I had total hip replacement May 2019 & was denied any pain medication by the hospitalist for 20 hours, over riding my surgeons orders. Even after speaking to the head nurse I was only given only a portion of the medication my surgeon prescribed. It was traumatic to the point I only managed to get 7 hours of sleep in 3 days. I'm back at oasis october 2020 for a revision of my 2019 hip replacement. My same surgeon promised that the hospitalist would follow the aftercare instruction he provided this is not the case. My pain is not managed & my orthopedic surgeons instructions disregarded by the hospitalist. Feeling disrespected. In addition I was denied access to my rescue inhaler when I needed it and denied full doses of prescribed medications I take regularly. I'm highly satisfied with my surgeon oasis staff all except for the hospitalist disregarding my doctors orders, my comfort, health & safety. People make mistakes & i do very well to give them grace. The hospitalist just refuses to follow my physicians orders. I have been told that I need a knee replacement. I'm literally thinking of choosing a different surgeon so I do not have to be subjected to the negligence of the hospitalist at oasis. I gave the hospitalist a second chance but I refuse to give him a 3rd. This visit 9/20 my orthopedic surgeon specifically asked Oasis hospitalist to follow my after care instructions the way they were written & the hospitalist basically refused the direct order, making everything harder for the staff at oasis.

I had never heard of this hospital before I had to have surgery. April 2, 2019, I checked in to Oasis to have a right hip replacement. I had the best surgeon, Dr. Michael Wilmink, and his assistant, Andrianne. I’m so impressed with this hospital and their staff. Dyman in registration was fantastic. Erin in preop was amazing, so compassionate and caring. She soothed me while they were prepping me for surgery. I made a list of names that had a part in my care at Oasis, I hope I haven’t missed anyone. These fantastic people are: Erin, Sandy, Talethia, Dr. Blue, Chelsea, Joshua, Matt, Jasmine, Tiffany, Zaila, Carolyn, Dr. Stewart, Maria, Lauren, Megan, Stephanie, Fabiola, Oliver, Roland, Keith, Karen, Laia, Katonya, and Dianna. These people really care about your care and recovery. I’ve never before experienced this high quality of care from a hospital. From the moment you enter the hospital until you are discharged, you feel the compassion and caring from these fantastic people. I have to have my other hip replaced after I have recovered from this surgery, and I plan on coming back to Oasis. Fantastic hospital and staff. I can’t say enough good things about Oasis. Best care ever!

My first hip replacement, the nurses were mean. I suddenly got sick to my stomach and vomited and the nurse scolded saying that’s what the emesis basin was for. I was already embarrassed as it was. The bathroom was full of equipment so it was very hard to use. Then the nurse did not come around at the 7 am shift. Dietary had to help me sit up when she came in at 8 am. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Four years later I needed my left hip replaced and my husband liked the surgeon so I was back. Oasis. Hospital asks you to prepay before surgery. We did then 6 months later I got hit with a 1600.00 dollar bill. They blamed it on Covid. To add insult to injury the surgeon (Ott) fractured my femur and I used my FMLA leave so I had to give my employer notice. So I’m out of work because not only did I have a fracture which eventually healed but my thigh muscle was so weak, I couldn’t walk long distances and I get hit with a 1600.00 dollar bill!! I could go on…. My recommendation is to stay away from OrthoAz all together!!

I had my spinal fusion in January and would have given five stars but won't now. The class prior to surgery was helpful and front desk and nursing staff were all great. What I am upset about is the out-of-network surprise bill I have received from the anesthesiologist. How can an in-network hospital and spinal surgeon hire and assign an out-of-network anesthesiologist and then I get a "SURPRISE BILLING" of almost $20,000.00?! Now I have to go through a bunch of hoops with a mediation service through my insurance and will contact the medical board and Arizona Department of Insurance for assistance if needed. This is so disappointing after I had all things settled and prepared and the surgery went great and hospital stay was great and now this stress while going through recovery. I hold the hospital, surgeon and health insurance company responsible for this matter. Just terrible to do this to people.

