waitress was terribly rude when we did not leave her a tip. She then proceeded to walk behind the bar and talk to her coworker about us. The only reason this gets even one star is because its required in order to leave a review.

They have a help yourself popcorn machine. The server didn’t have the baskets washed between customer usage. She just dumped the garbage and remaining popcorn from the baskets and put the baskets back for the next customer to use. One guy blew his nose and put the Kleenex in the basket. The server just dumped the Kleenex in the garbage and put the basket back on the pile for the next person. Extremely gross and negligent. How they think that’s ok in this time of Covid is beyond me. This place is disgusting.

We used to love our local neighborhood pub but it’s gone downhill. Our server today never smiled once and was miserable. I ordered the beef dip not even knowing it was on special. I can only ever eat half and asked for a box to go. Our server said I couldn't take it to go and would have to charge me full price. I understand wing nights being like that but not a full on meal. We also both had drinks with our meals that were completely overpriced. Not impressed. You lost us as customers.

Chairs were rickety, food was subpar and the bill was incorrect. Silverware was dirty. Not a good selection of beer Edit: for ownership. I would gladly come in and prove that I was a patron and my experience was disgusting. You've got the wrong person. An "obill" is a spelling mistake but at least I can cook a quesadilla unlike your establishment. Not to mention you used incorrect grammar. I've since corrected the one spelling mistake - now you can focus on being a professional.

I don't normally like to leave negative reviews but this is not the first incident. I had a Caesar salad with chicken pot pie. The salad had a weird strand of some sorts. When questioning Sheena, her name I think, she shrugged it off as being a cabbage but agreed it should'nt be there. Said she take care of it. Not sure what that meant cause nothing was taken off bill. I.didn't expect it all taken off but a discount would be great. Sorry Sheena, no tip.

  • Clayton Lepla-combest

It was ok. I'd like to give a better score but 3 stars is about right. The ladies liked the drinks and venue was nice but.....food took 25 minutes, with the bar being considerably slow. We ordered 3 orders/flavors of chicken wings and it took forever. There was only one lady working on a Saturday night which was odd, but she did great considering. Would be more than a neighborhood pub if she would have had help. Food was great once it came out.

  • Richie Goldsworthy

Service was a bit slow (because the day we were there they were short-staffed, I think they expected it to be slow that day though it wasn't) and prices were a small bit higher than other similar places. The food was good, and even though the service was a bit slow, it was still good because the waitress was very nice. The environment of the pub is also really cozy and stylistic. I'd still consider returning in the future.

Amazing Staff. Delicious food and a great atmosphere. Found this cozy bar in my neighbourhood and it’s my official go to. The regulars are as solid as the staff. Please note that the hours on Google are wrong! Sunday 11:00am - 12:00am Every other night open until 1am Last call for kitchen is 10:45pm on Sundays And 11:45pm the rest of the week!

Wonderful little pub. Wait staff are very knowledgeable about the food and beers they have. l really enjoy the great selection of local beers they have on taps. Love the "English pub" feel that they have going on. Our food was priced for what you you received. Didn't feel over priced or under priced. They have a VLT's located on the far side. Haven't played them can't say how good those are.

Decent neighborhood strip-mall pub. Small - not for large groups, as I doubt the entire pub could seat 50 people. Beer selection and service were positives, but the nachos we ordered were incredibly overpriced for the portion. $21 for the large plus $6 for a few crumbles of beef and a meager portion of salsa and sour cream left me unimpressed. Not the worst but will likely go elsewhere.

  • David Twomey

It's the only place that I know that has steak and kidney pie. I was driving from Calgary to Edmonton later that night so I ordered it frozen. The steak and kidney and flake pastry top were separate all ready for me to defrost and reheat for dinner the next day. The pastry was awesome. I only had one disappointment. I asked if extra kidney could be added but I was unfortunately told no.

  • Daniel Rioux

Great casual place to chill and relax after a long day of work!! Sheena, Danielle, and Megan are the best evening server's!! I have been going here for over a year and I won't go anywhere where else. The food is great too! Umesh in the kitchen makes some amazing desserts, and everything thing else is top notch for a local pub. The soups which change every week are all also a must try!

  • Jess Macdonald

I cannot say how bad the service is here! I would give no stars if I could!!! Schena the waitress is the rudest, most impatient server I have come across in my 49 years of life! I will never ever go back, and will tell everyone I know how horrible experience we had! The person sitting next to us said she has worked there for years and is always like that!!!

