Ox!! I'm actually smiling as I give this review. So here it goes: Ox is a sight for sore eyes, dine in or Outdoor dining. It has ample parking space... and it is bold, eclectic in design, glitzy, with an upscale ambience which is translated into it's extensive menu. They open Mon-Sat 5pm till 11.30pm and Sundays 6pm-12am. Ox has the kind of interior design and angles that you can't miss or fail to take a picture of Yourself in. Even for the picture shy ones...you'll be taking pictures of yourself at every turn. The staff are very courteous and polite. You will need a reservation if you are seeking to come in with a crowd or intend to sit on a table. Or you can be like me and just walk-in and sit by the Bar. At first I didn't like the idea of sitting at the bar by myself. However, if you are looking at going alone or even with a friend to Ox you'll be delighted with the Bar setting. I had a great time being doted on by the skillful Bartenders and of course watching them perform while they mixed up the cocktails. The music selection was eclectic and made my evening. In short, I loved sitting by the bar. Now to the drinks...if you are looking for a place with a wide choice for cocktails..look no further. Ox has a delicious range of cocktails and other drinks...pricey no doubt but divinely delicious. I tried the Gin Basil cocktail and it tasted tart, fresh, sweet and of course the gin cut through really well (boozy). I lovvvved it! The price didn't bother me after the first sip. Ox also has an extensive food menu..however it is quite pricey so I'll suggest you plan and come prepared ahead of your visit. Cocktails cost from N4500 and above and some main meals (Spaghetti) cost N5500 while Steak meals from N16,000. Starters are within N4800 - N5000 above. I only had the starter which was the Chicken wings in bbq. It tasted really nice. There was something about the bbq sauce that made me love it. It had a sweet and sour taste which paired well with the Chicken. I'm yet to try their main course hence my 4star. Once I get to visit again (which I most definitely will) I will try their main meal. Overall, I had a great time. It's really spacious inside and outside. It is effortlessly beautiful. I'll recommend Ox for birthday dinners, couples hangout, work/friends night out, and family get-together. They also offer take outs.

I am giving 3 stars because the ambience is really good and it's a relaxing environment plus valet parking is free but the food . If I'm going to spend a lot of money dining at an expensive restaurant, the taste needs to blow my head off. I had the Nigerian platter and it was bland. The snail and gizzard looked like it was in a small bowl of stew rather than actual sauce and it wasn't appealing in the bowl. Just a few plantain and yam on the platter which was ok. Not bad but just there. Don't get me started on the suya. Let's just say, i have had way better suya. The platter was made up of beef suya majorly, snail, gizzard, fried yam, fried plantain. This cost 17k. Nestlé bottle water- N1500 and a glass of juice (not fresh juice) - N1500. Let's get to customer service, the waiters were courteous, attended to us and tried to sort out our problems with scanning the menu qr code. The food didn't take too long to come out but payment took quite some time. We couldn't get any waiter for over 20 mins to give us our bill. One of the foreign managers approached us to ask about the meal and I gave my honest feedback. He said we could have mentioned it before so they could take it back to the kitchen to spice it up and get it done properly. All in all, it was an ok experience

The food was good, the drinks were great and well priced. The DJ was off the hook! Had a fantastic time dancing. I felt safe at all times, even though the bouncers were intimidating as they should be, they still made you feel welcome. Parking was available and I am glad this is one of the few times there weren't touts asking us for money as we left the the venue. That always left a bitter taste in my mouth when I am about leaving some venues and this is the first time in a long time I didn't experinece the agitation that came with being harassed for money before you can driving off a venue. I didn't even realise this always left a bad taste in my mouth until I didn't have to experience it this time. Customer experinece was great! The hostesses found seats quickly and ushered us in accordingly, as Covid procedures mandated. The bar tenders were quick and the cocktails were fantastic (I had a drink called godfather). Overall, great experience. Ill definitely be going again soon.

