As a visitor to Sherbrooke, I was skeptical that I could find a modern, upscale burger, that met with my big-city foodie-guy expectations. After very late night at a wedding in Lac Megantic, a very long drive back to Sherbrooke, and a very short sleep, I was in desperate need of a really good burger. I did a quick Google search (honestly, I googled "gourmet burger, Sherbrooke") and up popped OMG Resto. "local aged freshly ground daily" were exactly the words I was looking for! Just a few minutes away by car, and open on Sunday! Awesome! I was there in a heartbeat. Upon arrival, "Holy crap!", the place is absolutely stunning! An old cathedral-type church, transformed into something out of the South Beach nightclub. Multi-leveled, high ceiling, slick, ultra-cool, I could go on. The place is dripping with style. Seated by the hostess at the outdoor deck on a sunny day was the perfect touch. The menu is upscale comfort food; burgers, steaks, fish and chips, wings, mac and cheese fries, classy renditions of poutine, awesome cocktail menu, again I could go on. But I was here for a burger. I ordered the "Classique" with aged cheddar and bacon, medium rare, with onion rings instead of fries and a root beer. After a very long wait, in a nearly empty restaurant (it was noon on a Sunday) my burger arrived. Unfortunately it was without the cheese that I'd ordered so I sent it back. Two minutes later it came back under a layer of melted cheddar. The flavor was of smoky bacon, slight ting of the aged beef, perfectly medium rare and juicy. However, the small patty was overwhelmed by the slightly too large bun (which was fresh and sufficiently smooshy as a burger bun should be) and the whole affair was over way too soon. For a $14 burger, I was expecting something close to 8-10 ounces, but this was more like 6 ounces. Not enough. Not quite up to the hype of the seriously awesome looking space. The onion rings were perfect, and so was the chocolate stuffed fried doughnuts that we had for dessert. Please OMG Resto, make the burger a bit bigger and I will be back when I return for another visit to Sherbrooke later this year!

This restaurant is a converted church so those of some faiths might take offence to the décor. We knew this from the start, so it was no surprise. The whole place is very colorful and with its multiple levels there is lots to explore. They have parking off the street with easy access. We were fortunate that some in our party could read and speak French because they did not have an English menu. Even so, the staff were very kind and helpful. The four of us had burgers (their specialty). Everyone was pleased with their meal as the burgers were cooked exactly to our requests. We were there midweek for lunch so I couldn’t speak to the service during a busier time, but we were served promptly, and our meal came quickly. We would go back.

First time to Sherbrooke and were initially pleased with choosing OMG. The atmosphere was very inviting and the drinks were delicious (though they should advertise on the menu that drink specials end at 4pm). We both ordered burgers as we noticed online that was their specialty. After waiting 45 minutes for our order (we arrived to an empty restaurant) we were told that our orders would be prepared after the bus group who arrived 15 minutes after we ordered. Took a while to get an answer but finally after an hour wait our burgers arrived...cold. The waitress was very nice, provided good service and was apologetic. After requesting twice to see him, the manager came over and was also apologetic...at least they offered to comp the meal. Even that still left a bad taste in our mouths.

We saw this restaurant when passing by and because it was so crowded we assumed it must be the “it spot” in Coaticook. Service was borderline okay.. they let us bring our dog which was great but otherwise .. it wasn’t so good. The food was terrible! The chicken burger was chewy and when I took it apart I realized that they had microwaved the chicken!!!!! It was cold on the outside and sizzling hot in the inside (and only part of it). The other burger was salty and oily .. just terrible. We got calamari for almost 20$ and the portion was SO small!! The drinks were bad too (both mojitos that we got the regular and raspberry flavoured).. they were way too bitter no sweetener added whatsoever!

What a nightmare! Throughout our meal, servers kept bringing us plates and asking "is this yours?" (even before we ordered). The musak was too loud (not for us, for the tragically under-powered sound system), and the song list was clearly salvaged from an elevator in hell 10 years ago. When we were finally able to order (after a substantial wait), the food arrived promptly. The portions were decent (except the kids meals, who ordered adult, meal-size "Party Mix" which was pathetically miniscule). And this morning we all had diarrhea. Trashy, disorganized, over-priced, and to be avoided at all costs. Never again.

Food was average. Out of a party of 6 with 4 different meals, opinions varied. Burgers and shrimp tacos were liked, but fries were just okay, and the korean poutine was just not good, was missing kimchi, and the "korean sauce" didn't really taste spicy or like any korean food I've had before (more authentic). The drinks were excellent. I recommend the Passion Sour. The green sangria was also enjoyed by our party. I really enjoyed the décor and overall atmosphere. I'd return for drinks.