My husband had shoulder replacement surgery on Sept. 21, 2017, in the afternoon. He had not eaten since supper the day before. The night shift was on duty when he fully awoke. They told him that he couldn't eat until they were sure his digestive track was moving along. I left him in their care after 9 PM. He was given an ice cream then. I found out the next day when I came to pick him up that the staff told him that there was no food anywhere for him to eat!!!! He finally got tired of fighting for something to eat and ordered them to give him some food or the phone so he could call me. A staff member gave him 1/2 of their sandwich! Surgically the hospital may be good. But the night staff is the worst I have encountered in my 70 years!! Even the vending machines for the visitors are hidden in an alcove that can not be seen until you walk right by them! Never, ever again!!!

This is Charles Decker. I had knee replacement surgery on 12/22/2020 from Dr. Duhon. From the moment I walked in until the time I left on the 24th, everyone was just so awesome!! From the check in staff to my incredible nurses Lauren and Penelope, thank you so much for the best care I have received. The food was really good also. I received a follow up phone call a couple days later to see how I was doing along with a card signed by everyone that assisted with my care. It wasn't a generic card, it was a card personally addressed to me. I was hesitant about going here but I can assure you, you will be in great hands. Dr. Duhon has got to be the finest surgeon in the valley. My traveling PT told me that Duhon patients recover quicker and have more mobility sooner. I am 6 weeks post op today and along with all of my daily PT exercises, I was able to walk one mile yesterday.

I had surgery on my ankle here last month and I had the best experience. Everyone I interacted with was great. They were so kind and helpful. From the check-in person to registration, and then all the nurses, technicians, and the anesthesiologist, everyone was so helpful. I was really nervous and it helped that everyone was so nice and explained everything. I was really nervous about the anesthesia but the anesthesiologist took the time to explain things and make me feel better. Everything went well and this was a clean and well maintained hospital. I even received a card from them in the mail signed by some of the staff shortly after my surgery. They made this the best experience I could have especially with how nervous and anxious I was and they did not make me feel bad for being nervous and anxious. Thank you to everyone at OASIS Hospital!

My wife had a full hip replacement surgery done just recently at this hospital, The entire staff, from the front desk hosts, the restaurant crew, the nursing staff, case managers, physical therapists, hospitalists, surgeons, doctors, nurse assistants, even the facilities cleaning crew! and I apologize to the many other staff and crew that I,ve missed listing, so many helpful, happy, knowledgeable , kind, friendly people under one roof made for as pleasant of a time as possible. Countless times I was asked if I wanted or needed anything, felt like a guest at a hotel. Very nice atmosphere also, calm and quiet, not the hustle and bustle, loud noises ever present like at large hospitals. Wish the entire staff the best as I feel they have treated my wife and I with utmost hospitality, god bless you all.

I was a patient at Oasis Hospital one week ago. I had to be fitted in for surgery at the facility. Surgery I was scheduled for elsewhere had to be canceled due to more issues in my knee the week prior. I was told to be at the hospital 3 hours before my scheduled time. My surgery was completed before the scheduled time as I had been swept into surgery early. The recovery went well and I was moved to my beautiful private room. The food was delicious ( matter of fact I was to be discharged and I knew my dinner tray was coming, so I stayed to eat. HUM!) Nurses on 2nd floor were outstanding! The hospital deserves an A++++ Matter of Fact my Mother-in-law is going to the facility tomorrow for surgery. I personally would not go anywhere else!

I just had a two level cervical spinal fusion surgery on Aug 30; the day Dr. Justin Field gave me my life back!! I have nothing but good to say about the hospital, the nurses, and the staff and mostly Dr Field!!! Everyone I came in contact with were very friendly, professional, and also helped make my stay as comfortable as they possibly could!! I am most greatful to all who played a part in helping me get on the road to recovery! I have never seen a more friendly, outstanding, and professional staff like I saw here at the Oasis Hospital!! Great job and thank you all so much for being such wonderful, caring, professional, and outstanding people!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! PS: the food was delicious too!! Thank you!!

  • Rhonda Ortega

My husband had a surgery scheduled and the Dr. scheduled us here. We weren't sure where we were going because we'd never been before. To our surprise, this "Hospital" was quite small and there were no signs illuminated before the sun came up...This really isn't a Hospital, it is a surgery center but I don't think that deserves them to loose a star. The care that my husband received there was absolutely terrific. The nurses were very helpful, informative, and had great personalities! I appreciate that a lot! There was a follow-up call the day after surgery and a thank you card a week later. Honestly I'd pretty much given up on decent medical care, it was a nice experience under the circumstances! KEEP IT UP OASIS❤

I had both knee replaced on match 6th. From the pre surgery to registration to surgery to hospital stay to case workr to physical therapy coordinaror to discharge and post care--everything was top notch.i had my own room and bathroom. Nurses were very attentive and pain meds, were always given on schedule. Can't even begin to describe the food.---amazing and delicious. Almost equivalent to a 4 star restaurant. The food was, always delivered on time. The kitchen staff was wonderful. The post surgery care was wonderful due to nurses being available to ask questions and refill scripts. It's a very well run hospital--the best I've ever stayed. I wish there were more hospitals like this. 10 plus stars!!