A very new upscale restaurant in Lagos with valet parking. The layout is great and the design gives the feeling of one very airy limitless space. The space is also divided into indoor and outdoor dining, with extra permissions for a more indulgent feasting. The menu is limited. However it is compensated with a well thought through array of combinations that will easily prompt a choice for birds, animals, or "waterlings". A personal recommendation will be the steak sandwich, which a tasty moist steak in slightly toasted bread. The oozy goodness must be controlled for seeping liquids from the sides of your mouth and through fingers. The food comes quickly, and the wait time is averagely 20 minutes. The waiters are highly trained, courteous, and display an ownership of the menu. So you can ask for a recommendation of what to eat if you hate scouring through restaurant menus.

I heard there was a new big boy lounge in town, my partner and I visited it on one of our date nights. The ambience was exquisite- looks like a club with a diner at the back. It had a touch of privacy I liked. First turn off was that cars parked inside were selected - only luxurious cars. Others had to park outside. The service was ok except the waiters seemed overwhelmed which was surprising because I could see very few guests. To which she said they were running on overtime shifts because some workers went home early. We both order rice with lamb chops and oxtail respectively. It was amazing! Made up for the average service. I ordered a pinacolada and was grossly disappointed. I would recommend for a casual date night or hang out with friends. But if you are looking for a romantic place, this isn’t for you. Rating it 3 star because I’ve had better services.

This upscale restaurant features a smoking, non smoking and an outdoor seating area. The ambience is pretty with plenty of lighting and sleek contemporary furnishings. They have a good bartender because all the drinks I had were extremely nice, the welcome bread and appetiser I ordered (combo mix)were also good. I’m not a big fan of their meals though, there was just something odd about the things we ordered especially the spaghetti bolognese, just didn’t hit the spot for me. However their dessert made up for it and their staff are quite helpful and offered to get me a replacement meal. The music isn’t overpowering so you can have a nice conversation with your company. All in all, I had a good experience and would definitely recommend this place. They also offer shisha services and their’s is amongst the best I’ve had in Lagos.

Is the OX worth your time ⏲ and money ❓ Location: Right in the heart of VI. Table booking: Security told us that they don't do tables without reservation. But 'miraculously' they made an exception (not to mention that there was sufficient seating space anyways). Ambience: Beautiful inside and outside seating. Food: Heavy and the meat and fish side, less for vegetarians (as the restaurant name also implies). Menu is quite crisp and the food was delicious. Portion are rather small (as often in upscale restaurants) ‍‍ Service: Friendly and fast. Prices : Fair compared to other upscale establishments in the Island area. For two people without alcoholic drinks (starter, main course and desert) we paid roughly 50,000 NGN. Fazit: Recommendable!

Ox Restaurant has great aesthetic appeal, with good service. The free valet parking is a subtle treat and the place feels upscale with ample expatriate presence. I was disappointed to be informed that dining within the confines of the air conditioned restaurant - albeit the open air rear section is also cozy well put together - required a reservation. They have to find a way to make this information available on their Google search result, as that’s the most popular way people seek information about a place. I had their Nigerian platter, the Yam was fried crisp and the Plantain fresh out the pan. The accompanying Chicken suya was decent, so were the sauces Gizzard and Snails. It’s a place I recommend for dates and quality chill.

I liked the ambience. I feel it would be pop more as a chill spot than eating spot. The appetizer was Cheddar rolls, absolutely delicious. I had the fish and chips, substituted Chips for Mash (error move). The mash is basically 3 scoops. The quality of the fish was real good, but wasn't as tasty as I'd hoped. It might be too chunky for spices to get through ‍♂️ My partner had Chicken and Mash. It was decent. Also ordered the seafood pizza; not bad, room for improvement. Will return some other time just to chill. Good luck!! Small Complaints - Pls more steamed vegetables with meals - The plates are too massive, makes the meal look miniscule.

I enjoyed every part of my platter. Their manager is really amazing. The platter was supposed to come with snails but they didn’t put it. I called the attention of the waiter who served me and he took the complain to his manager. Who came over and apologized. He went into the kitchen and came to tell me that they will give make my order from beginning as a take away and this time there will be snails in it. I had two platters that day. I just paid for one and the other I didn’t. I forgot to mention I got free desserts for myself and my date. The cocktail was amazing . The waiters are super friendly and nice.