I started with a order or chicken wings and i can tell you they are amazing! They leave everything on the wing perfectly baked crispy skin. Then i had there calimar fry it also had a perfect batter , well fried and very fresh taste. My main plate was a beef done up in 10 hours of cooking beef ribs that fell off the bone very large portion i had to take a to go box with the second rib. This place is a must stop for the gourmet crowd. 5 stars and much more. Not crazy expensive! I was surprised. For what i got for my money. Writing this review makes me want to go back tonight! Thankfully I'am here for a few more weeks!

What can I say other than OMG - this place is a hell of a good time. The food and drinks are a solid 10, the service was quick and efficient, the music was awesome, and the decor is pretty cool. It did get kind of loud once traffic picked up (the echo is kinda intense) so If you are sensitive to loud noise, I'd go during lunch hour as it tends to be a bit less busy (or bring loops/ear plugs) but honestly I'd suffer through sensory overload again and again for that food The waitstaff are just as incredible as the food. Definitely going back and bringing friends.

OMG, they converted a church into a devil worshiping restaurant bar. This is a very stylish restaurant and is a fest for the eyes. While I loved the look of the place, I have to say I worried about my soul. It is probably a great place to surprise an unknowing date, friend or guest. The food was good, but not as interesting as the place itself. Stay away from the hamburgers, they were boring and not special. They were the type of hamburgers you can get anywhere else for less money. The other food we had was good and the presentation of the food was nice.

Food is delicious and mixed drinks were fabulous. The staff was very friendly, unfortunately the waitress never came back to the table to see if anyone wanted another drink. This was my second time at OMG and my only complaint is that the unisex bathroom is not clean. Everyone in my party agreed that there needs to be more attention paid to the cleanliness of the bathroom, especially on a busy Saturday night.

Went to enjoy the "Sherbrooke met la table " lunch menu. I had the fish and chips appetizer and it was amazing. The Merguez hotdog I had lacked a bit of zing, it was pretty plain but still good, the zucchini coleslaw was incredibely limp, boring tasting and unappetizing, the julienne fries on the other hand were golden and crispy. The dessert was as decadent and rich as you can expect, beignets were filled with chocolate and drizzled with two sauces on a bed of creamy goodness. The server was great and very helpful, the food was served hot and it arrived quickly.

Having a late dinner and bringing in a high school hockey team for dinner, definitely put the kitchen into its gears. Slamming the kitchen with our orders we were presented with a lot of them. Great plating and flavour profiles. Lobster taco was wonderful. If you’re an octopus salad, lover, and enjoy octopus. You might consider opting out at this overly priced octopus salad at this location as it was delicious, but the small octopus portion left us just having to order other things! Great place to visit and stay at the hotel/eat dinner

  • Madhu Malla

Nice place, good to reserve ahead of time to be sitted at tarrace. Slightly over price for regular food - not that of a exceptional food, not a fancy choice of menu either and top of that service was slow. I am posting pics of my food before I started before and after I couldn't eat. ‍♀️ This place might be good for drink and say you have been to Omg.. It might be for other food which I haven't tried...Do I want to come back? not sure. Wish I can award 2.5.. As I felt they are half way though.

  • Terry Mb

..visited on a Thurs night..very loud and busy. .. screwed up our order and had to wait for one of our guests to finally get their meal..didnt get any compensation for it either..is bit pricey here too for portion you get... the sangrias were all very weak as and not very tasty.. way too much ice!! Lol..PARKING is TERRIBLE and PLACE IS NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY..dont think we will be back..suggest you really be patient and give ur self lots of time if coming here and bring lots of money too!

  • VITCO

I don't think I will go back again. I have been so many restaurants from Euroup to Asia to North America, not a single person who works at the reservation desk not able to write my name. And at this restaurant this girl was so rude , I even tried to spell my name in French, English still wrong and when I said It was not correct she was just giving me a cold face with the staring eyes. So it ruined my mood , who would want to go to the restaurant with the bad service on Friday night ?

  • Čhløë

Called multiple times to get a reservation without an answer so we went in and were told there’s no room at all today and to reserve for another day, we leave and check online just to see that they had available reservations for later that night, Needless to say they definitely judge you on looks and then act all stuck up and better then you.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Perfect food, great service. I ordered the korean poutine, which seemed strange, but I was delighted about how it turned out. I love how the restaurant is in an unused church and has revamped the decoration to make it a bit more “sinful”. The strangely shaped unisex bathrooms were once again another nice surprise coming from this restaurant.