  • Judy Rance

I had my surgery here and spent one night before being discharged. The nurses were very attentive. When I needed help, my call button was answered immediately. Even though I probably requested more attention than I should have, I never was given the impression that I was a bother or a pest. My physical therapist, Jason, was amazing. He got me moving and made it fun even when I'd rather just lie there. I only had one true meal and the food was great. My husband was able to enjoy the food more than I as I was on a liquid diet for a while. I wouldn't hesitate to return there if I had to have more orthopedic surgery and would recommend this hospital to anyone having knee surgery.

  • STANLEY HICKS

Had hip replacement here. I cannot say enough about the care I received here. The knowledge and professionalism of the nursing staff, PT techs,, doctors (special kudos to the best Ortho Dr. EVER, Amber Randall), housekeeping and Oasis Cafe (first hospital food I've had that I would go here for lunch when NOT hospitalized! ) is always present. The welfare of patients is obviously uppermost in their actions, attitude and concern. They always listened to what I had to say and I n ever heard ONE complaint fron the nurse station or hallway. Nobody wants to be confined for surgery, but this is the place to be if necessary!

  • Harman Wadia

Hospital stays are not pleasant ; but this was an anomaly. The entire staff , from Registration to Discharge were friendly, accommodating, caring and professional. The transition from Surgery to care was flawless and ALL nurses, PCN, Case managers were wonderful -to name a few, but certainly not limited to -Kaley, Lauren ,Maddie, Kimberly , Ash were truly compassionate and caring in their chosen profession. The kitchen staff were very accommodating and the food was prepared well. I am really not looking forward to my next scheduled surgery there-but I know I will be in good and caring hands !

  • Cami D

My mom had back surgery today and although I was not there - this review is from my Dad. "I was VERY impressed with Dr. Justin Field and the staff at Oasis Hospital. They were very courteous manners in not only taking care of the patient, but also checking in on our family to see if they could do anything for us. Dr. Fields had incredible bedside manner and put her at ease explaining what he was going to do and making sure she was comfortable with all that was discussed. I am VERY appreciative at the way everything turned out and couldn't be more pleased with our experience."

  • Rick Nielsen

My back surgery went well (9 hours) but the recovery experience was not acceptable. I was at the facility for a week due to the severity of the operation. The nursing staff seemed to be registry rather than employees of the hospital. Night shift was slow to respond. A night PTA didn't wake me for my pain med as agreed and one forgot to plug my leg pressure system back in. I don't need clots in my legs. The Oasis food service should be embarrassed. The food was always dry and often burned on one side. See if your surgeon uses other facilities and give them a try.

  • Richard Muenchow

Two stars for nice and clean looking, otherwise, the worst care I ever received. Completely short staffed, because I received No attention for almost 4hrs, ran out of water and full urinal, I refilled the urinal immediately after emptied. I was very rudely addressed several times by nursing staff and PCT. For wearing my cpap, sleeping, walking after I was told to walk, horrible Miscommunication, in staff, Lack of providing my correct Medications in proper timing. The absolute worst environment for healing. Will never stay again, or refer anyone.

  • Mike Cannon

My experience with oasis hospital was 100% positive. The staff to patient ratio was just right. Whenever I needed medication or help going to the restroom there was always somebody available to help me Nursing staff were quick to respond and we’re always friendly and kind. The food was excellent, the hospital was quiet. The room was large, private and had plenty of TV channels to select from I had a hip replacement performed and hopefully will never need to come back but if I ever need another hip replaced I would like it done at this hospital

  • Veronica Ortiz

This hospital is amazing, from the office staff to all the nurses, PT staff, Dr's. The food was excellent which you can't say at most hospitals. I had total knee replacement surgery on the 05-26-21 they had me up the same day and walking down the hall the next. I was amazed. Dr. Ott is a great surgeon, I can already tell the long scar is not going to be bad. When it comes time for my other knee I will definitely be coming here. I would recommend Oasis hospital to anyone. Thank you for the great care you give your patients.

