Had children in this school for the last 4 yrs. no I’m not a typical school Mum but my children are happy and taught by wonderful staff. I do have to say I’m intrigued at the lower ratings of those who have ‘walked through’ and ‘heard’ about this school, but I’ve walked the walk! I can also confirm the children do not play in the carpark! :/ This school does have an open learning style as in combined classes. This is not for everyone, but as a mother of one child who is academically driven, the other ... not so much :) they are both progressing extremely well!!
This is a great school the principal is a wonderful lady and is just amazing with the kids. The teachers are fantastic also. My son came from a small school previously and we were unaware of his standard and level of knowledge. The school picked up on this within a few weeks and he was put into a group to catch up and he has come leaps and bounds and now in an above average percentile in most areas of his schooling. Not to mention he is the most settled he has ever been.
My friend sent her children to the school. The way the teachers treat some of the students are not good. The teachers pick on the students and harass them. As they lead up to the older years (year 5, year 6) be aware of what is happening to your children in the classroom and outside.
interesting to read some of the comments as i think this school is good. My daughter is happy here and we love the community environment that they create.
School needs a culture change, the place is like going backwards in time to the 1960s.