  • Stefan Lojek

Went again to Nottingham's and it was a complete 180 from the last visit. It really all came down to the service. Our server was extremely attentive to our table and addressed us each with kindness and knew the menu well. I enjoyed the dish from the kitchen and would highly recommend visiting. Its clean, friendly and fun. Check it out

Not sure what type of management would turn away resumes without even looking at it? The management at Nottinghams does. My girlfriend stopped by today to drop one off and was told not to bother by the manager there. Very unprofessional attitude and conduct. I will NEVER be going back as long as management remains the same.

  • Katie Rowland

This is a great pub close to where I live! I have been here a few times now and the food and service is consistently wonderful. I will definately be back again and can't wait to try everything on the menu! I will also be trying the selection of VLT's as I have seen a few big cash outs while sitting and enjoying my beer.

  • Tyler Powell

Food was great, however mask use by staff wasn't happening all the time even when talking to customers at the bar, and when looking back into the kitchen, the cook wasn't wearing a mask either during the COVID-19 pandemic. Also particular patrons were leaving there tables without masks on and nothing was said by staff.

  • J.P. Gaston

Nice little place for a beer after a game at Crowchild Twin or the Crowfoot Y. Popcorn was great, though food service (like most places) had stopped by midnight. Little disappointed in that, only because i was hungry - but understand it's fairly standard in the industry. Overall, enjoyed the location and atmosphere.

  • Tami Bish

Amazing as always, fantastic food and service. The homemade soups are wonderful, all food there is always delicious. Sheena is such an incredible manager, server, bartender, vlt fixer and cashier. We have never seen 1 person run an entire front end of restaurant/bar like her...Owners need her there forever!!!!

  • Keith M

Nice small pub in just off nose hill drive, it has a great location in the strip mall. The food selection is distinctly British and is done quite well. The prices are high, but the food quality is good. They have daily specials which are a decent deal but they only bring the prices down to average.

  • Adam Smith

Decent pub for a strip mall. The food is pretty good, and there's free popcorn. The beer available on tap is well selected and it's always been fresh and cold. The VLTs are a put off for me. 4 stars might be just a little generous but it's my neighborhood pub so I might be a little fond of it.

  • Brittany Hemmerling

Overall a very nice neighborhood pub. The server was an absolute delight and will be back just because of her. The pub itself was clean and bright inside. The food was also very solid pub food and fresh tasting. The prices did however seem a bit high. Bonus free popcorn available to snack on.

Really enjoyed Nottingham's as we went on a game day (flames) and it was still relatively empty, though it was a week night. A really great place to go to be able to actually have a conversation with your friends without yelling because it's so loud.

Food is excellent and so is the service. Have lived in the neighbourhood for years and have always been treated well here. Staff are all long term and really care. If you have a problem with the service you should look in the mirror.

  • Tim Graves

Great servers, quick service, good beer. Not your typical beers on tap but they have a good selection. Free popcorn while you drink and its a warm and welcoming environment. One of the better choices in the area.

Our regular hangout after hockey. Service is always great. I can't comment on the food as I usually only have the free popcorn and a few beers. Selection on tap is decent with some variety of micro brews.

Neat neighborhood pub with craft beers on tap, delicious food and even popcorn you can take to your table! VLTs and clean washrooms. A bit on the pricey side for somethings but the specials are great.

  • Richard Beddoes

great little neighborhood pub. Had never gone in before but they have an excellent local beer list and a popcorn machine for something to snack on while enjoying. I'll be going back there for sure

  • Chad Milroy

Now that we have discovered this hidden gem within our own neighborhood, we have gone several times. Service is good, food is great and the atmosphere is that of a small local pub! Check it out!

  • Ken DIXON

Very over priced on beers and quality on food poor...Also owner is quite snobbish and has poor customer service. ..Won't return ever and will tell all my friends to stay away from this place....

  • Jacob Adly

The renovation and move really revitalized this cozy neighborhood place. Excellent food for a pub, and one of the chefs is a pastry chef by trade so there is often some fantastic daily dessert.

  • Grace Whitehead

We've been going to this neighborhood pub for about 5 years. Absolutley love the food, especially the homemade soups. Service is always friendly and I like that we often get the same waitress.

  • Sara Ga

We love this place. The food is delicious. We used to go all the time, but now that we have kids we don’t get there as often. But when we do go out for food on our own, it’s to Nottingham’s.

Local pub with great homemade food. Service is hit and miss but for the most part the staff are friendly, maybe a bit bored as it's always been slow when we've gone. Try the nachos

  • Reviewer Yyc

Food is amazing here! On a side note the pop corn is a great classic touch! only 2 problems with this establishment one is tucked away and easily missed and beer is very expensive!

  • Beth

Great food and fantastic service, been coming here for years and the soup of the day is always a delight. Try the burger and get extra napkins! Home away from home kind of pub.

Staff and food was good. Due to Rachel Notley's minimum wage and carbon tax it's to expensive. Will not be going back after being a customer for over 20 years.