To start with, you must visit OX restaurant if you’re reading this from the parking, the space, the food to the waiters! I totally enjoyed my visit. I had grilled fish and sautéed veggies which was so delicious, I finished my food! My friend had their sandwich and fries, I don’t know who eats that as dinner (she mustn’t see this). I also ordered their chicken wings to take out, I sadly didn’t get to taste it because I gave a friend. They have quite a large parking space, so you don’t have to worry. Heard you need to make reservations on weekends, I went on a weekday.

Ox has a sophisticated vibe going for it. The waiters are good but a bit unresponsive, wondered why because this was a Wednesday which isn’t a peak period. There’s the indoor (fine dining) and outdoor. I sat at outside, just by the bar because I wanted to do drinks. To my surprise, i literally had to wait for 10 mins before a bar man tending to the outdoor section appeared. It was also obvious they just brought someone to fill in cos I started getting impatient. I’ll suggest the manager conduct spot checks on the outdoor operations.

7 Square Restaurant and Bar is an all purpose spot made to pamper your groove. It's got an indoor and outdoor seating with bars. A variety of menus that would keep you lost in choice. A selection of wines neatly inclined on the wall, breathe taking artworks that will cuddle your affinity for food. The temperature is homely with waiters/waitresses that are actually waiting on you The outdoor settings looks like a live band can be staged. And the rest room, pretty much where I would love to take a rest after eating.

This place is the shizznit. Very impressed with all we had. Ideal for both small and large groups. Prices are $$$. Ambience is super nice and feels Cosy yet upscale. Has outdoor sitting as well. Had the Grilled salmon medium raw and it was perfect. The mash could have been better presented. All the platters were really good. The milkshakes were not ordinary. That's refreshing. Their veggie pizza with feta cheese and olives is too amazing to be a vegetarian pizza even kids love it! Reservations recommended.

The restaurant is nice. It has an outdoor and indoor sitting area. The food is nice but comes in small portions. The DJ is really good. He played really lovely songs and I enjoyed it. People smoke at the indoor sitting area so if you don’t like the smell of smoke ‍♀️. Good parking space as well. Good customer service.

It was an awesome experience, starting from the wonderful customer service experience to the sumptuous meals... Had spicy chicken wings, chicken spring rolls and beef rib, I couldn't fault any of the meal cos they tasted heavenly. Tried 2 different cocktails which were amazing. And the restroom experience was top notch. Myself and hubby are so impressed with this place. It's indeed a place to be and you get value for your money. I forgot to mention that we sat outside and the Dj was simply amazing.

Amazing spout for hangouts. I prefer the outdoor lounge / bar. Very beautiful aesthetics. The entrance is so appealing and is also a very good site to take quick pictures / selfies. The outdoor bar is pretty quiet with calm music playing in the background… It’s well lit for the evening and very airy. The food is great too. I was already full so I only tried out the as much food as possible. I tried the fish though. Visits there and let me know what you think.

The food choices were good. From international to local food of your choice. The drinks menu has plenty of choices ranging from cocktails, beets, spirits to non alcoholic drinks to please all. Service was good aswell from the waitress that was wating on my table. Generally a good place to hang and chill with good ambiance. I like to sit outside and chill. They have in door seating for those who like to party and dance to loud music. The open till late too.

Lovely resturant. Parking is limited. You might have to park outside the compound. The decor is lovely. The dining area is a good place for first dates, or romantic dinners. The area is also good for bigger crowd like birthday party. Staff very friendly. Food menu is quite good and price is pocket friendly especially if you want good food. Ambience is good. I ordered Penne alfredo aka Chicken alfredo and i didnt regret it. It was well made. Delicious.

Ahhh !!! Don't ask me again oooo google...the environment was spectacular. the food,drinks menu was available and it didn't take time to deliver the food for my wife and I. Good place to take pictures, thinking you are "in the abroad" And they have pretty women and handsome guys there, ready to be at your service. And also the toilets or rest room are very very clean. Try the restaurant and come back to give me 10 .

Rating 3 star because of the ambience mostly. Food was very very average. Had the lamb chops and it was hella dry, rice was also blah, someone in the group I was with had the chicken breast and that was like a solid 2 or 2.5 too. However it's new and in so if you wanna see some celebs, then pull through. There's a lot of paparazzi when getting in and fancy cars around if that's a thing for you. The wait staff was a good 4 though.