  • Elizabeth Vireich

Great service and staff! great food too! I just had a bad experience with a nurse. She tried so hard sticking the needle for the IV so many times ( like 4-5 times) , not apologizing and saying that the bruise will be naughty next time... the bruise was so bad in the following weeks that I really couldn't believe that was worse thing in my entire stay at the hospital where I had my knee replacement surgery done. I loved everything else but just that experience with the nurse ( I wish I could remember the name) :(

  • Sterling Beeaff

Without a doubt the best hospital experience I've ever had. I would really recommend taking the Preoperative Education class - as it prepares you for the surgery experience. From that moment through admissions, surgery, and recovery everyone I encountered was caring, professional and highly trained. Dr. Patrick Gaylor, the internist, is an extraordinary physician and provided me with great medical expertise and counsel. If I ever again need orthopedic surgery I would not go anywhere else.

  • Alan Sweetow

My daughter had a second surgery here to repair her total knee damage that resulted from the lack of proper care at Gateway Surgery Center the previous day. The staff here is wonderful! The difference was night and day compared to the nurses the day before. The facility is beautiful, clean and has good food available for those awaiting the patient. I was kept aware in a timely manner of her progress during and following the surgery. Use this center if you have a choice between the two.

  • Kristy Dawn

I came here to have a neck fusion surgery. Everyone on staff from the receptionist, to check in, to all the nurses and doctors was amazing. I felt like I was being taken care of by family. The food wasn't your typical bland hospital food. The single room was cozy, quiet, and spacious. My aftercare Techs and Nurses took amazing care of me, always checking on me and quick to answer my calls. If you have the opportunity to have surgery here, you will be well taken care of.

  • Harry beyer

I have now been home a week after my surgery and all going well. Oasis was clean , well managed and all personnel were top notch. The staff was constantly timely, friendly and professional. Each staff member clearly explained what I should except during recovery and how to address it. Their at home follow up staff were timely and easy to contact. All is going to schedule and we are very pleased with the hospital. P . S. The food was also excellent.

  • Earlene Mahar

Best hospital EVER for orthopedic care & surgery. All of the staff are professional, educated in the care & treatment for orthopedic patients. The housekeeping staff, ambassadors in the cafe & Chef are very courteous & treat with dignity. Every nurse & Dr. has a smile when they come in, every question answered in terms you can understand. Dr. Amber Randall is by far the best Orthopedic Surgeon & goes above & beyond for her patients comfort & care.

  • Keith Swartz

I had an out-patient distal bicep repair done at Oasis and can't say enough good things about the whole experience. From intake to release the entire staff was very friendly and yet professional. Every step in the process was thoroughly explained and I was kept entirely at ease from start to finish. I even received a follow-up call on the 2nd day after surgery to ask how I was doing and if I had any questions. Oasis is a top notch facility.

  • Lawrence Sullivan

I had my hip replacement surgery done here on 1/21/2021 - I am originally from Boston and back east we have some of the best hospitals in the country so the bar is quite high. I had an excellent experience at Oasis with the facility and staff and everything in between. The scheduling and the extra Covid precautions and the communication were all professional and top notch. I couldn't recommend this facility and staff more. Thank you!!

  • Kirsten Nicholson

I stayed overnight after removing hardware from a spinal fusion on April 5, 2022. The hospital staff were all so incredible and truly wanted to give the best care for me. They always checked to make sure I wasn't in pain and were so kind! I couldn't recommend this hospital enough for your surgery! They even sent me a get well card to my home after I was released wishing me well in my recovery, so sweet! Also, the food was amazing :)

  • sheri luedtke

I was at Oasis for a total hip replacement earlier this month. I’ve been in several hospitals in my life & was very impressed with the service I received at Oasis. All of my needs were attended to without having to ask or wait for staff to be available. The personnel were all excellent ... from the front desk to the medical staff taking care of me before & after surgery. I highly recommend this facility.