MAKE SURE THERE IS NO RUBBISH BIN BEHIND YOUR SOFA. staff bang whatever leftover on plates to the bin, and that action shakes your seat, SO OFTEN. staffs mix up table orders, carrying plates walking around or back to kitchen. food are average, i dislike my shrimp taco. salmon is not dry enough. steak is just regular. im sure other places can do better. this might be a good place as a bar or events but not good as a restaurant

  • Sam

I'm not sure what the OMG stands for, but the only WOW factor about this place is the decor. It was my first time there, and certainly my last. 50$ for two burgers and some sides! The only exciting thing about this place is the washrooms. The burgers were dull and the patties were unseasoned. The serving of fries was minuscule and the cesar salad was the best thing we had on the table. A major disappointment.

  • Talyse Watson

I would love to rate this higher because I love the atmosphere, but the service is just okay and so is the food. Ordered the lentil and rice burger. It was dry as hell, tasted like nothing and even though it came with it's own sauces, like guacomole, they gave so little of it that I couldn't even taste it. I added my own condiments and still tasted like nothing. Too bad, really wanted to like this place.

  • Cindy O.

I should've had just drinks there, not their food. Was extremely over pricy and all tasted like cheap frozen food. Pretty cool atmosphere for night hang out though. Server was pretty attentive till right before we paid our bill. We tried having a little chat with him while paying and felt like he just wanted us get out.

Order it extra sauce and extra cheese and you will be delighted. The fries are fantastic, the cheese, the sauce. Long lines at lunch .. but there is a reason for that. It is truly the best!!Bright, large, clean dining room. I had the Ben Bacon combo. A fresh meat hamburger with a poutine. While the hamburger was juicy as you would expect from a home made burger, the poutine was great

  • R. Desmond

Interesting restaurant but the food is fantastic. If you order anything burger, request a medium instead of well done. The beef tartar full plate is nice, I also love the shrimp tacos, the fries are nothing out of the ordinary. The place is totally OMG! The washroom is joint, with each own by doors for personal business, guys has stall. How convenient. Also the staff is great!

  • Janet Cowan Weber

Made reservations for 3 and we were seated at 2 different tables. We waited for 40 minutes at different parts of the restaurant at 2 different tables before a member of our party saw me walking out. When we finally got together at the same table and served lunch after a long wait: - cold French fries, well done meat was served rare. OMG what a disaster.

  • Steven Mansour

Very decent veggie burger considering this is a meathead joint. Actual patty with good fixins rather than some weird raw food burger like some other places. Excellent fries and other sides. Not cheap though, and the beer selection leaves a little to be desired. Interesting interior nestled in an old church. Bit of a hipster / faux riche vibe.

  • Stevie V

Beautiful restaurant with creative food. Set in an old church, the space was awesome. The food was high end, but nothing incredible. The burgers were very good, although not completely cooked to order. The steak tartare was not very impressive and the french fries with the poutine were lacking. Service was very good.

An interesting repurpose of an old church. No English menus Bathroom appears to be unisex with a urinal right in the middle of it. Very odd and somewhat confusing. My daughters were not comfortable going without an adult so we will.probably not return. Food... I got a regular poutine and it was just ok.

Really original location! This is such a fun place to go for food and drinks. It’s also fairly affordable and you do get a lot of food. Drinks are a bit on the pricier ends (but I guess that’s because you’re drinking in the lords house? Haha). Service is a bit slow but they’re very hospitable.

  • Étienne Lévesque

Very good food, and very nice atmosphere, although I would've liked the music to be just a little but quieter. The service was a little slow for me however. Two tables right beside me arrived about 15-20 minutes after me but got served at the same time. Very good experience otherwise.

The food is amazing! The aged burgers are tender and the fish of the day that day was a seared tuna that was melt in your mouth. Loss of 1 star because the service is slow and we went 2 nights in a row and both nights were slow. Great ambience.

  • Lawrence L

I was very dissapointed with the food , the burger looked great but was dry and tasteless. When a burger and fries cost $25 plus one expects a melt in you mouth amazing taste. Too bad at least the service was good and the place looks amazing.

  • Charles Verret

I had the chef's special fish which was unfortunately an unseasoned piece of salmon with a side of beet salad, minus the vinaigrette. Beautiful restaurant, but I was quite disappointed with my food. Guess I'll stick to the burgers next time.

Really pricey and not a lot of choices, I personally wouldn't recommend it but the toilets are really nice and they give you a little chocolate at the so they got that going for them. Probably is good for people who like really fancy stuff