I visited Ox for the first time for a birthday dinner. They have a large parking space with valet parking. The attendants were very courteous and welcoming. Nice artworks spotted the entrance and inside with great ambience. I enjoyed the food with nice and tasty cocktail. In-house DJ knows the current vibes and I was moved to dance. In all, Ox restaurant is a great place chill out and is affordable.

Take two stars because your response to service Time was slow… cocktails were nice… the meal was 80% not bad, ordered ribeye steak yummy Music was cool at least I could hear me, unlike ZAZA. Overall Experience 75/100 ambiance /fittings are deteriorating, always upgrade your style and settings I mean that’s what I see useful businesses do.

It is strictly by reservations for dinner from 5pm and walk in for lunch. Booking at 2pm for dinner, only the outdoor sitting area was available. Pricy food but very delicious. The sweet chilli sauce for spring rolls was so good. The mustard sauce for the grilled chicken really nice. The sauce was it for me. Tasty meals. Valet parking.

Ox is bullish on entertainment, using every available space within its ample premises to deliver a really nice experience all round. But there was no beer. Not a drop anywhere. Beef, chicken, lamb, but no beer at Ox. Hard to bear that one. So, 4 stars instead of 5.

The staff are a huge part of this 5 star rating, they were welcoming, warm and kind. Very attentive and helpful. The food is prepared as you order and it's served with smiles. The decor is warm, neat and clean. I enjoyed my time here plus I must mention that the rest room is super neat and comfortable. I'd be back ❣

It’s always good vibes here. If you visit in a group, I suggest you order the 7square platter. There’s a bit of everything in it and it’s great for sharing. It didn’t come with any side though so we had to other our sides. The sauce of the peppered snail is so good that we ended up using it with everything.

Meals are delicious, I think I had the cream pasta and it was amazing. Ambience is beautiful especially for photos...you'd love it. A cosy place to visit in the evening after work and be sure to have a good time with delicious meals. Ample parking. Meals are a bit pricey, so go with your card loaded.

Food here is pricey but the portions are sizable in comparison... But what I don't understand is their version of Mozzarella sticks... It is actually fries and melted cheese on top, doesn't make any sense. I wonder if they were too lazy to prepare real mozzarella sticks, in any case they were alright

I really love this space. Fantastic ambience, good food, good parking space with free valet parking. Although it's a bit pricey but you do get your money's worth. Definitely call to book a reservation before going. I had their Sea food linguine, Ox signature cocktail and Strawberry cheesecake.

Love, love the ambiance of this restaurant. The inside has a different aesthetic from the outside. You get the option of seating inside or at the back. When I’m in Lagos, Nigeria definitely one of my favorite fine dining spot. The fusion of a blend of different Nigerian Cuisine is to die for.

Best service, great food and awesome drinks! Outdoors was perfect. Samuel was our server and he was above and beyond offering alternatives and suggestions. Eli the manager was warm and welcoming to feedback. All in all, one of my best Lagos experiences aNd I definitely recommend dinner at Ox.

I like that it was picturesque but they permit smoking inside and outside so I chose to sit outside. There were flies so I sat in front of a fan which in turn made my food cold. The food was presented nicely but it was bland and pricy. My drink was very strong so I couldn't drink it.

This restaurant is very well managed and the food is super tasty, Don’t get me started on the roasted veggies (so flavourful). I like that it has an indoor and outdoor area, the outdoor is ideal for gatherings and little celebration, they have great platter options.

The meal was awesome. The cocktail names was funny and the staff was courteous and patient. My friends and I enjoyed their services.

I totally love this place, the ambience is fantastic ! Food great also! They make the best strawberry Daiquiri. Food presentaion also is beautiful. Very friendly staff too. And d DJ on Fridays and Saturdays is just MAD!!!

The food tasted great. We were going to have starters and a main meal. The starter was almost a meal on it's own. Ended up not getting a main meal. We had chicken dippers and chicken suya.

Nice ambience, we dined in the outdoor section and the waiters are very quick to meet your requests. They have live band on specific days, we missed that. But quite and cool place.

It gets top marks for aesthetics. You can tell that a lot of thought and effort was put into the design. But the service is not great and the food was good but not great either.