  • Jaree Schults

I had the best Doctor, Amber Randall, and the best hospital team I could ever ask for. Everyone has taken excellent care of me, and gone above and beyond to keep me comfortable and happy. Also, I must admit the food was better than expected as well. Hands down, the best hospital experience I've ever had. Thank you everyone at Oasis, and I'll see you again for the other hip! Jaree Schults

  • JoLynn McConaghie

Great experience on the day of surgery. The reason for the 2 stars is because we paid money upfront that insurance is now covering and they will not get back to me to refund. I have left 4 voicemails with billing and no one will return my call. If you do use this hospital don’t pay money up front! Wait for insurance to pay and then pay them the remaining.

  • Brittany Behling

Staff is great! Everyone is kind and on time! They care so much! Everyone is constantly working, listened to all of our concerns, addressed everything accordingly. Cafe is incredible, there was a mistake made, and they fixed it immediate and beyond expectation! Facility is nice and clean, all staff is professional. Highly recommend! We had a great stay!

  • Bob Dean

The hospital and staff are great. We needed rehabilitation from the start, the hospital suggested on Monticito Rehabilitation Center, rundown sink that is stopped up, you to share the bathroom with 4 people. The hospital should check these place out. The dirt is unbelievable. Is some in the hospital on the "take", the only I figure out!

  • Joe Eafrati

The people at Oasis Hospital from the receptionist to the nurses and especially my surgeon Dr. Harmsen were very professional. The hospital is very clean and they have a great cafeteria. All of the rooms are private and spacious. My wife had to stay with me overnight and they treated her as well as they treated me. Thanks to all.

  • Phil Rush

I recently had a neck fusion at C3-C5. I received excellent care and when I developed complications and Medicare would not extend my stay the Case Management office stepped in and got approval to send me to a top notch rehabilitation center named Sagewood Acacia. I have nothing but praise for the staff at Oasis.

  • Donna Shepherd

My knee replacement was done at this hospital, I am very grateful for the care that I received there. Food was better than some high End restaurants! I felt as though everyone was on the ball and that I received the best care possible. Thank you all for making my surgery more pleasant than I'd expected.

  • Velia H Bribiescas

Just had a total knee replacement on April 6th, 2021. Stayed 2 days. The Staff are very friendly, reliable, professional. They helped me recover fast. The food was awesome. I had a room to myself. I recommend O.A.S.S., to everyone. Thank you staff for being there for me. God Bless everyone of you!!!!

  • Mrs. Bills

Oasis was beautiful. Every employee was extra accommodating & kind. The nurses were top notch. I had 3 different nurses during my stay. The PCT’s were also excellent. Never had to use my call light as I was frequently checked up on but not one time was I disturbed during the night. Great hospital!

  • Cindi Salvatore

I had a total knee replacement at Oasis nearly a year ago and I cannot offer higher praise for the facility and staff! I have NEVER had such a smooth, seamless surgical experience and will absolutely go to Oasis for future orthopedic surgery needs without hesitation.

  • Rosalie Weatherhead

My stay was amazing. I had a hip replacement surgery and I felt like everyone cared about my care. Response to call light was fast and they even offer a "quiet kit" that has eye mask and earplugs and headphones! White noise machine by the bed. W

  • Ida Olea

Exceptional nursing care, friendly staff that go above and beyond. The environment is very clean, it doesn't smell like a hospital, the food is amazing resturant quality! Thank you to Amy B, Peggy H, and Caryn V for making our stay a great one!

  • Ray Rodriguez

This hospital is like a 5-star hotel! I just had my 2nd full knee replacement on the 18th with Dr Sanders and couldn't be happier. A private room, caring, professional & attentive staff as well as an accomplished Chef just to name a few!

  • Kelley Mitchell

I have had 3 surgeries here in 2 years! I can not say enough about this place. Amazing care from the moment you walk in. Delicious food, great care and positive results. If you have to have surgery this is where you want to be.

  • Cynthia Pivero

My significant other had a knee replacement. This was by far the best hospital experience, quiet, clean and professional and attentive staff. Thank you all for taking such excellent care of my Joe!!!

  • Deborah Ntabwoba

Worst customer service I’ve ever had. Called them to ask if they could take my insurance and the guy on the phone was very rude, couldn’t answer my question and just kept dismissing me.

  • Maureen Edwards

I had a knee replacement Friday. The hospital was awesome. All the nurses and my Dr Sanders were very good. The food was very good too. I highly recommend this hospital for ortho.

  • Tom Thornton
