Normally the meat pies are just ok... However, my last & I say my last pie from here did not have a flaky pastry lid, the pastry was like concrete & no steak in the steak pie. I could not return to the next day to complain. When I did manage to the next day I was met by an annoyed manager/ owner saying it was his sons fault rather than addressing the problem Message to owner, when you sell garbage & a customer complains, the customer only has cause to be annoyed. Don't just throw another pie on the counter & give the customer attitude & expect all will be ok - NOT!! Message to the owner in response to your response - you can twist the story as much as possible - the rudeness was on your side. The pie you sold me was not fit for human consumption. I gave you the opportunity to explain why, you gave me attitude. Please don't lecture me on customer service when it is you that has the problem
This little coffee place is a gem in Lane Cove. Their coffee is probably the best you can get in this area and their sweets never disappoint. If you haven't done it already, do yourself a favour and try the delicious custard brioche they have, they are soooo good (too easy to eat if you ask me :) ). They are polite, hard working and really offer good value for money. If you are ever in Lane Cove, make this place your coffee and treat stop, you will not regret it :) PS: it gets very busy in the morning so seating can be a bit tricky if you have more than 2 people.
Very disappointing! I asked to buy Portuguese tarts. I asked if they had any left and they brought forward a tray of recently cooked ones. After paying for 4, they went outside to the front and grabbed a bag that had been sitting outside in the sun (for I assume hours) and gave it to me. The bag was sweating with water condensation. I wish I raised it at the time. Needless to say, tasted awful and pastry was soft and soggy. Had to bin it. Poor form on their behalf!
Really nice and friendly place. I think I got here after the lunchtime rush...I could see that most of the cakes, pies etc had been snapped up, though there were still plenty to choose from. The coffee was pretty good too - a touch bitter but in a good way...I swear some places just serve up caffeinated milk Good spot too, if you want to sit down and relax a bit.
Easily some of the best pies you will ever have. Home baked, beautiful flavours and pastry, and reasonably priced. Do yourself a favour and try these pies. The coffee and milkshakes are phenomenal too, and the atmosphere of the shops is calming and cosy
Probably the best coffee in Sydney. It's robust, consistent, aromatic and doesn't have a weak milky taste. The staff are always friendly and take the time to know you and remember your name. You won't be disappointed giving them a try.
Excellent coffee. My husband and I had chicken and mushroom pies for lunch. The pie was delicious and full of chunky chicken meat
Good restaurant to have a cup of coffee and read newspaper, price is cheaper but coffee quality is quite good …
Pleasant corner cafe for quality cakes, pastries, drinks. A couple of outside tables and indoor seating as well.
